Hearing the wolf faunus speak had taken Liserian by surprise. He assumed the mask was just an aesthetic. The sound of her breathing made him want to look after her; at least until she was safe in Haven Academy. The other two girls seemed capable of escorting her, but if anything were to happen, he could bet none of them knew anything about medical procedures. His gaze shifts to the armored clad. He couldn’t tell if they were male or female. Not that it mattered, but he could at least address them properly. The other one, he had no time to get an opinion of as a couple of Beowolves charged in for an attack. The armored lad was quick to handle them showing their mighty strength. It was probably all of that armor giving them confidence. Then again, they just tore a Beowolf in half with their bare hands. Impressive. He definitely did not want to cross her in the future.

Just when the coast was clear, the unexpected happened. A King Taijitu slithered straight towards his teammate. Seeing such a creature had him grip his rifle as a precaution. The knight was impressive holding their ground like some sort of berserker. When she was tossed into the air and ready to be swallowed, they acted and eluded the Taijitu’s attempt. The knight was safe, but they were not pleased. No, whatever is going on behind the helmet is a murderous intent. Their rage could be felt as they cried out while lunging straight for the Taijitu. He knew for sure the snake was going to be a goner under their rage, but she would need help despite the warning.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, a bird grimm made an appearance right after one of the girls retorted to the knight. He could tell those two are bound to bash heads. The hot-tempered girl shot at the large bird which meant now they were caught between a rock and a hard place. More bad luck came when he heard growls approaching and the rustling of shrubs all around them. Liserian used his semblance to read his surroundings. He can see vague blotches of red approaching. A hoard of them peering through the clearing rows of the forest. He whistled, ”Seems we’re about to have a welcoming party.” He arms himself and starts sniping down some beowolves as they are a much easier target compared to boartusks.

When the wolf faunus asked him to follow, he couldn’t decline as she had used the magic word. Aside from that, he felt a strange authority atmosphere coming from the girl despite her frail appearance. ”Sure thing, boss lady.” Someone had to keep an eye on her. Though he knew not to underestimate her as she had taken down a boartusk’s ivory tusk which meant she could handle herself. By the looks of it, all of them could. As he followed, he noticed the hot-headed girl was actually a cool leopard faunus. Her bandana had been torn and her tail let loose. Well now, that is a rarity to see such a rare faunus. Maybe he was confusing it with something else. Probably. At least he can now call her what she really is. A kitty named, Spots. That would make the armored one, Knight, and of course, the girl he was trailing Boss Lady.

Liserian understood the objective. To survive and escape the forest, but with an infestation of Grimm, something was causing them to be lured here. First the lancers and Alphas? Something was fishy and he did not want to be part of whatever was going on. He has important matters to deal with that don’t involve being a Huntsman. ”I just wanted to see the damn library.” He grumbled before his focus was on King Taijitu. Whatever Boss Lady had planned, it involved the snake. Did she have a deathwish or a plan? He couldn’t tell. All of the women showed signs of insanity in his opinion, but he wasn’t going to dictate them. ”Bullets won’t have much effect on them. If I remember correctly, blades and something volatile do the trick.” Taijitu’s scales were just as tough as the boartusk’s hide. Their stature gives them an edge, however, the bigger they are the harder they fall they say. Liserian switched to his scythe and made sure to keep out of the Knight’s line of fire. Though in the back of his head, he was concerned for the underlings that could jump in at any minute with how much they might attract fighting off Grimm.

Liserian shot himself off the ground and spun his scythe at the snake. There was not enough momentum to behead them. Maybe from a higher ground? After his failed attempt the wolf faunus took care of the black-headed snake and then took her place above the trees. What for? He didn’t know, but as he distracted the snake with another slash piercing through just a little and keeping a tight grip as the snake tried to shake him off, his attention was drawn to the flock of birds attacking the wolf faunus. Liserian began to wonder what to do in this situation. Everyone is focused on something and he was honestly support. The plum-haired teen groans, ”Screw it.” This was not survival to the fittest. He could not allow lives at stake to perish. That would a shitty first day of school.

”Damn it, gramps, what the hell did you get me into?”

Liserian removed his blade and retreated it a rifle. From the head of the Taijitu, he starts sniping the birds away with precision as best as he can. He slid off of the snake just in time and did a backflip to dodge the black head’s bite. His left arm was cut in the process, but it wasn’t deep enough to cause a problem. If anything a graze. ”Need a hand or ya got it?” He called out to Shin’ya.

Autumn felt like he was going to collapse. All of his panicking was shortening his life and straining his body without realizing it. He was moving to keep Tiff safe, but she seemed to run towards danger without a second thought. There are probably grimm all around them and she just wants to find another student. At least have some common sense. All of his thoughts were put on pause as they made a stop when Tiff paused in her tracks. He looks around trying not to think about Grimm. ”U-um…I don’t think so. I mean there must be some grimm lurking around if that’s what you mean? I just hope we’re not in their line of sight. Just then, a gust of wind blew right through as if a crash had happened nearby. Tiff once again was quick to run towards the direction. What astounded Autumn was the beam of light. It might be another student in danger. ”Wait! Miss!” He cried out.

The chase continued leading to a clearing. One human made by a tall dark and handsome faunus. The whole place looked like a warzone, but he came out unscathed. Autumn was at a loss for words as he casually greeted them. ”Uh…h-hey. We’re fine, thanks. Did you do this?” He wondered if it was or he just so happened to come across it like them. Tiff’s question of what to do was never answered and instead interrupted by a grimm. They were dragged into the woods like some horror movie. It had Autumn shaking in his boots. The gunshot was relieving. Only man can do that. The long silence had Autumn in suspense until the footsteps came closer and closer. Autumn hid behind the tall guy, but relaxed upon meeting a pink haired…beauty?

He had half a mind to scold the person trying to give him a heart attack but instead, his heart began to swoon over the appearance of what he assumed was a girl dressed in pink. So innocent and cute. Autumn practically pushed Tiff and Asher away as if they were double doors. His green eyes shifted to hearts as he jumped in and took the pinkette’s hand. ”You must be the most beautiful girl I ever laid eyes on, and you saved our hides. My name is Autumn, and your name is? Felix? That’s a boy's name, but I’m sure it can be unisex too, right?” In this state of mind, Autumn was blind as a bat, acting like a total fool and doting on the person as if they were the most interesting person in the world. ”If you need anything, let me know. I will protect you wherever you are.”

Autumn stopped his flirtatious advances and noticed the ground rumbling beneath. It wasn’t like last time when they found Asher. No, the rumblings were getting heavier. Something is approaching and with it comes an army aimed for them. A cold shiver was sent down his spine as the Grimm made itself known. A Goliath, boartusks, beowolves and ursas? Those were tough creatures and Autumn was already screaming like a little girl as the Goliath had its eyes on him. ”Wait, what? Why me? I didn’t do anything to you. Go attack someone else.” He pleaded to the Goliath as a strange man in a cap swooped in like some sort of ninja taking care of a boartusk. He called out in a rude manner whoever they are. ”Aim for that guy! He’s a challenge.” Autumn shouted at the Goliath as if diplomacy with Grimm was an option.

This was all so much. It gave him flashbacks of that day again. He couldn’t stand still and do nothing, but right now all he wanted to do was cower behind a tree, but the person with him would get caught in the crossfire. Autumn pushes Felix away from Goliath’s attack and rolls with him on the floor, but makes sure he’s cushioned. ”Are you ok? We have to get out of here. Make a run for it.” This is all he wanted to do right now. He wanted to run and not look back. Make it to Haven Academy safe and sound even if it meant leaving people behind. He was acting just as he did before. So many Grimm swarming them was enough to make him ditch the team. He didn’t want to be there. He wanted to take things slow and accordingly, not be where he is now. This was all wrong and he was gripping Felix like a lifeline by his sweater. His gaze wasn’t even focused on him. They were just filled with fear.

Valerian clicked his tongue. Damn it, he should have listened to the announcement before heading off. Oh well, there’s only so many directions to go in. They’d find the place eventually! Or die, but it’d be fun running around the forest either way.

“Are you kidding? I’d love to see some grimm,” Valerian laughed as he followed after his new friend. “This is way more fun than whatever orientation they had planned.”

He took a better look at Momiji as they ran. She was a handful of inches shorter than him, and super mobile. He was just about keeping pace with her, and Valerian was certain she could spring up into the air way easier than he could. The violin was a curious sight. An odd choice for a bludgeon (not that he could judge), so a transforming weapon of some sort? Oh he couldn’t wait to see what it unfolded into.

Eventually the two of them made it to a clearing— or a crater really. The only reason the area was devoid of trees was some sort of force utterly obliterating every one. Valerian’s eyes darted around, looking for what grimm had caused such a disaster and— His eyes landed on two students.

“Talk about a crash landing!” Valerian said, walking over to them. “You two okay?”

Felix stood off balance as the earth around them shook making him thinking it was something under the ground before seeing a giant boulder fly through the air causing him to slump “oh no” then the giant Goliath it’s horrifying size made its appearance, it’s roar so loud and disturbing could make your blood flee from your veins. Felix saw this monstrosity and started to frantically point at it and exclaimed “Don’t these things kill licensed hunters!” he sighed holding his head in his hand for a little bit looking up seeing 6 lesser Boarbatusks 6 lesser beowolves and 4 ursas making his eyes widen “THERES MORE!” Felix wined a bit as he made a long sigh. The Goliath causing a small earthquake almost knocking him off his feet. Before feeling Autumn tackle him to the ground saying “oop going down” as he feel on top of Autumn. Felix looked down at Autumn before giving him a playful wink and standing up unsheathing Shooting Stars from under his sweater.

Shooting stars it has 3 modes first short sword which is a glossy purple blade divided in 3 segments put together about 2 feet long. Whip sword which separates the 3 segments with a yellow chain reaching to a max of 7 feet. Revolver which the blade splits showing a revolver barrel that has 6 dust bullets. Interestingly enough the sword mode to revolver mode is a switch and the trigger for the revolver still exists while in sword mode, hitting the trigger makes an audible “click” switching it to whip sword mode and back again with a powerful pulling force. Little complex but that’s how he designed it with every painstaking detail.

Felix gripped the hilts of shooting stars shaking his head readying himself putting his stars behind him pushing all his weight through his legs. One solid burst he pushes forward. “click” quickly he throws the whip sword forward planting it into a Boarbatusk “click” quickly the sword comes back together pulling Felix towards the Boarbatusk. Keeping his momentum “click” as he was approaching he extended his whip sword spinning like a human top and slicing the Boarbatusk in half to make it dissolve and go for his real prey an Ursa. Moving fast forward he prepped one of stars forward, as it got on its hind legs coming to a sudden stop as his star planted itself in the Ursa’s shoulder. Quickly he rolled forward pointing at his star “I wish my star stayed in place” the sword not moving static locking the ursa in place allowing him to strike at its heels. The killing blow was close before the Goliath stepped in a giant trunk smack him making him fly before he hit a nearby tree. Recoiling in pain he coughed his aura flickering as he rolled his eyes. “Ooo it’s personal now”

Emile chuckled as he once again looked at the damage that Bhima had caused. “The name’s Emile. Nice to meet ya too, Bhima. Remind me to never get on your bad side, cause I don’t want to be on the receiving end of…whatever that was.” He said with a grin. He was lucky to find someone like Bhima. With strength like that, going through a Grimm-infested forest would be a breeze. Maybe he could even be useful as a human shield. He snickered quietly at the thought of that. “Well, we better leave this ‘landing site’ of yours. If I heard ya coming down, then Grimm might of heard ya as well.”

Emile was about to leave the crater until he heard something rustling in the bushes nearby. He readied his weapon. “Speak of the-“ The bushes then reveal two other students. It seems that they too were curious about Bhima’s little stunt. He breathed a sigh of relief as he disengaged his weapon. “Well I’m fine for the most part, you should ask that to the big guy over there.” He said gesturing to Bhima. “Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Emile and that’s Bhima. You wanna team up since it’s the four of us? The more the merrier!”Emile said with a friendly smile.

    Carlisle Thyme

♡design by miyabi, coded by uxie♡

Carlisle ignored her last comment as he followed the two girls, that was until she mentioned he was “that kind of guys her father warned her about”. He felt his eyebrow twitch, “I don’t know what you are trying to insinuate...but I don’t like it.” he simply said before turning attention back to his surroundings, he had better things to do than give his attention to her, especially around here, where a Grimm could easily ambush them. It would suck to survive a fall from an airship only to perish because they weren’t paying attention.

Once they reached the other student, he stood at a distance to gauge the interaction. He let out a sigh once The Cat asked if she could pet her tail or horns, she said no to the tail but gave her a maybe for the horns and all Carlilse could think was ‘don’t encourage her...’. Next, it was The Fox’s turn to speak up and she went the direct approach, telling...Dinah? To knock it off and for the other student to get off the ground before giving them a full run down of their situation, giving off real leader vibes.

Carlisle was about to open his mouth, but The Girl spoke first with a resounding ‘Duh’ which even took him aback a bit. She knew she was in a dangerous place, but she was still stayed lying down? Well, near death experiences do make people do crazy things so he shrugged and brushed that thought to the side. He did, however, found her comment about chewing bubble gum and walking at the same time amusing. With a shrug to the others, he followed the girl towards where he assumed was the right direction.

However, they didn’t more than a handful of steps in before they stopped at the found of barking and twigs snapping, “that close already?” he stated to no one in particular. He noticed the sounds were everywhere except from where they were going so maybe they didn’t suround them just yet, “Come on, let’s get going maybe we can--” he stopped in his tracks as a Beowolves suddenly jumped from the treelined barking and snarling at him. He let out a curse before he pulled out Echo and Epilogue. He heard more pop out from the sides and some behind them. He counted one in front of them and one of each side, “Ok, four? Four is manageable.” One for each person, they can get one quickly dispatch of it and go on their way.

That was the plan until two more popped up, on joining the other in the front and the other in the rear, “Six...six is a little less manageable...” he admitted, “couldn’t get any worse right?” he said out loud. That’s when the seventh appeared, an Alpha towering over the other six Beowolves. This was the first time he has ever seen an Alpha up close, and it was as every bit as big as his uncle told him during one of his adventuring stories. The Alpha let out a howl and the six began to approach the group of students and Carlisle got in his stance, “any ideas oh fearless leaders?” he said mostly to The Girl and The Fox. Without so much as a warning, the six went from a slow walk to a fast charge.

Carlisle's instincts kicked in the moment the first two Beowolves lunged at him and the girl, separating them just as the creatures began to swipe at him. Their claws cut through the air with savage precision, but Carlisle bobbed and weaved, evading most of the blows while only blocking when he saw an opening to counter. "Echo, Fire!" he commanded, his voice firm. In response, thin red lines began to pulse and glow along the barrel of his weapon. A moment later, Echo aimed squarely at the Beowolf’s midsection, and three sharp cracks filled the clearing as he fired. Not only did the creature drop to the ground, writhing in pain, but it was also engulfed in roaring flames. Its agonized struggles slowed, then ceased entirely as its form began to dissolve, the embers dancing around it like fiery ashes carried by the wind.

Carlisle turned on his heel, intending to help the others, but a sharp howl cut through the air—a howl that made the hairs on his neck stand on end. The Alpha Beowolf had summoned more reinforcements. Two fresh Beowolves burst out from the underbrush, their yellow eyes locked onto him with bloodthirsty intentions. “Of course, there’s more,” Carlisle muttered under his breath as he found himself forced back. He gritted his teeth as he parried the rapid onslaught of claws, feeling the weight of the beasts' attacks, one after another. He had no room to breathe.

"Echo, Ice!" he shouted, narrowly dodging another swipe. The fiery glow of Echo faded, replaced by a cold, ethereal blue that coated his weapon. He dove to the side, narrowly evading a vicious swipe before firing a single shot at the ground near the feet of one of the Beowolves. The bullet exploded on impact, and in an instant, a wave of ice crawled up the creature’s legs, encasing it in frost. The Beowolf snarled and thrashed, trying to free itself.

Carlisle wasted no time, turning his focus to the second Beowolf. He moved with a calm, deadly rhythm—bobbing, weaving, blocking, and deflecting its attacks with surgical precision. Each time the Beowolf struck, Carlisle danced just out of reach, reading its every move. When the creature made the mistake of swinging wide, he stepped into the opening, bringing his sword down with brutal efficiency. Epilogue cleaved through the Beowolf’s arm, severing it cleanly. Without hesitation, Carlisle followed up with a second strike, cutting through the creature’s leg, sending it crashing to the forest floor with a guttural howl.
The moment was short-lived. The other Beowolf had finally broken free from its icy prison and came at him with renewed fury. But Carlisle was ready this time. His movements were sharp and fluid, slipping through its attacks with a confidence that grew with each passing second.

The Beowolf overextended, and Carlisle took advantage, dodging into the swing and thrusting Echo into its stomach. "Echo, Fire!" he commanded once more, not waiting for the full transformation of his weapon to take hold. With a sudden explosion of ice and fire, the Beowolf was blasted backward, its body tumbling through the dirt until it landed beside its crippled ally.

Carlisle was already on them before they had a chance to react, Echo’s barrel pressed against the head of one while his sword, Epilogue, hovered menacingly at the throat of the other. For a moment, time seemed to stop.
And then, with a cold, decisive motion, he pulled both triggers.

Bang.

Boom.

The two Beowolves crumpled to the ground, their bodies slowly dissolving into shadowy wisps that faded into the forest breeze. Carlisle let out a quiet breath, eyes scanning the tree line for more threats, “Annoying,” he muttered, wiping sweat from his brow. He could feel it—a predatory energy lurking just beyond the tree line, more Beowolves waiting, watching, ready to strike at any moment. They couldn’t linger. If they didn’t end this soon, they would be overwhelmed, and this forest clearing would become their grave. They needed to move, now.

As she was about to make her steps out of the vicinity, the sound if someone calling for her halted Azura in her track. She turned to see a young but seemingly reliable silver haired girl in blue admiral outfit which somewhat gave out an imagery of old school buccaneer for Azura. From the way the girl spoke, Azura got the impression that the silver haired girl is quite introverted, although most likely not as much as her.

Well, being found out this soon was not a part of Azura's plan, but all things considered it is probably the better alternative.

"Ah, hello. I'm completely fine, thank you for asking," Azura responded nervously while trying to potray the most cheerful smile she possibly could, "A-are you also a new student from Haven? I'm Azura. Glad to meet you!"

Azura glanced around before turning back towards her newfound acquaintance. Uncertainty overwhelmed her thought and potrayed clearly on her face as the sound of combat echoed throughout the forest. This is the first time Azura had stepped her foot on the dense forest of Mistral, and she had no.knowledge of any landmarks to guide them out.

'Should I ask for her help?' Azura thought, her anxiety began to take hold, 'but maybe she isn't familar with this forest either! What if she thinks I'm unreliable and simply leaving me be!? No, that's the worst case scenario!'

Luckily for Azura, she didn't have to indulge in her what-ifs any further. Voice of a man in his middle age signaled the presence of their rescuers. Azura immediately followed as he made his move. Their journey would come to yet another halt though as a large group of Grimm creatures surrounded the newly created team.

"This is... troublesome," Azura muttered, her eyes locked toward the approaching horde as she reloaded her flute-gun. As she formulate a plan to deal with the Grimm before her, the middle aged man introduced himself as their teacher at Haven academy before engaging the Grimm.

"...Azura Nachtigall, new student at Haven academy. I'll be under your care."

As she finished her introduction, a triplet of Ursai charged toward Azura in reverse triangle formation. Azura quickly dealt with the first two by swinging her flute towards their head, cracking their skull. The third one wasn't so lucky either as the moment it jumped to catch on its supposed prey, Azura already recovered and aimed her flute-gun at the beast's opening mouth. She pulled the trigger, and the Grimm's head obliterated into pieces. She was about to shoot the other two Grimms when she noticed both of them already vanquished into thin air.

'Huh. The Ursai back home were much stronger,' Azura mentally noted before turning to the rest of the Grimm pack.

'Strange. It isn't common for a large conglomerate of Grimms to converge in a singular point like this,' Azura wondered just as she noticed a Boarbatusk rolling towards her. She simply dodged and let the boar crashed onto a nearby tree before she blasted the confused beast into oblivion.

'Even with the overwhelming number though, I think we'll manage through.'

" awwww " Dinah whined when told she couldn't pet the horns or venomous tail of the faunus girl.

The guy didn't dlseem to get her jokes, though perhaps she would push him on it while Anya wasn't around. Dinah didn't want to make the fix girl feel like she wasn't getting all the attention she wanted. The well honestly Dinah assumed she was sone kind of fish girl had gotten up and things seemed to be moving on. Dinah hadn't been paying attention during the fall so if there was a goal she didn't know it. Kill sone grimm get to school sleep on anyas bed that seemed like a good plan to her. Dinah hadn't actully been in real combat but well she had practiced so she should be good .... maybe. Despite her putting on confident airs Dinah was starting to feel a nervousness creeping up from the pit of her stomach. It was like when she had been discovered or had worriored about it.

Well she had training and weapons that was all she needed to fight grimm right? There might be grimm around but really how bad could it be? Then it happened the grimm came at first it seemed fine just obe for each it was not hard despite that feeling growing worse. Then it got bad as an alpha emerged and they were now fighting two on one plus the alpha. Well this should be nothing they might be students but at least Anya has fought before.

Mist curledaround Dinah's hands as hope and regret manifested. Their forms that of the pistols as the two grimm attacked her. Dinah let them come only to vanish in a puff of mist and appear between the two a pistol pointed at each. She quickly fired and even as the bullets burrowed into the grimm they lashed out twisting to strike at her. Again Dinah was gone as the two carried by their momentum collided.

Dinah reappeared on top of them hope and regret changing form as they appeared becoming two hand Sickles. Dinah dug them I to the grimm's backs and crouched diwn almost ran forward cutting the beawolves almost down their spines but the boney ridges meant she couldn't get it even. The grimm reared up seeking to throw her off and dinah went flying only to turn to mist again.

The grimm looked about for their foe only for Dinah to materialize between them as the looked away her weapons having become a staff with two sickle heads. Dinah hals the staff up and twirled it tearing the grimms throats open and causing them to turn to black ash.

" That was easy enough " Dinah chuckled only to come face to well not face more like abdomen with the towering alpha.

The others hadn't been this big and the feeling the fear that Dinah had been feeling rushed at her. She wasn't standing in the daytime forest anymore she was in a ruined village in the dead of night. Not longer was she the warrior to be but rather had been flung back to the scared little child she had been. The emotions of the Seige came back to Dinah. The alpha in her mind grew larger and soon towered larger than buildings. In some tiny part of her mind she knew this wasn't real she wasn't there again, but the memory forced its way into her mind and consumed every thought so that she couldn't hear that tiny voice. She couldn't hear that she needed to fight, she couldn't hear that she needed to run,all she could hear were screams and roars all she could smell was fire and death. Dinah was not in the forest she was was far in the past and she did as she would have done then.

Dinah screamed in fear and practically fell into a defensive curl " HELP " she called out not sounding anything like she had moments ago but now sounding just like the scared child her mind had made her think she was again.

"Well then today will be getting interesting hmm~ perhaps a few vials of fire dust yes that would go great" Corrosi hummed to themselves Looking at the buzzer swarm outside until he heard the alarm that is with a small sigh he'd pick up his brief case and large canister like gun thing and stepping out the back like everyone else not being worried in the slightest he’d fire a green spray down at the ground the stuff suddenly stoping his fall like it was a sticky jelly and just walking out of it air cushions of some kind it seemed humming to himself he’d look around a Grimm or two getting melted by a blue coloured liquid fired form his weapon. Checking the call he got he’d simply nod. “right find the students make sure there safe and today was just gonna be normal of course not“ he’d grumble just a bit mildly annoyed today was going so well and now this mess but hey nothing a few melted grim wouldn't fix to cheer him up, now just to find the students best way to do that follow screaming or any weapons nosies shouldn't be that hard right?

and well it really wasn't too hard to find one of the groups of students tail coiled around the branch of a tree as an anchor point he'd look down at the group, cat faunus having.. not so much of a great day wolf Faunus as well using some fire arrow oh and an alpha Beowulf, while the students where handling themselves well for the moment working together one girl with a rifle was handling the beowolfs approaching, while he didn't see the need to directly intervene a new purple canister of fluid was quickly installed in his rifle like device remaining in his perch he'd take shots at the advancing beowolfs relieving the rifle-wielding girl of the trouble of having to deal with them so much so they could all work on taking out the alpha.

"Copy that." Replying to Mizu. Dashing into the forest disappearing among the trees. 3 minutes making sprint into the forest. Grimm all around scouring for the students. The scale of the attack is uncounted due to the trees and unpredicted time.

The airship overhead was far now from where it dropped the students. Only the helmsman remains on board, the lancers are still in pursuit but dramatically decreased in numbers when a few lancers are swiftly impaled by huge arrows with glowing orange combustion dust. These black steel arrows explodes a second of delay into a fiery blaze. A state of the art ballista launcher located at the borders of Haven's campus. Alternating interval fires from multiple ballista's ensures constant long range support.

A few Beowolves stood in his way which he slashed in one or two strokes of his blade. Three more Beowolves surrounds him, all pouncing at once. With one spin of his flaming blade, all but are specks of ash by the time they landed his clean button up shirt.

Seconds after, History teacher, Jade Seraphina arrives at his side. Greeting him with side of light sarcasm to the side. The man merely nods as he gazes far into the forest, seeing little movements of black shadows, sounds of gunfire and metal clashing, and explosions overhead. Mizu is one of the first ones to the scene and spotted a team of students. Giving the man some relief. He puts the scroll on his ear.

[ ▶️ 🎙️ "Gather the students, and cross them to the defense line. I'm seeing hundreds almost a thousand of Grimm activity out here. Got no source for origin, No signs of a burrowing hole or nests here. Almost out of thin air. I've seen alpha class Grimm out here too. No one is safe here."] Sliding the scroll back to his pocket. Jadestill awaiting with her question.

"I'm not sure, Ms. Jade. First time we've had something like this, or Grimm this close to the academy... We'll have to set aside the investigations right now. What I am sure is that there's more Grimm down here, than Lancers attacking Mr. Antonio's airship. We'll be overrun here any minute now. I'm heading out." Giving a two finger salute to Jade before sprinting hastily in the forest, age has barely slowed the man. Cutting Beowolves in his way like grass.

During his run across the forest. A loud red flare of explosion booms to his left. Such an explosion was not made by the ballista's. It was from a lone wolf Faunus. A student who recently just landed and making her way to the forest. "Excuse me, over here." Calling politely to wild girl.

"I'm here to assist you to Haven Academy, just ahead." Before he could further explain himself. A Grimm Ursa makes a rabid dash behind him from the bushes. In just a blink of on an eye, the ursa's head was on the grass and the man holding his slashing pose. Sword outward to his left. "Follow me, lets look for the others. we'll explain everything later." Turning his heel back to the wolf girl with a confident stride back to Haven's clearing.

It was not too far when he found two more young women from the sound of their guns echoing through the forest, their blades drawn out. They have fought Grimm just now. He waved over towards the two "Excuse me, you two! Over here!" He called to them. "Let's get everyone here off this forest. This place is crawling with Grimm." Motioning the two follow along as he tries to jog along into the direction towards Haven.

Red eyes surround the teacher and the 3 students. Ursa's, Beowolves and boarbatusks slowly crawl out of darkness of the forest. At least more than twenty Grimm surrounds them. Daisuke plants his sword on the ground. Cracking his knuckles and rotating his shoulders. "I'm Daisuke Boucher, I'm your teacher here in Haven academy. Lets teach em' a lesson..."Looking all around. A boarbatusk charges their rolling attack towards Daisuke. Darting in seconds but he did not raise vanquisher. Raising his right hand, glowing grey flame envelopes his hand and two nearby heavy stones lifted in mid as if it were light. Homing into the rolling Grimm and instantly crushing the boarbatusk and cracking the stones. The wave of Grimm charges at the 3, Daisuke would find himself clashing blade to claws of an Ursa. While he is handling the Grimm with little effort his eyes were subtly focused to the students and a possible opening for escape.

"Nyeh?"
Yuppa's ears perked up as she noticed someone running towards her. She lowered her weapon arm when she noticed it was a person, and a grimm(with a short lifespan). She followed him without hesitation, hopping about as she began to take the swords around her waist off and attaching them to her shield. Her weapon of destruction was gaining more power with each sword attached, preparing herself against more grimm that would be coming for them soon.
"Oh, that's cool! Are we gonna get a tour to the school by our teacher?"
She said as she followed Daisuke.

Her face only lightened more when they ran into more students, all who seemed to have landed from the airship that had just crashed. More students meant more potential friends, and why would she give up the chnace to get more friends?
"And I get to meet more friends? Awesome!"
She raised her now claw-like shield arm to give them a wave. It was hard to contain excitement as she felt the presence of more people around her, with an unavoidable situation to converse with each other. A shame she couldn't meet up with Blondie-but that could happen later when they reach Haven. After all, she wouldn't forget about her newly made friends, would she?
"Hi! You can call me Yuppa. Nice to meet you, Azura!"
She greeted the newly met friend, and squatted on the ground for an accelerated jump. The blades on her shield glowed in a dangerous, bright hue of red. An Ursa threw its front paw at her, to which she answered with her shield arm. The blades cut through the paw, and she immediately turned the slash back to slam the grimm's face with the shield. A blast of fire was released upon impact, sending the creature to the ground burning to a crisp.
"And all of you, too!"

Gathered at the center of the cleared impact field, the four stood. Such an impact made the trees shake, the woods howling and growling, and eyes of red shifting in the corners of the student's eyes.

Crawling out of the fallen trees. Beowolves, more than a dozen with a dozen more Ursa's following second. Surrounded from all sides, crawling to ready for a pounce. Rustling in a large bush out came a single Boarbatusk. It sizes up the group with its to front feet up, rolling into a ball. Revving up in place like a rider's wheel.

Scrunch, The bone carapace and black soot Grimm flesh splatters to the grass. The boarbatusk was popped instantly by a golden tip stinger from the forest. The stinger reels back into a pile of trees being cut into ribbons as well as a few rocks, this something was entering the clearing fast. More trees fell in its wake. Its eyes are multiple, its body is large, two armored claws that can cut a car in half, and the golden tipped stinger dangling over its head. It's a violent deathstalker.

Hissing and brandings its claws at the group. An angry Ursa to its left charges first into the team. Immediately cut in two halfway its trip as the Deathstalker went from still stand to a hasty charge, cutting the Ursa clean out of its way. Charging straight into the team, its large body forces the team to ungroup. Its right claw attempting grab unto Emile first, as it's follow up, a down ward stinger strike towards Momiji. The rest of the Ursa's and Beowolves charge the team as well without thought.

It didn't come as a surprise that her words ruffled a few feathers, particularly those of the white-haired girl's. However, neither her protests nor insults had any effect on the blonde, both falling in deaf ears at the wake of her anger. Now equipped with her sword, she was now capable of clashing with the giant snake and trading blows instead of purely being on the defensive. As if to prove that point, the white head of the snake lunged at her, but Ilyas managed to parry the snake's bite as her sword made contact with one of the beast's fangs. As steel and tooth clashed, the King Taijitu recoiled from the impact. It let out a threatening hiss, now visibly pissed at the puny human that dared to fight back against it. It repeatedly tried to bite her again, but all of its attempts were thwarted as Ilyas kept deflecting the strikes, making sure to focus on that single tooth which absorbed the initial impact.

All of a sudden, the attention of the snake was divided as the plum-haired lad and the wolf-faunus launched simultaneous attacks that somewhat had an effect. She wasn't sure if these would-be students had any experience fighting Grimm of this size and caliber but now that they've entered the fray, she was not going to let their inexperience be the death of them. While she was confident that she would eventually get the better of the creature, one of the best ways to kill the two-headed snake was an attack on two fronts. With the snake distracted, Ilyas did something surprising. Focusing her strength on her right arm, she threw her sword at the beast's midsection. She managed to catch it off-guard, the beast hissing in pain, however the blonde knight was just getting started. She knew that even with two people, plum boy and wolf girl were still gonna need some help, especially when she saw that the lad had already suffered some damage. So, she rushed at the creature, and jumped at the sword, using it as a makeshift springboard so she could gain some altitude.

Once she had reached the creature's head, she delivered an overhead kick at the snake's fang which had already been weakened by the clash earlier. Fortunately, she had managed to chip away at it enough for the fang to come off.... and get sent flying at blinding speed towards the Black head of the creature. The sheer force and velocity of the impromptu projectile as it made impact with one of the snake's eyes blinded it instantly. Meanwhile, Ilyas managed to grab hold of her sword as she fell, tearing a portion of the reptilian grimm's midsection open thanks to her combined weight and rate of descent. However, as she was yanking the accursed sword free, the snake lashed out and used its long body to ram into her, sending her flying and crashing through several trees.

"Gaaghhh!!" Was all the sound Ilyas could make as she desperately gasped for air. The snake suddenly lashing out like that may have only knocked the wind out of her thanks to her semblance, but it felt like she had been hit by a truck as pain coursed throughout her body. The good news is that she could feel herself getting a lot stronger after taking a hit like that. However, she knew that she had to avoid such a devastating attack, lest her aura reserves fully give way and leaver her completely unprotected.

Groaning as she shakily stood, she stretched her sore muscles and checked if she had sustained more grievous injuries.

"Enough is enough. I have had it with this motherfucking snake on this motherfucking day." Ilyas cursed as she began marching out of the woods and back into the fray once more. Hopefully, her assist managed to increase plum boy and wolf girl's odds against the creature, at least until she gets back.

Bhima's eyes narrowed as the Deathstalker charged, its massive form plowing through the clearing. Without hesitation, he hurled his right club at the nearest Ursa, the large wooden weapon cutting through the air toward its target.

In the same fluid motion, Bhima launched himself toward the Deathstalker, swinging his left club with all his might to intercept its incoming right claw. Not stopping there, he sprang upward, reaching for the stinger as it struck at Momiji. His hands was aimed to grip around the joint between the tail and its golden stinger. His movements have to be precise, knowing full well that his depleted Aura left no room for mistakes.

"Everyone, now would be a good time to fight." Bhima said in his usual calm and polite tone, even in the face of the dangerous Grimm before him.

Jade nodded in agreement before taking off in a different direction, claiming another quadrant of the forest to check for the other Day One students. She was in “Go” mode, sprinting through the trees and keeping her eyes and ears open for kids or Grimm. She found one group of students who were heading in the wrong direction. She pointed them to the right direction and used her Semblance to lead them to the right direction. Before heading out to continue to look for more students, she heard a loud crash it almost sounded like a second ship went down. Curiosity got the better of her and she went towards the loud crashing noise, helping any student or taking care of any Grimm along the way.

She stayed along the trees jumping from branch to branch and using her Semblance to jump over larger gaps between the trees. She got close enough that she could start hearing voices, “good thing I decided to check out the loud crash,” she says to herself. She hoped off the branch and landed on the ground and ran the rest of the way towards the students. Once she reached her destination, she felt relieved to see four more students unhurt and seemingly full of energy. She was about to say something when suddenly what seemed like an army of Grimm appeared from the tree line. She was wondering why some of the students she found were clear from Grimm, because they all seemingly came here!

The large student was the first to react, hurling one of his massive weapons towards a Ursa and using the other to block the Deathstalkers Claw and hold onto its stinger. He made a call to action to his school mates and that’s when Jade rushed forward, “Keep it still!” she called to the tall student currently hold onto the Deathstalker. She released pulled out two small circular blades from her hips and pushed a button to extend them and lock before tossing one towards the tail, making sure she didn’t hit the student holding it down. The blade flew and hit the tail, but it didn’t cut through, getting stuck. All of a sudden, she was on top of the Deathstalker, her hand on the thrown weapon and forcing it to cut all the way through the tail.

There was now two Jades, one near the other students and one near the taller one. One could mistake them as twins but with the way the other shimmered they could tell the other wasn’t real, in a matter of speaking, “are you kids ok?” Jade asks knowing full they didn’t have enough time to talk, not with this army coming down on them. She gave them a quick glance and noted none of them had any noticeable injuries, “if you guys want to make a run for it,” she started and pointed towards the direction of where the teachers were sending the students, “follow the smoke from the ship, you’ll see some staff already there taking care of the students and sending them to safety.” she held her blade up and her Doppleganger did the same, “she had no intention of fighting all these Grimm, but she can buy time until they get away, “Go, I’ll cover you!”

A low, quiet rumbling bubbled up inside Shin'ya, sounding more like the purring of a kitten in her compact form than the growling of a wolf. But even a housecat had claws, and when cornered, would draw blood and worse in order to survive. All her training and preparation...it was not all so that she would be wounded or worse by these grim facsimiles of birds.

She did not directly respond to Liserian's expression of concern, but instead let that growl rise into a raspy snarl as she clenched her left fist. Raimei clicked and hissed as it engaged its shockwave component, and she thrust it up at an angle, as if delivering a staggering straight punch to the jaw of someone taller than her.

The thunder that gave Raimei its name rang out amidst the chaos of battle, the linear blast disintegrating two of the ravens and momentarily scattering the rest. The flock cleared, just in time to see the knight fling one of the white Taijitu's fangs into the eye of the black head, piercing it to draw forth gouts of dark ichor.

That was the opportunity.

Shin'ya shot forth like a stone from a sling, opening her palm wide. Raimei's fingers flexed back, a motion that posed danger of dislocating its wearer's fingers if done with more speed and force. Landing on the serpent's black head, Shin'ya slapped Raimei down on its other eye. Raimei's palm rapidly heated up, a sizzling noise and putrid smoke filling the air as it flash-fried the vitreous mass.

Blinded in one head, the Taijitu rattled in agony, spasming in its desperation. Its motion flung Shin'ya away, and she landed in a sideways roll on the grass, shaken but not further damaged. Her aura flickered, approaching its limit. One or two more impacts, and she'd be very much vulnerable to real injury...

Today was the day of greeting her students as she stood on the academy grounds, dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt with a purple bow tied in front, black overalls and black stockings with white knee-high boots. She adjusted her thinly framed glasses as she gazed at each student passing by each filled with potential to become a great huntsmen/huntress as she smiled softly to herself as this would be the year for something new to happen. That was until her ears perked up and Daisuke calling to the teachers within the vincity.

She laughed softly too herself as she picks up the large casket of her weapon that was so idly laying by her side as she raised it up. "Nikolai here, Didn't expect for this year to get onto an unusual start."

She moves off of academy grounds as she heads off into the forest running in search of the students, and possibly for some fun action to happen that she gets to participate in, But she was moreso worried on the students and their safety, Sureeee they can handle themselves but at the same time, it's just that.... They could end up in some worst situations that not even Lavander would want to consider.

That's when after it took her some moments, To see a armor clad woman, Two faunuses, and a guy which makes up a random bunch of four. She caught sight of the smaller girl whom who had attacked the King Taijutsu and noted some of the fallen Nevermore. Guess It's nothing much she could do, But heck. She'll wait for her chance.

Anya Borealis

"Yeah I can walk and chew gum at the same time. But here's the thing... Their here." Anya began speaking wanting to retort at the girl's rude remark but from the corner of her eye, she saw a Grimm approaching their way. After that one another one, till a whole pack of them came within a quick succession. Anya took out her knight's star ready to strike, looked back at Carlisle, and said. "First off I'm no leader material, second off... Fight like hell!"

Anya ran a counter charge to Beowulf which was charging at her, and just before the two would collide Anya used her weapon like a vaulting pole to jump above the creature, now in the air, Anya swiftly transformed her weapon from its polearm mode to its bow form, and pulled the drawstring hard infusing the arrow which formed from hard light with her own aura causing her semblance to activate on the arrow. As Anya began falling down she released an arrow into Beowulf's neck, the arrow piercing into its hide before exploding into a spiky mess of hard ice wounding the creature even more, albeit not quite killing it outright, it did cause the creature much pain, as the ice shards dug deeper and deeper into its flesh, with frost forming sheets of ice over the creature slowly freezing it to death.

When Anya landed on the creature's back it already couldn't do much except do poor attempts at howling when its bottom jaw was frozen solid. Knowing that this move of hers uses up lots of aura she knew she only had three more shots of it today, so she saved them for later. A bit reluctantly she switched to her regular pack of arrows, albeit they were doped with a bit of combustion dust to explode when they stopped moving after being fired. Anya loaded two of those arrows to her bow at once and took a running start from the Grimm she was standing on eventually jumping off its head to gain some height, though she did not expect another Beowulf to use its frozen brethren as a stepping stool to try and catch her, so albeit a bit out of reflex Anya unloaded both the arrows into the Grimm's open maw that was trying to bite here.

The distance between her target and herself wasn't big, it was too close honestly, as the shockwave from those two explosions threw Anya towards the ground though it did destroy that Grimms face, and the impact of its landing on a rock nearby killed it on. It was as Anya was preparing another volley of arrows that she heard Dinah scream out for help. That moment of hesitation, nearly caused Anya to be attacked, but thankfully she managed to duck just enough for the Beowulf to pounce above her.

The situation wasn't good, but she had to do something, with a quick and probably not-so-smart idea Anya took out five combustion arrows from her quiver and started loading them with her aura, albeit she didn't charge most of them fully, with only two being charged enough to replicate her previous move. She then loaded them on her bow and drew her drawstring as hard as she could while dodging the attacks of the Beowulf near her, when she finally had a good aim at her target she yelled out to the two others. "Can one of you get Dinah out of there? I'm gonna distract the big one."

When she saw one of them move to help Dinah, she unleashed her five combustion arrows onto the alpha Beowulf. The three combustion arrows with less aura in them Anya directed to hit the Alpha into the back of his knees and at his rear, in the try to topple him down a bit, as well as having the fully charged ones hit besides themselves on the creatures shoulder blades hoping it would immobilize its arms for a bit. Truthfully while this use of her semblance could kill a regular Grimm, it wouldn't do much to an alpha, though those two balls of ice at the alpha's shoulder are bound to make its attack slower, as well as it should have done some damage.

Ashryn let her fangs glint as Shin'ya spoke to her, her eyes flashing with her determination as she gave a bow of her head to the other faunus, white and black ears flicking back as she finished off the Ursa with little issue before jumping into a tree, her piercing silvery blue orbs eyeing the King Taijitu carefully. Slit pupils were obvious as the girl gave a soft growl of annoyance as she watched Ilyas fight. Aiming an arrow and knocking out a Beowolf that was attempting to sneak up on the soldier before focusing on her aura.

"Duck!" Came a soft warning, barely audible except to the other faunus in the group, her eyes flashing dangerously as she aimed and fired two arrows at the snake-like Grimm, smirking with one fang poking from her lip. The arrows each held a tip that was infused with dust, though these two were her usual fire-dust-tipped ones. She quickly tapped into her semblance, allowing the snowflakes to fall as she vanished and reappeared on the other side, an arrow already loaded and fired before she vanished again - reappearing back in the tree to pause and take a breath, feeling her aura dip dangerously low as she grit her teeth.

Too busy fighting with checking her aura levels, the girl didn't see the Grimm before it was too late and a harsh tail whack sent her skidding through trees, her eyes widening as she felt her aura flicker dangerously. She could feel a few wounds on her arm and one ear held a scratch down it, blood dying the ivory and black fur and hair a crimson color. Her tail lashed as she hissed, her fingernails growing out to claw-like nails as she narrowed her eyes, awaiting the next order from Shin'ya.

Falling out of the sky was not exactly how Bress had planned to enter school, well for all she knew that was the normal being from the far flung country a formal education was not something she had, but judging by how the others had reacted she assumed it was not normal. As far as the fall Bress had pretty much just jumped out of the air ship with little hassle as she used her semblance to negate the sucking depressurization trying to pull her out till she was ready. She fell through the sky feet first a streak of red as her semblance started to gather the energy from the air as she fell and fell down through the sir then the branches till she landed. What she was supposed to do was not exactly clear so she figured she would just wander around and find others they would hopefully have a better plan than her.

The plan was simple and that was how Bress liked things go in a straight line and end up at the goal no need for complex twists and turns. Her idea of fighting grimm was similar advance at them and then kill them. Still this was a forest taken by the Grimm so Bress figured she would just take it back, this wasn't her first time she had been fighting the Grimm for years now and had first fought them in the dark, this was northing. As if responding to her thoughts the forest seemed to come alive around her as she started on her path a smile on her face as she pulled the stone sword off her back the massive sheathed sword looking like a hammer almost as tall as her with a shaped boulder on the end. it had none of the elegance or grace of other's weapons, not complex transformations and was a tool of destruction all its design put into creating maximum impact.

it would be some time latter and several grimm killed that Bress would start to hear the sounds of others Still there there more grimm. There were always more girmm and Bress would just keep fighting till the grimm were gone. that was how she had always worked fight, and fight , and fight. If her aura broke keep fighting, if she got hurt keep fighting, if it was raining keep fighting it was a single minded as one could get, if there were grimm she would kill them. Before she could find the others serval ursas appeared before bress filled with the bloodlust that was their kinds only emotion. Three v one that was unfair they needed more grimm. Bress focused on one and swung the stone sword her almost unnatural strength sending the boulder on a stick through the air at a deceptively fast speed before there was a brief flash of purple light as the gravity crystal within activated for the briefest of moments and the already monstrous impact was further amplified the ursa quite literally shattering into goo and white fragments.

The other grimm not caring for their fellow had not been idle and both as lasted out with tree destroying slashes that would send most hunters flying or completely eviscerate and civilian with no aura, but the moment they encounters Bress the claws lost their power. The strikes thrown in blind rage were little more than the softest caress on her tanned skin. As the urasas were stunned by their lost power a red light from bress herself grew as their energy was hers. The stone sword which had finished its deadly arc and slain one foe quickly was brought up even as the urasas needing only a split second to try again lashed out once more. There was no attempt to dodge or to twist to turn the blows as the stone sword reached its zenith high above Bress's head and horns before she brought it down. The Grimm likewise not caring for defense both tried to use their great strength that could tear down building of stone to hit their foe from opposite sides by pure chance. Yet as their blows connected again their attacks didn't seem to do anything as the stone sword was brought down.

The stone sword arced down with no grace only killing intent as to connected with the head of the bear like grimm. Somehow this blow was more brutal than before as the glow around Bress both flared up and died down and the grimm hit her and she hit back. again the gravity crystal flared her blow now energized by enhanced gravity and they very blows of the enemy and bress herself came down and the urasa could not withstand it. The grimm was crushed and gone long before the ear splitting boom that followed as the stone sword impacted the ground and instead of simply hitting the ground there was a crater as if one of the fragments of the shattered moon had fallen upon the spot.

That was two down and one to go and for a second Bress thought perhaps it felt fear a flicker of uncertainty seemed to cross it's face, btu she knew better than to believe these things could think. They were less than beasts, they were blood and death and destruction. They were to be hunted down and exterminated killed until there were none left. Bress pulled the stone sword up from the impact crater and as she did she started to spin hitting the ursa in the side as the glow vanished around her though purple light flashed as the ursa was not given a chance to react was the stone sword impacted with its gut and it was sent flying. The grimm was sent through several trees not quite dead from the hit but as it flew into a clearing it dissolved.

As Bress walked into the clearing over the tress she had sent the grimm through, the stone sword over her shoulder she survived the scene. Several students and a teacher surrounded by grim. The ursa being sent flying from before and the crashing would of course draw attention. Serval more ursa would take notice and the other hunters might if they had time notice despite having assumedly fought alone Bress didn't seem at all injured not even the superficial ones people tended to get in fights that aura didn't seem to prevent. Bress brought the stone sword down from her shoulder holding it ready to attack , but not defend as she started walking forward like an unstoppable force her aura emitting a soft red light as she advanced at her foes.

The wolf faunus gave no reply, but Liserian could guess they were fine on their own. All of the ladies were hyperfocused on damaging the Taijitu. Adrenaline running high without any of them bothering to try and work together properly. At least they were all on the same page about taking care of the snake first. Liserian had to retreat a little far away to handle his wounded left arm, but the black head’s focus was now on him to keep it distracted. Liserian may be a hunter, but he hasn’t encountered anything bigger than an ursa before. King Taijitu, Nevermore, avoided those. He wasn’t about to lose his life over them. Handling something bigger than himself was challenging for him. He wasn’t as tough as the knight or determined. If anything, all of this was a a drag to him. Still, he’s putting himself on the line to help his classmates see the light of day, and that’s what he’s going to do.

”I can easily decapitate this snake if I could just get it off my back and reach a higher ground. I need momentum.”

Liserian stumbled, he was too into his head to realize the black head was about to strike him to his end. That’s when the knight did the coolest trick ever, they kicked the ivory head’s fang into its counterpart’s eye thus saving his skin. Liserian moved out of the way just in time for the knight to cause serious damage. The one dubbed boss lady had launched themselves to blind the blackhead altogether. What immense power. He could sense both of them, but not all three of them held an intense fire in them unlike himself.

The leopard faunus blitzed in and out leaving a trail of snowflakes. It was like being graced by the snow queen’s dance. Maybe he was describing a fairy, but overall, he was inspired to give his best. He adjusts his shades and rolls his sleeves up. Just then, an Ursa had snuck up from behind. Liserian was quick to dodge and bring down his blade on its arm. He spun his scythe and thrust himself forward from the boost of his gun. He sliced upward gutting the grimm from the bottom to the top of his head.

Following right behind the dissipating Ursa are two beowolves. Liserian ran up to them and dodged with a roll just as they pounced. He kicks the edge of the staff giving it enough force to pierce the beowolf’s spine. The other tries to claw him, but he risks an attack to kick the grimm away while he ends the one in his hold with one swift tug. Again he twirls the scythe and decapitates the Grimm. Now Liserian’s attention redirects back to King Taijitu. With the knight and the leopard flung to the side, the wolf faunus was on her own and the white snake could easily attack her. He had to be quick. That’s what using a double-bladed scythe is for. Liserian triggers his gun to shoot him off the ground and mount the white snake’s head. It bucked and hissed. He could sense its burning rage from battling the knight. It was over them.

”As tempting as it is to hurt you, you’re not mine to kill.” He had already agreed to give the knight the chance to end it when they first charged at it. Liserian jumped at the right time when the snake bucked giving him the chance to shoot himself into the air, stunning the whitehead for a moment while he spun his body and shot upward again and aimed his blade down the back length of the black head. His blade stuck deep into its back, Liserian held on tight trying to push it further to end it but to no avail. ”Oh, come on! Stupid tough scales!” So much for heroics. It was up to either girls to end the snake and he was already fed up with it.

Nahlia sighed as the wolves began to make themselves known… and that girl behind her was still talking. If they were here, why had she tried to start asking questions and wasting time explaining her Semblance? Just fight and they could all do it later! Ugh… Nahlia threw her luggage into some nearby bushes and did the same thing with her backpack. Now unburdened, she was ready for the fight.

Letting the blade of her axe fall to the ground, she dragged it in the dirt and walked towards an approaching beowulf. When it lunged, she brought it up, cleaving through its stomach, causing it to disappear into mist. She let go as Drowning Machine reached its apex, giving one side a slight flick when she let go, causing the blade to rotate. She grabbed it again once the blade was facing down, and brought it down on another, cleaving it in half as well. With the axe now embedded in the ground, she used the handle that stuck up at a 45-degree angle to dodge more incoming attacks. By pushing off it with her leg and dodging by gaining height. Where she met a beowulf jumping at her. Its swipe caught her tail, which thanks to her aura, was fine. But the grimm wasn’t. Its leg that swiped at Nahlia was was now unusable, thanks to her venom.

She landed on the handle of her axe, and the speed at which she did caused the other end to fly up out of the ground and hit the poisoned grimm under the jaw with the blunt end of Drowning machine. It fell to the ground where Nahlia finished it off with a bullet through the skull.

It was at this moment when Nahlia had a moment to breathe. She took in the sights of the battlefield around her. More grimm just waiting in the treeline. The people around her seemed to be doing alright themselves, until she saw the feline faunus from earlier simply cowering and screaming for help before the beowulf alpha. Seriously? Well, some people just weren’t cut out to be huntresses. Too bad she didn’t know the other girl, as she’d just use her semblance and boom! She’d be safe! But whatever, it didn’t matter.

Nahlia was too far away to be of any help, and the archer girl seemed really nonchalant about her friend being feet away from an alpha, simply asking someone to get her out of here. Unless one of the three had a semblance she wasn’t aware of, that girl was definitely going to take some damage. The guy was closer than Nahlia and could probably make it in time, and the aquatic faunus hoped he could. She also wondered how the fox faunus would manage to distract that alpha that was face to face with the feline. It probably had tunnel vision, and there was no distracting it now. Not with a meal right in front of it.

Well, it wasn’t her problem.

Raising her rifle so she could use the scope, she would pick off the beowulf that occasionally ventured out from the brush. It seemed they were getting more and more hesitant to attack as their kin were chopped up and evaporated into black mist. She’d let the others deal with that whole situation and keep the remaining beowulves off their backs.

"Now honestly not too sure what direction we should go umm maybe towards any sounds of fighting if there grim this close to the school they might be attacking it or we find other students either way seems like going towards problems might be our best bet right now" asher would say with a thoughtful hum in regards to tiffy question though he'd not thought to introduce himself just yet that could probably wait till later all thing considered.

his attention was turned to another person making their entrance by yoinking a grim and shooting it another guy it seemed little on the girly side in appearance, but clearly still a guy whom introduced himself as Felix, "hey my names Asher nice to meet all of you guys guess we are gonna be working together for the moment" he'd say with a muted hum no real tone of concern in his voice at all. Autumn however made the mistake of assuming felix was infact a girl asher chuckled a bit. "no I'm pretty sure there a he Mr Autum and yes the whole fire and stuff was me, needed the heat to fry an Ursua so I had to make a bit of a forest fire to do it, worked out pretty well tho I should think" asher would say with a confident nod.

the group soon found itself assaulted by Boartusk, asher letting out a small huff of annoyance at it all, raising his sword cannon again aiming towards the goliath someone else swooped into to help them a professional hunter it seemed or more likely one of the teachers. "oh thanks for the assist I think we should be able to handle it with all five of us here" asher would yell over too the man sword cannon firing towards the goliath primarily at its feet to trip to up form chasing Autum it was better it targeted him anyway, since at the moment half there little adhock team was in panick hopefully it would catch its attention when its stride was broken by and explosive shell.

"Mmmh..." A quiet groan escaped Shin'ya's lips as she lay where she fell. The kind of sound that she used to make when Shoko tried to wake her after coming back from a night of hunting. Shin'ya would stay awake all night awaiting her, only to fall asleep before sunrise. It was something of a routine for them, if not a healthy one. But this time, no one was coming to wake her up. If she continued to lie there, she might never wake up again.

With that thought in mind, Shin'ya rose to her feet, her shoulders feeling like they were weighed down by piles of stone. The Taijitu was on its last legs, as it were. If it were an animal, it would be bleeding out just fine, and a prospective hunter could track it until it fell, and rose no more. But the malformed creatures of Grimm never died so cleanly, and it would behoove them to help it along. With all its thrashing and tearing in its dying throes, it could cause no small amount of collateral damage to the area.

Blinded in both eyes, the black head thrashed and snapped heedlessly, aiming to bring down whatever it could in its rage. Even in Shin'ya's current condition, it was not impossible to avoid. But she had to let it aim true, for what she was about to do.

"Miss Archer." She rasped at Ashryn. "Help the knight. Finish off its body."

As she spoke, the Taijitu's head came at her head on, like a train running at top speed. Shin'ya hissed a breath, and...

Leapt onto its lower lip.

Shoko would have been big enough, her arm span wide enough with Ikazuchi and Inazuma, to just tear it apart like this.

But Shin'ya was small. She did not have Ikazuchi and Inazuma. But she would never once do less than she could with what she had.

The maw attempted to close. It was a small mercy that Shin'ya could easily fit between its fangs. Locking her leg and her prosthetic arm in place, she braced its lips, holding it slightly open. This was the last meaningful thing she could likely do today. Time to put all she had left into it.

She drew a circle with her thumb in the palm of her left hand, maximizing Raimei's power output for what she was about to do. She did not even take half a breath's time to channel the last of her Aura into her left arm, putting all her strength into it.

Desperate to shake off the small and hostile intruder in its mouth, the Taijitu reacted as one might when biting down on a swarm of bees. It continued to hurtle forward on its way, smashing into a tree and uprooting it as it went. Ironically, its lips protected Shin'ya from the brunt of the impact, though her leg wrenched and her right arm flexed, pulling at its mechanical elbow.

There was no time to lose.

Shin'ya drew Raimei down, and then punched straight upwards, as high as she could reach. She allowed each impact to twist her arm back downwards, chambering the next punch in a series of blows.

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

With the final blow, the black head of the Taijitu flew several meters into the air, leaving behind its dislocated jaw, where Shin'ya slumped over in the rapidly decaying matter.

She was utterly spent, her left arm numb and hanging by her side with Raimei's weight, and a gash torn into her right upper arm through her jacket as the Taijitu's fangs splintered, though thankfully it seemed like no venom had gotten into her.

1728473511829.png"I said... Let! GO!" Shoving Destiny deep into the maw of the beast, dragging the whole Ursa to her left side then to her left with the strength enhanced by her own semblance. Glittering hands along her milky white aura. Shaking the Grimm's jaw lose by swing the Ursa to the right. Miraculously losing a few teeth for Destiny to slide out of its mouth. One step back and a spring pole vault of Destiny on the soil. Tiffany jumps upwards, Left black shoe pointing straight and raised to the sky. Letting her body timber forward, the ursa is met with a timbering axe kick from above. Het shoe chopping dead center into the ursa's hard skull. Down it meets the ground, no recovery from rising, lying motionless. Two Beowolves lopes behind her from a distance.

"Destiny, Guide my hands..." The staff's golden glows light blue, hardlight dust ling accents across the staff. With a swift turn of her foot, a streak of blue light shoots out sweeping above the heads of her team and trimming the branches of the distant trees. The two beowolves were cut in half clean, turned into fading Ash by the time they reached her shoes. Still yet to address the Goliath in the battlefield. Tiffany took opportunity of Asher's explosive diversion. Tiffany was from the boys. This position gave her an opening with that huge Grimm turned against her, its bony carapace face cannot be punctured easily even with Destiny's piercing lasers.

"AGNO FOS!!!" A thick beam of light strikes the right main body of the Goliath. Sizzling as it exposed the red undercoat of the Grimm, unfortunately this gash was only a small opening. About as big as a cannonball, as it quickly turns to face Tiffany as the laser scrapes its face. "L-leave them alone!" Commanding in a meek tone. The Goliath stares down the girl before roaring to the skies as if commanding its cohort Grimm to tear such a small huntress into pieces. Only half of the Grimm followed and charged to Tiffany. The Goliath picks up a small boulder and slam throws it straight to the girl. Krackhm! The boulder shatters upon impact. Dust and powder conceals the fate of Tiffany.

The dust settles. A glow of cyan shines out. It was a hardlight bubble shield caging herself in. The Grimm are scratching and pouncing the indestructible shield. Tiffany is inside the the shield, eyes closed and anchoring her staff down on the ground. She appears to be praying? Or focusing herself to the staff's shield as her gloved hands glow the same colors. She impervious to outside damage but she too is immovable until the shield is down. The Goliath clearly frustrated at the state of Tiffany. It primes it foot, scraping the soil. Readying a devastating charge to break Tiffany's bubble shield.

Mizu Mifune
Mizu maneuvered the other chain sword to his left hand so he could hold both of them in one hand, he then took out the sheath he had attached to his hip and with a swift flick of the wrist transformed it into a shotgun. He then aimed at Boarbatusk head and unloaded a few rounds into its head from a close distance dusting the creature. Having done that Mizu changed one of his chain swords back into its katana form and sheathed it into his other sheath, he then looked at the Grimm around him, at the Alpha Grimm, and cracked a smile under his mask, he then said to the kids.
"I will hold off the other Grimm, you kids focus on the Alpha, after all the first test we wanted to give you at the academy was fighting an Alpha Grimm, so consider it an early test done under pressure."
After those words Mizu took a running start position with a katana in one hand and a shotgun in the other and bolted into the enemy line, slashing at some Grimm's joints and shooting the shotgun where a Grimm's brain or heart would be, before quickly moving to another Grimm, sure he might not have killed some of the Grimm this way but he was getting their attention, thus lessening the pressure from the students. At some point, he heard Autumn's words and responded loudly with a bit of a sinister chuckle.
"Oooh planning to leave so quickly, leave your companions behind? Well, at least I know who the kids will come to haunt at night as a Gheist because of their cowardice. ARE YOU A HUNTSMAN OR WHAT? If you don't break out of your fears and traumas now, while you have help, then you will only die out there in the field. So I advise you, get to work or else I will make your life a living nightmare!"
Trying to reason with a Grimm, wanting to leave his companions behind, being so fearful that they hide behind their companions, that type of person would die easily out in the field, especially if they lived the same type of life Mizu did. But Autumn probably didn't he needed to get his mind in the game or else he would never amount to a great huntsman, but at the same time, that's what the huntsman academies were here for. Mizu sighed internally, as he himself realized, this was Haven, not Atlas, those kids weren't soldiers, and he probably was too tough with his words, It was too late for that now, though might apologize after all this was over.

What he did not expect though was for two of the kids to actually work together right now, that explosive shell and laser to the Goliath was a magnificent display of teamwork... At least for people who met for the first time, but he couldn't hold the kids to the standards of Ace Ops nor Spec Ops, as that would require torturous years of training. When Mizu saw the Goliath preparing for a charge, he flipped his body over and onto some Grimm, taking out his other katana, changing their dust to hard light before throwing two of his katanas onto the path Goliath would take and activating his semblance creating a relatively small but sturdy wall in the Goliaths way, hoping that it would trip the beast during its charge. However, this action left Mizu with just two of his shotguns. As the Grimm he was standing on began to rodeo to throw him off he grasped his other shotgun and loaded both of them with Earth Dusts with the idea of increasing its ammo heft thus power. After doing so he shot the Grimm he was standing on with both of his shotguns dusting it, and as he fell he began spinning shooting at any Grimm around him while moving slowly away from the kids.
