Kyle McKade looked down at the invitation, then back up at the peeling concrete of the abandoned building, then back down again.
"I guess this is the place." He muttered, stuffing the shard of paper back into his trouser pocket and striding up to the rotted doors.
He knocked.
Then again.
Then again.
With a sigh, Kyle heaved the door open, peering into the dark expanse beyond. Flicking a discrete switch on his neck, a light source burned to life from the top of his shoulder, illuminating the void that blanketed the interior.
After stumbling about like an idiot for several minutes, he finally came across a twin set of metal doors, the only thing that wasn't coated in layers of dust. Thinking hopeful thoughts, he stabbed the button mounted to the side of the doors. After several seconds, they slid open, revealing the cramped space within. "An elevator.." He marvelled, stepping inside before jabbing at the basement button.
