I Put A Spell On You

Ronnak nodded and he laid her down on a stone slab. There were small runes and spirals that emitanted from a central point, which was right in the middle of her chest.

He took a breath and slowly began to chant ancient words. The area around them bgean to glow, letting ethereal trendils creep up and slowly curl around her arms. They stopped at the middle of her chest, latching together and holding her down.

Suddenly, the lights in the room glowed even brighter. She felt a sharp pain as inky mirth began to flow from the trendils and into the air. As the bond was removed, her body began to grow cold, signaling her death.

At that moment, Ronnak laid his hand upon her breast and suddenly the connection was made. Instead of the darkness, she felt a soothing light within her. Her skin became slightly clearer, and her eyes turned green. Her clothes turned into a robe of golden light, loose fitting and much more pratical.

Finally, Ronnak took the ink that was in the air and dispelled it. He slowly stepped back and he gave a small shudder, "The deed... the deed is done."

Now, on both of their left breasts ,they lay a small mark. IT was of a small line that divided a sun in half. It was the symbol of their full bond.

The first thing she noticed was that she felt a connection to him, almost as though the two of them were mentally linked. If she concentrated, she could hear his thoughts.

Ronnak lifted her up and gave a tired, weary smile, "There... deed is done..." Then he collapsed.

"Wow...That was intense." Minerva said overwhelmed by the experience but at the same time felt a sense of warmth and peace she never experienced before. When Ronnak helped her sit up he looking at her new robe and mark on her breast amazed before seeing Ronnak collapse. She tried to catch him before fell on the ground and hurt himself, he was exhausted and she couldnt blame him. She knelled on the ground with his head on her lap, feeling too weak to get him somewhere more comfortable, and stoked his hair.

Ronnak had brilliant green eyes. Yet unlike Hillin's, they were more inviting, and not evil. He groaned and finally opened his eyes, shivering slightly, "There... now we're... bonded..." He coughed and tried to lift his head up, only to flop down.

It was then she noticed something: Ronnak was young. About her own age even! Hillin was younger still, yet the dark magic had made him look much older.

"Are we? I thought you were just trying to touch my breast, you naughty sun spirit." Minerva accused jokingly. Feeling him shiver she tried to help by using magic to let of warm from his hand as she touched him, trying to be as comforting as possible. Her control of magic has been reset but she still remembered how to perform techniques, she just needed some practice to get her potential back. "I get it now, this is how you get your women. Promise a bond and then have your way." She chuckled.

In truth she didnt mind too much if that was really the case, she had her own curiosity about Ronnak, a once famed and powerful hero and attractive to bout what girl wouldnt be. However, she expected nothing to happen between them but its been a while since she was able to see someone like that before she went to Hillin, it was freeing like she was herself again.

Ronnak blushed heavily and he looked up, blinking and turning his head away, "I was not! I-I was raised to treat women with the upmost respect! I-I'd only lay hand upon you if I absolutely had to!" His mind was trying to push out the more dirty thoughts that aroused from that. Even though he was the spirit of the sun, he was just as vulnerable to human emotions as any other human.

"S-So anyways," He blushed heavily once more, "My bedchamber is down the hall and first door on the right. I have a spare bed in the room next to it, if you don't mind..." He gulped, "I-I mean that in the way that the bed isn't that great!"

"Only if you had too, huh? I see..."Minerva asked trying to act disappointed while trying to stop himself from laughing at his reaction. She did not expect such a strong reaction to her teasing and the telling thought in his mind gave her a little blush as well. She got to her feet and helped him to do the same."What ever you can provide, i am not picky. let me help you to your room."

Ronnak got to his feet and he slowly walked himself to his room. The walls were scultped out of rock, so they weren't picture perfect. He found his room and he found his bed. It was mostly a raised pad, a blanket and a pillow. He collapsed on it and panted, "Thank you, Minerva. We'll... we'll deal with Hillin in the morning...."

"Ok, just rest up and i will do the same."She said with a smile as she helped him lie down and gave him a peck on the cheek."No, thank you Ronnak for your trust in me with the bond." She helped him become more comfortable before making her way slowly out of his room.

Ronnak blushed harder tahn ever before, hiding his face in his covers. He slowly began to fall asleep, giving one final yawn and becoming completely entranced in his dream. He dreamed of her... sitting down and holding him. Not seductively, just holding him. Telling him everything would be okay. Forever and ever. He'd say he didn't need anything from her but those words... and she could see his dream if she wanted.

Minerva found her new room and laid down on her makeshift bed, sleeping the moment her had touching the pillow. She didnt need to see in to Ronnak to see what he was dreaming, she was dreaming the same as well. When she woke the next day, the dream remained in her mind unsure of what to make of the fact she thought as a son or him thinking her as a mother figure type. She shook her head and got up, adjusting her rope and looking out the temple for some grub.

Ronnak slowly woke up, mainly well rested now. He lifted a small staff up out of the wall and held it. The staff was the staff of light, the staff of which that he carried within him. He walked over to her and he tapped her shoulder, "Hello, Minerva." He blushed slightly, then he quickly got them down some bread and water.

"Oh...Hey."She greeted a little awkward thanks to the dream. She quitely sat opposite Ronnak at the table and took a bit of the water and bread and started eating."Wow, it is been a while since i got in the morning, hillin kept me as a night owl. "

He chuckled, "I'm holding Hillin at the moment. He's sound asleep. It was odd." He smiled to her, "Listen, we can't really stay at the temple forever. We'll have to go to a new home at some point. I'm running low on supplies and I don't steal."

"Spirit of the moon, i guess." She said shrugging at the Hillin comment. Then thought for a moment, of potential places the two of them can hide in "We can... We can go back to my village. My family lumbermill and home is there on it outscirts.... No one is using it."

He looked down, "Wait... you realize that Hillin's army was... his army was... they decimated the entire kingdom." He sighed, blinking rapidly and slightly tearing up.

She looked down sadly. "No... I didnt...." She muttered. It was strange, she had always thought if she ever discovered the people responsible to her village and family death she would be out for blood. However, all she felt was grief and guilt for allowing herself to work for that man."And here i am his apprientish, how stupid could i be."

"Well... while you were training he probably went out and slaughtered them." He sighed and held his head, "I should've stopped him. I tried, but that... the man with the robotic arm kept pushing me back.:

She just sighed looking down, a few tears began falling from her eyes."I..Just... I just need a minute..."She got up and walked back to here room and cried abit.

Ronnak looked down and cried a little more, shivering hard as he began to cry, looking down. He coudln't done something. He know he could have.

It was about an hour later when Minerva was cried out and walked out of the room to look for Ronnak. When she found him she hugged him. "Thanks for telling me, i am sure you would have done what you could." She said softly before lessening his hold. She sighed." I still think we need to go to my village, i know the forest nearby there is places to hide and food when you know when to look and.... And i need... I need to pay my respects."

"It's dangerous to go..." He stood up, streching his limbs out. He was still consented to her idea and he sighed, deciding to go ahead and do it. "We need to leave now."

"Thank you... I am sure two light mages are going to make it."She said trying to form a smile and look confident before nodding."Right behind you what are we... What are we going to do about Hillin? we are just going to leave him here?"

"I have to do something with him... I mnay need your help with." He sighed, "We're going to extract his magic, then..." He made a small stabbing motion with his staff sadly.

"I see... He deserves it sure."She said wanting to to hate him and be happy that such a fate awaits Hillin but all she felt was uncertainty and pity. Maybe it was Ronnak and his spirit influence or maybe something else."If drain his magic do we need to kill him? He is only going to get reincarnated."

Ronnak looked down, "The spirit will, yet Hilin was evil on his own accord. The spirit has no control over the body." He walked into the cage, "Remember what I did with you?"
