Fantasy Howl's Flying Castle (Finished! ---Whoo! (*^▽^)/)

Lydia nodded knowingly, "I thought you might say that..." she listened to him carefully and smiled slightly, the smile growing, "but... if that's the only reason..." she looked around at the others that were present in the soul room, pausing a moment on Seifer and giving him an amused look before she took James' hand, "maybe... I don't know... it would be a lot of work..."

Her brow furrowed in thought as she looked away from James a moment, her gaze falling on the ground than wandering over the unfinished mural, "but... maybe we could start our own order? Something that stood for more than the Wizengamot? Something that could prevent such chaos created if something like Valdanr ever rose again but still encompassed all of the good things about the Wizengamot and the Order of Merlin?"

Renee looked up to Seifer's haughty face that looks exactly like the cat's...Empress' expression and she tried to hold back her laughter but she couldn't. So she covered her mouth with her wing and said, "Y-yea, she really does have your face...So should I call you my Snugglebunny-cat or Snuggly catbunny?" She couldn't help herself with the nicknames.

Echo's eye widened when she heard Lydia's cat's name and commented. "Oh...that fits all too well." She looked at Seifer as well and grinned a bit mischievously.

When she heard Valdanr's name, Renee frowned again, worried about something.

"What is it?" said James curiously, rubbing a thumb across Lydia's fingers. As she talked, his expression grew more and more interested. Just listening to her idea filled him slowly with a sense of satisfying purpose, and the mural on the floor began to change, of everyone fighting shades and remnants of the dark army, to helping people all over who were affected by the war, such as replanting trees in Ashenvale.

"I'd like that, Lydia. We can help everyone better too after the war." he said, now squeezing her hand in excitement. For a long time James had thought himself an ordinary person, even after all they've accomplished, the grandeur had never touched him so much that he thought himself beyond an apprentice summoner who still had a lot to learn, and who would lead an ordinary life after the war. But now that Lydia mentioned it, it was within his power to have a greater purpose in the world, and the idea of being its protector made his chest swell.

"Let's do it." he nodded, then turned to Renee, Echo, and Seifer. "Did you three hear that? What do you think about making our own order after the war? Something that prevents chaos like Valdanr from happening again, but still encompassed the good things about the Wizengamot and the Order of Merlin?"

Seifer, who was doting on Renee by rubbing noses with her saying, "Snuggly catbunny, baby." looked up at James. "What are you talking about?" he obviously didn't hear anything.

Renee's frown changed into a shy smile when Seifer dotted on her by rubbing noses with her. Her face turned red as her wings flapped when James started talking and she giggled quietly. "James and Lydia are planning to make a new order after the war, my Snuggly catbunny." She gestured her head towards the mural again, now that it's changed into something else.

Echo gawked when the mural changed again, leaning over it as to study the image. Then she looked at everyone with an excited smile, her ears perked up. "I'm in! I would love to replant Ashenvale! Oh! and the other trees and plants from the wild too!" Seems like Echo is really geared to fixing the damage on the realm itself after the war.

"Hm..." Renee thought for a moment, her wings fluttered as her orange eyes looked up at Seifer for a moment..."But where will we put the New order? If we're doing this to help everyone, then the building shouldn't be in one country...We should accept everyone who wants to help too..."

"Oh! Why not just get smaller buildings from each country and make that as the base of the New Order?"

"...Hmmm....or we can put the Main HQ somewhere that has no territory ownership from any of the countries and connect the smaller buildings with portals?...Once I finally can make portals, I mean." Renee knew she was close to be able to make a portal, the problem is the power source. She just isn't strong enough to fully make a portal connect to a far away place yet. She looked frustrated as she stared at her hands and curled them up into fists, sighing.

Then she stared at everyone in the room with a hopeful grin. "What do you guys think?"

"That sounds like a good idea, Echo, sis." said James. "Luthien or Ethellion could help with the portals."

"But what about your dream to become a mediwitch, Renee?" said Seifer, surprised.

Lydia's gaze shifted to the mural as she noticed the movement, smiling slightly as she saw it changing, her eyes scanning over it before she looked to James with an excited look on her face. She nodded and squeezed his hand back as he said that he liked the idea and looked to the others again as James restated what she had suggested, wrinkling her nose slightly at Seifer who wasn't even paying attention.

Her gaze shifted to Echo as she spoke about the trees and she nodded enthusiastically, "yes! I actually... was hoping that you would be able to help with lumber for rebuilding after everything that Valdanr has destroyed," her mouth quirked into a smile, "you too Renee!" Though she didn't explicitly state what she and James had talked about with the hair growth tonic, narrowing her eyes slightly and giving James an amused and knowing look, figuring he'd get it.

Her gaze shifted back to Renee as she talked about the possibility of the portals and she thought for a moment, "that would definitely make it easier to create unity... if we had a headquarters everywhere we have been and linked them all? It would also make it easier to get materials from place to place as they are needed for rebuilding," she grinned, "and the Order of Merlin is so... exclusive with only the one locations... ours would be so much more welcoming with more locations and ways to help people," which she decided not to add any mention of how they hadn't wanted to help the Elves when they were seeking refuge.

She nodded her agreement with what James then added and tacked on to that, "and it's likely that... our feelings towards the Wizengamot and the Order of Merlin aren't confined to only us, I am willing to venture a guess that there are some among the order that aren't appreciative of the decisions that have been made and if given an alternative that suits them better, I bet they would join us," she smiled brightly, "and that would mean extra help in making portals too."

James squeezed Lydia's hand in understanding, the corners of his mouth twitching. He nodded at all this planning, they were all so excited. It felt good to have something great to look forward to after the war. He watched as his mural kept on blooming and changing, as though an invisible painter was at work.

There was a tower there now, surrounded by a round courtyard of stone, and for some reason it looked partly like the abandoned tower at the Farthing Plains. Portal archways stood at the north, south, east and west corners of the courtyard, all leading to the tower through avenues bordered by trees, flora from the Storm Wall, and koi ponds like in Kenren's warship. Silhouettes of people were stepping in and out of the portal like it was an everyday thing, all of them from different walks of life.

James could see himself turning the dial of a door from his office, before opening it to behold a cozier country-looking home. His and Lydia's home, where Historia is their neighbor and somehow the flying castle was there too.

Renee looked at Seifer with a warm smile, lightly squeezing his arm again. "I'm still going to be a medi-witch. It's just until every country is on their feet again is when I'll start looking for a medical job or finish my studies somehow." She really doubts with the way Kingsbury is razed over that the school would be open right after the war is finished.

"Would you like help us, Seifer? It's okay if you don't want to." Renee said quietly so he wouldn't have any pressure, not that they would pressure him. She didn't want him to feel nervous. "Just think about it for now, okay?"

The she looked over at the James and Lydia with a hesitant smile. "That would be nice, but I really doubt Luthien or Ethellion would help make the portals after the war is over. I mean, we all saw how Ethellion looks like right now and he's under a lot of stress." Her brows furrowed in her worry for the trees.

"Even with Luthien's help, Ethellion would still be overworked and I can't ask him that. I can't ask either of them for help since they would be busy fixing the manna floooow...."

Everyone can see a light bulb lighting up with an idea and with the way Renee grinned, it's questionable at best.

"Ren, what are you thinking?" Echo narrowed her eyes suspiciously with her ears folding back. The Pendragon sister leaned her head on Seifer's arm. "Oh nothing, just wondering if it's possible to help the manna trees with the flow...and somehow seal the rifts from opening ever again...with a certain someone who can help..."

"Alright, baby." said Seifer when Renee mentioned putting the countries first. "I guess you'll be doing a lot of travel." He pondered when she asked about him helping.

"No, I'm going to make a home for us and Sirius and rebuild my life, Renee. I've had enough of the fighting and the danger, I'm only here because you're here and I want to be with you to help. I'm going to take up dancing after all this. Though I still want to live with you. I don't know how we're going to do it, Renee, but one thing for sure, I don't want to have a boring desk job in the future."

James looked at Renee curiously, "Who's this someone?"

Katsuya Katsuya Roleplay Skittle Roleplay Skittle

Renee blinked, listening to Seifer as she raised an eyebrow at him before warmly smiling at him. "No, silly. What I meant by that is I really doubt there will be any sort of medical jobs right after the war. So wherever James and Lydia set up the New Order is where I'm going to be busy setting up the portals and healing people. We're probably gonna need a huge greenhouse there for whoever that needs it; to make medicine."

She rubbed his arm encouragingly as she listened to his decision, nodding once as her wings fluttered. "Let me know when you finish set up our new home. I'll place a portal on the door there too so we can have access to here from the other side of the wall." The red string between them glowed brightly and Seifer can feel her love coursing through. "I had enough with fighting too..."

Then she looked over at James with a wide and mischievous grin that rivals or ...perhaps would make the twins proud. "Ohh...the one and only Nameless one."

Echo gawked at Renee with her ears fully perked up with alarm. "Are you insane?!"

"Yes."

"..." Why is she best friends with an insane person again? Oh yea, Renee is the first one who accepted her despite her antlers. The fawn smack her forehead with the palm of her hand. Her ears folding back.

"At least hear me out first!" Renee pouted as her wings puffed up a bit . It's better then her just doing it without telling anyone.

Lydia just watched the mural as it was being changed, her head leaning against James' shoulder as she examined the changes as they happened, cataloging the images produced so that she could consult them later when it came to actually building these headquarters. Architecture required a lot of mathematics to get dimensions and such right and she thought about how those dimensions would have an affect on how magic flowed through the structure and on how she would need to calculate in order to create a maximum efficiency in each building based on terrain and altitude and such, not to mention that using these mathematics would probably make it easier to just draw manna from the land in order to power the portals that they were looking to create.

Her attention was shifted however as the image of James appeared and showed him opening the door in what appeared to be his office that led to their own home with Historia as their neighbor, snuggling against him and bobbing up and down on her toes excitedly before one of her bounces ended with her planting a quick kiss on his cheek and whispering, "I like this dream even better."

She turned her gaze on Renee as she made her response about the manna trees helping with the portals and nodded her agreement, "I was just thinking about how we might be able to just draw manna from the land to power portals, but the more efficient way of doing it might just be to have a large set of doors on each tower that function the way the door back at the castle does," she rested her chin in her hand thoughtfully, tilting her head as Renee mentioned a 'someone,' because there wasn't anyone that she could really think of that would be able to help right now.

She watched Renee and Seifer as they discussed their future, smiling at Seifer's declarations about his intentions. He was much more simple than he liked to lead everyone to think and she saw him in a slightly different light than she had before. He seemed like much less of a snob. Though her attention turned back to Renee and she laughed slightly, "I'm sure that there will be plenty of jobs available right after the war... I mean, if you really think about it, there are going to be a lot of injured people that will need to be taken care of..." she cleared her throat gently, not really wanting to point out the fact that many have died and a lot of them probably were healers and doctors of sorts.

At Renee's mention of the Nameless One, Lydia balked slightly, her eyes widening as she looked to James for a moment, "Renee... I don't really think that's the best idea... how would we get him to cooperate? And if we had to keep him around to ensure that the portals stayed open..." she shook her head, "I really think he ought to just be destroyed... along with his other followers on the other side of the Storm Wall," it was a deadly task to set forth, but Lydia didn't feel that in her heart, any alternative couldn't eventually lead to ruin. The first guardians had sealed away the Nameless One and his followers and they had all risen again, they needed to be put down for good in her opinion, and the anxiety she felt over Renee's suggestion was evident as her arms crossed and she huddled against James, looking down at the mural on the floor.

"WHAT?" said James and Seifer in unison at the same time Echo asked her if she was insane. The archer laughed when Renee admitted that she was so easily. He wasn't that surprised, he was a first-hand witness of almost all the out-of-this-world ideas that Renee has ever had in their adventure, and that included staying in love with him despite being a deathknight before. And it all worked out. So, despite how crazy this one sounded, he knew there was a chance it was going to work.

James seemed to agree with Lydia's statement. He had placed an arm over her shoulders and smooched her forehead when she kissed his cheek and said that she liked his dream, now it just stayed there as he gaped at his sister. He listened to her ask them to at least hear her out. "Alright, I'm listening." said James encouragingly.

Actually Lydia has a point about the medical job. The more the Pendragon sister thought on it, the more she realized that maybe she should look for other medi-witches and wizards who can help too.

Then Renee frowned, pondering on how to explain the method but then she shook her head as she decided to just be blunt with it. As always. She smiled when she heard Seifer laughing and that smile grew when James let her explain. "Thank you..." Her wings fluttered happily again as she cleared her throat.

"We're not going to convince him to cooperate. We're going to force him." She said.

"Obviously he's not going to listen. Why would he when he's been an angry creature for centuries now? He isn't going to be the reason to keeping the portals open either. That's just...silly and it gives him control. No, what I have in mind for the Nameless one is to make him help with the Manna streams in the realms like the Manna trees do when they sing, but without letting him use it or control it."

Renee gripped onto Seifer's hand as she looked to the mural. "I was thinking to change him into a tree that can help relieve the stress off of Luthien and Ethellion and seal the rifts for good. If sealing the Nameless one won't work then making him do community service will keep him busy and a purpose to see why it's better to keep the realms alive and well."

Her orange eyes glowed brightly with determination. "He's going to be the reason why the Manna trees are keeping us safe and since he can take so much manna without getting backlash from it, I thought he would be the best conductor for the large and constant amount of manna..."

"What do you guys think? Making the Nameless one into a tree similar to the Manna trees but without having any use for it. Only to help Ethellion and Luthien while keeping the realm of the giants closed for good."

"Lignum vitae..." Renee answered as she shrugged her shoulders. Her wings fluttered a bit. "Remember how I was researching in the Jade palace's library about portals? Well I stumbled upon an unfinished spell circle between the pages in one of the rune books."

"The more I looked into the spell circle, the more I noticed it's an alteration spell. It was old too, like the piece of paper I found was starting to crumble." She rambled a bit. "I couldn't stop sneezing either- off topic, um-...So I tinkered with the spell and finished it."

" Wow." said James, impressed. He didn't know his sister could do something like that. "Okay. Next is the power source then, something powerful enough to transfigure an ancient being." They'd probably need something much more powerful than a dragon. Their strength was enough to exorcise a shard of Valdanr's soul, and entire ancient being that needed many lives to just seal away was going to require much, much, more.

But he was getting ahead of himself. They still had their current foes to deal with. "I don't know where we're going to get it, but that's a good start Renee. Let's talk about it some more after the war."

Katsuya Katsuya Roleplay Skittle Roleplay Skittle

"O-Okay..." Renee agreed, smiling bashfully before hiding her red flaming face into Seifer's arm. She wasn't going to hope anything out of it yet, it's just a talk. It wasn't as if they were going to do it immediately and chances are everyone is not going to agree with the idea or the spell either; but just knowing that James wants to talk about it...

Her wings wouldn't stop fluttering around-! The Pendragon sister lifted a hand to gently cup one of her wings and push it down a bit like that would stop them. She giggled quietly as she squeezed his arm with a hand, swaying a little bit in place.

Her orange eyes looked over at Lydia, wondering how she felt about this idea. The witch is more reliable when it comes to creating spell circles and runes, so she wanted her honest opinion on it. Maybe she can take a look at it too just to make sure it wasn't broken still or missing any necessary runes.

Lydia just listened silently, her gaze not meeting anyone else's and focused intently on the mural. She was still and her hands cupped either of her elbows, her expression not letting onto what she was feeling or thinking at the moment despite how her face would normally be a dead give away to all of her thoughts. She didn't say anything for a long while and was still silent for several moments after it seemed the conversation had concluded before she looked at Renee earnestly and simply said, "anything that can be done can be undone."

James glanced at Lydia. He didn't say anything, but kept his arm around her shoulders.

Seifer meanwhile was happy Renee was happy, and at Lydia's disapproval, he frowned. The witch would really be very helpful if she had a little faith. "But you don't know that, Dubois." he said. "It could be permanent for all we know, why are you so looking at the negative side?"

Katsuya Katsuya Roleplay Skittle Roleplay Skittle

Lydia didn't mean to be a downer, but she was a realist and was analyzing the situation objectively. Being hopeful could only do so much. She looked at Seifer, "I'm not saying that the spell wouldn't be a success, I am simply saying that there is a chance someone could come and undo the spell. Look at the last ten thousand years since the last time the Nameless One awoke. They thought they had taken care of it, but still they were vigilant. Of course they weren't vigilant enough or Valdanr wouldn't have escaped and started all of this... so who's to say that the Nameless One's other followers won't escape and secretly plot to undo the spell? And they are beings thousands of years older than any of us. Regardless of all of our knowledge, they have been around longer and have more knowledge," she sighed and shook her head, "and you are right, we don't know, we don't know if it could be permanent or not, it's a toss up. What we need is a permanent solution."

Her hands squeezed her elbows more tightly as her brow furrowed, her gaze slipping away from Seifer and back to the mural, her hand slipped away from her elbow and moved to her chin. Lydia was obviously in thought about everything, that much was evident as her finger curled over the front of her mouth. They may not like it, but what they were discussing was a dangerous solution and Lydia was just being analytical about it. She wanted to be sure that what they were doing wouldn't be the same as what the first guardians had done, something that could eventually be undone.

Zer0 Zer0 Katsuya Katsuya

Renee bit her bottom lip, pondering as she listened to their conversation. Then she sighed and looked at Lydia. "You're right." She said. "Anything that can be done can be undone. I mean, we managed to set free Seifer and Hisaya from Valdanr's grasp, even ourselves too, and we're teenagers with less experience about magic then the very old fat fart of a dragon."

"...but we're teenagers who somehow, despite the very high odds of not succeeding, still succeeding and able to face off a servant of the Nameless one." Renee retorted, bluntly. "Yea, we're facing a very old, practically ancient being that none of us even knew existed anymore because no one on this side has ever thought the legends could be real. Yea, there's followers who would try to set him free...if he was sealed away again." She looked at the mural too.

"That's why I thought by turning him into a tree, he wouldn't feel like he's trapped in a seal. He would be out in the open with nothing to try to escape from since he's not sealed away. It's not like he can run away too because...well...he'd be a tree...Trees don't run unless they can change forms which...I'm pretty sure they don't unless they're growing up with time, then yea...The followers wouldn't be able to tell if he was the nameless one without his overwhelming signature of power either since it's going to be cut off." She still remembers that choking feeling all too well.

"But if you truly want a permanent solution that's for sure permanent, what would you do to defeating the nameless one? How are we going to kill it if just by one look from him and we'll be petrified?" Renee asked earnestly.

Seifer just nodded at Lydia after Renee spoke, as though his girlfriend's point decided it; James just kept quiet. He wasn't going to add fuel to this argument by picking a side, especially when most of it is speculation, so there was no point in arguing any further without more research. And besides, there's their current foes to look at, but he said nothing, and just let Renee and Lydia talk this out.

His arm stayed where it was around her shoulders, as he watched her go into her 'thinking' pose.

Katsuya Katsuya Roleplay Skittle Roleplay Skittle

A slow nod was all Lydia offered Renee in response to her agreement that what has been done can be undone, glad that she was willing to admit that at least, however, her expression changed as she raised her head. With her thought process interrupted, a somewhat annoyed expression crossed her features as Renee went on arguing her point, Lydia's gaze drifting to Seifer briefly as he stood beside Renee and acted like her words ended the discussion.

She shook her head as she shrugged away from James, "that's exactly the point! We did undo the Deathknight curse from Seifer and Hisaya, and we did free ourselves from Valdanr as well, but we knew their was still a chance that all of those things wouldn't happen and we acknowledged that! We knew there were alternate eventualities and we prepared for those outcomes! We didn't just hope for the best and take one route without considering the fact that what we wanted and what we were working towards wouldn't actually happen."

Lydia rubbed her temple in frustration, groaning slightly, "arguing your point doesn't make everything that could counter your arguments implausible. Painting me as the bad guy doesn't make my points any less valid," she stepped further from James and took Renee's hands in hers, "you have a warm soul and are always optimistic... and while these traits make you a wonderful friend, you need someone to help balance them out. So if I have to be the bad guy by pointing out the weak points in a plan, I will. You are the heart and I am the mind, a whole can't function without both."

Giving Renee's hands a firm squeeze and offering her a sincere smile in the hopes that she understood that she wasn't telling her that her plan was bad, she was just saying that they needed to refine it so all their bases were covered, Lydia moved away before she once more went into thought. It didn't take her long to touch on what she had been thinking before and after only a few moments she turned back to the others, "what is the point of the virtues?"

Her footsteps carried her nearer to the others, "anyone can use the seal on the Nameless One, but only the virtues can wield the power of Draco. Bloodlines obviously have nothing to do with the ability because none of us are related to the original virtues, so what is it that sets us apart from the first guardians?" Lydia had a gleam in her green eyes that said she held the answer, but wanted to see if anyone else had thought about it before, "what is the point of wielding Draco's power?" Sure, they all had gained abilities from the Ascension, but in the grand scheme of things those were only steps that would carry them to where they could face the Nameless One and not necessarily could they be used to definitively defeat him. Which got Lydia to thinking, why would Draco have made the decision to break himself into seven pieces to be passed down in case something like what had happened before happened again?

Her eyes widened slightly as it seemed that something occurred to her that hadn't before. Like saying the name had called up something that she hadn't yet realized, "Draco," she smiled, "Draco. He had been there, but he hadn't been divided yet... maybe the key to this is Draco. Maybe it isn't about who has his pieces so much as what they can do with them," her gaze turned back to Renee, "Renee, you pointed out how we are all just teenagers, but look at what we have accomplished.... look at what we have accomplished! Fate brought us together because of what we would become, because of what we can do. Maybe what we can do is key, maybe there is something that we can make happen that hadn't been possible before."

Lydia wore a bright smile as her mind worked over what she was suggesting, "if we turned the Nameless One into a tree... he would still be the Nameless One. He would still have that evil in him no matter what leniency you offered, Renee. He has held that evil in him for more then ten thousand years... but if we took that evil out of him? If we purified him into nothing but his raw power, we wouldn't have to worry about any eventual repercussions. Maybe that is what Draco was meaning to happen when he divided himself. As guardians, maybe if we combine our powers we can somehow fuse the pieces of Draco into one... maybe in that way he will live again and be able to harness the power of the Nameless One. Then we can use your spell to turn him into a tree to help conduct the manna of the world and keep the chaos at bay."

Renee narrowed her eyes when Lydia exploded in annoyance, bothered about something as the tiny witch grabbed her hands and squeezed. Her cheeks had a tint of red as she squeezed back, her wings fluttering. Her expression softened up a bit from the sincere smile.

She stayed quiet, listening to what Lydia is saying as Renee leaned on Seifer a bit. She looked up at him and gave him a small smile, patting his arm comfortingly before looking back at the tiny witch. Then she blinked with each question Lydia asked, pondering herself and nodded in each point she made.

Once she was done the Pendragon sister backed away from Seifer to reach over to Lydia and placed her hands on her shoulders.

"That's" She squeezed lightly with a calm and supporting smile. "a good idea. Though we have to figure out on how to summon Draco's essences. There's also the part of making sure the Nameless one doesn't do anything while we do said summoning...Perhaps I can blind him with one of my arrows so he doesn't petrify us, just in case. It worked before. It'll work again."

Then Renee's hands went up to her face and softly pinched her round cheeks and pulled a bit. It doesn't hurt but it does show that Renee is annoyed. Especially with the way she grinned a little too widely at the tiny witch and her fluttering wings puffing up.

"Now what's this about making you as the bad guy? If I really felt that way, I wouldn't say anything about the spell and just do it without anybody's approval. Consequences be da*mned." Renee muttered. Everyone knows she would too as she is stubborn enough to go through with it. Then she let her cheeks go to gently wrap her arms around Lydia's shoulders. "I still remember what you told me long time ago, back at Holt: We're all doing this together." She squeezed her in her hug.

"Thank you for seeing what I can't see and finding a solution to fix it." Renee smiled gratefully at her friend as she leaned back before patting her left shoulder. "Okay? So no more of this 'Making me into a bad guy' business. I asked for an opinion and you gave me one seriously. That's more than enough what I can ask for from a friend and I'm happy that you did." Her wings fluttering excitedly like that is a good indicator that she really is happy. Renee smiled before hugging her again, giggling and rubbing their cheeks against each other.

"Any opinions from you two? Echo?" Renee asked to the other three in the soul room, letting Lydia go as she turned to them. The fawn looked a little frightened. "D-Do we have to summon...a-a-!"

"Yes, for this plan to work, we're going to have to summon the essence of Draco."

"...so it's not a ghost?"

"Snk-! No, Echo. It's not a ghost." The fawn sighed in relief, her ears relaxing and limp as she placed a hand over her chest. Renee shook her head. If she said that they were summoning the power of a ghost dragon, Echo would freak.

James' face remained cool, but he was internally panicking when Lydia shrugged away from him, wondering if his silence made him unknowingly take a side; Seifer just leaned his head on Renee's head supportively when she explained her point of view.

So the three ladies were in on this general plan, Lydia only on the condition that it'll work, all bases covered, and if it's the best solution. James just didn't say anything as the two ladies hugged, that is until Renee asked for their opinion. This felt so delicate, who's side does he pick? On one hand, he promised to be a more open older brother to Renee's ideas, on the other hand, he liked Lydia too much to have a disagreement with her that could probably extend for days. And he didn't want that, she was his comfort during the hard times, and he didn't want to sour their times together with what happens here.

He decided to go with his own personal opinion. "I opt we talk about this after the war."

Seifer on the other hand stifled a chuckle when Renee squeezed Lydia's cheek. For once, Dubois was treated her age. "I'll help you with whatever you decide, babe." he said to Renee "But, yes, we have to make sure it's safe to draw all the Nameless One's evil out. We're probably going to need some kind of containment field when you open its giant door.
