1727343325801.pngThis boy was definitely mild mannered. He had a lamp on him which she mistook as an exaggerated accessory more than a tool of self defense. This the only time she took a good look of the small talker. He is lively despite the rather solemn look of his resting face. She had already met accidental eye contact with some of her soon-to-be classmates. Finishing the rest of the sandwich then looking directly into his eyes. With her lips slowly opening.

"...I'm T--" Airship comms went off with an announcement to Haven Academy. The moment she and all are waiting for. An academy that she has trained up to this very moment. She took one big breath and leaned towards the glass window to get a glimpse in the horizon.

Darkness floods the windows and inside the ship. It was dim, jump scared and taken aback, she fell to the cold floor. The whole airship had a flurry of emotions. A new instruction was being given to the Haven students. Jump off the low altitude ship.

She can see it all. Standing dead center in the cabin. The buzzing Lancers swarming and poking the turbulent airship, her new classmates taking to arms without hesitation, gunfire and smoke of the airship right outside. Her body froze, the TV slowly turning into static when the boy who was speaking to her earlier started shaking the rather large TV. Enough to shake her out of shock. "Wait! Calm--! Kya!" The airship was being torn be tethering stingers. Tiffany lost her balance. Sliding and rolling out of the opened back ramp. She failed to grab her weapon, Destiny. She fell out of the airship. Ears ringing and a zoned out stare. She felt her body become light. She can only see the morning sky, the assaulted airship with a burning under hull, leaving the students behind. Destiny was in front of her but out of reach. Her hands can only reach out in vain. Everyone was using the Lancers as their own landing platform/techniques, some using their semblance or own landing style. In her hopeless freefall she simply closed her eyes.

A voice broke out into in the wind and an embrace around herself. Her amethyst eyes is graced by the panicking red boy earlier. There were a dozen Lancers coming for him but his explosive semblance knocked them all back. Small explosions followed up to soften the fall. The last few seconds were a blur as she only hugged him for incoming painful landing. Even carrying another person with him. This lantern boy manages to land them both safely. Not without a scratch. The boy groans in pain but didn't seem to be any hindered injury at the cost of her complete safety.

"Oh no! I'm s-sorry!" Immediately getting back on her feet as to no longer weigh him down. She looks around the forest, the swarmed airship almost out of sight now, then the falling students who have landed in quite some distance.

"I'm fine... Thank you. Can you walk?" Her eyes in complete worry of the boy more than where she is. There were shifting shadows everywhere and ominous howling and growling from the trees and bushes. "We have to find everyone! I-I saw someone land over there!" Pointing westward, which seems to be the last point where a tall Faunus student has landed. Tiffany jogs with Destiny in hand. The magic staff designed weapon doesn't seem to appear activated at all.

Mizu Mifune

"The last transit before I become a teacher... Could have been worse." Is what Mizu said while he layed across the rafters in the airship's main hall, his habits from the spec ops still held strongly onto him and didn't allow him to mingle with the soon to be his students, what he did not expect was the airship being attacked. Mizu watched as the students were ripped apart from their standings and out of the back ramp, he then thought to himself if he should go after them or not, but he heard the communication from his Scroll so he had no choice.

He turned around to the helmsman and yelled. "You better land this baby where you said. I'm going to go with the kids." Before walking off the back ramp and beginning his free fall to the ground, the fall felt long but in reality, it was quite short. And as he approached the ground he took out his twin katanas and with their chain sword forms whipped two Lancers and used them to cushion his fall. Now on the ground, Mizu tapped an earpiece he had and sent a message to the other teachers. "Mizu landed, gonna shadow a group of students to safety."
After doing so Mizu began to sneak around and looking for students, till he saw a small girl with glasses and what looked like a magical girl wand. As she was the first student he saw he decided to shadow her and whatever students gathered around her to safety.

It was a good idea to use this situation as a test, not helping them too much only taking care of Grimm which they would not be able to handle in this situation, or the ones hiding in ambush so to ease up their situation was his choice. Though he had yet so see a Grimm other than the Lancers up above, but still he needed to keep the vigil up.

Emile’s eyes widened as he saw Felix’s semblance in action, giving Felix a small round of applause. “That’s an interesting ability. My ability feels tame in comparison, watch.” Emile took a deep breath and began focusing aura to his fingertips. Threads began to form from his fingers, wrapping around the half-eaten apple in his other hand. He then lifted the apple from his hand and did a little “Ta-Da~” motion. “It ain’t all that, but I’ve been working hard to try and perfect it. Hopefully it’ll pay off.” He said as he made the threads disappear and caught the apple with his hand. “It makes me wonder if-“ Suddenly, the rumbling of the airship interrupted Emile. He looked out the window to see a bunch of Grimm surrounding the airship. Seeing this, he quickly got his weapon case and opened it, revealing Widow and Weaver. Once he strapped the two blades to his wrists, he looked around to see that Felix has left without him which kinda sucked. He was really beginning to like that guy, but right now that should be the least of his worries. He put the bag of apples in his weapon case and slung it over his shoulder. He grinned as he rushed towards the exit and jumped into the Grimm-infested sky head first. “I’m about to make a name for myself here!”

Observing his surroundings, Emile saw a stray Lancer within his path. This was the perfect opportunity to get some experience with fighting Grimm, especially in midair. You never know what type of battlefield you’ll find yourself in these encounters. Emile began to close in on the stray lancer, throwing one of his blades at it. Once Widow pierced its flesh, it began to flail around in a panic. This made Emile flail around as well. He then threw Weaver at the Lancer and with one tug of the chains, the chains retracted to pull him in closer to the lancer. The lancer retaliated by extending its stinger out, which Emile swiftly dodged and countered by removing Widow from its body and slicing the stinger. Then Emile used Widow once more to wrap the chain around the disoriented grimm’s neck. With one big tug, the chain retracted, beheading to Grimm. As the Grimm turned to dust, Emile realized that he was still falling. “Damnit. Forgot about that.”

As Emile was quickly descending to the forest below, he quickly formed his threads down into the treetops, hoping that it would grapple onto a branch or something. Once he felt something tug on his thread, he quickly zipped towards it in hopes that it would mitigate any fall damage. He then tried to land on a branch but slipped and tumbled onto the ground. “Gah! So much for a smooth landing…” He got up and dusted himself off, observing his surroundings. He suddenly felt a shockwave not to far off from where he landed. Being naturally curious, he ventured towards where the shockwave came from, wondering if it was cargo or something like that. “Please be something good.”

Emile arrived at the crater, looking around to see whatever caused this, only to find another student. At first he was in disbelief. How could a crater be caused by a single student. He walked towards the crater. “Oi, are you okay? I felt ya crash down just a few feet away from here.” As Emile got closer and closer, he finally got a good look at the student(?). He was shocked on how massive he was. Never before had he saw muscles that big before. “Woah, you uh, are quite huge my friend. You sure you’re a student?”

Ashryn lashed out at a Grimm with an arrow, her eyes flashing toward a voice as a blonde-haired woman in armor called out to her. A flash of ivory fang peeked out of her lips before she shrugged. "I am fine." Her voice was quiet, almost barely audible, and had a hint of a rumble to it - courtesy of her faunus heritage. Her heels clicked on the ground as she whirled about, her ears catching a sound behind her before she shot an arrow at an approaching Lancer. As Ryn finished firing her arrow she almost immediately had another loaded, launching herself against a tree into an elegant flip before shooting another Lancer from above - twirling and landing in a crouched position. Her eyes almost glowed as she tilted her head, almost taunting the Grimm from her position.

Her bright orbs turned slightly to take stock of Ilyas, her teeth flashing as she nodded her head slightly. "While I may not need help, I do believe according to school standards we are stuck together" Her soft tone was slightly accented if one listened closely enough. Her skirt flared around her legs as she stood up, her tail appearing more like a white and black rosette-furred belt around her waist. Her silvery white and black hair was still out of her face, pulled back with a bandana tied around her head, which also served to hide her pinned-back ears. The snow leopard faunus kept an eye on approaching Grimm, standing so she had her back to Ilyas as she grinned fiercely, firing another arrow from her weapon and giving a slight laugh at the explosion the dust-infused tip caused.

As she descended from her fierce uppercut against the Lancer, Shin'ya noticed two figures grouped together on the grass, covering each other in preparation for further assault. A graceful fellow Faunus with a bow, and...an armored, knightly figure, brimming with strength just from their posture.

Her gaze swept over them. It was something of a cliche in hunter literature that the allies you found yourself banding with during your initiation or first major battle would be your team, at least for the duration of your training. A cliche, yes, but one consistently attested to by the generations of hunters that came before.

She hit the ground with a roll, sucking in another deep breath and springing forward to land next to the duo, acknowledging them with little more than a nod and a quiet "Mm."

Amidst the chaos, a Boarbatusk broke loose from the swarm, charging straight at the trio, head held low in preparation to gore them.

A typical maneuver. Shin'ya had trained for this.

What would a hunter do?

What would...Shoko do?

She ducked and took a single wide step forward, like a boxer ducking under a wide hook. Planting her feet, she thrust her arms forward and upward, her aura straining to support her frail body as both hands grabbed the beast's tusks from below as it made contact, provoking a furious roar from the beast.

With a hiss of steam, Raimei flexed around her left hand, crushing one of the Grimm's tusks. In a rage, it flailed and bellowed, threatening to fling Shin'ya away. Her metallic right hand held on tight to the other tusk, but could do no more immediately.

If one of her new companions could capitalise on the opportunity...

Situation: Tired, low on Aura, feeling sheepish

Bhima stifled a yawn, quickly placing a hand over his mouth. He didn’t want to risk letting his Semblance affect anyone nearby, especially not this new guy who looked like he still had plenty of energy to burn. With a soft sigh, he pulled out a large thermos from his satchel and twisted off the cap. He took a slow, deliberate sip of his lemon-infused tea. The tea wouldn’t help his Aura, which was running dangerously low after that rough landing, but it would give him just enough of a boost to avoid yawning continuously.

"Ah, much better." he muttered, feeling slightly more awake. He glanced at the new comer, who still seemed to be in disbelief at the scene around him. The curious expression on his face was understandable, given the crater he had created and the splintered trees scattered everywhere.

"Apologies for the commotion." Bhima said politely, his voice calm. "I... had a bit more speed coming down than I anticipated. The trees didn’t stand a chance." A small grin tugged at the corner of his lips as he recalled the rather dramatic crash landing.

He chuckled softly at the second question, clasping his hand together and nodding his head in a friendly gesture. "Indeed, I am. My name is Bhima. It's a pleasure to meet you." His demeanor polite and relaxed despite the chaos surrounding them. "As for the landing, well, it wasn’t exactly graceful. I tried to recall what my father taught me about using Aura outside the body, but I may have… overdone it a bit."

He glanced around at the shattered trees and the crater beneath his feet. "Still, I suppose it could have been worse."

Autumn sat up as Tiff jumped off. He rubbed his lower back hoping to soothe it with the friction of his palm. It was a relief the blonde was doing ok. ”It’s all good. I’m just glad you’re safe.” He shot her a smile before picking himself off the ground and dusted off any dirty stuck to his clothes. ”Yeah, I can walk, thankfully.” It would be a disaster if he broke his spine on impact. He probably would have died or been paralyzed, but overall, his adventure would be over just as he was starting. He would be a laughing stock.

The sound of the engine from a falling airship caught his attention. The buzzing of Lancers suddenly snapped him back to reality. Those dang creepy insects crawling all over the windows gave him goosebumps. Autumn jumps in his stand and hugs himself. Already, he was freaking out. They were in the middle of the woods, lost with nowhere to go. Haven Academy is close by, but they have no sense of direction. They were doomed, and he had to protect the lady from her death. ”Oh God! We’re gonna get found and torn into pieces by Lancers. It’s all over, b-but not to worry. I will p-protect you.”

Anxiety spikes, and Autumn yelps once he hears growling and howling amongst the trees and shrubs. Just hearing the sounds of wolves had Autumn frozen and struck with nostalgia.”Beowolfs? You gotta be kidding me!” He screeched then slammed a hand over his mouth realizing his mistake. He could very well place Tiff in danger with his whining and give out their location. He’s supposed to be brave for her, but instead he’s cowering.

It was truly a blessing that Tiff was calm in this disastrous moment otherwise they would both be stuck in the same boat. ”Everyone?” Right they weren’t the only ones. How stupid of him. His priorities were a mess at the moment, but at least it’s better than sitting down. Still, there is an unsettling feeling in his stomach. ”W-wait don’t just run off in a random direction without being careful. There could be hungry Beowolfs for all we know. Hey!” It was no good, Tiff had already bolted and was being left behind. Autumn had a job to protect her, but also free Jack from his bindings. He spins the chain in a direction and unhooks his weapon free before chasing Tiff to who knows where.

Carlisle was the last person to get to his feet, “I’m not whining I’m simply saying---” that’s when the other spoke and he was taken aback by her statement, “The hell kind of statement is that.” he says as he watches them walk away from him. He let out a sign and looked back at the dead lancer as it dissolved into black fragments and blown away by a small gust of wind. It wasn’t that he was sad his ride died but it could of turned out WAAAY worse than it did. He let out a sign and rubbed the back of his head before he followed after the two female students.

After going through some thick bushes and getting hit in the face by a stray branch, they found the female student the other was talking about. She was currently laying on the floor, her chest raising and falling and a look of relief on her face. Carlisle looked at her cautiously while the other two checked to make sure she was ok. He was looking at their surroundings not liking where they were. Too many places to hide and easy to be snuck up on.

It all happened so fast. One minute he was taking a nap in the corner drooling, arms crossed on the floor, snoring and the next he was sucked out of an airship surrounded by Lancers. Anyone would think to wake up to the turbulence and the coms going off. Nope, not this guy. That was due to his previous decision to be up all night working on his concoctions rather than resting for a road trip. He said his goodbyes in the form of spiteful words to his grandfather. He didn’t want to be in school but reluctantly agreed as he was coaxed by the amount of knowledge he could obtain, the books of every caliber at his hands. That was the only agreement even if his grandfather was harsh on him. It was for his own good, but Liserian refused to give up. His dreams and his sister’s health were his priority.

’This is great! Just freakin’ dandy. What idiot decided to fly en route towards Lancers?’

Liserian was fully awake now that he was falling to his doom. Watching the airship be covered in Lancers and practically explode with probably everyone’s luggage in it. Thankfully, all of his belongings were in his grasp. In his duffle bag backpack. He couldn’t deny one thing, he felt sorry for the pilots despite his annoyance. Now was not the time to mourn. He had to figure out a way to land safely at such a height. The students around him fought valiantly in mid-air using their skills to survive. One used the Lancers as stepping stones, others used their weapons, semblances, or even makeshift cloaks to get down. He had to think on his feet. He wasn’t used to situations like these. He was a hunter. He worked better on land. He knows his way around a forest. They were all the same if they knew what they were doing.

The buzzing sounds brought the plum-haired male out of his thoughts. A Lancer was making its way toward him. Red shades cover his gaze as he makes a low growl of annoyance. ”Damn bugs. Do you want to fight? Then by all means.” Liserian pulls out Kane strapped to his back and extends it into a scythe. He quickly builds momentum by spinning it and then swinging his scythe horizontally decapitating it. He used the body to lunge himself toward the ground. Along the way, he spun and slashed his way through. As soon as he was inching close to the ground, Liserian used the rod of his scythe to hang onto a Lancer by its neck. It cried and bucked for a chance to throw him off but kicked up at its face to get him to obey. If there is anything he has learned is that animals respond to alphas and he was going to show dominance against a Grimm. ”Fly straight ya mangy, bug. It’s the least you can do for disturb my sleep.”

A smirk crossed his lips finally able to ditch the Lancer by decapitating it and using Kane to hook on a thick branch spin himself and hook onto another branch thus hanging from his position. His foot rests on the other blade as he looks around to make sure he’s safe in his surroundings. He could hear growling from various places. The forest must carry Grimm meaning he has to be careful as do the rest of his classmates. Maybe he should search for them and make sure they’re safe even if they are capable of taking care of themselves. A group is better than being alone where the predator is bound to take their chances for a meal.

Liserian activates his semblance and uses the heat to his advantage. He spots a couple of heat signatures up ahead. ”Whelp! Better get walking.” He swings his scythe once more sticking the landing with an air somersault. He grunted from placing too much weight on the landing. He steeled himself and dusted himself off of any debris or goo that might have spilled along the way. He retracts Kane into a rifle which would be used better than a pole weapon.

As he approaches, he can see three girls up ahead. More Grimm came down but were shot down by arrows. Another fellow sharpshooter. ”Seems they can handle themselves just fine.” Liserian stopped jogging and thought to take his time and catch his breath. He notices another signature nearby bolting straight towards them. It was too late to call out in alarm. He was too far away. It was a close call but one of them managed to pin them down and break their tusk, yet they struggled. She needed help. Without thinking, he aims at the Boartusk flailing around, he needs to find the right time for an opening. If he recalls, their weak spots are their underbelly. He aims low. ”You’re doing great. Hold him a little longer.” He whispered, concentrating on the one spot and taking his shot. A second one follows just in case.

To the girls, the flashing light could be spotted nearby. Should it have done the job or the girls defeated the Boartusk, Liserian would have entered the clearing by the time it became dust. Rifle over his shoulder and whistling. ”You ladies sure are tough, especially you.” He grins at Shin'ya, eyes covered by his shades, the light bouncing off hiding his blue irises.

Having landed on the ground and looked around a bit Asher didn't have too much time to start walking before more grim showed up land-bound ones beowolfs mostly the first one basically just disappeared in a puff 37mm shell impacting its face and deleting it from existence with the shear explosive force. The next one was much the same and the third cannon jolting in Asher arm the recoil springs and oils compressing backwards heat transferred into the handle and absorbed into his body via his semblance soon there where a few too many for him to just shoot rush at him the large blade cleaved through one easily recently sharpened the massive weight behind it Spitting them and the trees around him with ease effectively carving apath as he moved through the woods towards somewhere cannon firing ringing out occasionally with the thud of a tree split by a swing, so far it was going ok

that was until the urson arrived massive armoured bear.. shrugging off the shots as if charged Asher he bearly dodged the strike form it's paws leaving a huge gash in the ground Asher's cannon only hitting its armor and his sword bouncing off its thick hide great this would be... annoying however he did have an idea firing the cannon into the tree line he began to intentional start fires stoking them by using masses of leaf litter and nonsense that the ursa was kicking up with its attempts to strike him one slash getting him across his back aura flickering.

the roaring fire was just what he needed suddenly the fires died Asher pulling in all the heat and holding out his hand the shear heat igniting the air in a glowing white beam the grim being popped like a bubble as well as many of the tree behind it the shear heat causing them to basically disintegrate in an instant leaving a path pd destruction... one that conviently opened a path to meet anorher Small area Asher could just see other students there. Hauling his blade onto his shoulder he's walk through the scotched area the beowolfs having decided to go find easier prey after all of that shit, Asher just managing to spot the girl that had glance at him before and there was also another guy he'd not remember seeing. "Sup you Two guys ok?" he'd ask casually as if he didn't just walk form the path of super destruction.. guy was so causal about it.

Mood?: Startled.... uhhh Socially not okay.

It was only gonna be five minutes, Only Five minutes of her chillin' out and probably getting to know someone, as she notes the different color. "Green..... Blue.... Purple" She notes quietly to herself. Each student within her was bustling both in personalities and colors. Each color was beautiful in their own way and those colors as she would say... sums up someone. Momiji standing in the sea of people as she idly stood there not really knowing what to do aside from noting other colors from the vast array she saw.

But she stopped, her eyes caught something.... Brown.... They was ears? Wolf ears? She felt like that someone was stalking her and ot made this Goat faunus uneasy as her emerald eyes darts the other way in an attempt to ignore it and go back to... doing something. Well she remebered she had books... and oh yeah! She could finish catching up on Agent 006 Blackbell Code: Roulette (This is totally not a Alex Rider/ James Bond Ripoff). So she slips her bag off as the bag fell from within her jacket and she moves away a bit careful not to bump into anyone to reveal her brown bag as she slips her arms back in her long sleeves with both the hand and sleeve itself (Since the sleeve did technically covered her arm). Yes, This a little more exhausting of removing your own backpack from underneath your own Overcoat.... But it was only Momiji's preferance due to not wantingto take her coat off... she felt... uncomfortable without it... (Much less confident.)

And as soon and as soon as she was unzipping her bag, She was face to face with someone with those same wolf ears she seen earlier, and that tone and voice was enough to startled her. Her expression remained impassive but her bodily language and posture was tense meaning she's uncomfortable. If it could be felt, She was silent but what her green eyes radiated somewhat..... hints of intensive imtiimidatingness like this was a warning. But in reality, Momiji was internally panicking... not knowing what to say.

".... Brown...."

Oh no.
Yuppa blinked. Brown. That was... quite an answer, really. Something to rival her surprise attack on the girl. Brown. Yuppa took her own share of time to appreciate the surprised, perhaps evne terrorized, reaction the girl gave her. She blinked again, ears twitching as she stared. It was a stare of pure confusion and curiosity-no malicious intent included in any way (other than the unnecesary staring part, of course).
"Brown? You mean my hair?"
She swished her head around, making her hair wave in the air dramatically as she showed off her (subjectively) beautiful brown hair.
"Yeah, I have brown hair. Your hair is blonde!Yellow! I guess yellow is the correct term, but I like golden more. It's more poetic, you know?"
Unfortunately for Momiji, it seemed that her awkward initial response did nothing negative to Yuppa's first impression of her. Whether it was because she was desperate to make a new friend, or if she really didn't care much of the response, even Yuppa herself was not sure at the moment. She just wanted to... socialize.

Yuppa tilted her head side to side as she waited for the girl's response, but their suspenseful talk had to be cut short by the announcement of the helmsman, and the following opening of the hatch, which was something Yuppa was not expecting at all. Especially on the first day of school-they haven't even done a ceremony yet.
"Wait, what?"
Yuppa felt the flow of air violently yank her off her feet, and into the air-down to the open. Her instinct was to lash out and grab for the awkward blondie she just met, then realized it may end up making things worse than better for the two of them. She slapped the right hand that almost clawed at Momiji with her left, and was launched into the air.
"Blondiiieeeeee-!"
She yelled as she went spinning in the air.
"Let's meet agaaaaaiiiiin!"

The rest was history. Sort of.
Yuppa grabbed onto a comically thick glove that she had hidden in her jacket pocket, and put her left hand in it without hesitation. As she flexed her fingers, the glove extended itself to form an armored gauntlet around her arm, with the partition on the wrist extending to form a round shield with four noticable lines on the outside. After quickly inserting a red cartridge into a small opening under the shield, Yuppa stretched her arms out to control the fall.
Through the sound of the air, she felt a slight hum of her shield as it began to charge up on the fire dust.
"Tally-"
She raised her fist up into the air as she felt the heat build up in her shield. There were many ways to break a fall from this much height, but she liked one method and one method only.
"-HO!"
She threw her balled up fist downward, shield facing the earth-its outer rim and center glowing hot red. At the next moment, the fire dust combusted, releasing a red ring of explosion that rocked her body, and significantly deccelerated her as she dive rolled onto the ground.

if it wasn't for an uncertain Momiji as she was silent... lost for words, but with that brown haired (Yuppa) kinda pointing out about her hair, Momiji did a tentative nod. The emerald eyed girl was listening silently not daring to interrupt her. This faunus wasn't really in the tentative mood to socialize..... SOCIALization. Kinda was a bit of an uncomfy thing that Momiji had in preferences. But she caught the factor of the stare and her waiting for her answer. "....." Momji honestly didn't know what to say since ya know, Momiji is Momiji.

But before the conversation could be pressed any further.... or anything else. She heard the helsman and his announcement... seems like something's up and a moment of her being effed either way. With watching Yuppa be yeeted out of the ship and She didn't caught much of what Yuppa shouting out towards her but it indicated she wouldn't be see the last of that faunus... and Jesus. She felt a shiver up her spine. With the harsh winds blowing out with her blonde twintails flying out wildly, Momiji since, Oversized coat and Momiji equals her getting sucked out like a paper bag and into the air, with her diving downwards towards their direction, She noticed something, an incoming lancer. She didn't want to waste her dust cartridges.... But might as well waste some Aura here. With a familiar glow of her aura briefly followed by two glowing rings surrounding her as she locks on as it comes in for the kill towards her, several hexagonal patterns formed in front of her in a makeshift shield zooming towards the Lancer knocking it off course, and away from her... for now.

Aura Used: 20%
Aura Remaining: 80%

The ground and trees was coming in faster, Momiji needed to act so with both hands and immediately taking out her Violin out of her case, she flicked a switch activating with the fingerboard, upper and lower bouts of the violin splitting open from the middle and growing longer with the strings reconfiguring into one large string revealing a large bow.

She twirled around positioning herself, as she reconfigures the bow for ice dust with the familiar blue-white icy arrow forming in hand. She waits a moment and then fires towards the closest tree, The tree that was hit sprouted out a large icy spike towards the tree close to it forming a sort of landing.... barrier thingy? This user has no idea on what to call it. She grabs on it with one sleeve as she held onto her arrow with the other hand, and swings upwards into the air and lands on the ground in a bit of a flip and tumble. Her green eyes inspecting the area around her as she walks. It took her a moment for her to realize her violin case was lost much to the sadden dismay of Momiji... she's got a backup but she's not gonna put it away yet....

"As much as I don't like it" She proclaimed quietly, disengaging the bow form to prevent damage as she's moving. "I gotta find the others."

She then runs as much as her hooves could carry her, as for a small girl in an oversized coat with oddly enough a violin in hand, goes to search for anyone else that had survived such a fall.

Turns out the amount of lancers needed to allow Valerian to fly was way more than he could reasonably grab. He had managed to get the guided light wrapped around the middle of three of them and he had done it all without getting a— Okay, actually he had been stabbed a few times, but not anywhere important! The flapping and buzzing of three lancers only let him glide to the ground, rather than his plan of flying all the way to... wherever he was supposed to go. He hadn’t really been listening.

Valerian touched down surprisingly gently, only a few moments after a shockwave shook the forest. Looks like not everyone had such a nice landing. Now... what to do about the lancers. He ducked under a stinger as he wound one end of the guided light around a tree. He grabbed the other end, imbued his aura into it and the rope began to stiffen, growing angular and sharp. He braced himself against another tree and began to pull.

Valerian spotted a small girl running towards him and waved. “Hiya! Mind lending me a—” Something gave and the three struggling lancers were split in half as the rope severed abdomen from thorax. “Never mind!”

The rope unraveled itself from the tree, and looped itself back onto Valerian’s belt as he turned to his fellow student. “Valerian, nice to meetcha. Do you know where we’re supposed to be going?”

Jade yawned as she looked at a book regarding her lesson plan for this year, holding a small class of whine in on hand while the other rests in under her chin. The school year was going to start out slow, she was going to give out lectures of the founders, the different battles that built this fine kingdom, the rise and falls of both friends and enemies, and touch on current affairs. It was her belief that even in these times of peace the students still deserved to know the current state of their home, what they do with that information is up to them.

That was her lesson plan for this year's students, and she didn’t need her book to know that. Instead, she was reading a report that was sitting on the pages of her book. A report from the Mistral police about a raid on an abandon compound just outside Mistral being used a storage facility for stolen dust. There were many arrests but no big wigs where among them, it was a semi successful raid which means she owes some of her informants a roman dinner, but she sighed, her informants were confident that a person of interest would be there that was the whole reason the police raided that compound in the first place, so what happened?

Her thoughts were cut short when she heard a Daisuke’s voice suddenly speak from the speakers. She looked up at the speaker as if Daisuke was there talking in person, swirling her cup of whine in hand as she listened to the message. She raised an eyebrow when she heard the ship that was transporting the new students was attacked, “How...?” the question faded from her lips, she was sure he was asking the same question. She placed her glass down as she sat up from her seat. She quickly grabbed her Aurora Wings and attached them at her hip before grabbing her jacket and walked out of her classroom, she hasn’t had any of her students get hurt on their first day in Haven and she didn’t plan on having it happen now.

She made it out to the hanger and grabbed herself a ride and caught up with Daisuke, “Daisuke!” she called as she bailed out of her ride after activating the auto piolet. She landed gracefully beside him, “Happy first day of the new school year.” She says as she crosses her arms across her chest. Yes, it was supposed to be a joke, no, her face didn’t make it seem so, "have you heard from Mr. Mifune, last I heard he was on the ship with the students." Almost on cue his voice was picked up from the small ear piece giving them a small sitrep before going silent again. She looked back at Daisuke, "well, since that is taken care of what is the situation? how did the radar miss such a large group of Grimm so close the Haven?"

Wandering through the unpredictable forest it’s landscape foreign to Felix. Though the trees weren’t dense so light could shine through. He prepped himself for any attack switching Shooting stars to Revolver mode just in case. His steps were cautious, as for his feet he was stepping heel to toe making sure to make no noise came from his footsteps. Concealing himself as well as possible for bright pink hair. ‘Grimm are only deadly when they swarm you’ Felix thought to himself as he didn’t overtly standout like some students were. He was thinking about how cool they were to use skills that he should know, but relied on his semblance too much to bother learning them. While he quietly scanned the area he found a pack of students…well more like heard from a barbaric display from one of the students. He shook his head and was going to walk away, but saw a grimm from the shadows about to attack the blonde with glasses.

Quickly and heroically he swung his short sword it’s 3 segments detaching from each other revealing a yellow chain. The tip of the blade pierced the Grimm, Felix dragging it back into the forest with a big tug of his hilt. His free hand he points the revolver at the Grimm landing a killing shot on it the Grimm fading to ash. Those outside of the forest must have watched something horrific since a Grimm basically pounced out of nowhere and before it made contact got dragged into the shadowy forest where a gun shot could be heard.

Felix stepping out Shooting stars sheathed under his sweater. “Hey guys are you alright I saw a scary Grimm come at you guys are we safe and sound here.” Felix spoke earnestly looking at all 3 of the others around him now. His fighting style was rather unorthodox but it can be flashy as well as stealthy but as for now he can only do little stealth. Since bigger Grimm can sense him easier or possibly see him I’m guessing pink isn’t a color that appears very often in nature. He shook hands with Asher and waved at August and Tiffany giving an award winning smile. “Hi I’m Felix it’s nice to meet you guys.” Now with that all of Team FAAE has gathered in one spot.

"Copy that." Replying to Mizu. Dashing into the forest disappearing among the trees. 3 minutes making sprint into the forest. Grimm all around scouring for the students. The scale of the attack is uncounted due to the trees and unpredicted time.

The airship overhead was far now from where it dropped the students. Only the helmsman remains on board, the lancers are still in pursuit but dramatically decreased in numbers when a few lancers are swiftly impaled by huge arrows with glowing orange combustion dust. These black steel arrows explodes a second of delay into a fiery blaze. A state of the art ballista launcher located at the borders of Haven's campus. Alternating interval fires from multiple ballista's ensures constant long range support.

1727478831899.png

A few Beowolves stood in his way which he slashed in one or two strokes of his blade. Three more Beowolves surrounds him, all pouncing at once. With one spin of his flaming blade, all but are specks of ash by the time they landed his clean button up shirt.

Seconds after, History teacher, Jade Seraphina arrives at his side. Greeting him with side of light sarcasm to the side. The man merely nods as he gazes far into the forest, seeing little movements of black shadows, sounds of gunfire and metal clashing, and explosions overhead. Mizu is one of the first ones to the scene and spotted a team of students. Giving the man some relief. He puts the scroll on his ear.

[ ▶️ 🎙️ "Gather the students, and cross them to the defense line. I'm seeing hundreds almost a thousand of Grimm activity out here. Got no source for origin, No signs of a burrowing hole or nests here. Almost out of thin air. I've seen alpha class Grimm out here too. No one is safe here."] Sliding the scroll back to his pocket. Jadestill awaiting with her question.

"I'm not sure, Ms. Jade. First time we've had something like this, or Grimm this close to the academy... We'll have to set aside the investigations right now. What I am sure is that there's more Grimm down here, than Lancers attacking Mr. Antonio's airship. We'll be overrun here any minute now. I'm heading out." Giving a two finger salute to Jade before sprinting hastily in the forest, age has barely slowed the man. Cutting Beowolves in his way like grass.

During his run across the forest. A loud red flare of explosion booms to his left. Such an explosion was not made by the ballista's. It was from a lone wolf Faunus. A student who recently just landed and making her way to the forest. "Excuse me, over here." Calling politely to wild girl.

"I'm here to assist you to Haven Academy, just ahead." Before he could further explain himself. A Grimm Ursa makes a rabid dash behind him from the bushes. In just a blink of on an eye, the ursa's head was on the grass and the man holding his slashing pose. Sword outward to his left. "Follow me, lets look for the others. we'll explain everything later." Turning his heel back to the wolf girl with a confident stride back to Haven's clearing.

It was not too far when he found two more young women from the sound of their guns echoing through the forest, their blades drawn out. They have fought Grimm just now. He waved over towards the two "Excuse me, you two! Over here!" He called to them. "Let's get everyone here off this forest. This place is crawling with Grimm." Motioning the two follow along as he tries to jog along into the direction towards Haven.

1727512572125.png
Red eyes surround the teacher and the 3 students. Ursa's, Beowolves and boarbatusks slowly crawl out of darkness of the forest. At least more than twenty Grimm surrounds them. Daisuke plants his sword on the ground. Cracking his knuckles and rotating his shoulders. "I'm Daisuke Boucher, I'm your teacher here in Haven academy. Lets teach em' a lesson..."Looking all around. A boarbatusk charges their rolling attack towards Daisuke. Darting in seconds but he did not raise vanquisher. Raising his right hand, glowing grey flame envelopes his hand and two nearby heavy stones lifted in mid as if it were light. Homing into the rolling Grimm and instantly crushing the boarbatusk and cracking the stones. The wave of Grimm charges at the 3, Daisuke would find himself clashing blade to claws of an Ursa. While he is handling the Grimm with little effort his eyes were subtly focused to the students and a possible opening for escape.

" What I will " Dinah said though a playful smirk appeared in her face as she registered her own words. " Oh i see you're the kind of guy my dad warned me about " she teased her dad having never warned her of boys neither of them actully.

The trio moved to another student who was on her back. Another faunus it seemed though what she was didn't quite click. A weird tail and strange horns. Well she wasn't dead no one in the place should die from just falling from a plane.

Dinah crouched down by the girl and reached a finger out poking the girls cheek " hey hey can I pet your tail?" she asked not thinking the girl was anything more than stunned " or your horns?" though she wasn't sure they were horns but they looked like they felt funny.

1727704998183.pngThe boy follows after her. To separate in an unknown would be ill advised. Plus all the movies she has been seeing never leaves into anything good. She could not track how long has she had walked as the forest stretches and hardly any outstanding landmarks to indicate the scale. Unfortunately she could hardly make small talk with to one who just saved her a while back. No nicknames she can call him and just silence between the two. Awkward, absolutely but at least they are safe from Grimm for now.

During the trek, she felt uneasy. More uneasy than she already is. "D-do feel like something... Is watching us?" Again, her voice minimizing in volume. Holding Destiny like a rifle, yet still inactive power. She gasps at the sound of violence up ahead. "Someone's in trouble have to help them!" Running ahead and leaving the lantern boy almost in the dust, despite Tiffany's meek appearance. Her assumptions are subverted when she arrives late into the scene. There stood the same large boy she accidentally glanced on earlier. Surrounded in a freshly burnt forest of his own clearing. Jaw dropped by this discovery, Tiffany did not take a step further towards this, horned faunus boy. Even in a distance he easily towers over anyone.

"..." Only taking steps backwards to hide behind the lantern boy. Fortunately, this gunblade giant is on their side. "W-Where do we go now?" Uneasiness is heavy on her voice.

A blur of shadow black swiftly rushes to Tiffany, turning over her shoulder to swing back before two yellow chains darts from the forest to drag this Grimm without delay. Whatever grimm type it was did not matter as it was dealt with brutal efficiency with an end of a gunshot. Stepping into the clearing was a pink haired buy with the chain weapon to his sweater confirming to be one who dealt with the Grimm. He introduces himself as Felix. Who also gave an award winning smile, if anything all three of the boys here have such pearly white smiles compared to her frowny little face. "I'm Tiffany..." She introduces with little confidence.

After the small exchange of names. The forest's earth began to shake, sound of stomping made a flock of birds fly out of the forest, leaves from trees fall with each slow stomp. Tiffany standing and scanning the trees to find its origins with little to no avail to see where it came from.

In the heavily wooded area, a few trees are being timbered down. The stomping came from a 15 foot tall Goliath class Grimm. With it leading a dozen boarbatusks and Beowolves, and 4 ursas. It appears to be dead set on finding the young group as it knows they are close. It did not see the stealthy professor instead it picked up a human sized boulder and chucks it into the team.

1727705041054.pngOverhead a giant human sized boulder is catapulted over their heads and into a nearby healthy tree. Instantly snapping the tree down in two. An otherworldly trumpeting with a bass mix of what sounds like foghorn. Bashing into the burnt clearing a 15 feet tall Goliath Grimm sizes up the team, rising up on its back legs and a rumbling roar. The front stump was enough to cause a mini earthquake and kick dust up from the ground. Following the Goliath is 6 lesser Boarbatusks and 6 lesser Beowolves, and 4 Ursas.

The goliath did not waste time to strike/scrape the ground with its right , like bull preparing for charge. Seeing red as it mostly appears to aimed directly to the lantern boy, Autumn. The rest of the grimm either circles around to prepare for a perfect time or attack directly. Tiffany immediately rolls out of the way when a Boarbatusk rolls an attack on her direction. Countering by pointing Destiny to the rolling Boarbatusk. Except, Destiny did nothing. Its lights are off. "C'mon Tiff! Why now!?" Slamming the staff against her palm like a TV remote. It's rod opened. The hardlight dust capsule was slightly misaligned. The Boarbatusk overshoots into the forest and wont be coming back till half a minute.

Jamming her fingers into the staff. Lighting a bright blue light in the center of the golden ring as well as the accent of the wings and rod, indicating activation. A Grimm Ursa runs in all fours, roaring upfront. Striking first to its jaw, Tiffany gets a good opening attack onto the Ursa. Knocking it a step back, but follows up with 6 successful simple left and right staff swings. This only angered the Grimm. The staff glows bright blue until she bars it against of the swift bite of the Ursa.

"Nnnngggghhhhh!!! Let! g-go!" The rush of desperation runs through her veins unto her Aura. A tug of war in recovery of her weapon. Wrestling the grimm's maw and teeth, a rookie's mistake to let her weapon disabled and open to other attacks.

Mood?: Serious, yet a wee uncertain? Overall serious!!!!!!!!!

She spotted a tall guy ahead of her and boi, was he TALL. Anyway that's not the point, He seems like he was gonna ask for help but guess that was covered anyway with watching those said lancers be well- ya know decimated themselves. At that question it might as well leave Momiji uncertain as her stare just went from passive, and it revealed to having some uncertainty within them. "No.... I thought you would know." She answered momentarily looking away. " Momiji by the way."

Momiji was a bit perplexed but looking at Valerian, She noted his pink eyes was a bit mesmerized by their look. But she shook her head, sighing to herself as she needed to figure out where the others were. "Besides we need to move, Don't want to encounter.... any... Grimm." Momiji advised as she lifted her arm, pointing ahead of her and Valerian. "I was heading that way.... Kinda think that area may be the best."

Without further ado, she walks again, her hooves underneath her coat clicking softly.

The first person to regard her was the white-haired girl who was still tangling with the lancer. She insisted that she didn't require any help as she continued fighting and eventually positioned herself behind the blonde knight. She wasn't the least bit surprised when the white-haired girl mentioned what she had been thinking all this time about teammates. At least they were on the same page, and she can respect her for taking care of her own business. If she says she doesn't need any help then Ilyas was gonna hold her to it. After all, she wouldn't want to do a... what was that term the tech nerds at Mistral PD use when they pretend to look busy but play games while clocked in... ah right. She wouldn't want to do a "kill secure" on someone slated to be her teammate, especially when they've just met. Heck of a first impression that'd be if she let that intrusive thought win.

Not long after, the Faunus girl joined them once she had dealt with the Lancer she was fighting. Whether she was a girl of few words, or the situation didn't leave much room for conversation, all Ilyas got from her was an "Mm." of acknowledgement before she raised her guard once again. Before she could start with introductions, however, Ilyas noticed three Beowolves making a beeline for them from the forest.

Since they were coming from the direction she was facing, she took the initiative, merely saying "I got these mangy mutts." to her newfound companions, before charging towards the canine grimm herself. Focusing her semblance on her feet, which were still quite sore from her rough landing earlier, she kicked the ground, propelling herself at the beasts with incredible force and velocity. As she soared towards the creatures, she stretched both her hands, her sights set on the the two lead Beowulves. With her hands still injured from her punching bag killing spree earlier, it was the part of her body the hurt the most. This also meant that her fists were the parts of her body the she could enhance the most right now with her semblance.

Once she had gotten in range, Ilyas grabbed hold of the two Beowulves' heads before planting them both on the ground with enough force to leave two small craters. Meanwhile, last monster tried to lunge at her, but before the beast could sink its teeth into her, the blonde knight caught the creature's jaws with her hands and pulled them apart at opposite directions, ripping the Grimm cleanly in two. It was a stroke of fortune that her armor came with a helmet since it served to hide the menacing, gleeful grin on her face from being seen by her teammates.

Unfortunately, it had seemed like a Boarbatusk simultaneously attacked the wolf Faunus girl while she was dealing with the Beowulves and it had the girl trapped in a precarious situation. Ilyas was now a considerable distance from the two and she feared that she wouldn't make it, but as luck would have it, they got another assist from someone lurking in the treeline. That timely support managed to do the trick, taking out the Boarbatusk and averting potential disaster.

With the green-haired lad's appearance, all four members that would comprise the team Ilyas now belongs in have gathered in the clearing, and from the looks of thins, all three of them were still raring to fight. Ilyas was about to rejoin the three when something made her suddenly stop in her tracks. From her left, she could see dozens of birds suddenly take off to the skies in panic, as if spooked by something. There was also the palpable shift in the atmosphere, a sense of dread that pervaded whenever something truly terrifying made an appearance. She had experienced this feeling countless of times when she was still a pawn of Crimson Dawn... the ultimate test her "mentors" would throw at anyone unlucky enough to have caught their eye.

"... An Alpha, huh?" She muttered with bated breath.

As if on cue, a huge black mass slithered out of the forest, straight towards her, it's maw stretched wide revealing, sharp gigantic fangs and threatening to swallow her whole. Luckily, Ilyas managed to grab hold of the King Taiijitu's fangs, however she underestimated her current strength compared to the creature. Instead of stopping it in its tracks, she was dragged off by the gigantic snake before being flung in the air. As she was falling, the creature's second head prepared to strike, and with basically no means of correcting her trajectory midair, it looked like the attack was unavoidable.

"Fuck it..."Ilyas cursed as she clutched the sword strapped to her back and drew it from its scabbard, the crimson red marking on the blade reflecting the sun's rays akin to streaks of blood. She transformed Sanguinis to its gun mode, a powerful shotgun, and fired a shot to her side, drastically changing her trajectory and allowing her to avoid the King Taijitu's bite. She landed next to her teammates, though now something was different from her. A murderous aura emanated from Ilyas as she gripped her weapon, now back to a sword, so tightly that her knuckles started to turn white and her hand started to shake. Her once friendly (if one could call it that) demeanor was gone, replaced only with unbridled rage and hostility as she stared daggers at the snake grimm.

"That bastard's mine! I do not care whether you help or not. DO NOT GET IN MY WAY." She shouted at the others before charging straight back towards the reptilian monster. It had the audacity to make her use her accursed weapon... now she'll make sure it wished it never existed to begin with.

Mizu Mifune
"Gonna have to beat the hell out of that scaredy boi." Mizu said under his breath as he looked at the kids, or to be exact at Autumn, being scared and yelping like a little girl ain't gonna help you out in the field, though he had to give it to him, he was quick to realize his mistakes. As the kids began to move in one direction Mizu shortly followed, though he was a bit late in doing so as a boarbatusk crossed his path and approached the kids from their rear unbeknownst to them. Sure he preferred the tough-love approach of teaching but he couldn't let them get killed from behind that would be a disgrace on his skills. So he unsheathed his katana in his chain whip mode and swung it activating its ice dust upon impact with the boarbatusk's tusks as it coiled around it, he then transformed the sheath in one swift and fluid motion into its shotgun form, he then yanked his chain whip cutting into a bit of the boarbatusk's tusk and bringing himself closer, essentially flipping onto its head, and there he unloaded a point blank combustion dust cartridges into the back of the Grimm's head executing it on the spot by exploding its proverbial brains out while matching the timing with the sound of Haven academy cannons firing to hide his whereabouts.

"A bit rusty but I can work with that." Mizu said to himself before resuming to tail the group of students soon enough he arrived at their destination, and they found two other students. At least they were in a proper team size-wise, Though he had to say the little girl being able to sense that he was watching them was something else, he didn't expect anyone to even sense him watching them. After all, he was from a spec ops team centered around stealth, or maybe she just felt the Grimm watch them, which still was a good sense.

What Mizu did not expect was such a big welcoming party approaching this small group of students, with this big of a group he couldn't exactly help them from the shadows. He had to help them in some way, and to do so Mizu unsheathed two of his weapons, loaded one of them with a electric dust and the other with a fire dust before turning them to their chain whip form.

Still being unnoticed, Mizu took a deep breath filling his lungs to their max capacity, before running off towards one of the boarbatusk's laying in wait. As he grew close he activated his semblance Jacob's Ladder, which created sparks of electricity and flames between his two chain whips, and then he swung at the boarbatusk's tusks, trying to damage it a little before jumping on its back and via simple but hard pulls trying to steer it into the Boarbatusk Grimm who was held up with the tiny bespectacled student named Tiff, rear end of the body.
"Heads up Folks! Im not gonna save your asses often."

Anya Borealis

"Well at least we found them." Anya exclaimed as they after a short trek arrived at the other person she saw who fell near their place. At the sight of Dinah poking at the lying girl's cheek Anya raised her voice a bit. "V.. Dinah stop poking her. And you can you please get up, we are in a place with Grimm around us. Not exactly a good place to lay at." Hopefully, the other girl would listen to Anya's words after all this wasn't exactly a good place to do so.

Anya took a quick glance at the 3 gathered here and spoke up once again trying to organize it all. "Let's get some things straight right now. We are in a Grimm infested forest, we don't know how far away we are from Haven Academy though I know the general direction to Haven as I saw where the airship was heading as we were falling. Now for the more pleasurable but annoying things. We have to work together to get there, I'm not exactly team leader material as I'm used to working alone so someone else will need to lead. Now can I please get at least the general vibe of what each of us can do so we can coordinate better?"

Seeing as no one replied yet Anya pouted a bit, and huffed some air before speaking once again. "I'll start name's Anya Borealis, my weapon is Knight's Star a double-sided polearm that can be turned into a bow, which I specialize in. My semblance allows me to slightly manipulate the trajectory of items that leave my grasp after I infuse some of my aura into it, though when I infuse more into it, they gain additional effects like creating a sheet of ice over a struck surface or explosion of ice shards centered around the struck point. Now how about you ?"
She then pointed to the girl they just found, honestly this better be done fast before the Grimm arrived cause it was a godsend that Grimm hadn't encountered them yet.

Nahlia’s ears twitched as she heard footsteps approaching her, but she didn’t freak out. They didn’t match the cadence of any Grimm, and were light enough to be other people. So she simply waited, looking up at the sky and hoping no one had seen her embarrassing fall. She waited for the footsteps to get closer before she tilted her head to the side in order to see who was approaching her.

A feline faunus had just arrived by her side, and looked down on Nahlia, asking some odd questions.

“Well, my tail is venomous, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to lose your hand!”

Nahlia did a chopping motion with one hand over her other wrist.

“But no to my horns! At least for right now.”

At the sound of a new voice asking her to get up, she would comply and dust the dirt off herself.

“Well duh! Everyone knows there’s Grimm around here!”

Nahlia would reply to the newcomer. A fox faunus maybe? She wasn’t exactly sure what she was. But what Nahlia was sure of? This girl was annoying. Just speaking the obvious. Duh it was a Grimm infested forest. Everyone fell out of the airship. Obviously, anyone worth their salt would head in the direction it had been before falling. Duh they should work together. But did they really need a leader and to outline what exactly they could and couldn’t do? Nahlia didn’t see the point in it. At least, not yet. They were wasting time just standing here. The Grimm would be flocking this way, and they should move before they arrived and surrounded them.

“You can walk and chew gum at the same time, right?”

Nahlia recited something her father used to say when he was still alive. She held Drowning Machine over her right shoulder, and grabbed her rolling luggage with her free hand before walking off in the direction of Haven as the fox girl explained her abilities somewhere behind her. They could walk and talk at the same time, right? Whether she stayed where she was or followed Nahlia, the girl continued. She’d leave them behind if they chose to stay and talk, or they could follow her. It didn’t much matter to her. Though as she was walking away, she saw a boy looking at their surroundings, as if watching for an attack. That was definitely someone she liked the look of. He was being aware and not wasting his time. However, she continued on.

But that was when she heard the footfalls... The barks and snarls and howls of beowolves closing in on the group from all sides...

The faunus-in-disguise huffed an exasperated sigh as she watched Ilyas take off without another warning. Her fangs glinted sharply as she dodged a random Beowolf that leaped at her, quickly tapping into her aura to activate her semblance for the first time - the area around her growing colder as the snow leopard faunus appeared to vanish before reappearing behind the grimm in a flurry of snowflakes, her bright blue orbs seeming to glow a silvery-blue shade as she fired an arrow, the fire dust-infused tip causing the grimm to start dissolving instantly before she was back on the move.

The feeling of euphoria in her veins almost had the girl on cloud-nine... before the feeling was shattered by the harsh, loud sound of Ilyas calling out for them to not get in her way. "Don't get in my way...idiot - we are supposed to be working together you overgrown piece of ..." Her tone was sarcastic as all heck before realizing she needed to curb her sarcasm and caught herself. Giving a very feline-like hiss of exasperation and rolled her piercing gaze skyward for patience - before giving a very...very embarrassing cat-like yowl of surprise when a random Ursa swiped at her, having surprisingly (not) joined the party (what party... this was chaos like h...heck in a handbasket).

"Oh ... it is on!" Ashryn hissed out as she did a handspring away from one of the sharp claws, feeling one cut too close for comfort as she landed in a crouch. Her bandana floated to the ground in two pieces, leaving the faunus exposed. Two white and black-tipped ears pricked up and flicked back, her white and ebony rosette tail uncoiled from around her waist and lashed behind her in agitation. Her nails grew a bit longer, tipped like the claws of her kind, and her eyes opened to show bright mercury-dipped silver-blue orbs with slits as pupils. "That was my favorite bandana you furbrain!" Her voice was tinged with a growl as brilliant orbs glared up at the Ursa circling her. An arrow was loaded and she aimed to fire it, her eyes glowing brightly as she glared daggers at the bear-like grimm before firing away. Her body twisting and turning to easily avoid the lumbering giant swiping down at her. Okay - maybe not her finest moment of having 'taunted' a large bear that was attempting to kill the group now designated as their team... but still...was she the only one with a lick (and yes she knew exactly how that saying sounded thank you very much) of common sense??!!

You ladies sure are tough, especially you.” He grins at Shin'ya, eyes covered by his shades, the light bouncing off hiding his blue irises.
The struggle with the Boarbatusk had concluded, and the monstrous approximation of an already ferocious beast had dissolved into inky blackness, including the tusks that Shin'ya had held upon with a valiant grip. But the one thing that Shin'ya wasn't sure about was the little remark from the new arrival. Not like it...embarrassed her or anything. It was more like she had never been praised for her efforts as a hunter in training by anyone other than aunty Yuuka.

"Haa...th-thank you." She settled for that.

The swarm of Grimm intensified, like a sandstorm picking up and intensifying before it could end, fed by the winds. In the same way, the scale of the battle and the emotions surrounding it had drawn still more adversaries. She knew the standard tactics in this situation: to spread out and draw out the minor Grimm to prevent them from concentrating, sweep as much of them away as possible before withdrawing to a fortified position. For against a swarm, hunters and the others could not hope to win by attrition if the initial clash wasn't decisive.

However, the presence of numerous Alpha Grimm...complicated that situation. Left unabated, they would cause an unacceptable level of collateral damage. At least one of them would have to be destroyed before plans of escape could be thought of.

Untrained, Shin'ya's stunted body would already be on the verge of giving up. But with her focused aura, her training, and Shoko's will...she would weather this storm.

"Please, follow me." She nodded to the plum-haired man bearing the rifle. They were still amidst the foliage, which meant that priority would likely fall on the King Taijitu, which was larger and more agile on the ground, more capable of threatening them in the immediate moment, unlike the Nevermore which would have the advantage above open ground.

The knightly figure showed their burning drive, already lashing out at the serpent.

As they struck, Shin'ya leapt forward, a little ahead of them, allowing the black head of the Taijitu to spot her. Instantly, another front of the battle was opened and the team could take the opportunity it made.

The black head reared up and struck, with the speed of a viper a hundred times smaller. Maintaining her momentum, Shin'ya flipped backwards, narrowly dodging its lunge. Leveling Raimei at it, she loosed both the missiles she had loaded. What they lacked in area of effect they made up for with focused impact, and the Taijitu flinched but did not cry as two piercing explosions smote its jaw.

Landing from her backflip, Shin'ya again kicked into the air and leapt on a branch, eyeing the giant serpent carefully.

"M-miss archer!" She raised her voice as much as she could over the din, addressing the snow leopard Faunus. She wasn't too sure what would be appropriate to call her, least of all anything based on their supposed physical commonality. "Focus on the snake first!"

With the next...order? given, Shin'ya hunched down, popping her weapon case open with one hand, and flexing the finger of her other to open the missile racks on Raimei. Despite herself, her hands were shaking as she tried to reload her weapon. And then...they struck. Several raven-sized Grimm, members of the giant Nevermore's flock, swooped down from the canopy, battering and clawing at Shin'ya. Her concentration gave way to panic and the micromissile she was holding fell to the ground as she flailed her right arm around, managing to punch several of the birds out of the air but not quite abating the assault on herself.

Her prospective teammates could choose, whether to focus their efforts on the Taijitu and trust her to withstand the distraction, or to help her first.
