Fandom Homestuck Roleplay: Sburb Omega

Trolls don't have parents anyways, not in the human interpretation of the word.

Mkay. I'm ready to begin, I know everything I need to know about my characters.

Wonderful, knowing push he may jut come around at like four or five and edit Athena so we're good to go.

Mulling over the concept a little deeply I think that your character's personality needs some work to attune to his classpect. Simply put, as we can see in John (Don't use Aquerius as an example, he inherited void so he basically inherited nothing and relies upon himself to form a personality) Heirs typically gravitate to their aspect and often remain slightly naive while the entire principles surrounding Hope remain in faith, trust and belief. I believe taht your character would be immensely cheerful and even outgoing despite what you put in your Application form. I can imagine a slightly giggling Pokemon nerd when I think of Ryan, and I was wondering if that's what you imagined him as additionally.

But of course we have the inner personality column for what lurks beneath the veil many players put on. He can be slightly insecure or angry sometimes because of a sense of loneliness which makes him put so much faith in the friends which help him feel not so lonely. But i'd like it to be more fitting to the title he bears as a person who 'inherits hope'.

Ryan would certainly be an outgoing and even cheerful person outwardly. He was initially a Prospit dreamer because he fits in with Prospit so well. He's Dersite however because he doubts himself and is inwardly on the depressed side. His friends come to represent beacons of hope for him in his dreary little apartment. He feels locked up and hopeless, and would inherit hope; hope that his friends aren't something to be outgrown and hope of independence when SBURB starts. He inherits hope in that he's been curious of religion his whole life but denied a chance to pursue these interests until now, starting a session with two significantly religiously affiliated people, in a game that explains the origins of the universe. He may suffer from things like self-consciousness, but he's certainly rather Naive. While his early game (due to his really unpleasant planet) would rely on being saved, likely by his friends, he has great potential to become a source of hope as well, aspiring to be like the heroes in his action movies and being physically able enough to become like them.

I initially wondered if he would fit as a Page of Hope, but thought Heir more fitting. He doesn't really have opportunities to feel hopeless once the game actually starts; a lot of the things he would need to otherwise overcome are pretty much just handed to him from the get-go, and he'd likely be a much cheerier person once he actually get in-game and starts alchemizing up Pokeballs or something.

I imagine it would have something to do with taking his copy of fire red, jumping through hoops and possibly creating some sort of machine for genetic engineering. Either that or just alchemize a pokeball with a pokemon inside it. That seems like a vastly easier route.

In any case, do we have any plans on who serves as who's server/client player?

We could just wing it and match up randomly (particularly matters of who retrieves their discs faster) or we could try doing it in some way that could conceivably be meaningful and/or synergistic.

Double Mobius Reacharound seems to prove there's not really anything from stopping us from doing this any way we want.

If we were to purposefully find a designed order which meant something symbolically, it would really be haphazardous to the synergy of the Players themselves.

If we do something based upon relationships and familiarity, it seems more beneficial to them working through entering the medium. Yet somehow less fun and seemingly less.thought through.

Additionally, it would call for a need for discussion concerning Relationships with our Characters, which I think will be another discussion to be had.

I'll be leaving for a short while, sleep and all.

Oh, nevermind, I just checked the overview, no slots available.. Is it possible I could join? Maybe as the midnight crew or some npc? I've been hunting for a good SBURB RP to join for a while..

...In any case, will there be additional sessions besides ours? (And I don't mean scratched sessions, I mean ones with 6 entirely different characters)
[QUOTE="Elision of Ecritures]I believe that the purpose of thebforum is to center an entire plot around a basic storyline and have a more or less normal session (and by normal session I mean one where these characters actually play to game and maybe even best it to a degree) and then they mess up at the end somehow. Basivally, the game of Sburb is already interesting enough to Rp and then we can get into crazier plot nonsense.

I'm not sure if he misunderstood me, but I took his response combined with the overview to mean that he had no plans for accommodating sessions besides ours yet. Of course I'm not him, but I just wanted to let you know it's my impression that it's too late.

PUSHKS IS HERE, HAS READ OVER 50 MESSAGES OF ECTOBIOLOGY MESS, AND IS VERY SORRY FOR NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE DISCUSSION but I live in a different timezone and it was 5am for me when this everything occured. ;-;

Anyway, I'll be home in an hour or so, so I promise to finish the sheet. x) Athena, personality wise, will be a much more active gal than Rodja was, if that means anythin. But like. I'll finish the CS today anyway so...

Completely unrelated to everything ever:

Athena is A+

James is AB+

Ambrosius is A+

Katherine is O+

Ryan is A-

This means that:

Athena can receive blood from everyone but James

James can receive blood from everyone

Ambrosius can receive blood from everyone but James

Katherine can receive blood from no one

Ryan can receive blood from no one

Crocia is downright incompatible.

Some music to make the time pass:

In other news I assume we'll be starting once Elision wakes up.

OK GUESS WHO LIKE, FINISHED ATHENA'S SHEET. THAT'S RIGHT. ME. I DID IT.

@Ryik , I totally support Pokemon alchemization. Especially Jolteon. I support that so hard, I had the most badass Jolteon ever when I played Leaf Green last time. She was fuckin' awesome. Just too awesome for the world.

Anyway, I also got a suggestion for @Virtual Laptop . How would you feel about basing their guardians after roman gods, because of relation they have with greeks? Like counterparts and stuff? I think it'd be a neat addition to the whole thing. Like, perhaps just changing Hera's name to Juno? Y'don't gotta change anything else.

I also support Ambrosius and Athena being ecto-sibilings - both share physical similarities, and personality wise, they seem to me as two sides of a coin, with different approaches to same issues. Athena is a firmly-on-ground realist who is running away from dreams, and Ambrosius is a dreamer who runs away from reality. While he's giving in to religion, she's justifying and rationalizing it.

Also, lmao, coincidentally, they happen to share blood type.

Alright, I can easily change it. I can see Athena and Ambrosius being siblings, both being almost mirror images of themselves.

Yap. And then Athena's grandfather could be Seer of Rage, like a reference to Ares (eh, we gotta get this working somehow. He was originally supposed to refer to Minerva, but I guess that's out because of the classpect.)

Now, when mirroring guardians the genders they mirror should maybe be switched. We see that Roxy mirrors Dave, and Dirk mirrors Rose. But then again we have John and Jane who are really similiar, personality and looks-wise, and Jake and Jade, so maybe it's not a rule? Idk. Because maybe Ares could mirror Ambrosious, and Juno could mirror Athena. This is something to take in count, with all respective guardians.

Also, unrelated, we should decide on server-client schedule.

I can see Juno mirroring Athena seeing as she's a Sylph of Mind. Keeping up with the whole perspective of everything has a reason for being and a love of knowledge and tradition. However, when we bring that up we see that Jane and Jake switched genders opposed to John and Jade. In this case both Juno and Athena's grandfather fit in to these roles and can just be the mirrors that reflect back onto Ambrosius and Athena.

There's different ways of looking at looking at that stuff and I think it's a bit too vague and character-restricting to enforce or plan. It's certainly an option though; just a neat little detail like Ryan's weight or html color code.

Yap.

I'm looking through Ambrosius' sheet rn. Maybe instead Ares, Apollo would fit better? He would fit perfectly, with Ambrosius being really into psychic readings, tarot, mysticism, etc. The only problem is kinda the classpect. Apollo would be a great maid of... well, blood, but I guess that's out. We dunno if maid is a gender-restricted class, but that's the title @The Villain King reserved for the mother of the girl who was supposed to play instead Crocia.

Eh, it's still a cool detail. c:

In case of Athena and Ambrosius it's not restricting at all, since Juno and Athena mirror each other pretty well, and Apollo would be a great reference to Ambrosius.

Yeah, you could make Apollo a Void character or keep him as a Rage. I'm not sure what his class would be, but those two aspects fit in with Ambrosius's personality well. c:

James' guardian was intended to be a Mage of Void. Seer of Rage/Maid of Blood were the only roles left really, unless you'd like to ask someone to switch. It's just the guardian's aspect though, so it shouldn't stop the RP from actually starting while it's being sorted out.
