Jun wears a dark leather suit (brown in colour) with blue cloak and sash running across his chest. His swords rest on each hip and he occasionally carries daggers on either his boot, his chest, or his back just above his hip.


Background: Jun is half-elven and half-man. His mother, an elf, lived on a farm on the country side with her family. At a young age, she was attacked and raped by a group of men and ended up pregnant with Jun. Her family disowned her and she left to go live on the streets of Dendra. She raised Jun as best she could until she passed away from from sickness when he was 5. After her death, Jun had nowhere to go so he tried to survive on his own until he found other orphans like himself and decided to join their little family.


Personality: Jun is known for being the bright side of the orphans. He is as optimistic as he can about every situation life throws at him and is dedicated to cheering others up when they are down. His constant positive outlook often breeds annoyance and disgust from other members of the orphans, but he still continues to be positive anyway. His positivity is also one of his weaknesses as he is very trusting and only sees the best in everyone, including villains. His extreme positivity also breeds extreme cockiness in almost everything he does.

A little Bat - An ironic spell she dislikes using though will if she has too, it allows her to transform into a normal sized bat. This can only be used at night and for a limited time, depending on how recently she fed.


Darkness Manipulation - A more limited power that requires more energy to use than the previous, she is able to control existing shadows yet not generate any. Solidification isn't possible.

Vera's personality is a bit muddled. More often than not, she’s exceedingly intellectual. Having knowledge on subjects she can’t remember learning about yet wouldn’t think twice about correcting you. Not so much for the learning opportunity, yet for the pure humor of comical reactions. Vera is also quite serious, yet that doesn’t mean she hates sarcasm. Trust me, it’s used often.



Then we have a bit of a difference. Vera can be immature, having to making that joke at the wrong time. Sarcastic, as mentioned above. Not often, but when needed she won’t hold back a retort in this manner. A tad antisocial. Not wanting to get involved with unnecessary social interactions. History

Naturally, she has waist-length chocolate-coloured hair, with waves rippling downwards. Usually though, she ties it into two thin pigtails which appear longer than they actually are. Her eyes are a vivid emerald-green, which strangely appear alive. Slim and agile, her figure is taller than most females and flexible. However, she is quite underweight and frail, from giving her food to her friends, rather than herself.

*Background*

As she was born, her mother, a prostitute, had dumped her in a dumpster far away, before continuing on with her life. However, an old woman, as she was passing by, heard quiet cries from the bin nearby. Her name was Linda, a kind old woman who was in heavy debt, left behind by her abusive husband. Despite her troubles, she took Aliana in as her own, becoming her sole joy and family member left. Aliana grew up peacefully, but always aimed to give Linda a better life, and took many odd jobs for money and useful objects, even at a young age. She was always happiest with her. She didn't make many friends, with her hectic schedule of studying, schooling and working. Even at a young age, she was intelligent and cunning. Which she further cultivated, in order to aid Linda.


But Linda was doomed from the beginning. There was no way to pay such a hefty debt, and suffered greatly for it. Eventually the debt collectors beat her savagely, leaving her to rot in the sewers. Her body was never found again. The debt collectors took everything she owned, including their small house and garden. Aliana was devastated and alone, she had no one left. It was only in her rage that she discovered her hidden magic, the ability to form illusions in her victim's mind. Whether it be an angry beast based off a rat in the same location or a wall that she created, she practiced this skill, in order to survive in the cruel world that she lived in.



Eventually she came across a glamorous castle, which angered her greatly. 'If they have so much money, why don't they share it with those who need it?' rage boiled within her, especially as she watched wealthy nobles abandon barely nibbled pieces of food. In a reckless rage, she snuck into the castle and began to explore it, seeing what she could steal. However, as she stumbled upon an alarm system, with her skills dulled by her anger, she was pondering her actions in an attempt to escape as an arm pulled her away. She was brought through tunnels, crevices, holes until the kidnapper had finally reached their location. Unexpectedly, she was saved by them, as more orphans filled her view. She decided to stick with them, in order to survive. Eventually, she became very close to her fellow orphans, and couldn't imagine a life without them.





*Personality*

Aliana appears very calm and nonchalant, however she can be hot-tempered, but only if the cause in question is something she cares about. She never hesitates to do a dirty deed, even murder. Despite how cold she is with strangers, to the few she cares about, she would do anything for. She even feeds them before herself, even though she is much thinner and more starved than they are. Normally, she doesn't smile or laugh, especially out in public.




*Fighting*

Aliana isn't an open fighter, preferably using her stealth and speed to swiftly take out her target, accompanied with the element of surprise. She has high agility, stealth and flexibility, able to dodge and jump high in the air. But, in exchange for these skills, she has low defense and stamina. This is mostly caused by her hunger, which she has become numbed to. She requires naps regularly, in exchange for her lack of nutrients from food.




*Magic*

Her power comprises of being able to create illusions in her victim's mind. This can range from an object to an actual being, but the latter requires much more energy, as she needs to control the monster's actions as well. She cannot create a being out of thin air, like she can with an object. She must base it off something, such as a creepy shadow or rat nearby. Fighting whilst creating an illusion is out of the question, like controlling two bodies at once. Usually she teams up with another orphan, and whilst they distract, she causes the enemy to go mad.

background: uzoma hasn't lived as an orphan for much of their life, actually. their father, a thief, had already gotten himself arrested by the time uzoma was born. as a result, they ended up living up with both their mother and their grandmother. growing up, the family never had much money at all. uzo's mother and grandmother were doctors of sorts, underqualified but doing what she could to help those with little or no money to speak of. uzo's mother had no natural gift for magic, so uzo's grandmother collaborated with what she knew to try and help fill in the gap.


they were largely magnanimous - they treated many who could not otherwise afford to pay them anything, and turned no one away, and as a result, they were well beloved, if often in poverty themselves. in a way, their fame among the poor of dendra was a double-edged sword - because everyone knew of their location and the lack of an adult male presence in their household, they were occasionally a target for having their possessions stolen and ransacked. on the same coin, they were beloved, and the community always gave what little they had to ensure they could build themselves back up to a place where they could at least eat and sleep and treat patients. uzo's grandmother told them often, that was enough, and together, they strived to teach uzo what they knew.



when uzo was ten, though, their neighborhood had become worse then it had ever been. the tensions between thieves had increased to a fever pitch, and uzo watched as their guardians were threatened in their own home. 'if you treat that woman again, you'll need treatment yourself you old bat,' uzo clearly remembers hearing this one night, crying as they watched a thief grip their grandmother's throat way too tightly. they tried to push the criminal off their grandmother, but uzo was slammed into a wall for their trouble, leaving them with a scar they have to this day. after the confrontation, uzo's grandmother did her best to comfort them, but it left them both badly shaken, as well as uzo's mother, when she finally returned home.



despite the intimidation, the two still decided to treat patients together, defying the threats that had been made against them. uzo begged and begged them not to, but they both calmly told them often that this was the right thing to do, that they could not turn down someone who needed their help. 'besides,' uzo mother says, attempting to comfort them. 'it's just bravado, honey. nobody seriously expects them to make good on it.' ('if they did, they'd be damn fools! we're the only ones who'd be willing to treat them!' uzo's grandmother yelled from the other room, and uzo and their mother giggled softly to themselves once the conversation was finally put to rest.)



uzo was eleven when the day finally did come when someone was foolish enough to make good on their words. they don't remember the whole thing - they only remember hiding in the linen basket, trying to stifle their sobs. when it was over, uzo tried as hard as they could to treat their guardians' wounds, but there was just a great too many, too much blood and too much damage for an underprepared eleven year old to treat.



they went to their neighbors for help, and they agreed to hide uzo away for a short while, until they were no longer being looked for. they couldn't keep up the financial burden for very long, though, and since uzoma did not know enough about anyone to ask anyone else, they decided to decide to live on their own, with only themselves to depend on. they avoided eyes the eyes of adults where they could, learning from other kids their age how to take what they needed from others. in this way, they found a new home amongst other orphans, and grew to have a strong bond with them.



now sixteen, they have recently taken up their guardians' former medical practice again for the sake of their kin, still treating those with very little to give, but no longer those who have nothing to offer in return. their practice is not as big as their guardians', but word of mouth is spreading of the child, and slowly patients are coming back in.

personality: rough, aloof, confrontational. to those uzoma doesn't know well, they are incredibly unwelcoming. they are very distant and hard to talk to, even when they actively attempt to be accommodating. they seem to very much have an entrepreneur's mindset, feeling if they don't get something in return for their time, it isn't worth the effort. they are mostly seem emotionless and callous, but can be prone to sudden bouts of anger.


that's just their exterior, though. to those who know them, they are actually very friendly and kind. though they can still be a little oddly brusque and authoritative at times, they are usually very thoughtful and considerate of those who matter to them. in contrast to how they act towards others, they are very loyal towards their own and usually place their wellbeing over their own. they are creative, ingenuitive, and overall, very protective.

fighting ability/magic: they aren't particularly skilled with it in combat, but they own a dagger that belonged to their father at some point. their skills mostly lie in their medical knowledge, and the limited healing magic they know. it is strong enough to heal small cuts and bruises, but bigger cuts and lacerations will need stitches and still take some time to heal. however, their magic can effectively cut healing time in half, assuming the wound is perfectly prepared and all proper precautions are taken to prevent infection. that is no small feat, though, considering their means.

Phew, good job. It was kind of tough to read that cause I kept getting confused as to whether "they" referred to Uzo or Uzo's family xD but that should be no problem in the actual roleplay at all

Occupation/Class: Orphan

Personality: Rosenkreuz opts to portray himself closer to a sarcastic misanthrope rather than an extroverted nice guy. While he is close with and deeply protective of his fellow orphans, particularly the younger ones, he is often outright brutish towards most other people, and does not hesitate to use the full extent of his wit. In fact, his sharp tongue has gotten him into trouble with the Royal Guards on more than a few occasions.

Description of Appearance: Rosenkreuz is a young man with roguish features and dark hair, often caught with a shadow of stubble upon his jaw and chin. Bolted over his right eye socket is a patch or red leather, with what appears to be a fanged mouth upon its surface. Leading from his left nostril to left earlobe is a nose chain, each link comprised of a different metal. He often wears a simple garb, consisting of trousers, a tunic, and a jacket, with a single pauldron of armor on his left shoulder.

Fighting Ability: Rosenkreuz is a moderately capable hand-to-hand combatant, and often carries a knife, with which he as capable of fighting melee or throwing.

Magic: Rosenkreuz possesses an item called the "Eye of Iphrit," contained by the patch over his right socket. When the fanged aperture opens, it unleashes a powerful jet of flame, hot enough to redden metal and cremate flesh.

Background: Rosenkeuz grew up alongside the other orphans, living in secret. However, when he was thirteen, one of the older orphans, Christian, was killed due to an incident with the guards. Haunted by this, Rosenkreuz became jaded, and made a vow to become strong enough to stop such an event from occurring ever again. This was what galvanized him to obtain the Eye of Iphrit.

Background:Lucian was hated by his mother when his blue eyes turned golden brown when he was a baby calling him a child of misfortune due to her belief in witchcraft. She believed that it meant something horrible would happen to her family and most importantly, her fortune. He was given to his aunt as trash to do whatever she pleased. His aunt ended up treating him like a servant and would often tell him to do the housework or charm her business partners. She always gave him cold food when he wasn't in the eyes of another noble. When he was four, he became best friends with a pup without his aunts knowledge and would often sneak out. The dog was the one who saved him from death when a bunch of noble hating peasants burned down the place when he was asleep. Barely was he able to go through the garbage shoot to escape. It reaffirmed his mother's hate for him whether he knew it or not as around the time her husband also left her.


He left the house then and began to navigate the street almost being swiped up by a number of people who thought he could sell for a huge sum of coins due to his exotic aristocrat features.He lived on what he could find and was given a purple scarf by a kind old man who took pity on him. From then on, he barely got through a day and became sick. He survived though but only due to a group of orphans finding him when he was six. The boy sometimes goes off on his own and tries to give past the ability of his continued frail body.


Personality: Lucian does not trust easy and often can see behind someone's mask. He is a self conscious child who gets uncomfortable at displays of affection that are above a pat. He smiles only when he isn't busy trying to be mature and adult-like or if he is caught off guard. The boy has an excellent poker face and trying not to be trouble he pretends not to want anything. Often times, he loves cute things and likes to make people feel warm in the heart due to his kind nature that he attempts to bury to survive.The boy can be calculatedly reckless but he is actually quite quick-witted which makes up for his size. Above all else he is scared of being neglected or left behind especially due to what he was told of his mother.


Fighting Ability/Magic: Can use daggers pretty decently, fast runner, excellent escape skills and limited manipulation magic that only works on those caught off guard( could become stronger)

Occupation/Class: Apprentice Healer in the palace.

Background: Afya was brought to the castle as a child, and raised by the servents there. When a boy tripled and cut his leg, Afya on instinct started to heal him with her hands over the wound. Soon she was named the apprentice of the Healer at the age of seven. Ever sense then she has lived in the small cottage right next to the palace, surrounded by herbs and vegatables that grow there.

Personality: Afya is quiet, and observant. Curious and hungry for adventures, Afya often wanders the palace and the near by areas. Testing the limits of her power and knowledge of herbs, Afya is trying to see if she could even return someone the ability to walk, see, or even hear again. Afya always asks many questions when she finds something or someone new.

Fighting Ability/Magic: Afya holds a simple healing magic, which so far cannot heal broken bones, but can help speed the process slightly, amd close some wounds.

She also was taught to use a quarterstaff to defend herself, but only simple tactics.​

personality
personality: elianys is loud, capricious, and pompous. she's very opinionated, and speaks in a flamboyant and grandiloquent manner, as such to leave her subordinates either in amazement or in frustration. she is by no means ignorant though. she may speak in a fantastical and seemingly overblown way, but make no mistake - she (usually) knows what is she's talking about and she can make a compelling argument out of seemingly nothing.


in a way, you might call her charismatic, but it is plainly obvious she makes no effort to be appealing. she can be crass, but she is by no means vulgar - she'll run circles around you with her tongue and keep in top form doing it. that is to say, that while she empress is certainly a very loud and chaotic presence in her court, she knows how to conduct herself in order to keep the proper respect owed to her position in check. that doesn't mean she's particularly well liked for it, though. she's been charmingly dubbed her father's daughter, the mad empress elia, and she's charmingly insisted that anyone caught using that name will get charged with treason.



among those in her close company, she is surprisingly a little more modest. though she carries herself in such a grandiose way, in private company she can be rather soft-spoken and delicate about herself. it a sign of respect given to very few, but their number include the emperor. even among them, though, for as bold as she seems, she is actually quite secretive and private about her private life, and she limits her conversation to politics and the affairs of others.
fighting/magic
fighting ability/magic: elianys is a more than capable magician in her own right. her magic is just as extravagant as her speech, beautiful and gold, light-orientated. offensively, she can summon spears of light, but they take time to summon and aim, and an ability to calculate very well her opponent's moves, which makes it harder and harder for her depending on how quick they are. she can summon small, easy to aim and quick to summon spears, but they are incredibly thin and can't do much damage if many don't manage to hit.


on the defensive side of things, she can easily pull up a thick barrier of light in front of herself, or a thinner variant among herself and one of two others. the barrier of light might be nearly impervious at it's smallest form, covering just herself, but the larger it is, the more susceptible it is to continued damage, and it is simply unsustainable to keep up forever, taking concentration and a sufficient pool of magic. while the empress is generally proficient at magic and has a lot to spare, constant attacks against the barrier will take her it's toll on her and make it harder to keep up, at low levels causing it to falter for seconds at a time, and with no magic at all, failing completely, leaving her vulnerable to attack. additionally, while she could conceivably keep a barrier and summon spears at the same time, it would be incredibly hard and largely ineffective - to run the barrier requires concentration, to summon and aim the spears take concentration, and she couldn't feasibly do both well at the same time.



mostly, though, she just uses her magic for aesthetic. she likes to practice by carving small, detailed pieces of art out of the golden light. it's a hat trick she likes to show foreign dignitaries, sometimes.

You can do that. However, you will be the only dwarf in the story and no one else should know that you are a dwarf and what even a dwarf is (they'll just think you are short). Dwarfs will not be one of the main races, which are human and elves.

not sure what you mean by sub-human...


I mean to say that the only two races anybody in the story knows about are human and elves. While vampire are treated as just a rare occurence or disease (you only get vampire from getting bitten anyway), and people don't even know dwarves exist
