Colby Brook

"Yes! I will come again. You two have fun now, but not too much fun," Sam says and rushes out the door.

Colby lightly gulps and turns to look about the room with a small whistle.

As Sam leaves the two of them and dinner has been finished, she turns her attention to the soft whistling of the only other human remaining.

"Colby.", her voice soft but still with enough of a tone to indicate that they needed to talk about something and she is first to speak of it, "We need to talk about our relationship...or my staying here is going to become awkward...for both of us."

Colby Brook

Colby gulps and slightly glances at her, guilt and nervousness in his expression. "I... I know. It's just stupid," he grumbled and braced his knees.

She comes to sit beside him before laying a hand on his shoulder, "It's not stupid that you feel more than friendship for me, or rather that is the impression that Sam gave to me...but I need to know...if that is indeed how you feel."

Colby Brook

Colby flinched in surprise from her touching his shoulder and he stared at the wall in front of him. "I..." he really didn't want to make things uncomfortable with her, but he knew he should be honest with her. "I do feel more than just a friend with you..." he said quietly.

It seemed that Sam was even more correct than presuming that Colby wanted more than friendship and she couldn't deny that thoughts of him had become more frequent, even when he was out of sight or out of the apartment. However, she did not want their relationship...if that is what they had forming...being forced, that either side felt that it was an obligation because of the circumstances that they had met. Or, because of her mother telling her to stay with Colby as to learn about the human world with someone that could be trusted to not lead her astray.

"Do you want us to be more than friends and room-mates?", her hand remaining on his shoulder with a serious tone used to in her voice.

Colby Brook

Colby had an uneasy and sheepish expression on his face as he slightly turned to see her face. "I know it will make things awkward that I do feel that way..." he says at last to her question. "I was only here to teach you of the human world-- but then I caught more than friends and roommates for you... I'm sorry," he says slowly.

She softly smiles toward Colby before responding, "Don't feel bad because you have more than friendship feelings for me.", one of her hands takes the closest of his into it and gives a gentle though firm squeeze to reassure him. "I have had thoughts about you as well...but, I didn't want you to feel like it was forced.", given their situation that could easily come off as that and if by chance, she did find herself not feeling the same way then she would tell him.

Colby Brook

Colby looks at her in surprise, his eyes widened slightly. He was awestruck and didn't know what to say. He gently clenched his teeth, trying not to say anything stupid. "I-I don't know what to say," he admitted at last. His free hand rubbed the back of his neck and he looks down at his other hand.

She smiles a bit more, "We'll take things slow...there is no reason to rush anything between us.", she just sits there with content to hold his hand.

Colby Brook

Colby slowly nods after a long moment. "Okay..." he says quietly. He was obviously still surprised. His left leg began shaking and his heel tapping lightly against the floor. Yep. Very surprised. Colby's blue eyes quivered as he looked down at his hand and lightly interlocks his fingers with her own.

She continues to hold his hand and smiles happily as he returns the gesture, "There, see...there is nothing to be afraid of, or be worried about.", her voice is soft as to reassure him. "Since, we're going to be spending more time together...I think we should get to know one another a bit more and I'm going to need to practice my shapeshifting magic more.", being stuck in the house al day was not her idea of being a 'fun day', but she knew that going out as she truly was could not be done.

Colby Brook

Colby smiled a bit at her reassurance. He looks at her once more as she speaks again. "Yeah..." he goes silent in thought before speaking again. "Going outside wouldn't be much of an option-" he pauses as he comes up with an idea. "-We could go over to Sam's house. He has a huge backyard and house. He also has a garden."

Her head shook in response before looking to the clock to see that 'bedtime' was not too far off, "No, we shouldn't involve Sam more than needed to...not everyone is as kind and understanding as you two have been." Although, that didn't mean she wouldn't like to go visit him from time to time as that would be another activity that they could do together with their budding relationship.

Colby Brook

He slightly nods and mouths 'okay'. "We could..." he sounded out of ideas. "Try going outside at night?" He shrugged, hopelessly. He felt sheepish. He wanted to help, but all his ideas wouldn't work.

The offer of going outside during the night sounded more comfortable and so her head nods in agreement, "I think that would be safer for us.", she gently pulls him up from the couch with her. "Maybe in time, we could make our own garden to give us more privacy.", remembering how open it was around the pool that was probably too cold to get into now.

Colby Brook

Colby finally lets a smile form on his face as she agrees. "Okay," he says with a sigh of relief. He looks surprised again as she pulls him up from the couch, but he lets her. "That sounds good with me," he spoke with a firm grip on her hands now. "I've never really done a garden before..." he admits with a sheepish chuckle.

She walks out to the backyard while yet holding his hand though not with an iron hold, as she did not want him to feel like he had no say of the matter of what they did now. Colby was obviously a shy young man and it was probably going to take some time as to get him more confident with himself, she wanted them to be partners...if their relationship was to last. The only thing she was wearing yet was the apron and thus that left her round rump exposed in full view, her thick and long tail providing the only cover to what was between her legs from the rear.

Colby Brook

Colby was still surprised about all of this and just simply followed her, his hand gently holding onto hers without a word. Colby smiled slightly as his brain began to slowly process everything that was occurring. He could barely believe all of this. Colby was trying to ignore the fact that she was simply wearing the apron-- he shook his head a bit.

The dragoness continues to lead him towards the pool, or at least the outside border of it with mindfulness to avoid getting too close to somewhere that could be slippery for both of them. There were really no words to exchange between them at the moment as they had said what was needed to be spoken for now and so she contents herself to just hold his hand, while looking up at the stars.

Colby Brook

For a moment, Colby was grateful for whatever Sam had said to her, or none of this would've happened-- maybe..? Colby gently grips her hand and also looks up at the stars with a soft smile forming on his face.

"They're so pretty.", she softly says and smiles widely at the thought of her mother looking at the same set of celestial bodies, "I almost want to reach out and touch them, you know...save for the fact that they're super hot gases from millions of miles away."

Colby Brook

"Yes, they sure are," he agrees with a calm tone. He chuckles slightly and continues to face upward, suddenly thinking of his own mother, and his smile somewhat quivered but shook off any of those thoughts. This night is one to remember. He didn't want any sad thoughts to take it away from him.

She continues to stand there and hold his hand before finally pulling her gaze away from the stars, looking at Colby now. "Do...you know...think it'd be weird, if...if I slept with you tonight?", she didn't want to rush their relationship into anything he didn't want to do.

Colby Brook

Colby's eyes widened a bit at the request of her to sleep with him since he would only sleep with Bud, who would sleep by his feet. "If you're okay with Bud being in the bed also," he chuckled a little.
