Grand Fleet

Theon folded his arms, recalling the planets and star formation he saw when he first ventured there. "It seems to be simply an area of space that the Fleet missed in it's initial purge, and remained just out of our range. Also yes, we did encounter demons there, as well as Immortals. Though, there were no particularly large power sources in the immediate area, I'm led to believe that the Huntsmen have yet to discover it themselves." Not that he knew the weight of a Hunstman's power, he could only compare it to when he was close to the command ships, feeling the immense pressure of a Sentinel's soul, while still being lightyears away.

@Raikou Kaminari

Acantha simply pointed to her colleague in a causual manor. She soon noted that the new artificial was kinda handsome, although definitely not her type. "That demon knocked little Theon here unconscious" she said in a slight mocking tone and elbowing Theon softly.

"Sounds like the Grand Fleet is heading into a real fight then. Do you think the Sentinels will participate in fighting directly?" Morgan asked. It was hard to think the Fleet really missed a region of space just like that. He noted the joke Acantha made about Theon being defeated by a demon. It was about time he had some excitement though a campaign against immortals and demons ought to be fun. Maybe he'll meet his glorious death there in the Red Zone. If it's not red yet it will be metaphorically because demons and immortals don't actually have blood.

"Yeah, sure sounds like it. But honestly I doubt the Sentinels will need to lift a finger, and if the Immortals or Demons do put up a fight, all it'd take is a few Mech-level soldiers to put them down. There was only one Immortal there who had reached his armoured form, when we left." Theon cracked his knuckles and shot a somewhat frustrated glance over at Acantha. "Maybe we'll end up having to fight them off, we are the closest ones to them after all."

@Raikou Kaminari@Petroshka

Acantha saw his glance and gave him a big smile. "Sentinels probably wont think much about a pocket of immortals and demons." Hmmm a LT Morgan, i should look up his files later. "And besides, from what I hear, bad town demons are much stronger than the one we faced." She shrugged and glanced at theon once more.

It was fairly easy for the young Officer to get off track in the massive ship, taking random turns in hope of finding her way  to the control section. After some time, she recognized Acantha's and Theon's voice coming from her right, and she turned that way when the first opportunity sprang up.  Officer followed theirs and someone else's voice down the narrow hallway, until she walked upon the two and the man that had its back turned to her. Forfax stood next to LT Morgan as she saluted Theon and nodded Acantha's way. "That's true, we can only hope that those demons won't join the Immortals that we encountered, otherwise there will be more than acceptable amount of casualties".

A thought occured to him. "Won't the Grand Fleet fighting with the immortals and demons of fhe Red Zone attract the attention of the Huntsmen?" Lt Morgan asked. He noted the new arrival who had appeared from somewhere behind him. He took this moment to sweep his vision over the area making sure the guards of his unit were doing their jobs and then another cursory glance at the force field. This was prompted by the thought of demons and immortals making a combined assault on the fleet though he doubted such a force would go missed. That would make for one hell of a fight.

Theon greeted Gabriel politely, leaning against a nearby wall. "Well, if a fight were to occur right here, then Bad Town might actually be a problem.. but, once we reach the Red Zone, i'm sure it'd be too far away for the Huntsmen to realise. But you never know, maybe the Sentinels would gain an upper hand if the Huntsmen came directly to them. Besides, all throughout history, Huntsmen haven't shown interest in Sentinel souls, just those Immortals." He folded his arms tightly, wondering to himself about the fate of the Grand Fleet. It was crazy to think that their primary objection could be completed so soon.

"Artificial souls probably taste terrible" Acantha shrugged at her joke. "I wonder why the lieutenant keeps staring at the shields? Surely if they go down alarms will go off and i doubt the attackers will go unnoticed with a ship this size." She gestured at the ship around them. Then she eyed Gabriel's leg. "How's your leg?

@Rurnur @Gabriel Forfax @Raikou Kaminari

Gabriel briefly sighed at the question, deliberately choosing to lie. "Good as new, did you manage to recover before you were assigned?", she asked both of them, glancing at the shield that Acantha mentioned. With ships that are couple of light years in diameter, it always piqued the Officer's interest as to how do they take care of the ships' shields. Finally, Gabriel remembered to introduce herself to the lieutenant, stretching her right hand for a handshake. "Mind my manners, I'm Officer Forfax", she politely smiled at the unknown Artificial.

After a short meeting, getting to know a number of the new security team members, Theon left to continue his patrol, and so he did, for the following week. It was quite a humbling experience, trying to act as a force of power in these massive halls, he never saw himself as a "powerhouse" like many of the other team members. The Fleet's flight had been going well so far, but now they reached a dangerous point in their journey, the closest point to Bad Town on their way to this "Red Zone". It was always unnerving when they had to be this close, but it never really caused any problems, even as he patrolled these halls, Bad Town grew further and further away, bringing him comfort.

For the past week Lt Morgan has been dilligently patrolling his section, he has been expecting an attack for a while now. He was always dissappointed by the end of his guard shifts when an attack did not occur. His blood was boiling for some action. He dreamed of becoming a martyr in the great battle to come, his name will go down in history as a hero. He didn't expect to survive what's to come which is why he'll go all out when the battle comes.

Acantha was lounging around in her quarters as she had gotten enough information from one of the patrol officers to blackmail them if she ever got in trouble not patroling. She was on her data pad finalizing plans for the upcoming battle with the red zone. Accounting for unknowns and possibilities she would have a backup plans for her backup plans. But no one could really tell the future, Acantha knew this and was really just doing this for fun. If worst came to worst she could just use the Aether syringe and tell her new self its better to serve the grand fleet in life than throwing her life away like the late captain did.

William Rundell Haus Code. He did rather like that name. It had a certain flair to it as he rolled the 'r' in Rundell, saying it aloud. He was glad he had chosen it, for it added the finesse he had been searching for in his identity. Will Code was terribly savage in comparison. He smirked, that was his old life, his human life. He didn't need that, nor the name any more. He had evolved, both improving his genes and name in a perfect promotion of irony. Of course that had lead to the extinction of many people to get him there, but they had been worthy sacrifices, for they had created such a beautiful and divine being such as himself! He sighed contentedly, gazing out at the Grand Fleet through the cockpit of his small transport ship, placidly. He had stolen it from a smuggler who was doing runs in the red zone for a certain type of drug that grew only on a certain planet. Too bad he, William Rundell Haus Code, was also the other thing indigenous to the planet. He grinned as he nudged the smuggler sitting next to him, soul already devoured, "Do you, good sir, suppose your 'comrade in trade' will let me in? Oh I do hope he will, I sense great power emanating from within!" He laughed, hitting the dead man's arm lightly with excitement, only for it to fall off anyway. He smiled and shook his head, "You have already given me a hand getting here, good sir, there is no need for it in a literal sense." He chuckled, but still picked up the arm. Turning away, there was a grotesque sound of flesh tearing a bones breaking before William turned back, a bloodstained smile on his lips, "You may not have the best of tastes, but you are very filling nonetheless."

He finally noticed that there was an incoming transmission coming in from the port. He pressed accept, "This is the Grand Fleet docking port 03652. Please confirm identification." William wiped his mouth with a handkerchief and grinned, "This is the S.T.S. Starlight, code 29873921, requesting docking." He had studied the way the humans had executed these procedures many times, having never experienced it from his less luxurious background as a human. It was ridiculously easy to fool humans it seemed. The one in the other side probably hadn't even noticed the change in voice, or he just didn't care because his rose an octave in excitement, "Ross? Do you have the 'items' then? Quick, come aboard!" A grin slowly spread on William's face, yes, yes... This was good. The ship docked and he stepped out into the tiny hanger that looked to just barely fit in his small transporter. He saw a man approach him, "So how much was there? You filled all the crates right?" He seemed very animated about the whole situation, but perhaps he thought William was just a subordinate if the 'Ross' fellow. William shrugged and stuck an arm through the man's chest, "I filled the crates with the bodies of the consumed crew, if that answers your question." He watched in delight at the fearful expression on the man's face as he died, his heart being crushed in the demon's hand. William closed his eyes, allowing himself a moment to enduldge himself a enjoy the soul he was consuming. It wasn't very powerful, not very special, but he required sustenance to attain a better form. Moving along the platform, shaking his arm in an attempt to remove the blood, he left the hanger and found himself in a hallway. Confused, he kept walking in hopes of finding some form of direction or large group of people. His goal was to either consume a large group of people now, or integrate himself into the populace so he could seek out the souls rich in power and flavour. Either way, it would require him to remain passive towards the humans until he could complete either goal.

@Rurnur (Eating the guy's arm didn't improve his soul as promised, but I still wanted him eating people like that. Let's just say it gives him physical sustenance. :P )

Acantha was about to throw away the datapad and take a nap when she felt a strange ominous aura that she had felt before. "curious" she got out of her quarters and started to walk toward the direction of this aura, how did one get here and so close without tiggering the alarmsHer pace quickened, more curious about the aura of dark matter that was unique to demons. Its simple, once I spot it I have a conversation with it, then trigger the alarms while getting away, offering him no good route to pursue me. Her mind was racing about all the possible ways she could go about this and what she would do when something unexpected comes up. As she got there, she hid her aura, nothing looked out of the ordinary except the dark matter was thick here. Jeez, and an alarm hasnt gone off yet? She instinctively covered her nose with her hand but soon realized that was useless. Then she spotted him, the demon, her smile grew and she changed her expression to a friendly one, walking towards him waving. "Hey! what are you doing here? you dont look like a civilian" she walked closer to him but staying a good 20 feet away with her facade unbreaking.

LT Morgan stood on the Bridge of his starship in the Security Halls monitoring the Outer Rim ships with scanners and visuals. The scanners picked up a Shuttle which was a reported as one of the routine supply ships and the time matched as well as the code so that didn't seem out of the ordinary. The thing is they haven't heard back from the crew who were supposed to inspect and inventory the supplies than report the numbers back to his ship so he can relay them to Command in his next status update. But nothing but silence not even a confirmation message that they had begun inspection. Normally he would have assumed the crew was slacking off or forgetting something but since the Fleet is on high alert he didn't have the luxury of assumption.

LT Morgan said to one of the operators "Bring up the feed from the starship that just received a supply shipment and also scan that ship as well." he commanded. Another operator replied "Sir another officer was reported to be heading towards the ship." Morgan frowned and then he felt it probably because it was his first time he ever sensed he missed but he could sense it an ominous presence. Then the security feed and scans of the ship were displayed on the main screen of the bridge. "Sir, multiple dead lifeforms and your gonna wanna see this." the operator said showing a feed from the Hangar the ship landed it. He watched someone who looked apart of the supply crew put his arm through the soldier who came to check the shipment.

"Sound the alarm and report to command, have all other outer rim ships check in. I am going to deal with the problem personally, because only soldiers like me can. My second shall command but also keep me updated of any new developments. He may not be acting alone." Lt Morgan ordered before about facing and marching out of the Bridge. He quickly made his way down to one of the port side hangars and took a small transport ship towards the compromised outer rim ship. He tried to radio whoever thw other officer was "This is LT Morgan, I am heading towards your position to back you up. I would prefer if you waited for me to engage the target. Do you copy?"

@Petroshka   @Destructus Kloud

William turned to the new voice and grinned, "Hello there! And who do I have the pleasure of meeting on this fine ship?" He purred, grinning at the human whilst bowing, "I am William Rundell Haus Code, crew to the ship you see before me." He had hid the body, but his hand was still bloody. He tucked it behind his back as he bowed to further enhance the fanciful-ness of the gesture, "Tell me, you seem to exude an uncommon aura. Are you really human like the rest?" He asked, a devilishly curios smile prancing across his lips. Indeed they were a powerful being, probably one of the most powerful William had come across, save for another demon. But he had beaten and consumed that other demon, and there were no rules in canabalism, so he had taken whatever other souls that demon had consumed as well. All in all, it was a delcious snack, one of the most divine he'd tasted and he was eager to discover if this persons was any different. It was at this moment that alarms began going off as lights flashed and sirens blared, "I say, what the devil is going on?" He asked the human, confused. It couldn't be as a result of him, now could it? He had merely stepped aboard the ship for a few moments, no human was that perceptive. Unless... There's another. An Immortal, perhaps...?  He pouted, looking displeased. He wouldn't mind a snack of that level now, but it meant he couldn't Marshall his strength by consuming more humans. His ears pricked as he sensed something, a powerful presence, even more so than the human before him. Oh yes, that definitely felt like an immortal of some kind. He almost celebrated internally, fine. If it wanted to be consumed now, so be it.

@Petroshka @Raikou Kaminari

Acantha returned the malicious expression from the demon with another sinister smile of hers, "I am human! say, what made you as-" as the alarms went off she looked up now they see him, or did they find more? She faked an expression of shock and worriedness. She then heard LT Morgan on the radio. "They might have found immortals! we should hide" she looked at him once more "or do you want to see if we can have some fun and watch the immortals get dealt with?" she winked. She quietly and mischievously strung strings around this demon in case he does anything rash.

William smiled kindly at the woman before him as he took a step forward. If an attack was coming, he would need all the strength he could absorb, "Say, would you just come here and help me for a moment Madame? I believe I have injured my hand." He revealed his bloodied hand, an attempt to trick her into thinking the blood was his so that she would come close. And then he would kill her and take the soul within. He continued to walk over to her slowly, smiling invitingly all the while.

Acantha eyed the demon's injured hand, staring at it for a few seconds. "It doesnt look serious and i'm not qualified to treat wounds" Yes I am, she thought to herself. "I can take you to the medibays if you allow me" He thinks i'm an idiot. More strings are laid out between and around the two as tensions rise with the conversation they're having. "Say, what regiment do you belong to?"

LT Morgan's ship landed in the hangar of the outer rim ship. As he pulled into the ship he radioed the Bridge of his starship back in the Security Hall. "Lock down this ship no one but an officer leaves or enters this ship." he ordered. Then the Hangar doors all slammed shut the escape pods all locked into place the windows all covered by airlock shutters. He has trapped the demon he hoped but had also trapped himself his ally with it. He exited his transport and his boots clanked on the metal deck, he immediately drew his blade. He could sent the dark matter as well as presence of the other Artificial.

As he walked he created a small explosion in his hand and absorbed it back into his body energizing himself. He also tuned in his comm to his ally on the ship using it to eavesdrop unless she had disabled it. He still however locked onto the signal following that and the presence to the target. His expression was one of pure glee the great fight has begun.

Lighted by the reflectors, the vast room simply called Training ground was filled with various exercise machines, shooting targets, few boxing rings and a simulator designed to test a soldier's skill and reaction time. Soldiers of all kinds were occupying the Training ground, and if someone would to look on their right upon entering the room he would likely find the earth artificial practicing on the punching bag, kicking it with enough strength to spill its content. For the past week Officer Forfax would come there to practice after every patrol, sparring with others and practicing on her own to hone her physical abilities. She figured that she would be much more effective if she depended less on her minions, and that was her train of thoughts as she moved on to punching the bag, making it wildly swing on its chains as her fist came in contact with it. Gabriel looked up at the alarm as it sounded, and she didn't waste a moment as she picked up the spear from the weapon holder, running towards the door and outside before anyone realized what was happening. She touched the ear device asking to be connected with Theon, before saying "Captain! What's the situation?". Gabriel stood, waiting for feedback as she looked to her left and right, waiting for Otrov to tell her where should she head as the alarm was still painfully setting off.

@Rurnur

The hallway lights suddenly dimmed, switching to a different system, Theon knew what this meant. This change between systems to improve efficiency could only be triggered by a combat alert. "Intruders, huh? Immortals trying to stop the fleet?" He hadn't detected any energy sources, so the security breach must be pretty far off from his location. He had to hold his position, and put faith in the other security team members. After all, if everyone just gave up their position, they'd be making the whole Fleet even more vulnerable. He quickened his pace, trying to cover more distance than usual, to improve his overall efficiency at guarding the fleet.

After a short moment, he started receiving communications from his headset. It was.. Gabriel? Calling him "Captain" again huh..? Jeez. "I wouldn't know, Gabriel, i'm not your superior any more, remember?" He rubbed his forehead, still patrolling the halls. "There must be a security breach, right? Do you feel any disturbances? If not, then it must be far off from our positions. Don't forget your job, and don't get too eager. The others on the security team will be able to handle things, trust them."

@Gabriel Forfax

"Regiment, you say?" William didn't know what regiment he was. He hadn't even been aware the humans had regiments or whatever that was supposed to be, "I am from the... 501st Regiment, indubitably." He nodded as if he knew exactly what he was talking about, and to be quite honest his acting was very hard to distinguish  from the truth. He could tell a person that he was a living planet and they would have a hard time trying to find any trace of a lie in his demeanour. Aside from the fact that he clearly wasn't a planet. But thankfully you couldn't guess rank at a glance so William was free to lie all he liked. He continued to walk fowards until he was almost touching one of the wires that he had failed to notice, "Could we go to the medical facility you speak of then, please?" He gave her a charming smile, "I could really use your help, friend." He reached out to her like he was trying to shake her hand, his gloved hand seeming almost welcoming.

@Petroshka @Raikou Kaminari(Is your char in the same room as us then? that being the hanger area.)

Malesh Nytarr

The Virus Immortal

Malesh was slightly beyond the outer rim, only close enough to be able to make visual contact with the Great Fleet's ships. He was containing his energy and soul within as much as possible, most methods of detection would either rely on that or visual contact. The Immortal had come to make sure that there would be an opening for the others, regardless of their general method on how to obtain a ship.

He observed a smaller ship going into an hangar bay, but that was as much as he required seeing. He was planning to go into the same ship as it, but soon enough the ship seemed to close down. All I have to do is go in and be a proper distraction. If something comes out of it, then it will be perfect. Thus the Virus Immortal went full speed towards the ship not stopping even as there was a hangar in front of him. His body simply going through the metal.

He looked around quietly. Now that he was into the enemy's territory and hopefully attracting attention, he had to be careful and take as much of their focus as possible.
