Alexander already knew it was at least 100. The medicine he took wore off hours ago. "How about we just go get ice cream." Alexander suggested.

When Eliza fell asleep, Hamilton started to drift as well. Until he heard her father knock on the door. Then he was wide awake. "Eliza." Hamilton whispered.

Alexander sat up, his face flushed with fever. "Eliza? You alright in there?" Her dad called through the door.

"Just wanted to check up on you!" her dad said through the door. Alexander felt a tickle in his throat and he buried his face in a pillow as he coughed.
