Infinites leg got stuck to the other as the ice recaptured it, then he could feel the effects of frostbite begin to set in as the ice slowly began to climb up his body

“Ugh...” Infinite could only grunt as the biting cold spread like a disease. It wouldn’t take long for him to turn into a snowjackal. “Cease this buffoonery at once,” he commanded, raising his voice an octave. “Or face the consequences.”

Tiny rolled her eyes. Not because of the hall monitor’s empty threats, but because her least favourite bee showed up. “Oh, great,” she muttered. “It’s the snitch.”

Crystal howled before a gauntlet of ice formed on her right hand and she pressed it against Infinite's chest, by this point he could feel his core temperature dropping significantly, and not letting up.

But thankfully after what seemed like forever, but in actuallity was about 10 seconds, the door that Infinite was walking towards was kicked open by Gale "what on Mobiüs is going on here!?" She demanded. This outburst jolted crystal back to her senses and she stopped dreading Infinite and went and hugged herself by the wall, trying to close herself off from everything.

Just like that, it was all over. Infinite was down on one knee, breaths shallow, shaky. Wide sections of his black fur were still covered in frost that wouldn’t melt, even at room temperature.

“Oh...” Seeing him like this, Tiny couldn’t help but feel sorry for the poor guy. Even if he was a huge jerk. “Are you okay?”

She reached out to touch him, but yanked back her hand when she felt just how cold he really was. “Ohmigod,” she looked to the only adult in the room. “T-This is bad! He’s frozen solid! What do we do?!”

Gale growled lowly and pinched the bridge of her muzzle "everyone get back to your rooms" she stated and grabbed Infinite before taking him to the nurse's office to defrost him.

Infinite was in no state to fight back. All he could do was mutter incoherently while he was dragged down the hallway. “Wait...I can still...Ugh...”

Tiny watched in awed silence, unaware that she was holding her breath. She only let it go when she realized that her wrist was still shackled to Tox’s. “Hey, hold on, we’re still stu—!”

Too late. They were gone. Grumbling, she turned to the white wolf huddling in the corner. “Jeez, Crystal. You didn’t have to go so hard on him. I know he deserved it, but...” She sighed, shaking her head. “Nah, he totally deserved it.”

“What the hell just happened?”

Willow could barely move the entire time she was forced to watch their former captor be immediately and easily stunted by what looked like magic. Her beak hung open in both awe and fear. “How did you do that?” was all she asked the girl hugging the wall, her powers inspiring a type of fascination in the swallow, who momentarily forgot about the fact that she was tied up to a smelly boy and her double-crossing BFF.

"Crystal look at the bright side you get to be in detention with us!" Try to make a joke out of it which he Couldn't he sighed and said "look you will most likely get a ton of detention but I'll be there with you so you dont have to brave it alone, ok"

Tiny couldn’t help but crack a smile. The green hedgehog’s optimism was contagious. “Yeah, and now that the hall monitor’s gone, we can do whatever we want until then!”

Giggling, she began to rub her hands together in anticipation. “What do you guys wanna do next? Break some windows? Light a couple fires? Can’t get in trouble when you’re already in trouble!”

Meanwhile, Infinite reclined on a cot in a room that smelled like lemons. The nurse had given him a stress ball to pass the time, and the more he thawed out, the harder he squeezed it.

The white curtain separating him from the world pulled back. He expected it to be Ms. Fenrir or the nurse, so when he saw Principal Robotnik hovering over him, the stress ball exploded in his grip.

The doctor only smiled his signature grin. It was time for the jackal to get a little...upgrade.

The teacher’s lounge was mostly empty. Mostly. The only other soul in there was the school’s oldest and loneliest janitor, Gunner.

The bloodhound stood next to the coffeepot, nursing at his sixth cup of the day. Droopy eyes slowly looked up at the bat standing in the doorway. His nose twitched from the assault that was too much perfume. “Huh, you’re here early,” he muttered. “Is it lunchtime already?”

“You’re not going anywhere with him attached to you.” Willow laughed, pointing at the two who were joined at the wrist. “But I do like the idea of breaking a few windows, especially after Infinite got to...” She flailed her arms in an attempt to get any lingering Infinite-cooties off of her. “Hey, Crystal, maybe you can use your superpowers for like... fun? Like throwing ice through the window, or sending snowballs straight into Dumbfinite’s face!” She started snickering again, this time grabbing her stomach. “Man, Tiny, we can pull off way cooler pranks now that we have her with us!”

“Phew!” She sighed, but the sight of the janitor sent Rouge into a jolt-induced flutter. Just as she thought she scored an escape from the madness! “Oh, my! Hello, uh, janitor!” The bat sashayed to the nearest empty seat, which was also a measurable distance from her strange coworker. “Early?! What do you mean, I’m right on time.” She hesitated, glancing at the clock. The ticking was the only sound aside from her own heavy breathing and the drip of coffee into the hound’s cup. It only stressed her out more. “You don’t know, dear janitor! Er, my schedule was changed...”

“It’s Gunner.” The old dog chuckled, his laugh a gritty rasp. “Don’t blame you for forgetting it. Doesn’t roll off the tongue like Rouge does.”

With sluggish movements, he grabbed another styrofoam cup and filled it. “Heard all of the ruckus from here. Couldn’t control the classroom, eh?” He sighed, as if recalling a fond memory. “Back in my day, they’d beat the disrespect out of you.”

Gunner laughed again, as if he just said something funny and relatable. “Here, have a cup.” He offered her the coffee. “Just brewed a fresh pot. May not look like it, but I make a mean cup o’ joe.”

Only being able to sit there and stare, distractedly listening to the musings of what increasingly felt like a madman in the midst of a school, Rouge fidgeted gloved fingers towards a nearby stapler. Just in case. She had heard stories about him, seen his figure in passing, but never quite spoke to the mysterious janitor of Green Hill High. At least, she couldn’t remember if she had.

“Gunner, is it?” Her gloss-covered lips crept up into a crooked forced smile. The silence was choking the air from the teacher’s beating chest, who couldn’t help but think she wasn’t paid enough for what she has to go through. “Yeah, it was quite the scene,” she heaved the words out, even though it was a topic that usually inspired her to become quite the passionate speaker, “there was a girl, Crystal—she’s new—she froze the entire floor... I mean, maybe you should check it out? Don’t want it to scuff the flooring, of course.”

Rouge only nodded to feign gratitude for the coffee cup. She stared at the contents without saying a word.

A delighted squeak erupted from the little mouse. She clapped her hands, forgetting that Tox’s wrist was still strapped to hers. She ended up jerking his arm around along with hers.

“You’re SO right!” She then looked up at the wolf. “Crystal, I take back what I said about you earlier. You’re amazing!”

~~~
“Oh, really...?” Gunner leaned back, stroking his muzzle, deep in thought. “This one sounds like a troublemaker. Could use a little talking-to.”
Gulping the rest of his coffee, he headed for the door, slapping on his dust mask along the way. “Don’t be surprised if the girl doesn’t show up for class tomorrow,” he called over his shoulder. “You know how it is. One bad apple can spoil the bunch. Sometimes we need to get rid of those bad apples.”
With that, Gunner left.
Crystal had gotten up and slowly made her way back to her room, leaving a trail of ice behind her, she remained closed off after realizing what she did.
Gale sighed, hoping that certain actions won't have to be taken to keep her daughter safe.
Tiny’s ears drooped slightly when the new kid walked off without a word. “Wow, rude.” She crossed her arms and pouted. “Maybe I should take back what I said just now too.”
The door to the abandoned classroom creaked open. Gunner had wanted to see for himself the extent of the girl’s so-called power, and he wasn’t disappointed. A thick sheet of ice covered the floor and most of the desks. Didn’t look like it would melt anytime soon.
The old hound sniffed the air, attempting to detect a lingering scent. Finally he picked up on the exact one that he was looking for. “Got you now.”
Chuckling to himself, Gunner turned and left the giant icebox. Following the trail, he strolled down the hallway leading to the dormitories, humming a cheerful tune along the way.
Crystal had eventually fallen asleep in her room.
Gale walked to the schools gym, since no one is supposed to be there, she went to the weights and set some up before beginning a work out as she thought about what to do.
"Tiny?" Asked tox "ya know are hands are still like shackled in brutal chains of despair." He nonchalantly said pointing to the "chains of despair" tox said to tiny " we should do some thing about those. If you want to be chains to a not stinky boy who showers sometimes and all ways puts on deodorant and toxic super fast hedgehog."
Willow huffed, crossing her arms as she watched the girl leave. "Well, we better get going then. Maybe Ms. Rouge or Eggman has the keys." She motioned towards the exit to the dormitories before marching in its direction.
Rouge watched the door close and her eyes lingered on the closed panel of wood, trying to convince her conscience that what she thought the janitor meant was not what he said. But, from the rumors she's heard, the bat knew her senses couldn't be wrong.
"Damn it!" She slammed her fist on the table, the coffee jumping in its cup. "First, I have to deal with rowdy brats and now I have to stop some creep?!" The exhausted teacher buried her head in her hands with a loud groan.
“Yeah, I guess you guys are right,” Tiny sighed, glancing down at the handcuffs. “Can’t do anything until we deal with these stupid things. Let’s go!”
Dragging Tox along behind her, the little rodent scampered towards the double doors leading outside. Before she could even reach the push bars, they swung open.
In the entranceway stood the janitor. The old hound stared down at the trio with bloodshot eyes. Every laboured breath he took was amplified by the respirator sitting on his muzzle.
“So, there really are more of you,” Grunner grunted. “The nose never lies.”
Tiny made a small yelp before scurrying to hide behind her friends. She didn’t like the look or sound or ANYTHING about this guy.
The mongrel lumbered closer, his boots creating heavy thuds against the floor. “Is there a reason why you children...aren’t in class?”
" why yes sir we got out of class early Mr. janitor sir." said tox politely " we needed to get these handcuffs off." he lifted up his "shackled" hand while doing so he showed 4 key tattoos that he had and they were different colors
“Yeah, what he said.” Willow nodded, taking a step to place herself between her shackled friends and the towering hound. “We were just on our way out. It was nice meeting you, dude.” She looked back at Tox and Tiny briefly, before sidestepping the janitor.
Handcuffs? The janitor shook his head and muttered. “Kids these day. Playing around with the darnedest things.”
Gunner had no interest in staying around to wrangle a bunch of brats. Not when he had somewhere to be.
The old dog started to trudge forward, but stopped to look over his shoulder and give one last piece of advice. “You three stay out of trouble.”
Then he turned his back on them, and ventured further into the labyrinth that were the dormitories. Eventually the trail he followed ended at a door. From the look of it, he could surmise that it was most likely locked. Bony fingers rapped against it, knocking. All there was left to do was wait.
There was no answer from crystals door, just a very thin layer of ice coating the outside of the door handle
