How come they aren't currently married? Did the marriage get called off by Skyla?
Michael thought Skyla and her family was lost when the Desert ate the Royal Palace in the Great Tragedy of the Desert 20 years ago.

These events took place a mere 6 months before that happened, so Skyla wasnt quite old enough by then.

The dude who summons black holes 😭
Oh yeah, I should mention, that his abilities aren't just the three listed on his sheet. That's only due to the limitations of the code used. He and every other character who uses the same code layout all can use their elements in much more expansive ways. Think of the three named abilities listed as 'Signature Abilities'.

all except the High Queen. Hers are limited to just her three abilities listed.

Finished reading Artemis. Poor boy! He lost his village, his sight, and even his family didn't believe he could heal himself. But then he gained Toshinoro and Basirah and he's doing fine over in Luminosa. Glad he found some form of happiness, boy deserves it. I love that his relationship with Toshinoro is surprisingly very wholesome, considering I've been thinking of Toshinoro as the villain to Rai's story, what with everything the guy did to his own daughter. But they have such a wholesome mentor/apprentice relationship. Though I'm not letting my guard down with Toshinoro lol

Though, with the fact that his magic is strong enough to permanently blind someone, and also incinerate them, he must be incredibly gifted with it. It's a shame that he basically learned his strengths by blinding himself, but he could definitely get extremely powerful with the right training.

Also, for some reason, I love the name Goulcrest. I just imagination a desolate village with wrecked and abandoned houses after everything the raiders did. And plenty of restless ghosts wandering about.

I feel like Hunter and Artemis would get along even better considering they can relate to each other. Both have permanent injuries due to magical means, and both of those injuries have limited their sight. For Hunter its partial blindness, because the eye with the Lichtenburg figure doesn't work properly and sight is completely lost in that eye, while Artemis has complete blindness apart from using Basirah to see. They can relate to each other in ways that they can't relate to anyone else, and I'd like to think the two try to help each other out to solve any problems that come up with blindness. Plus they could help train each other, and Hunter would be one of the only friendly, non judgey people in Luminosa. Also, I like the irony of their names, considering Artemis is the Goddess of the Hunt in Greek mythology, and our Artemis has a friend named Hunter lol

Thanks for taking the time to read it! I thought the background would be boringly long 😭

And you see the irony in it too, yeah? You're definitely not wrong for seeing Toshinoro as more of a villain, because that's really how I described him in his own character sheet and Aurora's. With Artemis's sheet, I decided to show a more "father-like" side of him to create that irony, but also a glimpse at a sort of redemption. Toshinoro had initially failed his actual children, and seeing him now act as a guardian toward another child and actually being there this time shows growth in him as a character, and as a father. But as we progress through the arc, he'll begin to lean back toward an antagonist type of feeling.
Though I'm not letting my guard down with Toshinoro lol
I don't blame you 😭

You definitely got this part down. Bro was basically nerfed by his loss of sight, but without it, he never would have trained as hard, never would have met Toshinoro and Basirah, and most likely wouldn't have been as strong as he is now. Hence, the part where Artemis begins to see his blindness as less of a limitation.

Yooo, I still can't comprehend how you think of stuff like this 😭 I just went on a website and randomly generated a fantasy city name, but reading this now, I can now see how it could correlate with the city. Heavy on the ghosts, including Tyche, rest her soul. 😔

Also, I might just make some of Goulcrest being left destroyed canon, it's an interesting concept. (is this the part where i say thank you for the idea? 😭)

Hunter and Artemis training together sounds like a wholesome moment idk why 😭 There'll definitely be a lot of times where Hunter checks Artemis's form, considering that he can't really see it on his own. I'd like to think that they'd have an interesting friendship, and I even think that they'd be a good duo in battle as well.

Again, HOW do you think of this kind of stuff 😭

I wonder how Artemis would react to finding out that Hunter is hiding a deity of death within him lol

I'd say that it would definitely end up intimidating him; it could spark a bit of fear as well. But as long as he knows that Hunter has her under control he'd feel some comfort about it.

That's up to Alpha ultimately is she chose to reveal any of that information to Artemis

Definitely. Don't exactly see someone else telling him, unless Sebastian chose to spill the information to cause tension between them. (if he knows about it, of course)

Dunno. If the trust is high enough, it may come up.

Sebastian has no clue about it. No one does, not even Hunter at this point. Asraeth is still dormant inside of him as she doesn't have enough power yet, though I imagine Mateo running around, causing ruckus with the group while having made an official pact with Serena would get her to rouse from her slumber. Though Ivan does have his suspicions on why Hunter just suddenly got magic after his injury.

Though, if he did tell Artemis, he'd just be panicking about it. I'd say the trust would be high between them, as training buddies and one of the first friends they both made, so Hunter wouldn't be afraid to tell him, he'd just be afraid about seeing a chaotic deity and need help from the guy who's been there for him for so long. It says a lot about your family when you go to your best bud for help controlling a chaotic deity of a patron over literally everyone else in that family lol

It's sad that bro can't even go to his family about something as drastic as that. Can't even imagine how he must feel about that.

Honestly, it would probably be a death sentence for him with how superstitious his family is. Asraeth is a darker figure, opposite to light, so it likely wouldn't turn out well with the Lucero's. Most of that family is terrible, but we do have some good eggs in there. Hunter and August are friendly, but not completely trusting with their problems either. But that's one good support system in the family, should they grow to trust each other and take a leap of faith.

Yoo, I totally forgot about that on the lore sheet. Isn't the color black also resented? Darkness is basically in that category. So it really would be a huge risk for them to find out. Dang, that's harsh.

Yup, they have a whole thing surrounding black and everything related to darkness is frowned upon. Dark magic is completely outlawed in the city as well, so it would totally be a huge risk for him to go 'hey fam, I got a death deity living inside my body and giving me power.' And they are not above putting down their own family. I mean, the brothers, at least two of them, went against each other. History would just be repeating itself at that point.
