Fandom Homestuck Roleplay: Sburb Omega

I think we have all the classpects except Seer of Rage taken. :u


Anyway, if @The Villain King or @Elision of Ecritures are up for switching titles with Seer of Rage, I think it'd add up nicely to the whole RP. If not, welp, I'll just have to get it work somehow, it's not vital.


ANYWAY, BEFORE WE START. CLIENT-SERVERS. All other things can be discussed as we go (classpects of the guardians etc), since we got ectobiology down. Plot can also be discussed as we go, because we will have quite some rp-ing to do before even getting to villains or whatever.


Leader is the first one to go, right. I would suggest Elision for the leader, but James will have enough damn business breeding frogs with Athena, even though he seems as the best fit for the role of leader itself, in my opinion, as a character.


Other good guess would be @Ryik , because of good grasp on ectobiology. Dunno how well the role would be for Ryan's growth, though, but since you're still online you can tell us your thoughts. He could also have some prior knowledge of how genetics generally work, because of Pokemon? Breeding 'n stuff. Dunno.


Any other thoughts on why certain character/person should be the leader of their session? Everything is welcome.

I wouldn't know for a particular leader but an classpect can easily fit in the situation, such as how a Prince of space ghosts their opposite aspect in a way which calls for them ghosting Time, bei g very orderly and precise while in addition James on the outside at least seem the most level headed or father apathetic and honest out of the six.

This is my suggestion for the cycle. And we just pick it up from the leader's spot.


Not perfect nor finished, of course, but just something so we can work with and readapt it. Simply to get the discussion going.

Heirs, such as John are additionally proven to be good leaders though it can slightly depend upon their aspect as an heir.


But, the important last order of business is the Client and Server information, we can simply assing it according to personalities and synergy.


Athena to James (Both are studious and have clear heads with no nonsense ideals yet Athena is slightly more cheerful) to Ambrosius to Ryan to Kat to Crocia to Athena.


 
I decided to replace Kat with Ryan because it seemed more working as a pair. I mean, Ryans more sprightfull energy works more with Ambrosius' ghosted Void personality.

It could also work well with perhaps James and Ambrosius switched, since Athena and Ambrosius are the most developed ecto-sibs for now. Also, they would have lots of stuff in common to chat about, with both being into religion. She could also keep him kinda on reality track.


James and her gotta frog-breed tho. Maybe they could switch places? Crocia->James->Athena->Ambrosius.

I think James or Katherine would make the best leaders. Crocia is ruled out because it seems odd for a troll to lead a human session, much less want to. Ambrosius is ruled out for being a bard of life. (Lol just no) Ryan could be a leader but his shit early game along with the fact that he'd probably have more foreseeable difficulty getting the SBURB discs than anyone (due to his guardian) make this both unlikely and unwise. Athena doesn't seem like the leader type to me. Too hesitant and analytical. That leaves Katherine and James. Katherine is whimsical while James is brooding. I vote brooding


I had some suggestions for the server/client order, mainly structured with how Ryan is both delayed and probably the most eager to play SBURB because of how he's the only one with video games as a listed hobby, (Athena having it in likes though) but I'm fine with Elision's order. Seems better fitting than the first suggestion. (Switching James with Ambrosius though also makes a lot of sense...)

I'd vote Kat mostly to split the ectobiology-frog breeding duties, since there will be lots of other shit going on in the game too.


Athena isn't fit for a leader (knights don't really seem to be cut out for that).


Anyway, yeah, James and Athena should switch places in the cycle imo. Crocia is a creative gal who so that could be good, and I mentioned my reasoning for greek ecto-sibs to be near each other.

The reason I switched Ryan as the server for Crogia is because I believe hooking Ryans client through to the medium will be difficult because it will.most likely take the most time and Crocia seems like she would for whatever reason take some time to get to the medium, at least in comparison to the amounts of time it took for her friends to enter.

Crocia wouldn't care who her client and server are, but she isn't very patient. She'd probably be bugging her server to hurry up and help her get into the game.

It could also be that Ryan asked Athena to play among first ones too, since she is kind to like Pokemon too, but got delayed because of disks. Not important plot detail, just cool addition.


So anyway, we still gotta choose the leader. But this cycle should be good. Crocia is James' server, and she wants to start the game as soon as possible.

Also, suggestions for first Guardian of B1? I suggest Crocia's lusus, perhaps made with the "SNAP" code, hehe. We could play it off that Crocia wrote the code subconsciously and her guardian saw it, and then used ectobiology to try combining it with her lusus, creating...first guardian Snapdad. From Crocia's perspective, she just came back one day and her lusus somehow had time/space bending powers that it didn't have yesterday.

OK, the leader is a good title for James. Studious and always planning due to his affinity for time he stays reasonable and as a result of his personality dispatches a lot of 'fun' or likeable behavior to make room for being a fatgerly figure. Yet he still remains the Space player and it seems much too Fated for a Space player to be the leader. I vote Kat.


 
I believe we agreed upon a Jolteon First Guardian who messes with Ryan continuously.

Ah, I see. How would that work? Does he end up alchemizing a Jolteon during the session?

The scenario proposed isn't really how ectobiology works, (no replacement...) and it would result in two SNAPDads, one being completely overshadowed by the one with first guardian powers.


As an alternative we chose Ryan's pokemon alchemizing shenanigans, combined them with first guardian powers and made it haunt him like a timid sentient 'Lil Cal


I propose this layout for the session:

Katherine>Crocia


Crocia>Ryan


Ryan>James


James>Athena


Athena>Ambrosius


Ambrosius is connected with Athena


Athena is connected with James


Crocia is placed early


Ryan is placed in the middle


Katherine is the leader (Two votes)

This way everyone has their own very unique bits of information about them which makes them equally notable and gives purpose.


Athena and James work together to make the Genesis Frog, the epitome of why the Game exists in order to create a new species and a new universe.


Ambrosius is a Bard, how whimsical and interesting.


Crocia is a Troll in a human session, pretty cool.


Ryan knows the First Guardian personally, pretty cool.


And then we have Kat, who more or less is slightly unimportant to the plot as a whole, so she fits accordingly to take on the role as a leader with her slightly bouncy personality and great care for her friends.


I can imagine after he aclhemizes countless pokemon, all he has to do is just alchemise a very special guardian Joleton by accident or some such.

Since you're both online rn, I'm gonna ask if any of you is up for Guardian classpect switch - anyone who can make Seer of Rage work with the other session? Mage of Void/Maid of Blood would work pretty well with Athena's guardian, so that's why I'm askin'.

Yeah, agreed, too much work for the Space player, so I vote Kat too. Rogue of Time is also a good classpect for the leader to have.


The only thing is that she can go two ways from here - she has to learn how to think about others. But being the leader would give her an ego-boost too, and she isn't a doubtful introspective type. As far as I picked up from the sheet, a big part of her lesson is to learn how to support others, Rogue, like Knight, being a class that is about serving and protecting the team. But I'm letting @cordial Amphigory give us here her view on it.


Prince would be a better class for the leader. Heir is also a good class, since these classes are about individuals. Mage would be a good leader class too. Seer as well.


Anyway, okay, as it seems, Kat stays the leader, I got no objection.

After some thinking and discussion, I believe that we've concluded a final Server and client cycle.


Ambrosius > Kat > Crocia > James > Athena > Ryan > Ambrosius.

Uhh... doesn't that separate Ambrosius from Athena? As well, Ryan has obstacles, yes, but it's the main reason he isn't the very first in the game. He doesn't exactly have a lot to spend his time on, and that seems pretty late for him to join.

Hm.


Well okay, Ambrosius and Athena would probably talk a lot anyway, because of their common interests (mythology and stuff, they're both religious, except differently), but having a reason to do so isn't bad either, so the interaction doesn't become awkward. If they had client-server relationship, they'd have to talk.


Athena and James, on the other hand, will be forced to interact anyway because of the game, while greek ecto-sibs won't. That's why I vote for them to be together, and we can separate James and Athena, since they must communicate anyway. This way we are freeing up space for character and relationship development.


Ryan and Athena could do together because of gaming shit, tho.

Ok, we'll go by this then. I think we've reached a decision.

How about this? This was Ryan enters third, we have a reason for him being with Athena (possible game-buddies in general?), James can get his leader thing going on - not as leader of the party, but as the first server. It's good to have him be near Kat and Crocia, and he will have too much Athena-talk time (lmao). They gotta breed frogs together, so there will be quality time spent in pair. :v

That leaves Crocia joining second to last and connecting last.


We could switch Ryan and James, (so that Athena is connected to Ryan instead of James, James is Ryan's server and Crocia is James' server) but otherwise I think we're set.

This way Crocia gets way for interaction with James. He is the first server, and she is most knowledgable about the game, so she can help him out how to guide Kat in the beginning, and later be his server too. And since he is last, he also gets someone who knows what they're doing, so he can get in the game faster.
