It would be more of a impact for when Seifer attacks and Renee would just have milky blind eyes from the blessing after being dead...at the same time, I don't know. I just feel like that's a difficult blessing to find and have, you know? So I thought it would be easier for him to just strike her across her eyes or something.

Well... I've had this icon since I made my account... but I have this horrible urge to make my icon be this:

Okay! Since Seifer, the archer rich kid, is now a deathknight because he made a deal to save Renee's life. If the dragon hurts his mother or her while doing his thing, then he dies and returns Seifer's soul back. Which is why I'm like somewhat hoping for Renee to be blind somehow. So the options of her possibly getting blessed to stay alive while getting a very bad blow and exchange her vision for her life or get slashed across her face by Seifer so he can get his soul back and take care of her as she learns how to adjust.
