Running Wild
Archer's gaze followed the voice and narrowed when he spotted the girl who had earlier caught him in a moment of weakness. She looked young. They all did. Too young to go where they were headed apart from the childlike man in their company. "Somewhere you kids shouldn't be." He bit out coldly as he limped past the girl who had apologised to him, shoulder knocking into her. Teenagers shouldn't be at bars. The mere thought that they were headed there had irritated Archer so much that he couldn't even be bothered to do things he would normally do like apologise. Alcohol and drunks. The two things really got under his skin. And yet he would always head to bars and order non alcoholic drinks. All to justify the events of that day. To foster the beliefs that had kept him going all the while. He limped into the bar and took a seat at a large table hoping that seeing the scary man from earlier taking the only table left that could house all of them in the otherwise fairly crowded bar would keep the kids out of places they didn't belong. He snapped his fingers at a nearby waiter and ordered the same drink he had earlier before staring out the window.
