Ever since the dawn of civilization have the races of this world we know as Eurion been at each other's necks.

Races fought over land and the entirety of the Human race broke up, as unlike other species, their drive was for personal benefit. However this drive drove the separate and small nations to victory in many wars and battles. Humanity was not defenseless, even when separated.

Now, after the great Dragon War, with the near extinction of dragons, new Kingdoms have risen as old Kingdoms have fallen. Will you lead your people to fortune and glory, or succumb early to the inevitable?

-Races-

Human - The most common race of Eurion, Humans are the most ambitious and curious race in the realm. They have the power of emotional strength, and use it to drive their ideas and hopes into realities.

Elf - Drow, Grey, High, Wood, and Aquatic Elves make this great list. Long ago the Gods separated the first race into five different categories due to fear of their power. They now are all very hostile to each other and fight over land and disputes constantly through centuries. They dislike Humans.

Orc - Orcs are bloodthirsty and naturally muscular and savage green or brown people that live in large clans, however they have been known to be ruled by an occasional civilized Orc or a clever mastermind of another race. They have a bad history with Humans.

Dwarf - Dark, Mountain, and Peak dwarves make up the three different categories. Dark dwarves are generally evil and greedy, Mountain dwarves are greedy as well, however they are generally neutral and insanely good at crafting and blacksmithing along with combat. Peak dwarves are usually neutral or good and are known as being a rare and low population race that are battlehardened and are known for riding drakes and dragons. They are hated by Orcs. They dislike Elves.

Gnome - Gnomes are a curious and ingenious race, the second race created by the gods. They were made as the god's workers and assistants. They were once almost as intelligent as the gods themselves, when there were only one hundred, however when the gods mortalized all of the races their intelligence was lowered, however they were still clever and insanely smart. Their speed aided in being workers and still do today. They are hated by Orcs.

Halfling - Halflings are a quiet people that get around by trade and diplomacy, however they are known to be experts in unconventional and guerrilla combat when it comes to a major threat. All of the races generally have a neutral relationship with Halflings.

Other - Make it up. (And feel free to have a mixed race Nation)

-Gods-

Davanas - God of Drinking, Adventure, and Outlaws.

Ursa - Goddess of Protection.

Lord Soth - God of Necromancy and Death.

Grommar - God of War and Pride.

Dracaris - God of Magic.

Vindellin - God of Thievery and Greed.

Thadeus - God of Nature.

Herrin - God of War and Loyalty.

Herah - Goddess of Wisdom.

Honeydu - God of Mining and Crafting.

Lei - Goddess of the Moon.

Sol - Goddess of the Sun.

Light - Goddess of Life, Health, and Power.

Be sure to upgrade Technology over time, however max is Steampunk.

It was your average day for Velaria. People walking around, traders barking at your face, offering a discount... However, something did not feel right, not only for Velaria, but for many of the other nations as well. There was a sinking feeling in everyone's chest that day.

The day it began.

Far south of Vizapur the waters were seemingly being harrassed by something. A strong current built and the waters from the shore began to withdraw, being sucked into something from afar. The sky turned dark with storm clouds and thunder struck all at the same point, the same point where the water was being drawn.

And in that day, the devout magi of that world began to feel an aching feeling in their chests... All magi knew that feeling, they could sense what spell was being casted, a forbidden one. Major dark magic was at work.

Many seers, shaman, and magi of different kingdoms approached their rulers, asking them to at least scout out the area of distress.

"What do you mean... a distress?", Varian asked as he sipped on a wooden mug. You'd expect a rich lord to have his hall made of fine gold and jewelry, but Varian liked to keep it classic and simple with fine wood and hide.

"All of the magi in the kingdom sense it. Forbidden magic is at work... Magic banned for a reason!", The Royal Advisor, Ferrwick, cried. He gripped the King's collar and shook at it. "This is unlike any spell seen before! I beg of you, pleas-"

"Fine, I will send out a few warships....", Varian sighed, "Crazed bastard...", he muttered.

Today was different from the other days, the people of her nation were freighted. They could sense the dangerous power of the black magic at hand.

Many approached her castle in search of answers to what was going on. Having no clue to what was happening, she did absolutely nothing about the problem. She would leave that to the council....

Stepping in through the door to her bed chambers. She was surprised to see the council there. " Um....why are you people in my bed chambers....." Speaking softly to them. "We're here to discuss the problems in the western oce-". Interrupting."Then do some thing about it...I'm not sending in my avian brigade.....and we're not sending in citizens to check it out...." She said in a rather annoyed tone. "...Just let the Kitenku's take care of it....they should worn us of the problem." Coming up with the new plan.
(Thought I posted a while ago...srry...)

Luna looked at the people in her room. It had open windows with lots of hanging curtains and flowers. A look of concern was gracing her face as she looked at the people. "A disturbance? Dark magic? Send a scout party. I will not have my people distressed." She said, waiving them away. She smiled, setting her scythe down. "Rah." She said, her large companion coming to her side. "We might have business to take care of." She said, stroking her head.

Captain Jerus made off with haste. They had brought the best sailors available at the time and three magi, to boost the ship with quick speed. The leading warship was a few hours away from the current, thanks to the great magic that had boosted their would-be months-worth trip.

Jerus sighed as he smoked on his pipe, making rings fly off in front of him. Suddenly, however, the ship rocked. Flaring red tentacles engulfed the back half of the ship, tearing it off.

"Monster!", a sailor yelled as he plunged into the waters, only to be swallowed up by what looked like a large mouth. Jerus had encountered one of these before.

"A beholder!", one of the Magi yelled, blasting a magic missile at the beast. A sudden slam on the front half of the ship knocked out most of the crew, crushing others. In front of the collapsed and nearly unconscious Captain Jerus was a pile of crushed meat and bone, and that was when his vision faded.

The front half of the ship floated off, and the back half was carried off by the beholder, who erupted out of the waters to take flight.

The sinking feeling got stronger in Varian. He knew his Royal Wizard wasn't just rambling like always again. Something was actually at wrong, something big.

It should be a quiet day. But it was not. Prior to the Holy Throne, was a nervous Magi speaking unto the person on the throne.

"Your Excellency, we must do something," said the Magi clumsy "This ..... weirdness ... is not normal."

Leopold looked at the Magi. "Is it somehow a danger? For humanity? For all races?" Asked the emperor, "You must bring me for whatever you say an evidence" He said this even though he knew that something was wrong. But he could not just 'borrow' some of his warships.

The Magi looked embarrassed at the intimidating emperor. "You have to send out one! It is important! My Kaiser, ...!" The Magi stopped when Leopold called him to silence.

"Enough, I've heard enough." Cried Leopold. "You get your ship. If your statement is only half as spineless appears and we find something there, then I will not declare you crazy and throw you into prison!" he said as mild as it went.

"I thank you, your highness." Said he, bowed and left the room.

"Do not thank me too soon." Muttered Leopold.

The feeling would grow in the people of the Holy Human Empire if Gibania would have the feeling even darker within them. It felt bad almost to the point of pain.

The black sky's afar began to swirl, red emerging from the center, a light half as radiant as the sun. It was clear now that something was admits.

Not only this, but figures swirled about in the faraway sky.

Luna stood from her spot, Rah following her. She picked up her scythe and looked at them. "Great Lei." She said, looking at the darkening sky. She walked out to her terrace, looking at the sky. "This may have been a bigger problem then I expected." She said, sitting on Rah's back. She patted his head and looked up, curious.

Xilonen, and his Archmagi, as well as several of the greatest Magi of his kingdom, stood atop the Zaranth, The Temple of Magi. They were looking up into the chaotic skies. "So, brother, you tell me that you have gathered this assembly to investigate the Shalamf (darkness) gathering on the Dian? (World)". The Archmagi nodded. "Brother, take 20 Daarun, (Small sea serphants), one for each of you. Investigate and stop this Darkness, if you can." The Archmagi turned to leave, before Xilonen stopped him, "Zaan Tu Ki Fankaa," (No direct translation, but. Cuenci Farewell plus good luck). And so, the Magi set off, riding from the Capitol to a port settlement, before setting off on their Daarun, heading towards the disturbance.

Even though the great dragon Rakdos was deep deep within the Fangar mountains and Kra was on the other side of the Empire withing the outer reaches of the Vishar Jungle, they were still able to communicate. Rakdos had just finished speaking into Kra's mind, he had assured Kra that all was fine and that the mysteries of the weather were just a sign that it was finally time. Kra stood up from his meditative position and stepped out of the small clearing and through the brush. On the other side stood his personal guard and advisers.

"It is time friends, Those of you who all ready have your orders go forth and carry them out."

Many that stood there turned and left to there tasks.

Kar Sakka was a female human and one of the empires most powerful shamans, she stepped forward. "Lord Kra."

"Speak sakka."

"Lord does our god give his blessing?"

Kra smirked before answering "Of course he does, doesn't he always give me his blessings?"

Sakka soon saw her mistake, "I apologize my lord, of course."

Kra waved it off as nothing. His master at Arms cleared his huge Loxodon throat, "Our reports confirm the the Kalastrians have refused to surrender, they gather their defenses. Requests for support have been sent but no one dare assist them against the Empire."

"Yes M'Laggo as I expected."

Kra began walking forward down the rough dirt path cutting threw the low hanging branches, his heavy armor combined with his dense body leaving heavy prints behind him as his war council followed. they eventually approached a cliff edge and looked out at the clearing beneath.

Before them lay the sight of thousands of warriors breaking down there tents and gearing up for the day ahead. they were just the tip of the spear but their task was an important one. Kalastria was just the beginning, they were simply in the way as their kingdom was tasked with guarding the Primal Gate, an ancient fortification that cut off the empire from most of the other larger civilizations. It had been too long since they had felt The Empire's power and soon the world would tremble beneath its might thought Kra.

The riders of the Daarun saw a ship in the distance, or half of one at least. Large beasts with many tentacles flew in the sky, only known as beholders. Their eyes lingered toward the riders, becoming ready to strike at them with their extremely hot beams of magic they would usually blast from their eyes.

Captain Jerus began to awake and crawled his way to a Mage, analyzing him. The body was cold, limp, and Jerus could smell waste. The Mage was dead. He sighed and looked around him.

The sky was a dark red, and the currents were leading towards a large red portal that had opened below the sea, creating a gigantic waterfall. Red lightning struck the portal and seemingly powered it. Many beholders flooded out, and were already beginning to wander off from the portal.

The Archmagi pointed his Bone Staff at one of the beholder s, and shouted something. A bright blue ray of light blasted forth from it, blasting a beholder, which exploded, taking another down with it in the blue blaze. The other Magi raised protective magical shields infront of their formation, as the Archmagi blasted another Beholder out of the sky. Suddenly, Jerus was pulled out of the water, and onto a Daarun's back.

Jerus didn't struggle, he had nothing to lose at this point. The man looked up at the sky as vast clouds of beholders rose, but more was following. Humanoid figures in dark hoods rose, carrying blades and staves with them.

These figures then disappeared in a cloud of darkness, only one remaining. That one began to blast ether magic, a highly powerful magic said to have been used in the creation of this world, at the shield.

The Magi knew this was the first magic, and the most powerful. They wouldn't stand a chance if he began blasting at full strength. Followed by the beam of ether were beams of arcane, many of them. Beholders had begun blasting out at riders.

Sepherene was rather annoyed with her animal senses that were yelling at her to do something, and something she did. She called to one of the castle servants and yelled at him to summon her avians to her chambers and to bring there weapons sharpened.

As 100 bird men poured into her extremely large room she had customly made with pure white sheets. The room had no color to it simple as that. Then debriefing her elite group of fighters to bring her and them to the disturbance in the western ocean.

It took the seven whole minutes to arrive but when they did it look as if it was a storm of white feathers were falling onto every thing. With there queen in the arms of four avian a she screamed with pure happiness as she poured down onto a beholder...with her sword in hand. She angled herself so that her sword would pierce the creature. When she struck it ripped right through its head. She giggled to herself as she floated on the dead beholder and gazed as her bird men swarmed the others. She also noticed the other nations troops and waved as she jumped at another beholder about to cleave through its head.

The Magi fled in fright, all except the ArchMagi, who dropped his staff, fulling out a staff that was made of something that looked like ivory, and something that looked like crystal. The Cuenci are one of the eldest races, and the few to have witnessed the mighty of the Old Gods, and the only ones to receive their gifts. He pointed the staff at the remaining dark figure, before shouting something unknown. The Archmagi's very essence was sucked into the staff, which remained fixed on the Dark Figure, glowing brighter and brighter, before shattering, a glowing blue ball brighter than any fire in it's place.

Jerus was on the back of a Magi's Daarun. As the Daruun's were speeding out of the chaos, the magi who pulled Jerus out turned to him, speaking clear English, but with a strange growling to it, "Human, are you awake?" The Magi, asked, leaning down towards the human.

Jerus nodded, "I am. Thanks... for now, I guess.", he concluded, sighing as he looked back at the Rift. Beholders just kept pouring out and the Avians were met with worthy opponents.

The Dark Figure smiled as the Archmagi did this and prepared himself. He stopped casting his large beam of magic, and went on the defensive now. With psionic abilities he clumped up five beholders and prepared for the blast.

He knew he would most probably not escape this, as he was already weakened due to the fact they had just opened this rift. With a sigh he awaited the inevitable

King Varian was waiting on his throne, and sighed. He had enough. The warships had been gone too long, the feeling was darker, something was clearly wrong. "Let's g-"

But right after the King got off of the throne, a guard began walking out in front of him, only to collapse, blood splattering across the throne room. Emerging from a few of the doors came groups of guards battling it out with their blades, a few guards seemingly having bright green eyes, who were also laughing insanely.

This strange curse began happening, but slowly, across the world. Magi could dispell it, but it spread if a Cursed One bit into another. By this time only about three hundred people from each kingdom would be cursed.

Varian charged up and kicked one Cursed One in the left knee, taking him down. He then sent a quick stab into his jugular, shaking his head as he watched his own guard bleed to death. He turned around and decapitated another, and parried off two other Cursed Ones.

At last the king of Kalastria bent the knee, his army overwhelmed he had no choice to surrender to save the last of his citizens. Kra was full of pride as stood atop one of the now battered Kalastrian towers overlooking the carnage the Rakdos Empire had brought to the city. The last of the enemy's soldiers were locked away in the dungeons and the empires soldiers now roamed threw the city sacking and looting as they went. Suddenly there was commotion in the streets, or at least even more commotion. At first Kra had thought they where the last remnants of the enemy, late to the party or local citizens rebelling but as he looked closer it his own soldiers fighting amongst themselves. This in of its own was not all that abnormal, The empires armies where made up of the roughest, wildest and most savage warriors that spanned the great nation. but it was the ominous glowing eyes and the eerie cackling they made as they bit into their victims that moved Kra to action.

Not one to waste time he simply lept of off the tower, his dense stone body and heavy armor protecting him from the fall...along with the body of his first victim. He lept up and drew his rather large blade as he coated it with flames that burst forth from his hands thanks to his natural powers. His blade cut threw the air as it descended on its pray relieving the Cursed One's head from its body. Kra charged forward slamming into a group of the cursed sending them hurling backwards before he turned to assist his warriors who were being overwhelmed by the enemy. They were fast, strong, but lacked strategy and made easy prey for Kra to maneuver his men and funnel the Cursed into pockets for him and the other Volthane in the area to burn to death. Still the Cursed kept coming, marching over the bodies of the fallin as the surged forward. Kra braced him self and rallied his men.

He had a whole army present and even after the fight with the Kalastrians they numbered in the thousands, the infection or whatever it was reached no where near those numbers. It was only a matter of time before Kra's forces purged this plague from the city, but what worried him was the idea that it could have spread to other parts of the Empire.

Leopold sat on his throne. The ship which he had sent had not yet come back. He stood up to give the order to send a few ships after. Suddenly soldiers stormed into the hall with green glowing eyes. One rushed up to him, but Leopold hit him so hard in the stomach that he flew halfway across the hall.

"Imperial Guard!" Cried Leopold. The Imperial Guard was a group of elite guard of the emperor. They stormed in and formed a Phalanax. The now onrushing people were now impaled .... all.

The Kaiser had to first understand what happened. But his thoughts were interrupted by one of the commanders.

"Are you alright your Majesty?" Said he clearly worried "Did these unworthy somehow hurt you?"

"What? No, no. I am unhurt." Said Leopold. "Give the command to the city guard to arrest or kill all green-eyed people."

"Oh, and sent a fleetto Vizapur. They should take Magis, for a firestorm against .... whatever is there."

"My Kaiser." The man saluted and went on his way with a small part of the soldiers.

"What by the Gods, is happening?" Asked Leopold himself.

The blue ball of fire soared through the air,, as quick as a bullet, blasting through all five beholders like they were nothing, the fire being hellbent on killing the Dark Figure. The Fireball slammed into the Dark Figure's chest, ripping at the fabric of his very soul, burning it with a pain unmatched by any, slowly devouring the Dark Figure, soul and all.

The Magi turned, casting their own beams of magic at the beholders, taking several down. "Good. Now, you better stay that way," the Cuenci Magi suggested, firing his own beam, blasting through a beholders eye as it exploded. A magic beam slammed into the water beside the Daarun, which squeeled in panic, swimming faster, as the Magi still retreated.

(Cuenci build like Aztecs) Xilonen stood on top of his Grand Karinch (Pyramid) as a dozen Cursed Ones charged up it, ready to kill Xilonen and his Royal Guard. The first Cursed One to reach the top was decapitated by Xilonen's Tooth Sword. The other Cursed continued charging up. He noticed one bite a member of his Royal Guard, who turned on them, his eyes green as well. He turned, swinging his Tooth Sword, ripping out the Former Guard's guts. The Cursed One collapsed, as Xilonen brought his knee up into his face, as Xilonen turned, fighting alongside his remaining guard, beating back the Cursed. Although, they didn't fall back. They were beaten until they died, and accepted no mercy. Once the corpses were rolled down his temple, he thought to himself worriedly. Is this some sort of plague? He asked, before realizing that it was. He ordered all garrison forces inside the city Texcoco, his capitol city, to patrol the streets, with a unit of Gaaanthra (Komodo dragons with web frill things on the side of their heads and they are bigger than a Nile Crocodile, and can move extremely fast.) Riders to patrol the city and kill all infected. Within a couple hours, all Cursed Ones had been removed from the city.

The Royal Guard and Varius took care of the rest of the Cursed Ones in his throne room, a quick and bloody fight.

In the poor towns and city states of the world the Cursed Ones thrived. It took mere minutes for them to decimate the less-defended and armed nations and they would begin assaulting the outside walls of cities and began skirmishing towns.

Varius had ordered for his best scientists to research the Cursed Ones, the ones they had captured at least. The infection hit hard in Engeland, but the people of Velaria fought back with as much valor and deadliness as they were rumored to have, if not more. However the outside independant towns and cities were under heavy siege, and Varius sent his men to help them, in hopes of forming an alliance.

Cursed Ones were found in the alleyways, only to be killed by armed militia or guard patrols. Alchemists and Scientists were working to identify the strange disease, and the Magi helped as well, due to it's connection with Ether energies.

"Damnit, I can't let these bastards take my kingdom, finding out what is going on will have to wait.", Varius mumbled to himself as he saw the guards executing one of the madmen. He returned to his castle and strapped on his mithril plate armor, arming himself with his two blades, Callidus and Mortifer, meaning Clever and Deadly in ancient common.

He gathered his best men and left the cities and began to purge the surrounding lands of Cursed Ones, only hitting the closest town as he had just begun. Meanwhile scout ships were getting close to the action, but they were just watching from a distance for now, launching the occasional arrow at a beholder or two.

Jerus kept quiet and watched as the Avians swarmed in, impressed. He sighed and wondered if he was a captive or a saved dead man, that would have to wait though. He was too busy trying not to fall off of the beast he was on.

The front half of the ship, with the dead bodies on it, swirled down the water falls and a large crash was heard from below, like hitting water, however it sounded very distant.

Barnabas had just gotten out of bed when an old and robed man burst into the room, out of breath and seemingly out of mind. He was the only one who could perform magic in the entire country, as they couldn't find purposes for magicks other than war. On the bright side however, being the only wizard had made him solely dedicated to his job, and given him a sense of pride that only he held the title of "Magi". He told him about the sense of evil he was getting from the ocean near the bottom of the world. Barnabas sat up after hearing him out. This seemed very bad, sure, but was it worth sending a ship out? They only had a few warships, and that made them precious. If this place truly had evil magic like the Royal Wizard had told him, no doubt they would lose everything they sent there. Trading was their ships' specialty, not anything else. He would leave this matter for other, more bloodthirsty and barbaric nations.

As he sat later in a room overlooking most of the kingdom, he contemplated the wisdom of his decision to not do anything. Perhaps his neighbors would get angry at his lack of action, and that would be extremely unfavorable to them. But he stood by his original decision because of his previous reasoning. And for the second time today, the old wizard, whose name he now remembered after a hot breakfast: Athanasios came to him.

"Lord Swithin, an Orc is rampaging in the marketplace. The Captain of the Guard is trying to suppress him now, and sent me to inform you."

Barnabas looked out the big glass window for a few seconds, deep in thought, before nodding and standing up.

"Let me speak to this Orc. He most likely wants something. What interests me, however, is the timing of these two events. An evil presence, and then one of our own kind uncharacteristically goes mad?" he asked himself. Athanasios merely shrugged.

They could hear screams and shouts from a while away before they reached the marketplace. When they got into view, they could see a massive Orc, bigger than usual, throwing a jewelry cart into a house. A distinct green, almost glowing look was in his eye, which Barnabas noted. He saw them, and headed straight for them, various items, from the stalls he was destroying, trailing from his person. They dove into a nearby building, scrambling to get away from a painful death. The Captain of the Guard, Augustus Kallikrates, spotted the two, and ran in with them. He scooped up the frail wizard and shouted to Barnabas: "Come! We must flee the city, for there are hundreds more like him." He looked in the direction the sound of the Orc was coming from. "Run, my lord, to your ship! I will be behind you!" And off they ran to the Royal Ship, the R.S. Merchant, a grand boat that was built by the finest craftsmen. They sailed off west, unknowingly headed towards their neighbor, Malsnaria.
