atlas park
When Atlas had arrived at the game, the bleachers were still overcrowding. He definitely wasn't early but he never thought this many people would show up. Maybe Junwoo was right after all, this would be the best place to sell their shit.
Atlas was crowned to be the big seller and this was somehow something he carried with pride. At home he never got that kind of attention but here at school, he was really someone now.
Even though Joshua was at the game, he wasn't intending to leave with his brother. The two seemed to drift apart further with each day and Atlas didn't really mind. They were different, they barely even interacted in the hallways and he wondered if Josh even knew about this whole selling drugs thing but word travelled fast, so it probably wouldn't take too long for him to find out.
Atlas pushed his way through the crowd and earned himself some annoyed looks, he had to keep his eyes open for potential buyers but him testing the samples right before this game definitely wasn't the smartest move. His eyes and mind kept drifting off until he saw her. Olivia Price. She wasn't a cheerleader but standing next to Alexa, she definitely could've been. She was an eye-catcher and finally, he could say she was into him as well. Something he'd been dreaming about since the beginning of this school year and it wasn't until the two of them started working together that it had happened. Sure, she asked about the raise and they had a little fight, but what relationship is ever perfect? The only thing Atlas was still worried about was that guy she was talking too and even almost cancelled him for, he just didn't understand how she'd could pick anyone over him at this point. They had the night of their lives, objectively speaking, of course.
Atlas refused to work further on his initial mission and changed course to the two ladies talking besides the bleachers. Work would come later, Junwoo would understand.
His hand initiated the greeting, grabbing Olivia's shoulder lightly with a slight smirk. He also gave Alex a nod as he arrived, she sure wasn't too bad either and he had to try not to stare at her for too long so he just started talking. 'You weren't saying anything bad about me, were you?' He jokingly added with a forceful smile as he looked at Olivia a little longer than he probably was supposed to. Atlas was always very loud and he surely didn't seem very insecure but all he could think about was how she would bad talk him to all of her friends. So what if he didn't last all night? He's not Jason fucking Bourne.
'Actually, I'm really happy I ran into you because I wanted to ask if you were free tonight. There's always a big party after the game and,' he looked at Alex with a playful smile. 'Your friend's obviously invited too.' Too much?
Atlas pulled out a pack of cigarettes that crumpled up in his pockets and held it up as a sign, an offer for them to take one. 'I can even borrow my dad's car, it's no problem.' Okay, he was blowing it. Atlas could hit anyone who'd breath too loud at this point. His dad's car? That's not fucking cool. That's lame. Ánd desperate.
'Or we could try out the samples Junwoo gave us.' Now was his last chance, he looked at Alex, hoping to make Olivia just at least a tiny bit jealous. 'If you need anything to party, I can hook you up, no problem. I also give a huge discount if you're like really hot.'
Atlas now had a big smirk on his face but really, he was just scared of awaiting a cold drink being thrown in his face.
