Background

She was cast out of the Sea Serpent tribe and washed up ashore at a beach. She was found by a person working for a Monster Person collector. The collector was a rich man who had lost his children and his wife to various diseases, which caused him to lose his mind. She was put into an aquarium with some other half monsters and quickly became friends with the others. Humans around the mansion of the collector broke in, trying to kill the mixed creatures, but Lilly escaped and survived.

Roles

She can swim in powerful currents and gather rocks, seaweed, and fish while swimming. She can use water magic to heal, mainly washing bacteria or any poison that the blade might have been laced with out of the wound.

Skills

making surprisingly strong things out of seaweed, like baskets and stuff. Water tricks, like shows you'd see at seaworld.

I think that so long a you specify specifically that the owner that kept her for a time was incredibly eccentric. As a common rule most of the humans are terrified even of the existence of Halves, so it would take someone a few screws loose to want to collect them and it would take a pretty penny to convince someone to approach them with the intention of capturing them rather than killing them.


Also the 'role' is more so what your character does for the party, not what they can do powerwise. If you can use healing magic or have basic medical knowledge it wouldn't be a bad idea to specify a healer as her role in the group (I'm a bit confused by just 'healing'). Another route you could take is a gatherer, with her swimming capabilities it wouldn't be hard to be a fisherman or something.

Frivali (Val)

The Half-Harpy

Basic Information
Name: Frivali


Nickname: Val.


Age: 20


Gender: Female


Medical conditions: Low stamina levels, wears out quickly especially in combat.


Personality: Frivali is a girl that can only pay attention for short spans of time unless something has caught her attention about the situation, and the way to do that is with colours, bright colours, and movement. She is naturally drawn to anything that is in bright colours, or anything that moves just out of her focal point. In order to keep her attention in conversation you would most likely have to gesture your words often.


She is naturally drawn to and more willing to pay attention to someone wrapped in coloured clothing, even if what is being said is boring to her.


She knows that her inattentiveness can be considered rude, and typically will try her best to pay attention to someone or something that requires it, but it's not an uncommon occurrence for her to run off after something passing by when the conversation loses her.


When talking to others she can be air headed and certainly gives the impression of one stuck in a day dream, even when she is paying attention. She just has the air of someone with their head in the clouds whether she is flying or not.


She is an idealist and incredibly positive at all times.


Despite all this she has a strong sense of duty, and her scouting trips are some of the only times she is able to stay focused on a singular goal or action for a long period of time, granted that she doesn't get tired and drop from the sky that is.


Frivali tends to be recklessly brave, not for being brave but simply for a lack of knowledge when it comes to fear.*
Appearance
Human Form: Frivali keeps her dusty blue hair in a short style that ensures it would keep out of her face when she were flying, even with the lack of ability in this form. She is on the shorter side, and could easily be mistaken for a child.


She has a light dusting of freckles that cover her cheeks in a patchy manner and eyes that are a murky blue, like that of an deep and unsettling ocean.


Frivali has a light build, one small enough that you would almost expect her to blow away if the winds got a bit rough, and she wouldn't mind if they did.


Overall her appearance is incredibly childish and cute, which would make her an easy target to slip into human towns for resources or anything of the sort if it weren't for her strange and monstrous hair colour.


Monstrous Form: While in a full monster form, Frivali loses her arms to gain bright wings, coloured in feathers of blues and purples which mix together in a somewhat messy pattern.


At the end of her wings she has three sharp talons, scaled in a murky dark blue. Despite these being hand-like, she prefers not to use them for anything other than scratching at things or the occasion of finding more cloth for her collection.


Rather than using these small and sharp fingers she prefers to use the talons that sprout from her feet in this form to both hold and carry things while in this form. The same viridian scales of her 'hands' cover her skin from the tip of her toes to just above the knee, her feet change size to become much larger, and in turn much stronger than her 'hands'. The scales on her legs meet a thin covering of feathers that goes on to cover most of her torso, varying in coverage and thickness. These feathers are much shorter and not as extravagant as her wings.


Finally tiny scales appear roughly 1 cm below her eyes, covering the upper-half of her cheeks, incredibly short feathers form a thin line at the top of these scales, almost giving the appearances of a second row of eyelashes underneath her eyes.


Mixed Form: Retains a much more human face.


She has her wings rather than her human arms, though the scaled talons that she would have in her monstrous form are instead four-fingered human hands, the nails being much sharper than would be expected of human hands.


Her feet remain human in shape, however are course and scaled in the deep blue, but these scales end just above her ankle.


The feathers of her wings are not as vibrant as when she is in her monstrous form, taking on a more dim colour to the typically bright hues. Besides her wings she does not tend to have feathers anywhere else on her body, unless she has changed direct from her full-monster form, in which some of the shorter ones on her torso and upper legs may remain.


Main Form: Mixed.


Placement of Beast Mark: Her mark is found just below her left collarbone.


Appearance Notes: Just as she collects brightly coloured cloths and fabric she normally has at least one on her. Typically it will be wrapped around her and tied into a crude knot either around her waist or one of her ankles. She likes it's movement while in flight and will almost always have at least on piece on her.
Monster Information
Monster Half Species: Harpy


Original Tribe's Location: A nomadic tribe, but they stick to mountains typically. Frivali was born while they had camped in a mountainous cave system.


Background: Abandoned from birth.


Treasures: Collects brightly coloured cloths.
What She Does For the Party
Roles: Mainly a scout, but occasionally joins hunting parties.


Skills: Is skilled at drop-in combat, however cannot fight for long periods of time without her performance dropping significantly.


Relations: N/A


Rivals: N/A
Anything Else?
*Despite not being born in an egg, it took her a few days to 'hatch' or rather to awaken and gain any awareness. By the time she was ready to come out of her sleeping shell the tribe that had birthed her was long gone, headed to some other mountain. Due to this she has not had to face many early hardships such as a monster's twisted games, or even the pain of being completely abandoned by the only people you are born to know.


She has incredibly agility in comparison to a human, it is on par with a full harpy. However, all her other abilities are basically the same as a human, and her stamina is lower than that of an average human meaning that while she would keep up with a full-born harpy for a small time she would quickly fall behind.


She prefers flying to walking, but due to her stamina she walks whenever there seems to be no threats nearby, if a situation seems dangerous she will take to the sky for a quick escape if it is needed.

Personality: Arradis is very solitary due to his past. he has learned over the years trust is simply a concealed dagger, waiting to stab you in the back whenever its beneficial to. Arradis is curious by nature, but tries to be subtle about it. Kindness is something unknown to him, so sometimes he comes off as rude.

Original Tribe's Location: Mountain



Background: Arradis was sold off soon after being born to a merchant, who then passed him off to a pit fighter owner in an troll tribe. Arradis had barely learned how to shift before he was thrown in a fighting arena. His first opponent ever was a kitsune reject, and it tried all it wanted but couldn't escape Arradis who was already the size of a horse in his monstrous form. Arradis continued fighting for years until the pit owner got killed in a scuffle, and a new one replaced him. The new pit owner immediately had all the monsters incapable of fighting due to a limp or something of that nature put down. Arradis still continued to be a crowd pleaser until he was badly injured. The pit owner simply told one of his men to kill him. However, the older troll in charge of carrying out the out fight owner's wish felt pity for Arradis since he had known the boy ever since he first arrived and felt pity for him even though he was a reject. Arradis was told to enter his human form and was smuggled into the woods and given some medicine, and the troll left. Arradis healed fast and started prospering away from the pit fights. He stayed in his monstrous form and hunted, avoiding all contact with anything until one fateful day when he joined the party.



Treasures: Arradis has learned to control his urges, but anything shiny may become victim to his collection.



PARTY RELATIONS


Roles: Arradis is a good scout, but he also likes his fair share of action. His claws and beak are perfect for ripping into enemies and he uses his tail like a baseball bat that can break bones.



Skills: His hearing is very attuned, and paired which his knack for staying up makes him a very good lookout. He is a very good hunter and tracker.

The only problems I have with the sheet are in the backstory. As I mentioned before, humans absolutely do not want to interact with Monster or Halves out of fear. However it's also been stated that the monsters have sadistic games, the way it reads now implies that humans are running the arena, but if you could change it to be a monster run operation it would check out better.


The other concern is that Griffins are typically a proud species, and taking pity would come off as an insult to them rather than a blessing. However Griffins are fighters, so it wouldnt be too strange if instead of being set free, Arradis would have went for an escape as soon as he caught wind of the plans, either that or he could have fought the person who was supposed to off him.


I don't really know what other advice to give on how to change it, but that should make it fit into the story a lot better? Sorry this is probably rambling.

Guess I'll change it...but are Griffins naturally proud or?? He wasn't exactly given the chance to be around any others and I'd think he'd be a little grateful to not be killed, griffin or not.

That could be true, if you wanted him to be modest I would be fine with it. And now having been raised it would make sense.


Hmm. Sure, you can have the ending the same. Just try to change the arena setting.

Personality: Although not fully capable of emotion, Sesler isn't unnecessarily mean. He enjoys deep thought and conversations, and bonded with the group as a family. He can be analytic of a situation before becoming emotionally involved. His voice is very deep and quiet, due to his lack of using it. Telepathically, it is lighter and louder. (Probably will explain more in rp)

Monster Half Species: Trini


Original Tribe's Location: Forest on PA land.


Background: Expelled after father and bride was killed for infringing a Trini law. (Also gonna explain in rp)


PARTY RELATIONS --


Roles: Tactician, Adviser, and Travel Planner


Skills: In-depth knowledge of most creatures after few encounters. Highly observant to detail. Can build complex machines from scarce resources and has an astounding memory. A practiced sword fighter, as the weapon appeals to his style. His psychic powers are a bit limited due to his half, but can move small objects near him and read thoughts of simple beasts and humans. Telepathic communicator.


Extra: He never shifts forms, and some Trini are even taller than him.

Personality:

Eloya is a kind soul, with a big heart and an occasionally small brain. She's not stupid... but she has her moments. She likes to seek out the best in others and often doesn't find the bad about them, leaving her highly naive. She's not stupid though, she incredibly smart and loves being around people. The Nymph has a natural gift for all things creative and uses that to please others.

Appearance-

Human Form:

In human form Eloya has wild blonde hair that blows whichever way in pleases. She stands at an average height of about 5"6' and has a nice frame. She's naturally on the thine side so she often looks smaller then she actually is. Her skin is pale with a rosy glow and her eyes are large gems of ocean blue.

Monstrous Form:

In her monstrous form Eloya doesn't look much different from her human form, besides the fact that she's translucent. As a wind Nymph she always ends up being mildy translucent. Asides from that she generally carries subtle white glow around her.

Mixed Form:

In her mixed form Eloya's state of visibility is solely dependent on her emotions. The darker the emotion the more translucent she is. It's only when she's happy that it looks like she's a solid figure.

Background:

When Eloya was born her parents wasted no time in getting rid of her, abandoning her by the mountains as a young child. She was taken in by an older half, who later died. She was left alone when she was eight. Seeing as at that age, she had been able to take care of herself. She lived of the land, using her Nymph form to easily

Treasures:

Eloya wears a silver necklace with a clear gem around everywhere that she found when she was younger.

Roles:

Eloya tends to gather food, but she easily works as a scout and will spy on human or monster territories.

Skills:

Incredibly light on her feet and barely makes a sounder when she steps. She's also very fast.

While realizing she may not be talented or have any usable skills, she makes up for it by being very friendly and kind towards others. Even though she doesn't have the skills the others have, with her hard-working spirit and hopeful nature, she is working hard to improve. A bit of a late thinker, she sometimes gets distracted or absent-minded; especially when food is involved. She is a big-eater and can usually be swayed by food, if not trying to steal it from others. She is also childish, loud, and clumsy.

Monster Half Species: Carbuncle

Original Tribe's Location: coast

Background: Ella was abandon when she was very young. She was in her monster form and had to defend for herself even though she was to young to be alone. One day a old woman who happen to leave close to a human village fond her. She wasn't afraid of her or anything, though the fact Ella didn't look very scary probably. helped. The old woman cared for and left Ella live with her for a while. Ella wasn't the only mixed breed it seem like the woman would help them. Unfortunately the happiness Ella found did not last. the villagers found out about what the old woman was doing and took all the mixed breed monsters she had away. Ella had know idea what would happen to her so she some how escaped. She ran back to the old woman's house but when she got there the old woman had left. It seemed like she was chased away and forced to move. Ella thinks about her a lot and hopes that maybe one day she will see her again.

Roles: She helps in whatever way she can though she really doesn't have a whole lot of skills. So she mostly just plays assistant to everyone.

Personality: To most people, Monica can seem extremely cold and standoffish. While she doesn't mean to truly offend anyone, she knows better than to trust most people she comes into contact with. She shows a great amount of disdain to strangers but still hopes to be able to open up to them later on if they prove their trustworthiness. Regardless, once someone does become one of their friends she shows a much lighter and positive side to her.


Monica being a half-vampire doesn't suffer from the usual physical downsides of being a half. (Changing into something hideous) However, her personality can change depending on how much she yearns for blood. A sated Monica tends to be rather cool and calm the majority of the time, while a starving one acts far more feral and animalistic. Because of her appearance, Monica tries her hardest to live a life as close to a regular human as possible. While she definitely looks the part, her changing hair and mark give her away to most people.

Monster Half Species: Vampire


Original Tribe's Location: Inside of caves


Background: Monica was born the daughter of a vampiric father and a human mother. Her parents had a surprisingly loving relationship, and her father planned to have the two of them marry. Unfortunately, word of such an arrangement spread through the various monster tribes like wildfire, and it was on her 12th birthday that Monica's parents were both killed in front of her. Through sheer luck, she managed to escape her attackers and fled to a rural city where she lived the majority of her life. Surviving solely from stealing, and tricking those more fortunate than her.


Treasures: Higher ranking vampires are known to have exquisite castles and lairs filled to the brim with expensive loot taken from humans.

PARTY RELATIONS




Roles: Her vampiric abilities make her a natural at combat, and her exceptional speed is useful in a number of situations. Humans have a natural affinity towards vampires, and she can often talk her way out of conflict with them if given a chance.


Skills: Inhuman strength and speed, and benefits from incredible durability. However, Vampires have several weaknesses and her effectiveness drops quickly if they ever come to play.

His jaws split to reveal a multitude of tendrils, mostlikely tongues, that can move independently,giving him a more intimidating feel

Skills: amazing strength, agile, regenerative abilities. The more severe the wound, The longer it takes. Simple cuts can heal in an hour, limbs could take days to reform.( If the heart or head is destroyed, It means death), heightened sense of hearing, incredible sense of smell
