Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

A shiver went down his spine when she used that tone. He took it back. She's totally creepy. But she provided satisfying answers, so she was still good in his book. He lowered his arm, and put his hands onto his legs in fists. "I see." At least she kept cool. Whenever he had questioned teachers in his past, they'd always give him a look saying "Who do you think you are?", and he'd gotten used to it, but he could deal with this.

He guessed this is what passed for magic. He never really understood all of it, but he'd heard things about magic. Magic was one of those things he was really interested in, and chosing between Meditation and Focus, and the history class was hard. Eventually his lazy side had taken over, but he considered occasionally asking the other teacher for a short lesson in this and that. He was pretty surprised at himself. He never cared about school before! Maybe this was just his "thing". Yeah, that'd be nice.

A smile spread across his face. "Sounds good, teach. Let's do it."

(no alerts here either..seriously.. -.-)

Emma was sitting in her seat and she heard Liam to take notes and stuff. Obviously, since emma wouldnt know where she'd be writing, she decided to let the words go into her ears and her powers do all the writing for her. It was the easiest way for her. If she wrote with her hand..well...the desk would be covered in words and she wouldnt want to be yelled at by the teacher.

"So making our auras stronger will make our powers stronger," Maria repeated quietly, her head turned toward Crysta. How is this going to benefit my power specifically? She tried hard not to let her mind wander so she could focus on what the professor was going to say next. I'll ask her after class, so everyone else doesn't start asking about how it would help them, too. For a fact, Maria knew that would have been annoying and terribly loud.

"Sounds good, teach. Let's do it," Geno stated in a tone that seemed to be tainted by pride. I couldn't agree more, Maria thought.

So a shy aura didn't necessarily mean a shy person. That was interesting. Connecting with herself spiritually would make her stronger? She supposed she'd need that if she was ever going to survive at this school... The only reason she'd taken Basic Combat 101 was that she figured she'd be even less useful in Basic Healing and Protection 101... Suddenly, Leo remembered what Professor Chime had said to her earlier. How she was going to gain much from this class, or something to that effect. She wondered what she'd meant when she'd said that... The redhead decided she'd ask later, when there were less people around. Maybe... If Professor Chime had a moment to spare later...

~Professor Crysta Chime~

The professor smiled at her students as they silently wondered about what she had said, and she continued, "Now, tonight's homework is very simple...all you need to do, is relax. Maybe light some incense, I'll give you some if you want it. Lay on you bed or sit on the floor or in a chair, whatever's the most comfortable. Close your eyes, and focus on your breathing and nothing else. This is simple meditation, if you have any hopes in strengthening your aura, you must become very good at it. Sitting, without moving, with absolute patience..."

She smiled slightly, and tilted her head.

"And that is all for today! Have a nice evening, and enjoy yourselves at the student party tonight." she smiled, standing up. "Please blow out the incense in front of you before you leave."

~Professor Liam DiFranco~

Liam DiFranco was really getting into his lesson, scrawling pictures of different monsters on the chalkboard and writing out the names of different types with amazing speed. No normal person could keep up with what he was doing, because after about five minutes, he'd completely fill up the board and then erase it, starting all over again without seeing if the students were ready to move on.

"And so THAT my students is a basic history of monsters and the basics of--"

Liam turned around, looking at the blank stares of his students. His eye twitched slightly as he realized that he'd done it again. Sighing, the teacher said, "I'm sorry...we'll go over this again tomorrow - slower."

Liam grabbed the stack of homework sheets that he had printed out for that night's assignment and started to pass them out.

"I expect this to be completed by tomorrow. It's not hard, just a few questions. Make sure to be descriptive, I want to make sure I give each of you the best learning experience I can."

Stopping in front of Veronica's desk, the man handed her three sheets and said, "I understand you will be seeing Lyra at the student council meeting, and hopefully Johnathon will still be with her. Can you give them these?"

Crossing his arms, he said, "And that concludes today's class. I'll see you all tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your day!"

Instructions: Answer each question the best you can. Be descriptive!

Emma gathered the paper and folded it, putting it into her pocket. Getting up from her seat. She waited for everyone to leave the room before she showed the teacher her problem with her eyes. She took a deep breath and stood there, trying to think of what to do during this so-called 'free time'. Maybe she could just go and rest. Maybe get her homework done before her roommates go into that room and decide to stick in there. At least I dont need to be stressed..

Nichole took her paper and ran out like a bullet. She picked up a chocolate trail and she was gonna follow it. Nichole felt like singing today for some reason. "Why do I have the feeling I forgot something?" She asked herself. Nichole sniffed and ran following the smell.

Kouji made his way out of the library to get a soda or something. He hummed his glasses in his pocket. "Ah I wonder what magnificent students I shall meet today?" He then crashed into a girl. "Oof my bad let me hel-" he got a good look at her. "IMUTO YOUR HERE!!!!" BAM! "I missed you so much!!!!!!" Nuzzling Nichole.

Nichole flailed and coughed. "WAH! ONNII-CHAN GET OFF! AH! HEY YOUR CRUSHING ME HERE! GIMME MY CHOCOLATE I KNOW YOU HAVE SOME!" grabbing a chocolate bar off him. She smiled nomming cutely. Kouji went to his emo tree and cried. "My imuto doesnt love me anymore!!! She only loves the chocolate! "Being over dramatic.

Calista grin and just nodded, a bit confused what Veronica meant by "a very long time" shrugging her shoulders, she just thought Veronica meant by a few years or so, not knowing that Veronica was much different from her. Turning her attention to Prof Difranco as he returned only to clean off the desk that had Lyra's blood on and his strange ways, was looking like some janitor of some kind. After wrapping up the desk as if it was a dangerous threat to him, he returned to his place and started the lesson, ordering them to take some notes on this.

Obeying his orders, Calista placed Kuro on the ground, Kuro pouting but took the time to take a nap since Calista was busy, and pulled out her notebook decorated in colorful stickers of pandas and taking a pencil with s rabbit eraser at the top, a very cute combo to take her notes with. Opening to a fresh page, Calista started to quickly write down every word that Professor Difranco spoke of, how there were different kinds of monsters and how each one was different from one another.

Calista wasn't quite sure what the Professor was speaking of since she never encountered a "monster" or "beast" in her life. She had lived among humans for so long, hiding her powers and only ever using it when it was really needed. The word monster could describe some of the students here, being told by many just because they were a little "different" and "strange". Calista understood that well, being told she was a monster when she first showed her powers, a bad mistake on her part. Chased away by the others because the y fear her. She was able to take control of anyone as long with her eyes, whenever she did, her eyes would turn blood red and just like Medusa, she would have full control over the person's form.

Though she was able to do this, she could only control at a maximum of 5 people, if she ever took control of more than that, it would feel like her brain could explode and whenever she did this, she would sometimes get amnesia but luckily it wouldn't affect her too long. The amount of memories she loses depend on how much brain power she used just to take control over 5 people. She could also get a high fever with it as well as having amnesia, so many bad effects that could occur using her powers.

Shinji just laughed softly under his mask at Blake being so gullible to believe he would even do it such a thing. What under this mask was gonna stay under until Shinji felt that Blake seemed the trustworthy enough for him to show. Next thing Shinji didn't believe would happen, Blake, secretary of the student council and looked up to by many had fallen into Shinji's grasps just like that. Agreeing to play with Shinji's game to see what under his mask, Shinji just sitting there in disbelief.

No one really ever tried getting close to him, only Calista was the bravest out of the many to step up though being known as a cowardly girl who can't stand up for herself. Placing his index finger the chin part of his mask, Shinji closed his eyes, a small smile formed along his lips. The thought that Blake was willing to get close to him made Shinji pleased,"Hmm... then better try harder Mr.Secretary because I'm not easy to break." Shinji warned, getting up from the benches and patted Blake's head, fluffing his blazing red hair a bit,"Well I'll see you later Blake." Shinji said, letting Blake go and walking off to go find Calista and Kuro.

----------------------

Calista learned something about Professor Difranco, that he quick to teach... VERY quick. Taking the notes was very hard for Calista, her hand already hurting after writing half of what Professor Difranco wrote and just when she was about to finish, he had erased everything in a blink of an eye, Calista's jaw dropping slightly,"S-so fast?! Is he even teaching us?!" Calista thought, dropping her pencil and sighed, she had been holding her breath since she took the notes, now finally able to breathe normally.

Being given her homework for the day, Calista just stuffed the paper in her bag along with her notebook. Picking up the sleeping Kuro into her arms, the cat too tired to even bother waking up and just snuggled into Calista's arms, happy to be in her warm embrace,"Seems class is over." Calista thought and took Kuro with her out the room, waving goodbye to Veronica as she left,"Hmm... I wonder what we should do?" Calista said, looking around for something to entertain her for a bit.

Maria sat up and blew out her incense. "Sorry, I need to go - I have something I want to ask the teacher... I'll see you later, maybe." Maria stood up and walked over to Professor Chime. "Miss, if it's at all possible, I would like to know how this class will help my power specifically. I know that this class will benefit me, but if you can tell me any specifics, it would be greatly appreciated." Maria paused for a moment, wondering if she had forgotten anything. "Oh, but if you don't want to tell me you don't have to," She added hastily.

Geno blew out the incense, and stood up. That sounded like pretty simple homework. Or maybe no, he thought as he remembered the last time someone tried to make him meditate. 13 year old him and a chinese monk, hired by his family to "exorcise" him through meditation or something. The man himself wasn't a bad guy, but rebellious teenage Geno decided that calling him a "Stuck-up old balding zenhead" would cause a fun chain of events. It didn't. Memories of that day still sent shivers down his spine. Eugh.

He left the room, and started slowly walking down the hallway. "Wait, what do I do now?" He hadn't even considered what he was going to do now. Maybe go back to the dorms and start trying to meditate already? Eh. Too soon, got to find something else to do. He kept roaming about for a while, until he accidently stumbled upon the Otherworld History classroom. He looked inside and saw the teacher and a couple of students still around.

"Eh, what the hell." He thought to himself. He entered and approached the violently abused chalkboard. "Maybe it was a good thing I didn't go here anyway.." He thought with a sarcastic grin. He turned to the teacher. "Hello.. Teacher.." The teacher part of the sentence came out quite awkwardly, when he realized he didn't remember his name. "I really got to get better with names...." He thought.

"I'm not actually a part of your class, as you might know, but I have some interest in the Otherworld. If you could redirect me to a book, or something I could get from the library, I would very much appreciate that."

Leaning forward, Leo closed her eyes and took a slow breath in before she blew out the incense in front of her. She didn't get up, however, just continued to sit there, thinking, and waited for Maria to be finished speaking with Professor Chime. She did her best not to hear anything that was said, in case it was a private matter, and let her thoughts wander. She decided that she would ask for some incense while she was here... She quite liked the peaceful feeling the smell of burning incense gave her...

Mars' hand was writing furiously, noting down every detail that Liam would write down before he would erase it. He had some experience in this class, so he was able to get everything that was put on the board before it was erased. When the class ended, Mars let out a long breath, rotating his wrist and packing up his things. "Well, thanks for the great lesson, professor! See you tomorrow!" He waved to the teacher, picking up his homework and things and exiting the class.

Since there was free time, he could do a number of things. There was homework to work on, so he could finish that. Or he could start practicing his new technique with his power. Mars pulled out his evaluation sheet that he received in healing, looking at the person who he would be protecting. "Maybe I should go meet this person now, get to know what they can do and how I can work with that."

As he began to fold up the paper to put away, he noticed another name beside his in protection. Did he miss it before? Looking at the name, he crumpled up the paper in his right hand. "Great. Not only am I stuck in protection, but I have to work with the smoker. I just hope that this Leona is very skilled." Sighing, he pushed his paper back into his pocket and headed to the meditation room. There was a chance she would be here, since she wasn't in history.

"Maybe I should go check up on Lyra, see if she's okay." Mars pondered this for a moment, then continued walking. "She will be fine. Desk injuries were a specialty of hers. Besides, Johnathan was with her, so-" Mars suddenly started walking faster towards the meditation room. When he arrived, he slightly entered the room, then upon seeing the teacher stepped back outside, still slightly afraid he had an evil aura he didn't know of. Thinking fast, Mars pulled out a piece of paper, writing Leona on it. He stood out of the door holding the paper. Hopefully, she would see the paper when she left the class and talk to him.

Killua just sat and watched. He held a laugh in. "Does anyone want to race after school?" Killua asked. Killua needed a challenge of some sort.

Nichole finished her chocolate and said"onnii-chan when did you get here?" Blinking. she walked over and got him up from the tree. "I got here a few months ago remember?" Kouji said hugging her. "Oh.."Nichole nodded and hhugged back. "I missed you so much!!!" They said at the same time crying.

"So imuto wanna dance for old times sake?" Kouji said smiling. "Sure!" Nichole said and they went to find the music room.

Nichole found it and smiled putting down her radio."ok first lets get changed." Kouji said"meetcha back here in a few!" Before jogging off to the bathroom. Nichole went to her dorm and changed into some capries and a tank top with her tennis shoes and fingerless gloves.

ATTENTION! Some more changes have been made to the Collaboration pairings, and a few to the BOYS Dorm Roommates!

~Lyra~

"Lyra, calm down! Please Lyra."

Upon hearing the words, Lyra quieted, almost not able to stop herself from looking up in surprise. He hadn't yelled at her, but the harsh tone in his voice did shock her. She looked down, about to utter another apology, when he gently turned her to face him. When he said her name again, her expression softened considerably after he countered his own harshness, realizing that he probably didn't mean for his previous words to come out like they did. It was a little awkward standing like that, being so close to him. He still had his hands on her, probably to be sure she didn't do something stupid like walk into a brick wall, but she kept her hands clasped at her chest...part of her felt like she shouldn't touch him, that he would get angry.

The other part of her didn't care.

As he spoke to her, she said nothing, fixing her eyes on a point between his eyes so she wouldn't say something stupid if she looked at them. She listened carefully, smiling and frowning when he did. She took in what he was saying, and only felt worse about what happened. She had to use all of her willpower not to apologize to him again.

"The question of the day is, are you alright?"

Lyra blinked at him, and then smiled. There was nobody around except them, and he expressed such concern for her, proving that he at least cared a little bit about her...

Take THAT, Mars Porter!

She looked at her hip, which honestly looked worse than when it was fresh. The large bruise around the cut was starting to show signs of blue and purple, and Lyra had a feeling that the bruise was going to hurt more than the cut. She could live with a scratch, at least they don't really hurt once you slap a bandaid on them. Bruises, on the other hand, just felt like death and misery every time someone actual brushed against it.

"I'll survive." she smiled, looking back up at him. "I won't lie, it's really painful...but I think I'll live. Haha, how pathetic am I? Some students might get an injury like this in Basic Combat 101 by being attacked by a monster...but me? I got attacked by a desk."

She laughed at her own words as she said them. She didn't care if nobody laughed at her comments, she thought she was hilarious.

With that, the two continued on their way to the infirmary, which happened to be all the way on the other side of campus. After a lot of walking, the two reached the infirmary.

Lyra almost regret not seizing the opportunity to dramatically cling to him on their walk, but shrugged it off. The two walked into the infirmary, and Lyra said sheepishly, "Good afternoon, Ms Longstorm."

Without looking up from the documents she was reading (no doubt the medical files of all of the new students), the nurse said, "What was it this time? Wall, desk, or plate glass window?"

Lyra's eye twitched with annoyance at the lady's words. Lyra had been to the infirmary so many times, always with little injuries caused by her own clumsiness. The injuries usually centered around the three things Ms Longstorm said, and it became sort of a habit for the nurse to just ask Lyra which one of the three she had crashed into. Usually, Lyra would awkwardly tell her, but never had she been annoyed by it. Maybe it was because the teacher had just made it obvious to Johnathon that this wasn't the first time she had done something like this by listing the three things she walked into on a regular basis. Surprisingly, all of this little accidents didn't cause any scars. Thankfully the girl was a fast healer.

Lyra hesitated to answer, glancing up at Johnathon. She sighed, and finally grumbled, "Desk."

Ms Longstorm looked up, and smirked, "I know. Liam called and told me."

The girl cringed, and growled, "Then why did you ASK ME?"

Ms Longstorm was about to answer when she looked up, noticing Johnathon for the first time. She lowered her glasses at the picture.

"Oh, Lyra, you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend!" she grinned, standing up. She approached them and crossed her arms. "He's pretty cute...hey, if it doesn't work out between--"

Lyra gasped and her face turned a shade of red that she didn't think existed.

"Ms Longstorm!" Lyra squeaked, squirming slightly. "It's not like that! He....he was just helping me here because I busted my hip open! AND DON'T HARASS HIM! He's not my...my boyfriend. Well, he's a boy who's my friend, but not my boyfriend - oh just forget it."

Lyra buried her burning face in her hands as the nurse snickered.

"I'm only kidding, Lyra, sheesh." she smiled.

The infirmary was actually pretty small. The tiny office was connected to three others rooms by thin, green curtains. Two of the rooms were basic first aid stations to patch up small wounds, and the other was a room where very ill students could spend the night.

Taking Lyra by the hand, she gently pulled her towards one of the rooms. She stopped, then looked back at Johnathon.

"Liam told me you were very ill, and highly contagious..." she smirked, knowing how the history teacher was. "After I'm finished with her, you can explain that to me, alright?"

The two disappeared behind the curtain, though you could clearly to what was going on through it by their dark and clear silhouettes.

"Lyra, he is pretty cute, ya know...and didn't you see the way he was blushing? OH, so cute!" the nurse gushed as she helped Lyra sit on the table. Of course, she spoke in a low voice that only the girl could hear. Looking at her wound, the nurse shook her head and asked, "How did you manage to do this wish a desk?"

Lyra frowned, and mumbled, "You don't need to make me feel worse about it."

Ms Longstorm held up her hands and said, "Stand down, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Lets see here...the cut isn't that deep, so you won't be needing any stitches. I just need to clean this and wrap it and you should be fine."

Walking away from the girl's table, the nurse reached up and opened a cabinet full of medical supplies. She grabbed what she needed, and then closed it. Setting down the supplies, she said, "Put your arms over your head."

Lyra did as she was told, and wasn't surprised when he shirt was pulled over her head. She didn't bother making a comment about it.

"Ooh...yeah, the bruises are going to hurt pretty bad for a couple of days. Just be careful, alright?" the nurse said as she examined the wound, expertly tossing the shirt into the washbasin behind her. She then poured some disinfectant on a cottonball, and warned, "This is going to sting, but only for a minute. I have to clean the cut so it doesn't get infected.

As Ms Longstorm started to brush the burning fluid onto the cut, Lyra let out a small cry. She couldn't help it. Her eyes stung with tears, but she wasn't going to cry. She came this far, didn't she?

After what seemed like ages, the nurse was finally done.

"All done, sweetie! Oh, I know it hurt, but don't cry. Please don't cry. I have a strict policy that nobody cries alone in my presence." the nurse soothed, rubbing Lyra's bare back.

"I'm NOT crying!" Lyra snapped, quickly rubbing her eyes. "My...uh...my eyes are sweating!"

"Of course, dear. Now just let me bandage this up and you'll be good to go." the nurse smiled as she pulled out a large, heavy duty bandage. As she was about to open it, Lyra stopped her and awkwardly stuttered, "D-do you think I...could get the one with the unicorns on it?"

Raising an eyebrow, the nurse put the bandage back and pulled out a hot pink one with white unicorns sprinkled across it. She opened it, and as she was placing it over the cut, she asked, "Don't you think you're boyfriend will think it's a little childish that you still ask for unicorn bandages?"

"NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"

"Right...well, you're all done." she smiled, walking over to the washbasin. "Just give me a second to..."

In the blink of an eye, Lyra's shirt was all cleaned and patched up, like nothing had ever happen.

"Useful power, eh? I'd be a wonderful laundress." Ms Longstorm teased, handing the shirt to Lyra, who slide it back over her head and carefully got off of the table. The nurse cleaned up what she had used for Lyra, and said, "Will you send the cutie in?"

Lyra rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile. She walked out of the room and smiled at Johnathon.

"Alright, I guess you're next." Lyra smiled, taking on of the few chairs that were in the office.

((sorry for the ridiculously long post xD ))

[/QUOTE]
"Some students might get an injury like this in Basic Combat 101 by being attacked by a monster...but me? I got attacked by a desk."

Johnathon grimaced visibly at her words. Just the thought of the desk and her painful injury, which was looking worse every second, were not registering well with him. He did force a small smile though, and chuckled at the last bit, not wanting to upset Lyra. When Lyra's face screwed up into a frown, or drooped to a pout, John became anxious or worried. The boy was still oblivious to this fact - only his subconscious was picking it up - so the only awareness he possessed was akin to an extra sense, like a radar in the back of his head. It went off when Lyra was upset (it literally just had), but remained dormant when the case was otherwise.

"The desk was sharp," he commented, joking as much as he was being truthful. The desk was sharp. If it wasn't, John would be struck dumb. A girl couldn't possibly injure herself so from a blunt object now, could she? And then there was that ridiculous teacher. "Excuse me if I say our teacher was raised in an asylum," John said with a playful smirk. "He couldn't even stand to see you, I--" His sentence dropped abruptly short to a comic silence, as he reflected on just what his actions were. The situation was spur of the moment, but had he been too swift to act? Taking Lyra by the waist and hand had come instinctively, even though John had never offered support to a wounded person previously. So why the sudden urge . . .

His eyes lingered on her for just a moment. Not with lust, no, more like . . . an examination. The girl was . . . cute. Johnathon hated to admit it, but it was true! Lyra was really attractive. Then what are these thoughts, brooding over repeatedly in my head? he asked in confusion, shaking his head. Why do I feel indifferent towards her and the Student Council . . . yet don't at the same time? An awkward vibe fell over him. Crap, he thought, I was lost in thought again! He struggled to regain the conversation he had just lost, but couldn't remember who and what Lyra and he had been talking about. "Um, well . . . " A chuckle emitted from his mouth, awkward as ever one could be, followed by John scratching his head - lost. Now he was in a genuine panic, and not from Lyra's face either. Or was it? A genuinely horrifying thought spawned in his head. What if I was checking her out!?

"T-T-To the infirmary!!" His face bright red the minute the words left his mouth, John hurriedly grabbed Lyra and began down the hall, each footfall echoing in his head as troubled, embarrassed, and confused thoughts harassed his conscience. Out of all these thoughts, the most common was simply 'Crap!' Even now, he only longed to quicken their pace so this strange episode could be done and over with, but Lyra needed gentle treatment. Crap! he shrieked inwardly once more. He was alone with the student president, running through empty halls and corridors. There couldn't be a worse time to think of such things!

"Good afternoon, Ms Longstorm."

John did a quick 360. "Oh," he whispered quietly, realizing only now where they were. Being so caught up in his thoughts, he wondered how he had even managed to reach the infirmary. Logically it must have been Lyra, but now was not the time to think of logic. He hadn't none! Usually, so careless and blunt, these new feelings were . . . strange to him. And that was the most typical understatement ever made. However, thinking of how he'd normally act in this situation helped him to regain his composure. Or at least it did for a moment, before the nurse, that is, made a psyching comment.

"Oh, Lyra, you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend!"

A cringe up his spine, along with a cough, gave Johnathon a spin for the worst. Then the nurse was up from her chair, in front of him, and seemingly checking him out. How his hands nearly clenched into fists, and a longing desire to freeze the nurse's skirt almost made him do so. Lyra, however, was quick to save the day, unknowingly saving what would have become a slight disaster. He felt like he could be calm again when she started to speak, but as she continued to speak, what she said began to get worse and worse! Lyra, you're not helping! he groaned. The nurse's attention though, not surprisingly, turned to him again. In response to her comment, he only sarcastically smirked.

Once Lyra and the nurse were both out of sight, John pulled up a chair and sat down; automatically his body assumed a slumped posture. He heaved a sigh. "Quaint, yes," he murmured sarcastically looking around the infirmary. It was not a place he'd want to be again, if he could help it.

Some muttering could be heard from beyond the room Lyra and the obnoxious nurse disappeared into, but nothing audible. The unexpected were toying with Johnathon though, and he was almost getting used to it. That's why when, from the room, he heard Lyra shout, "NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" he wasn't totally surprised. He only sighed, placing his head between his legs.

Presently Lyra reappeared, cheerful and much better it seemed. It made Johnathon smile and feel glad. One worry out of the way at least, he sighed, before going in to see the nurse. He immediately got to the point. "So I coughed," he said flatly, "and Liam reacted. Comprenez-vous?"

"Yes sir, I will deliver them directly to her" Veronica said to the teacher as she got up from her desk and put on her bag. They were all the same so it didn't really matter which one she gave to the others. She eyes over each question intentively, answering each one in her head. Realizing she could probably do them later tonight in her dorm. She put the rest of the papers into her bag and looked around the classroom. Then she left, saying absolutely nothing to anyone but Calista. "Goodbye. I'll see you at Dinner tonight" Veronica then walked out the door, making her way to the infirmary to check up on Lyra. but it seemed she was already out.

"Lyra!" Veroncia said with enthusiasm then looked to Johnathan, "Johnathan" As she said with un-enthusiasm. Veronica then walked up to Lyra and checked the wound, making sure she was ok. "We should make our way to the student council room. Wouldn't want to miss the meeting, ms president?" She looked back up to her, smiling.

~Lyra/Ms Longstorm~

Lyra smiled back at Johnathon, and smoothed out her skirt as she sat. She shook her head as he walked behind the curtain, hardly thinking it was necessary for him to be looked at. He had only coughed once, though it was quite random...and painful sounding. Lyra grimaced, remembering how violently the cough had jolted Johnathon in his seat. She stared down at her lap, and her mind began to wander...he seemed fine on the walk over. It was awkward, yes, but he seemed perfectly okay. Her eyes drifted over to one of her hands, which just a few minutes ago was encased by his. She swore that she could still feel his warm touch, and brushed her fingers across her palm. She smiled slightly...as the whole thing was happening, Lyra couldn't think straight, and the only things her mind could remotely stay focused on was how incredibly awkward the situation was and how badly her hip was hurting.

It was only until Lyra thought back on what happened did she realize how happy she was. She'd never felt so...safe. She laughed lightly at how he had blushed...it was sweet. The young man was already gorgeous, yes, Lyra wouldn't deny that. She wasn't afraid to admit it, either...but when his cheeks would redden...it made her heart melt.

Just then, she coiled her hand into a fist.

Why am I thinking like this?! Shut up, brain, shut up!

Ms Longstorm raised an eyebrow and gave a very unenthusiastic 'uh huh' before she turned and started grabbing up different, strange medical tools and supplies from the cabinet above her. She laid them all out on the small counter underneath the cabinet, and she said, almost sighing, "How about we both agree to be honest with eachother..."

She turned towards him, leaning back on the counter, her hands behind her. With a small smirk, she continued, "I already read your file, Johnny. I'm perfect aware of your problems."

Of course, she spoke quietly so Lyra wouldn't hear anything. Silently approaching him, she (ironically) walked her middle and index fingers up his arm until she had a hand behind his neck. This wasn't anything new, of course. Ms Longstorm was always flirting with the students. She was only twenty three, after all. This boy wasn't TOO much younger than her. With her other hand, she gently tapped her fingers on his throat, saying, "Now...what happened? Over stimulation? Too much physical activity?"

There was no doubt that Ms Longstorm was an attractive woman...in a strange sort of way. She had striking features, yes, but she wasn't really that "pretty"...yet she was still very alluring. She had a shapely figure, which helped, but mostly, it was her attitude. The way she walked, the way she talked...her confidence was amazing, enough to leave anyone speechless.

Lyra looked up, and there was a shattering sound effect in her mind.

As she looked at the curtain, she could see clear as day the silhouette of Ms Longstorm...EMBRACING Johnathon?! He was obviously pretty releuctant...she had to save him! Just as the girl was about to jump up and rip the curtain open to rescue him, Veronica walked in.

"Veronica!" Lyra grinned, jumping up and wrapping the girl in a hug. Upon hearing her words, Lyra's face fell. She glanced back at the curtain, eye twitching at the sight. She REALLY didn't want to leave Ms Longstorm alone with him...who knows what she would do.

"Could we wait just a bit?" she asked, taking the girl's hands. "I...um...I wanna make sure he'll be...okay..."

Lyra knew he'd be fine, it was just a cough...

Stupid nurse.

Johnny? The flat expression on John's face didn't last long. His lower lip turned to a scowl, his silver eyes glinted harshly. "Honesty you say? Why don't you tell me what's in my file th--" The look on his face vanished; he stopped dead in his tracks. She began to advance towards him, slowly, yet persistently. He grew wary, but didn't react in time to the nurse's actions. In an instant, her fingers were crawling up his arm, then around his neck; she coiled around him like a snake, her fingers drumming on his Adam's apple. He tried to swallow, but found he couldn't. His senses began to zone out, his eyes began to focus solely on the nurse's face. It was charming, yes, but more fiendish than anything. The burning of blood could be felt within every inch of Johnathon's body, not just his cheeks, and as his senses also left him, so did his capability to move. "L-Longstorm," he gulped, unable to continue on with the words.

There was something wrong though. Despite the unsettling feeling Johnathon had, staring into Longstorm's face, something else greatly troubled him. She was too close, but she also was . . . wasn't Lyra. He found something pleasant looking into Lyra's eyes, but not this woman's! From head to foot the boy was disgusted. This was not his style, and there was no reason for him to be with the nurse in the first place. The meeting betwixt them was adjourned. For with some strength, John managed to say, "Nurse, I-I feel quite fine now." With that, he did what he should have done earlier. He chilled each of the nurse's hands, allowing his escape.

With a loud bang from behind the curtain as Johnathon vaulted forward, never more grateful to be away from a woman, he burst through the curtain and tumbled onto the infirmary floor. He was coughing now, gasping for breath as he still felt the invisible marks of the nurse's fingers on his throat, but thankful to be free. Unbeknownst to him, however, yet knownst to anyone who looked upon his relieved face, John was red from the neck up. It was a deep shade of red, like hot water had been poured directly on his face. "Thank, God," he wheezed, a cough shortly following. Only then did he look up, and to his utmost embarrassment there was not only Lyra, but Veronica too, standing a few feet from his head. "WHAT are you doing here?!"

Nichole and kouji met up again drrssed in hiphop clothes. They hifved and smiled. Nichole put in her cd for the background music and they got in position.

"Ready onnii-chan? " Nichole asked looking up at him and he nodded. Nichole played the music.

"~Lets have some fun fun fun! Jump up and try to touch the sun sun sun! Cmon lets run around play all day. The day is yours! See if you want more! Shake your hips take a dip. See what you can do! "WHAT are you doing here?!"

"What am I doing here? I'll have you know I came to help the president and make sure she is ready for her meeting. I don't know why you have to be so..." Veronica looked away quickly then looked back, "So... HOSTILE!" There were audible gasps in the room when Veronica made her statement. Well the only gasps were the ones in her head but she still felt as if she made a statement. "ok, well since he looks fine." Veronica eyes Johnathan up and down and made sure he was stable and standing. "He's fine. Let's go....Or should I" Veronica looked to Lyra seductively. "Leave you two alone for the time being." Veronica then giggled and observed the small red appearing on Lyra's cheeks.

Ever since they had been friends, Veronica knew every little string to pull on Lyra to make her tick. Her favorites were boys. Mostly being the only exception to men Veronica could possibly make. Hating men even further wouldn't be beneficial to their friendship. So as long as the boys treated Lyra with respect, then Veronica agreed with them. As long as Veronica was the favored bridesmaid.

Upon hearing the loud thud, Lyra spun around, horrified to see Johnathon sprawled onto the floor. Following him was Ms Longstorm, who looked concerned about the boy who she just had her hands all over. Of course, she'd never go passed that...she just thought the reactions she could get from students were cute. She didn't mean for him to react to violently. She could be nice and serious, and she was a very good nurse...she the way she flirted with the STUDENTS made Lyra angry beyond anything she could explain.

The girl was just about to kneel down to see if he was alright, when he said;

"WHAT are you doing here?!"

Blinking with shock, Lyra braced herself for Veronica's reply, which was pretty much exactly what she had expected. The girl smiled slightly, as her best friend was again more like herself, and said, "You seem to be feeling better...I'm glad you're back!"

Of course, Lyra would still try to get the truth out of about why she was acting so strange, but for now, she just enjoyed the moment.

"He's fine. Let's go....Or should I...Leave you two alone for the time being."

Well. So much for enjoying the moment.

Lyra automatically slapped her hand over Veronica's mouth and she squealed, "Stop saying things like that, you creep! It's...it's weird! I take it back! I am NOT glad to have you back! Besides..."

Lyra paused as her eyes drifted to Ms Longstorm, and she grumbled, "He's been sexually harassed enough for one day..."

Ms Longhorn sat behind her desk, grinning...almost like she was proud of what happened. Was she stupid?

Lyra's eyes narrowed as she looked at the woman. Why was she suddenly so angry? The girl lowered her head, recalling the image she had seen just moments ago...how dare she put her hands on him like that? Lyra had seen the nurse's outrageous flirting on many occasions. It always bothered her, but not like this.

Never like this.

Lyra fully admitted in her head the Ms Longhorn was attractive, and she usually didn't get much protest from anyone for her ridiculous flirting. Lyra didn't want the nurse to get in trouble, of course...but she didn't want her to keep doing what she did. Being a nurse who studied pretty much all of the aspects of the male body, physical and emotional, the nurse knew how to make herself look very appealing to men. Lyra almost felt a bit jealous.

"...well...um...I guess we should go, then, right?" she asked Veronica, forcing herself to stop thinking about the nurse and what had happened. As much as the girl just wanted to drop a boulder onto the woman's head, it would probably be best if she just left.

Nichole smiled and continued her song. Her voice was amazing. Kouji smiled and said"ready?" Cupping his hands. Nichole nodded and ran to him then did a back flip off his hands. "And now for the finalie!" Nichole smiled shooting up some water and blew freezing the arches. "You were awesome as always imuto! " kouji said hugging her. Nichole giggled and said"lets go get changed." They went their separate ways and didnt notice anyone was watching. Or did they?! Eh maybe someone was watching maybe not. Anyway they changed into their regular clothes. Nichole hummed sitting on a branch in a tree eating chocolate. "Get down from there before you fall! You're wearing a skirt for Pete's sake! " kouji shouted at her.

"Hostile?!" Johnathon rose from his pitiful position on the floor - rose to his full height. Flushed, he bit down on his lip so as not to start a fight. Bickering wasn't a typical thing for John to do, but right now, angry and embarrassed as he was, he was prepared to turn an evil eye on anyone. His attention turned to the nurse, who had emerged from the other room and behind the separating curtain. Perhaps it had just been playful flirting, or it would have been, if her target weren't Johnathon. But not even that, if it hadn't been today, he would have reacted far differently. Women flirted with him in the past, and he typically let them, yet somehow this instance was different. Was it because Lyra had been there also?

Something unexpected happened then. John began to laugh. It wasn't uproarious and over the top, but it was a little more than a chuckle. Look what has happened so far . . . in the course of a few hours. First day at school. Perhaps the situation had just become so absurd that now, after the fact, it just spoke of hilarity. He smirked; some of the painful red was washed away by the natural pale of his cheeks. "Heh, Ms. Vice," he said, turning to Veronica, "leave us alone for now, but I'll find you later." With that he winked at her, turned to the nurse, then quickly looked back to Lyra. He blinked, then smiled again. "Good day," he bid, cheerful, although a hint of uncertainty and awkwardness could still be deciphered from his tone. John's cheeks showed a few hints too; they'd probably be there for a while.
