Ariana let a soft sigh escape her lips as she observed the people around her; some were dancing, others drinking and talking. . .all the while she was alone. She sat at a small table, her elbow propped up and her head resting in her hand. She glanced up, locking eyes momentarily with her bodyguard; his eyes shifted to another part of the room, leaving Ariana a bit flustered. A tinge of pink dusted itself across her cheeks as she averted her gaze elsewhere, her eyes falling upon the male she had initially attended the event with.


What she witnessed caused her heart to drop. Her date was whispering into the ear of another girl, a smirk gracing his lips as she giggled. She didn't have to hear what he said to know. Without hesitation, the brunette stood up and made her way through the crowd, not wanting to see anymore of his unfaithfulness. Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes. threatening to spill out. The dress she wore felt constricting against her body as her breathing became choppy. She bit her lip to keep from crying as she exited the building, unaware that her bodyguard had begun following her as soon as she left the table.


Suddenly, Ariana felt a firm grip on her shoulder, causing her to spin around, coming face to face with none other than the undeniably attractive bodyguard. She glanced down at the ground, avoiding eye contact so he wouldn't see her in the distressed state she was in.


"What?" She said, her voice a broken whisper.
