*I spot a small dirt mound on the side of the road* "wait" he says before walking over to it.

"All right let's go," he says to Raina as he heads towards May's office once again.

Raina stands up and silently follows Raider to May's home, knocking gently on the door when she arrives. When a voice on the other side of the door asks who it is, Raina answers. "Lady Raina, and Raider. We must speak with Lady May. It is urgent." there is silence at the door for a while as the guard goes to wake May up. A commotion can be heard from the balcony door, a moment of silence, then May herself was standing at the door.


"Come to my office," she says simply, and somewhat groggily. May wasn't wearing her usual dress, but instead had something that looked like a royal's robe securely fastened over her night clothes. Despite everything that had been going on, May wasn't expecting a report until tomorrow morning at the earliest. May leads the two of them to her office, and sits on her chair. Raina would take a seat, and let Raider begin, since he as the one who seemed to know the most.

May looks to Raina, raising an eyebrow. "Evan is one of the Woodland Fae?"


Raina nods. "Uma, though I only just met him today. Weather this was a mistake or not, given that he has only faulted once under my rule, his punishment will not be too severe. The only question now is, are we going to try to cover this up, or ask for forgiveness in an attempt to still settle this peacefully?"


May sighs, closing her eyes. "Unfortunately, I believe settling matters peacefully was a long-shot to begin with. This incident may just speed the process along. We were always going to be at a disadvantage. Raider, do you have any idea how we might fight these ships with limited resources?"

"they don't know, they don't know what they can do." Memories start to come back to him about his parents being slaughtered and his home being raided by pirates. a single tear drips down his face. he never told anyone about it. when he was little his home was being threatened by pirates until one day they decided to stand up against them but they raided the village and killed everyone accept him. he escaped and was found by a ranger. he was taken in as an apprentice. the last thing he remembers about that was his father yelling "RUN EVAN RUN" then getting stabbed in front of him.

Raider would look at may and begins to think. Through his life he had been in a few battles and one war, so maybe what he experienced would help. "Well... considering what we're up against... the whole ship sabotage is actually pretty good, but now that one of their ships exploded it'll be hard for anyone to sneak in. What we need to do is gather the Isle's strongest fighters, and begin the fight. They have resources, but if we take away their ships then the tides will have turned. If we are to send the stealthiest among us to infiltrate the ships and make fire with the gunpowder, it should be able to give us an advantage. There is also the possibility that Edward possesses magical artifacts, and may use that against us, which in this case we need magic users to help us with that. In short what we need to do is use our resources wisely and hit them where they are weakest. Even the largest of machinery will fall once the support falls loose." He would notice the skeleton leave, but it didn't really matter right now.

Once you know how many you have, come back to me, and we will devise a plan. Raina, if you could please keep an eye on the pirate's movements. Should they initiate an attack, please send word."


Raina stands, and bows her head towards May. "For the protection of both our peoples, I will follow your lead on this one. If I see movement, I shall send a message." With that, Raina left and would position herself well hidden within the trees watching the harbor.

"Welcome I see you've come to join great. I'll fill everyone in once we have a sizable crowd," he says looking around to see that a few of the villagers have volunteered.

Meters above the East horizon, you could see dozens of ships attached to large balloons flying black flags approaching the islands. "Operation Flying Dutchman is now in effect. All citizens and inhabitants are prohibited to leave their homes. This is not a drill." A feminine, monotone voice spoke through a primitive speaker. "Hm. This will convince them to stop a rebellion." Edward said, chortling from the comfort of his office on the airborne "Face of God."

Meters above the East horizon, you could see dozens of ships attached to large balloons flying black flags approaching the islands. "Operation Flying Dutchman is now in effect. Raina looks up from her perch in the tree as the flying ships pass. "If only I had a dragon," she grumbles to herself, but she'd have to settle for the next best thing. Raina pulls out her panpipes, and begins to play. At her command, hundreds of birds of all sizes flooded the area, attacking the balloons that held the ships up. Plenty of the birds she commanded would be large enough, and strong enough to rip through the balloons, and a few ships would begin to descend as the larger birds pulled the ships off course so that when they did crash, they crashed in an area where they would take the least amount of lives.

May looks at the scene from her balcony and sighs. "Well, I suppose it's begun."

"The hell?" Raider would say as he looked up. "This isn't good... I guess Edward has started laying down the law," he says to himself.

"Topsails! Moonsails! Royals! Mainsails! All OPEN!" Edward commanded to the airborne armada of ships. "Load the brass cannons, swivel guns and mortars! Keep the ballistas cocked and ready! Steady now, keep our ships as light as birds! Don't fire until they make hostile actions!

"Oh damn...," Raider says as he looks to the skies. He would sigh for a bit and would cast an enchantment spell on himself to give him speed and defense. "I suppose I better try for this then," and he would take out Septentrion and jump to one of the ships at such speeds. The power of his body would allow him to propel himself to one of the ships and would lay waste with his sword. With a few powerful air slashes, he would then proceed to take down a few ships.

"ACTIVATE THE MAGIC-RESISTANT STEEL HULLS!" Commanded one of the privateer generals as he saw a few gunboats fall. "BRING THE HOSTAGE SHIP!" He yelled. A smallish brigantine suddenly dashed forward in front of the fleet for all of the inhabitants of the Mist to see. The windows of the ship opened with no warning. Instead of the usual cannons, what was revealed were many colonial and nonhuman prisoners of war, many of them being citizens of the Isle. "While your reigns have ended, mine has begun..." Edward announced over the speaker in delight. "Fire all weapons except for the prototype!" The coast of Mist was bombarded with many explosions and giant wooden arrows, with the normal citizens putting little to no resistance to the weapons of mass destruction.
