Eliza held Alexander gently and tried to help him up and out of the classroom so she could take care of him.

Alexander let Eliza help him to his feet. "I'm so sorry." he whispered again, relying on her to keep him standing.

 

[Paint The Wind]

"Stop apologizing. It's okay, I'm going to take you to my house and I'm going to take care of you." She helped him walk, supporting him each step of the way.

Alexander nodded gently. His face was flush with both tears and sweat. He had an obvious fever. "Thank you..." Alexander whispered.

 

[Paint The Wind]

She kissed his temple and took him to her house. She laid him down in her bed because it was much more comfortable than the guest bed. She got him water and tea, and a thermometer. She also got some cold medicine. "I'm going to take your temperature and then you're going to drink all of this water."

Alexander nearly immediately passed out on the bed. It was so comfortable. He could just sleep forever in it... Alexander slapped himself rather hard and blinked the sleep out of his eyes. "hm? Oh, yeah, okay."

She took his temperature. "102." she said. "Now drink the water. Then you can go to sleep."

Alexander took the water and drank it. He curled up on the bed and fell asleep.

She sat there with Alex, worried about him. She kissed his forehead.

Alexander slept two hours before his nightmares woke him. His fever has started to decrease.

She kissed him gently. "How you feeling cutie?" she said.

"Stressed. I shouldn't have taken a break. I need to write." Alexander sat up.

"You lay back down right now."

"Eliza..." Alexander said softly. "I gotta write. I'll be okay."

 

[Paint The Wind]

"No. Lay back down.." She pushed him back and gave him a glass of water.

Alexander let out a strained groan. "Eliza... I'm fine!"

"Alex you aren't fine and you know it. Lay back down in that bed." She kissed his forehead.

Alexander groaned angrily and laid down. "Fine. Can you at least bring me a note book and a pen?"

"Absolutely not. You need to rest." She gave him a cup of tea and more fluffy pillows and blankets.

Burr had drank up all of his water. It gave him some energy. Not as much as he would've liked, but it still refreshed him. "So, Thomas." Burr paused. "Can you promise me that you're not going to get into any fights with Hamilton?"

Thomas turned and looked at Burr. "Any? Well." He paused and sighed. "Yes Burr, I promise.. I won't fight with Hamilton." Thomas said, and took a sip of his water. He was still tired, he wanted to do something, anything. "How about a practice race?" He asked.

"Good. No fights then." Burr smiled. "A practice race sounds brilliant. Are we doing it now?" He asked, even though he knew the answer was going to be yes.
