Such a funny video. That last line piece was intenseHaven't played Tetris in a hot minute. Might just play it today because of this video.
It got me how they made a static game like Tetris seem so intense.
I'm assuming that these twin gods will be actual characters that will have interactions, and not just a belief among the empire.SharkBark
Yo, Shark. Wanted to ask your permission for something regarding the Seiryoku Empire. I wanted to make these twin gods who are representative of the yin and yang symbol. But since the Seiryoku Empire is like a mixture of a lot of Asian cultures, they'd kind of be an amalgamation of different aspects from different Asian cultures to signify that. So, they're fox gods, but they'd have aspects of kitsunes/kumiho's/huli jing's and every other type of fox spirit in Asian cultures. They're the gods of order and chaos respectively, and the yin and yang symbol in this world would be representative of them chasing each other's tail to keep the balance in the world. They're also representative of different things from their different aspect. Like I said, order and chaos, good has a little evil and evil has a little good, and a symbol of balance inside the soul. They'd be specifically worshipped in the Seiryoku Empire, usually by Shinobi but also just regular citizens and even samurai. What do you think?
From what Alpha told me, they're not just for the Seiryoku to worship. They're incoporated to the overall Pantheon. They'd be about as reall to the Seiryoku as they are to Ironshire.I'm assuming that these twin gods will be actual characters that will have interactions, and not just a belief among the empire.
This is an interesting idea you've got here. I specifically like the part where they're more of a combination of each culture, rather than being static. Nicely done diversity. But, there's something here that doesn't quite blend in too well with the narrative rooted for the empire, especially involving the king. First, there's the matter of there being others worshipped besides Heath. I believe that I've stated this before, but not directly to you, it was an interaction between Kumii and Kaminari; Heath resents those of higher power than him. He feels that he always needs to be the most superior in the room, physically and metaphorically, which is the main reason that he was so enraged when he had lost to the Onyx Beetles.
Now, yes, there was that instance where Kaminari brought up another god, Chang-Soo-Do, but he's entirely fictional in the Seiryoku world and isn't highly mentioned. As well as Kaminari getting praised when he had entered the empire with Kumii, this was just because he is highly respected, not worshipped. So, having Heath be obsessed with being acclaimed by his citizens but then having two others that are worshipped doesn't fit too well just alone like that.
The idea of these characters is intriguing, but kinda diminishes the death grip Heath wants to have on his empire. Even to the point where he's had his people leave behind their previous idols in their culture. Unjust, yes, but it's what I'd like to incorporate into his character.
However, you and I can develop a solution to this. Not too many ideas come to mind at the moment. Maybe there could be something that makes even Heath believe that they are worthy of being worshipped, I don't know, ideas don't come to my head as quickly as it does with you .
But if you happen to think of something, I'm all ears.
Yeah, like Kumii said, they'd be actual characters and additions to Atheria's pantheon. And Kumii's correct in saying they are additions to the pantheon, meaning the Seiryoku Empire wouldn't just be the ones to worship them, other nations would as well, but their home is in Seiryoku as well as most of their worshippers. I just haven't really developed them too much, nor do the twins have names yet. They're just kind of a cool idea that came to mind, and I specifically wanted to incorporate them into the Seiryoku Empire because it does seem to be the melting pot nation for Asian culture, which is up their alley. Mostly because their whole inspiration was the ying and yang symbol which originated in Chinese culture so it's in line with Seiryoku.I'm assuming that these twin gods will be actual characters that will have interactions, and not just a belief among the empire.

Ohh, I understand now. I perceived this as a sort of India and Shiva kind of relationship within the empire where there is a human ruler, but there's also a god that is worshipped more profoundly.Yeah, like Kumii said, they'd be actual characters and additions to Atheria's pantheon. I think this goes perfectly with the narrative of Heath not tolerating other worship. It's done in private, and as you said, they're Shinobi, who are stealthy in nature. That'd definitely make it a bit difficult for Heath and his guards to find out about it. I'll go with the idea of him not knowing, because if he did I feel that it might end up being resolved quickly due to the Royal Guards.Remember how I said they were worshipped by shinobi, well maybe the shinobi of the empire secretly worship the twin gods behind Heath's back. Basically, like the Disciples of Umbra, they would be an underground network for people to worship whatever gods they choose and not be persecuted by Heath. With them having a basis with Shinobi, they would be extremely hard for the Sugosha and the rest of Heath's party to find if they were so keen on tackling the problem, or if they even knew about it in the first place. That way, it's not out in the open to conflict with Heath's character, and it's also only a small percentage of the empire who are still holding onto their traditions and beliefs from before the empire became a thing.
Thanks, Shark! You got it. We can collaborate on making the secret area, but for now I don't really have any ideas regarding that.Ohh, I understand now. Considering that the Seiryoku Empire is probably the main place in the role-play that has Asian representation, I understand your idea to have them sort of originate from there.

This also increases the stakes of the situation, which is gonna be really interesting. As stated in Heath's character sheet, he's been known to have put traitors to death. So that makes the danger of getting caught for the Shinobi even higher, which would be an interesting concept to have.
Anyways, following your explanation, you have my "okay" on having the twin gods incorporated with Seiryoku. I think I'll create a secret area or passage that they go to do their worships. Or if you have an idea for somewhere, shoot.
You said that you haven't developed them too much, so if in the future you make any additions or changes to them that involve Seiryoku, please inform me.
What an amazing "stumble" Introduced us to this heat.I stumbled on this on a youtube short. It absolutely bumped so I looked it up, it's a great rap lol
