The Forge
Fia didn't need to finish the sentence for Chas to know that she was referring to Rinaa's timeline. The little Rinaa had said had been enough for them all to get a pretty decent picture of just how twisted the two had become. But it was also in her actions, the way she rarely seemed to be fully comfortable around both of them. She could pretty much do one, but coping with the two at once was proving challenging, and in the things she wouldn't say or do and just went quiet on. "Yeah, I get you on that. You're not alone on that either, as soon as we began to grasp just how badly things could go wrong, we all immediately started pinning our hopes on the fact that time is malleable and even just being here may be enough to knock the whole timeline on a better path. And since we don't know when the divergence is, every action could be moving us in a better direction."

Jay and John both knew that Kay wasn't really talking to them when she let out her exclamation of finishing the painting. Cliff didn't hear or see Kay as she was back in the pheonix book. But the two were highly impressed with the final product, the gold marker really did add an extra something to a piece that was already so beautiful and breathtaking. Neither said anything, John sensing that Kay needed a moment alone with her painting. It took a while for the answer to come back due to the lag time between the two planets, calls were even worse, but it was better than nothing and it allowed Cliff to keep in touch with her family. When the laptop pinged, she drew it closer and glanced at the message. "It was the middle brother after all, I was ninety percent certain it was." "Only ninety percent?" "Yeah, they're all idiots, so I made a guess based on eye and nostril shape."
