Fantasy Hexerei: Realm of Daemons (Character Sign-ups)

Welcome to the Hexerei Realm of Daemons character thread.

Characters will all be stored here for future reference, but before we begin character creation there are certain, very important rules to follow.

Characters that are FULL daemon are limited. ONLY 2 slots are open. 1 is already reserved. In order to make your character a full Daemon you must call the spot and reserve it that way. Then we must.discuss through Messaging the abilities of your Daemon's race. All Daemon characters will be humanoid in some form.
As a full Daemon, i may request you to help me i troduce. knowledge and plot points as we go. All Daemon characters also were experimented on in the lab... Meaning none are just *in*.the daemon realm.

Beyond this, everyone has their backstory and reasoning for being at the lab. Whether reporters, mercenaries, or adventurers... Everyone is there for their own reasoning.

And everyone has very unique powers. Powers will have an elemental affinity out of this list: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Dark, Light, Electricity, Ice, Pure Magic and Physical.

Physical is not a real element, but instead a way to.describe the lack of any real "magic". Pure magic is affinityless Magic.

An ability also can have Dual affinity.

Abilities will atune themselves to your character's likes, dislikes, and personality. This will determine their battle style and typically how the power functions.
Abilities are granted by crystals made of the blood of daemons. This can be because of wearing rings or jewelry of some kind. It can also be because you attatch crystals to an existing object to enhance it.
The only other way is by having Daemon blood injected into you. This slowly converts the blood into Daemon blood, except if it leaves the body it *always* crystalizes. Powers granted by Daemon Blood in liquid form typically involve crystal weaponry made of the blood,.and enchancements to these weapons.

All forms of power besides attatchments to other objects enchance abilities of the user to be in line with the powers you are granted.
Powers can range from Flame Control to Throwing Strawberry Grenades and growing plant-life.

Character Name: Revalia "Snapshot" Stone

Race: Asian (Japan)

Personality traits: Revalia is a kind and gentle person. She is an optimist and tries to look on the brighter sides of most situations.
She has an itch for discovering new and interesting things and a thirst to see what the world has. She's curious and adventurous, never restricting herself from going where she wants when she wants to. Sometimes this mixes her into some bad places, and she's seen a few fights. Despite this her cheerful attitide has always stayed just that. Cheerful.

Likes: Photography, Writing articles, Blogging

Dislikes: Pitch Black spaces. She has Claustrophobia as well.

Backstory : Revalia was always fascinated by things as a child and loved to explore outside and talk with people to learn about them. She had always taken a major interest in science studies too and often found herself in her adult years reporting on scientific discoveries. She was well renowned in the business as having a sharp mind and a keen eye, as her photographs and writing were second to none in her industry.

Catching wind of this during a new scientific breakthrough, the people of the Hexerei Military based saw this and decided to offer her an opportunity to report on their findings and study under them. Eith glee she accepted, quitting her job at her home city and leaving for the base.

Upon reaching there, the scientists had just discovered the rift,and asked if Revalia would take pictures inside of the world. Skeptical... She went in and, lo and behold they weren't lying to her. She immediately snapped photos and left back for the base. The issue was... Her photos looked fragmented and distorted.she tested her camera and everything was fine, so she was upset and rather dissapointed.

However,upon seeing the scientists cutting the gems into various shapes, she requested they make her a lens. They assumed she had sound reasonings, and decided to do so, which led to a breakthrough. The lens made real world pictures fragmented and broken... But pictures taken in the Riftrealms now properly apeared. It was bitter-sweet for Revalia... But she was still happy about the new opportunity she had. Excited by all the possibilities, Revalia decided to stay with them all to study this world.

Power Name: Battle Snap

Power Category(ies): Light

Power description/uses/abilities:
Battle snap is a very unique ability in that it is the only power which can record data on Daemons for outside world use. When a daemon has it's picture taken by the user, all information about it that is possible for the crystals to read is shown. Not every daemon is as readable as others, so details are sometimes foggy or even just missing. Despite this,it is still a powerful tool as she can record this in the beastiary and call out potential weaknesses of the Daemon's she and her team are fighting.
Aside from this, the ability is fairly lackluster. She shoots energy spheres from the camera lens that travel and deal light-based damage. On occasion she can do a snapshot temporarily blind the enemy. In dark areas she can use shutter and strobe lighting effects with the camera to allow for visibility.
Its in battle potential isn't much, but it is a helpful tool for her allies to know they can utilize.

WORK IN PROGRESS​

Name: Jörg "Schwarzwelt" Anton Strauss

Gender/Sex: Cis Male

Age: 28 years old

Race: European (German)

Appearance: Jörg stands at an even 1.8 meters tall, with a rather thin build that one might at first glance think lacked physical prowess, particularly for someone who'd been in the military for most of a decade. However, he is an excellent marathon runner with peak human endurance and agility, and it shows when properly sized up. It is true, however, that his raw muscle power is mediocre at best. He is typically seen wearing aluminum framed glasses made to compensate for his left astigmatism.

Background: Jörg enlisted in the military straight out of school. Being the lightest of his platoon in basic, the other cadets often picked on him at first. They learned quite quickly not to underestimate his wit and intellect, finding themselves subject to silly pranks and confounding conspiracies, eventually culminating in his most persistent rival's dishonorable discharge shortly after he entered specialist training for security and recon. Everyone but their D.I. knew it was him, but no one could prove anything, thus he eventually became 'invisible' after a fashion.

As fate would have it, he was eventually assigned to the RiftLabs facility as First Sergeant of a scout marksmen squad, where he would have his first encounter with Daemons. In a cataclysmic breach of containment, his squad and several research personnel were slaughtered. He would have fallen with them, were it not for the medbay team's last resort decision to inject him with a solution containing Daemon blood, rendering him one of the earliest test subjects for the procedure.

After several months of recovery, isolated testing (the blood gave him an unnaturally powerful healing factor for some time, but appears to have become inert or dormant), and after an honorable discharge from his formally ranked position in the service, Jörg reluctantly deigned to join the team in lieu of serving as a guinea pig for the rest of his life. In light of his new position with the research team, he was cleared to enhance an item with Daemon blood. He chose the lenses of his new glasses. He found that his glasses now allowed him to see in darkness with superman clarity, while rendering sunlight blinding and somewhat painful.

Name Jassara Suun

Age 27

Race African American

Background This was her job. Born into a family that served the government in many ways, it was only right that she followed suit. Her path led her too the tougher side of things. Seeing how, at a young age, she always found herself in fights her parents decided she would be most useful in the military. Once of age, she was shipped off, too undergo rigorous training, shut off from friends and family alike for 4 years.

When she returned, all that anger had been reformed, making her one of the most lethal operatives produced. From there, she began her service. Being used as a tool, from stealth missions, taking a target down, capturing someone for interrogations, she did as she was told. So when these rifts were discovered, it was a no brainer she was called too serve. They wanted her front and center, reporting on all that went down. At least that’s what she thought when she received her orders. What she found out when she reported for duty struck fear in her heart. Jassara was too be used in an experiment too see how the Daemon’s blood reacted too a human host when injected. She would be their first trial , and hopefully not error.

All she remembers is excruciating pain, but doesn’t remember much else. When she finally woke, she felt no different, besides a pounding headache. But after a few days, when the scientists decided too see how she reacted too being in the rift, her changes became noticeable. Her senses heightened immensely. She was quicker, stronger, her reflexes were amazing. She had more stamina and gained her Fade. The scientists also discovered, if enough blood was shed, her’s also crystallized outside of her body and she could control the shape, making two long sword like crystals.

Personality Outspoken, slow too trust, and brutally honest. She doesn’t mind ruffling any feathers. Her military training has taught her too control her anger, but her temper is still lingering in the background. Extremely loyal too those she deams worthy. Despite some of the work she’s had too preform, she hates dishonesty with a passion. Once you betray her, you’re good as dead. She’s calculating, and rather see how things unfold before she throws herself into something.

Power Description. With some concentration, she can manipulate the shadows too her will. She can fade into them for cover as well. She can also use her Blood Swords, but tries not too, for she must shed a decent amount of blood too create them. The amount of blood loss strains her stamina reserves.

Species: Terrene Daemon (Terrestrial/Earth Daemon)
Personality traits: Due to the constant lab testing and her past it is very hard for her to get close to people, she is very cold and distant to all the people around her, including friends. In the rare times she does make friends, she acts like she does not care for them, but if she sees them get hurt she becomes very protective of them. Always very aggressive towards any workers at the lab, she will do whatever she can to inconvenience them, by putting them in dangerous situations, trickery, letting out other Daemons, really any dangerous or mischievous thing you can think of, she has tried.
Appearance: A very pale tall girl with a permanent frown. She has almost white shoulder length hair, pointed ears, and large bright green eyes. She would look like a normal human if she did not have gray horns curling back behind her ears. This is the most human form she can take, she does not like reveal her true form.
Likes: Knowledge, Solitude, High Temperatures, Horror, Astronomy, Spicy Food, Mischief, and War.
Dislikes: Being weak, Scientists, Bananas, Being in Crowds, Cold Temperatures, Loud Noises, and Dirt.

Power description/uses/abilities: Able to manipulate the Earth with her hammer, making it shift into different shapes, projectiles, and allowing it to rise and fall.
