Roleplay Skittle
Eternally Awkward
Lydia just shook her head at James expression and offered him a sympathetic smile as she took his face in her hands, "stop that... we'll get them back... just like we got Seth and Serena back," she rubbed her nose against his, "you can even help me prank them back like I promised I would."
A somewhat dumbfounded expression remained on her face during the interaction with the goblin chieftain mainly because of his seeming exuberance at the idea of blowing things up. With a somewhat nervous laugh she shook her head and said that his presence was only necessary to assure the orcs that what they said was true and that they would be counted as just as important as anyone else siding with the allies against Valdanr. She wanted him to understand and to help her help anyone that they tried to convince to their side that they were on the side of life where Valdanr represented nothing but death and once his prince had filled himself on all of those that had opposed him, he would then go after those that he had used to assure his victory and Lydia didn't want to see anyone being unwittingly enslaved. Primarily Lydia was relying on having fought Ruk, and even hopeful that they would see him again with the orcs because she thought that maybe he would help their cause. She just didn't want any of them to think they were being fooled because that wouldn't be good for anyone, even though they might not know it.
She felt a little embarrassed by Kenren's statement and she wasn't really sure why, but she just nodded her head, her hands held together in front of her. Her eyes widened slightly as he stated that Bourgeaus would be the first to be rebuilt and couldn't help but smile about the idea, Bourgaeus did have rich mining plots and they had already made some leeway as far as the war was concerned so it would actually be a pretty excellent place to start, especially since it was a factory city and the factories would still be used even after they had served their purposes as far as helping the other states rebuild. She couldn't help but smile brightly and look at James, full of hope. She had been fully prepared to put her homeland on the back burner to help rebuild other cities in other states, but when the logistics of it were brought up to her, she realized how much sense it would actually make to start right there in Bourgeaus.
She shuffled her feet slightly as Kenren complimented her and nodded her head, smiling shyly, "I... I just do what feels right," she giggled nervously, "b-but... thank you... and if it would help, I can draw copies of the exorcism rune I used here to be sent to the outposts... I did teach it to some of the witches and warlocks here that helped fortify Bourgeaus and they might be able to help elsewhere."
Lydia paused a moment in thought as she made her suggestions, she knew she would have to go, "I know I won't have much time once I leave... but I'll try and come up with a solution as far as sealing the shades," she smiled slightly, she had already developed the exorcism circle so some modifications to that might work. She was silent as he then brought up another thing which he evidently didn't want to name just yet and she watched him curiously before nodding and taking her leave, holding James' hand as they exited the tent.
She was curious what sort of thing Kenren would need to talk to her about that wouldn't be necessary until the war was over, there wasn't a single thing she could think of that would be necessary, but she chose not to think about it and instead just enjoyed her time with James once they were alone in her tent and he had gotten all of the things he needed to be more comfortable. When he asked if she wanted something from the kitchens, she declined to ask for anything and waited for him to return before she went to clean up for the night.

The following morning when Lydia woke, she stretched her arms over her head and lay there for a moment staring at the ceiling of the tent before looking over to James to see if he was awake yet, a sweet smile on her face which quickly turned to one of amusement when all she saw was feet. A mischievous smile crossed her features then and she slowly shifted so as not to wake James before she woke him up with a storm of tickles on his woolly covered feet.
