Adeline Sherman \ Ravenclaw \ Year 5

Addie continued smiling though Azrael's comment made her a bit uncomfortable she ignored the feeling thinking on her classes, had she changed them? No, certainly not. She thought to herself before pressing her lips together, perhaps just once she could let a bit of drama slip her tongue. Turning slightly to Drew a half smile weaving its way onto her lips, "Let us hope they are as you claim an easy victory, its always a pity to hear so called 'new muscle' moan about their loss as they slump past the study tables." Addie smiled at Irene before adding, "Though both sides tend to groan at an equal volume.."

Bartley Smythe/Hufflepuff/5th Year

Bartley knocks on the door of the compartment the group are in and opens it slowly. "Hi uh, everywhere else is full, do you think I could, um...?" He catches sight of Drew and his nervous smile turns to a look of dread. Drew is one of the people who give Bartley grief over being Muggle Born. "I uh... On second thoughts I'll find somewhere else. Thanks anyway." He quickly steps back and goes to close the door behind him.

Drew Collins / Slytherin / Year 5

Drew tuned out the rest of Adeline's comment as his attention was caught by the sound of the door. He had a smug look on his face the second Bartley walked inside. They made a minimal amount of eye contact and Bartley instantly had a terrified look on his face. Drew had always bullied mudbloods like Bartley; they surely didn't deserve to be at Hogwarts. But before Bartley closed the door he said, "Hey you filthy mudblood, you're not going to find another open compartment. I surely wouldn't be within one hundred feet of a bunch of Gryffindors and a Ravenclaws if there was one so don't waste your time. Take a seat," he smirked.

Addie rolled her eyes briefly attempting to catch the eye and smile at the Hufflepuff boy, recognizing him from some of her previous classes. Again Addie found herself tempted to stare out the window at the fast passing plains, unable to decipher weather the trip was awkward and tense, or simply tense and casual. Shaking her head discreetly she began to play with the class ring her muggle step brother had given her as a gift for tutoring him in muggle college studies, it hung losly around her middle finger a string holding it in place so it wouldn't slip.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/s-l225.jpg.e9f4564dacb20f0244b599653fe7e69f.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="91382" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/s-l225.jpg.e9f4564dacb20f0244b599653fe7e69f.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Dallas Whitby/ Gryffindor/ 5th Year

Dallas was able to find a seat in the exceptionally packed train. However it was with Sickly Sturgis, Stinky Stanbus, and Chatty Katherine. After about fifteen minutes, Dallas needed to give his nose, ears, and immune system and break. He left his seat and began to walk about the train, half hoping to find a new seat but really to just cure his boredom.

Dallas was coming up to a full car and heard a familiar voice, one he grown to expect only good things from. It was Irene Dean's voice and Dallas was about to say hello, but he noticed Bartley, a Hufflepuff, and some sort of situation occurring.

"What's going on guys?" Dallas asked with a grin as he took note of all the 5th years, including the two Slytherins. Starting to see the problem here.

Irene Jack Dean/ Gryffindor/Year 5

"Thanks adeline for your compliment. I appreciate it." She was glad that the gryffindor's had back up from hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws. It was a great to have support. Irene once again rolled her eyes and mocked him while he was talking to Bartley. She liked Bartley, He was sweet, Shy, and She found him to be adorable. "Hey Bartley!" She said smiling warmly at him. She beckoned him to take a seat next to her. Then heard Dallas' Voice. She smirked teasingly as she said "Glad you made it Yankee.".

Dallas Whitby/ Gryffindor/ 5th Year

Dallas rolled his eyes at his Yankee nickname. "Yeah well, I was actually on time this year. But if you could see who I'm sitting with..." He formed his hand to a gun and pretended to blow his brains out. "Then again, this car is starting to look like an episode of The Real World. That's a Muggle show, FYI."

She grinned as she playfully rolled his eyes making extra room for him. " Well I guess you two can sit by me and yes I know what real world is, just never watched it." She confessed. She was relieved Dallas was there, since there was less tension than before.

"Well since you're asking." Dallas chuckled as he sat down next to Irene. He still got chills whenever he was close to Irene and tried to hide it as best he could. "Nice seeing you again, Cat. Same to you, Addie." He smiled at the girls before it faded away addressing the Slytherins, "Le Fay. Collins."

"Whitby." He greeted back in kind with a casual wave to the male who sat across from him. "This compartment is getting quite crowded isn't it? I suppose that's what you meant when you referenced a non-magical television program." Azrael pointedly ignored Drews blatant insult on the Hufflepuff. The situation was tense and him rebuking Drew in public would not make it any better.

"Be nice Dallas, Don't worry we'll be at Hogwarts soon." She said teasingly giving him a grin. She turned to Azrael then said. "This train is starting to get really crowded actually, if I'd known I would've found another way to get to Hogwarts." Honestly Irene was feeling squished but didn't want to complain about it.

Dallas began to blush at Irene's smile, but couldn't help but feel like there were one too many people here. "Well I was just stopping by anyways. I better get back to my own compartment." Dallas got up to make his leave before giving Irene a smile. "I'll see you when we stop." He walked back to his original seat and got comfortable for the next couple hours.

Bartley Smythe/Hufflepuff/5th Year

Bartley smiles slightly and goes to sit next to Irene, glancing at Drew nervously. Enduring his teasing and insults will be worth it to catch up with these guys, he won't be able to for a while once they arrive. "Huh. You guys have different TV? That's kinda weird. I mean, the Wizarding World tends to be all archaic and low-tech... Unless you do it with magic of course. Everything's done with magic... It's really cool." He trails off, musings cut short by his timidity. He glances around before pulling a tome out of his bag and beginning to reading it. He appears to be catching up on a little studying but is in reality reading a Muggle fantasy novel. He glances up every now and then and looks around slightly nervously, still paying attention the people around him.

Drew Collins / Slytherin / Year 5

Drew got up and left the compartment, "I'll be back in a bit." He was bored with the conversation and frankly couldn't stand almost anyone. He entered a nearby lavatory and locked the door behind him. Drew turned on the sink and leaned over it, splashing water on his face. Hogwarts, he thought, what a terrible excuse for a school. Over the years, he was growing tired of the place. The people with their constant cheerful demeanors especially bothered him, like that Irene girl. He didn't understand why she was so nice to the Bartley kid, he surely didn't deserve to be there. But it was still the same old routine and Drew was over it.

Sighed in relief. "Thank God, He left. He was starting to get on my nerves... Loosen up Bartley, I won't let him bully you while I'm around." She said giving him a nudge on his shoulder playfully. She was starting to get bored then realized she could probably lighten up the mood. "I'll just play something." She put her small bag on her lap then pulled out a ukulele that shouldn't be able to fit in there. She started to play the old muggle song soul sister which was her all time favorite song to play on the uke.

"Apologies." Azrael said, shaking his head as the sound of the instrument began to fill the area. "It's the way he was brought up since birth and his current environment doesn't help. While that's no excuse, it's hard to break away from conditioning like that..." Azrael left out the fact that he was raised under that same conditioning to a lesser extent. His Uncle always implied. in minuscule ways that they were superior than everyone else. It was never anything blatant.

Adeline Sherman
\ Ravenclaw \ Year 5

Addie had smiled back at Dallas, only to smile a bit more when Drew left, she never could understand why someone could be so narcissistic while being so pessimistic. Again she began gazing out the window enjoying the new sense of peace as Irene played her ukulele, a Train song, in its own way it was Ironic. A song composed by Train being played on a train. Thought Addie a small breath of laughter escaping her lips.

Drew Collins / Slytherin / Year 5

Drew exited the lavatory and stopped before he reached the compartment. He heard laughter and a pathetic little muggle song. He rolled his eyes. He couldn't bear going back in, so he passed by and decided to wander the train a little longer, maybe even buy something to eat. They had to be at least halfway there, didn't they? Then he wouldn't have to deal with all these annoying nuisances.

Dallas Whitby/ Gryffindor/ 5th Year

Much to his relief, Dallas had remembered a spell that would remove his senses for awhile which was the only way to survive the rest of the trip with Stinky Stanbus and Chatty Katherine. After a few minutes, Dallas fell asleep.

Dallas began to dream about a beautiful open field. He wasn't alone. A girl, as beautiful as the flowers surrounding us, playfully running, beckoning Dallas to chase her. Just as he reaches for the brunette's shoulder, he's transported inside a dark closet, and hears a woman scream. It was his mother, and it was the only memory he had of her.

"You don't have to apologize, I understand." She started to look out the window then sighed. She knew that most Slytherins were taught that ever since they were born but she didn't understand why. That was basically the reason why the wars happen, she always thought that it was petty and unnecessary. Everyone should be judged by their personality, not their blood purity. "I hope we get there soon or this train ride will be the death of me." She said dramatically, smirking as she put her ukelele on her lap.

"
Patience is a virtue Dean." Azrael recited sagely to the witch. "I can handle the long rides, usually I'm just messing around with magic or having interesting conversations that pass the time. What I can't handle is the fact that Cart Lady still hasn't arrived yet. Granted we're in the back of the train but still. I'm itching for some chocolate frogs..." He trailed off, as if he were thinking about something before he snapped his fingers. "As a matter of fact, to celebrate us coming back to Hogwarts I'll treat you guys to any sweets you want when she gets here. It's all on me."

Irene figured he was going to say that. He was always the wise one, she honestly thinks he has the mind of a 70 years old's. She was craving sweets as well especially honeydukes, she's been waiting for the cart to arrive since she got on the train. soon as Azrael announced he was treating everyone to candy, she replied "You really don't have to Azrael, you do a lot already. I should be the one paying." giving him a sincere smile. she appreciated his generosity towards them since it wasn't expected from his status but she didn't think she could take him up on that offer.

Azrael gave her a dismissive wave before a slight smile graced his visage. "You're right. I don't have to. I want to. Not like I spend much money at Hogwarts anyways." While the Le Fay family coffers were very, very full. Both from investment in both magical and muggle enterprises as well as wealth amassed from just being around for a long time, Azrael used very little of it. "Besides, don't you know it's rude to refuse gifts Dean?" He said , his smile growing a bit wider.

" Yes I do, but it doesn't bother me." She said teasingly, taking a glance out the window. She realized no one was really speaking, She guessed since most of the people in the compartment were introverts. The countryside looked peaceful which softened her expression."Since I haven't asked yet, how was your summer? Must've been very intriguing."

The smile on his face returned to a more neutral expression as silence reigned over the cabin. It was Irene's voice and subsequent question that broke the quiet. "Wonder why you would think that, I could be a very boring person.....but you're right. It was intriguing. Went to Greece and China for some dealings my Uncle let me sit in on. The Parthenon is something to be marveled at...." In the magical world, the Parthenon was reconstructed than placed under a heavy amount of muggle repelling charms. "Other than that, just reading and my Aunt helping me with Dueling..." He blinked as if remembering something before tilting his head at the girl. "Speaking of which, your mother was a Duelist wasn't she? My aunt encountered her a few times on the European Dueling Circuit.."
