After a three hour drive, Lars finally arrived at the last destination of his months-long tour. After that, he would only play occasionally in places near his hometown in Belgium. It was a bigger venue than usual, and unlike the day before it wasn't some obscure ugly part of the town, but right in its heart. It was not even noon yet, but he and his crew still didn't lose time to carry in his gear, which, fortunately, wasn't a lot - just his electric-acoustic guitar, a solid state Marshall combo, a mic and way too many cables for backup. After positioning everything on stage, he was free to leave for now, which he was glad for; although he loved his crew, he sticked around with them way too much and just needed a bit of time without them.
He went outside and looked around, hoping to find a nice place to eat something since his stomach was rumbling. The town was lively since the weather was good - a bit cloudy as expected for this month, but mild temperatures and no rain. On his way, he noticed that the town was a bit too lively for a normal day; he saw a large crowd of people and a couple of what he believed to be food stands. How convenient - he decided to check it out and walked towards the crowd. He passed a poster that promoted the Fall Festival - so that's what it was. Way more exciting than sitting in a restaurant or cafe.
There was way too much to choose from when it came to food, but his hunger made him decide quickly. "I'll take a coffee and tagliatelle with arrabiata sauce, please." He was quickly served a small plastic bowl full of pasta smelling of tomato and garlic, as well as a paper cup with hot coffee. He took both and tried finding a free spot on the wooden benches and wooden tables. "Is this spot open?", he asked a person who he wanted to sit down next to.
