He covers his face with his hands and begins to sob. You can see the little fluctuations in his ungodly thinned chest as his pitiful sobs lightly fill your ears. He takes a bit of his sleeve and shoves it over his mouth, pressing down to suppress the sound. Now the whole resteraunt was looking at the boy with distain. A younger man calmly asks you to leave from the next seat over as the boy hangs his head

"i-it's okay, it's been there for a few days now, and there's no way we could afford it anyways. T-Those sort of things cost more than a home..."

he barely manages to choke out between sobs

Isabella groaned hungrily as she walked down the busy streets of the city her bunny held tightly in her hands as she walked seemingly invisible to all as she looked around for some food. Her dirtied ripped purple dress swaying with each step she took as she looked around frowning as she spotted a cake shop only making her tummy growl more. "Food." She said quietly before she looked around and saw a fresh produce store that had racks and racks of fresh fruit sitting out in front of it. She stared at it for a sec before she slowly made her way over and when she got to the store she couldn't help it and grabbed an apple biting into it immediately and quickly chewing it before biting into it again and repeating the same process ferociously till she heard a yelling making her look up to see a big store clerk charging out of the door at her making her scream as she dropped her bunny along with the apple and started running as he chased after her yelling and holaring at her in rage as he cheated the poor child down the street

Leonard took hold of the child's shoulder gently. "It's alright," he said, not knowing how to soothe him. "Does it hurt?"

To the man he replied, "we are," trying to keep his face as straight as possible. He was disappointed when he saw all the disgusted faces. Never coming here again, he resolved, even if I can afford it. Never wanna be like these people. He noticed a woman in a large hat who looked vaguely familiar.

"I'll think of something," he told the child. He was right about it not being cheap however; the cost would probably be far higher than Leonard's estimate, especially if he needed surgery. Leonard wiped sweat from his upper lip, where am I gonna get thousands of dollars from? He thought. Alexandra? No, asking her was out of the question. She'd already said she'd be broke after paying the food bill. Leonard sighed, that surprised him. Wasn't she rich? Still, he thought, her spending habits are none of my business.

"Come on, let's go," Leonard said, approaching the exit. They'd go to the hospital nonetheless.

Through the glass doors, he saw a child being chased by a man, her white hair trailing behind her. He looked on, open-mouthed. It definitely didn't look like a father-daughter bonding exercise. He stepped out, ready to follow, but hesitated, waiting for the boy to come out. By then, the pair were already out of sight.

By the time Leonard looks back, the kid has darted down the road and is turning the corner after them, running faster than any Olympic champion in just that brief instant of mutual fear for the other kid. He slows down for a second, probably thinking before darting down a side street with far less foot traffic.

In a matter of minutes, he was able to get a good few feet in front of them. He rushes down the alley just as the poor girl runs through. He grabs her arm and tugs her into the alley, covering her mouth with the sleeve of his jacket

"shhhh shhhh it's okay, I'm here to help you."

Leonard's eyes widened again. Woah, he can run. "Hey!" he called after the kid, and started to run too. He winced a little as he felt his knee ache, but continued, assuming the boy had run in fear of him.

When he turned the corner he couldn't see the the children at all. He scanned around, but still didn't find them. He sighed in exasperation, as he walked past the alleyway. Leonard kept on walking until he ended up a couple of streets down. Where did he go? he thought, running a hand through his hair. He stuffed an onion ring into his mouth and chomped it down.

He went to a passerby, an elderly, white man in an orange jumper and asked, "Have you seen a boy about my height in an oversized jacket?" The man shook his head. Leonard continued, "Or a little girl running down the street? She was being chased."

"N-no, I haven't seen anything like that." The man looked surprised by the question and edged back before walking away.

"Psst. Leo. Leo, over here!"

he he gives a sort of whisper yell toward. Leo. He sits in a pile of trash, trying to keep the younger girl calm. He peers into her eyes with his own and continues to try to comfort her. He didn't quite know why she was being chased, but he was there to help nonetheless

Alexandra Rose

Once Alexandra entered the square, she noticed that vendors were lined up in two rows facing each other and separated to allow customers in between them. She leaned over a bit, trying to see if she could see the end but to no avail it had seemed there wasn't due to all the people already there blocking her view. With a shrug, she began walking only to be stopped by a group of fans who wanted a photo. Reluctantly, she agreed, not minding the attention for the time being. After she was done, she walked over to a stand where they were selling vegetables. Grabbing a bag, she picked up some random items and paid for them. Then she went to a stand where they were selling fruits and she did the same thing. Alexandra had done this to many vendors that were selling different items of food that eventually she wasn't able to carry anything. Great. She had pulled out enough money to buy groceries and had a little bit to spend, but no more hands to do so. As if on queue, Alexandra noticed a poster pinned to a post that read:

Come One Come All! The Fall Festival Has Arrived!

When: Sept 13th

Where: Center Of Town

Time: 7 AM to 6 PM

Vendors from neighboring towns and cities gather to sell food, hand-made objects, and a bunch of other exciting things. There will be a band for music and many activities to enjoy!

"Hmm. Interesting." She said to herself once she finished reading the poster. "Wonder if I will have someone to go with."

With the thought in mind, Alexandra walked away from the vendors and people to go back to her home. As she walked, she thought about the people she knew and was wondering who she was gonna see would hang out with her. After aimlessly thinking about random things, she eventually reached her house which looked modern and something any other person with a lot of money would get. Her goal was to not get a house to make her stand out om everyone else, but also indicated that she was important nonetheless. Once she entered, she locked the doors and began to put her groceries away.

The child scrambled in fear of the man before she felt a hand grab her and pull her out of the way and covered her mouth making her struggle in fear against the person as the massive man charged passed still trying to find her. By now she had realized she has dropped her precious bunny and was struggling weakly against the person holding her. She was scared of what was gonna happen as she continued to weakly struggle trying to go back to get her bunny

As he was now some distance away, Leonard didn't hear the boy's call. He lingered in place for a moment before sitting on a worn bench. Can't think on an empty stomach, he reasoned, and started on the pasta. After finishing half the box, he put it away, feeling drowsy and thankful that Emilio's served generous portions.

Leonard stretched and stood, and after scraping  gum from his shoe on the sidewalk, he began to walk to the hospital. A bright poster caught his eye, but his mind was too busy for it to hold his attention for long.

"Hey hey... Calm down, I'm in the same predicament as you."

he turns the kid around to reveal he was a kid himself, peering back at her with crystalline white eyes and a scarred and tear stained face. He has a massive bloody wound in his chest that seems about half scabbed over, but still has half of a blade inside it.

he notices her struggling to get back very weakly. Although he was in no condition to struggle either, he managed to keep her in place for a few moments

"hey, are you okay? Did you lose something?"

"hey, are you okay? Did you lose something?"

"B-bunny." She managed to say as she kept trying to get free from him. Seeing he was a child has stopped her struggling but only for  a sec before she went back to trying to get back to her bunny but she quickly grew tired and her struggling slowed then eventually stopped as she breathes heavily and stared up at the sky with her one eye

"Aww, where did you drop it? I'll find it for you."

he seems pretty disheartened as he notices her missing eye, giving her a saddened and sympathetic look as he takes her hand and begins to walk back down the way she ran, looking for her belongings

The child clung to the boy in fear as she looked around while holding onto his arm tightly as they neared the store and her sight caught her bunny laying next to her Apple making her gasp a little and let go of him running over and quickly picking her dirty purple bunny up hugging it tightly in her arms as she stood there happy her bunny was back in her arms before she looked back to the boy and waited for him to get to her

"Alright, cool." Lars nodded, acknowledging Queens explanation with a tiny bit of admiration for the toughness. When she went to the ropes, he thought he'd better leave her alone for the rest of the evening so she could work out, but she seemed perfectly fine talking while jumping ropes. "Well," he began speaking while thinking about how to explain how he ended up in a gym, "I'm here for... business. I'm a musician, and I am on tour right now." He looked around, trying to get a sense of direction from inside the gym, and then pointed in the direction where he thought the club was. "I played over there earlier. I just saw that something was up here and got curious. And someone was kind enough to let me in."

He looked at the time and decided not to disturb this place any further, for his own sake. "I need to go. Have to get up early tomorrow and go to the next town." He sighed lightly, as he once again had too little time to hang around at one place for longer than a few hours, but he chose this life himself, and it's not like he didn't love it; it just came with some downsides, too. "It was fun here. If I'm around in this town next time, I'll try to sneak in here again." He waved quickly and made his way to the back door he came in through earlier, but turned back one more time. "Oh, and if you want, watch me next time, too." He pulled his wallet and took a slightly wrinkled flyer of his latest album out. Since he couldn't hand it to her right now, he tucked it behind one of the photos of other boxers on the corkboard so it barely stayed in place and was still visible. He waved and finally left the gym before anyone scolded him about the shameless self-promotion.

@Daniel reaving

"Awwww come on and stay a while. Might do you some good." She said but by then he was gone making her sigh as she went back to her rapid jump rope as she looked back to the other main staring at him and waiting for him to speak

@Broncos

the kid approaches the little girl, clutching her stuffed animal in rejoicement. He seems to lighten up as he watches the pure joy envelop her face. It was something capable of bringing someone back from the brink of hopelessness, truly.

"Hey, what's your name? Sorry about that rude interruption back there, but that man looked like he was going to hurt you... My name is Dom."

he seems to be about 12 years old, wearing a large black hoodie at least two sizes too big as well as simple jeans and some beaten old converse shoes that seemed to be tearing apart. His eyes are a crystalline blue or white, and his hair is nearly the inverse, a shade of dark brown or nearly black. His entire face and hands are covered In tiny scars and tear stains, but the stab wound in his chest was obviously the worst, as part of the blade was still in the wound, despite it looking at least a week old

The child looked to him silently as he asked why the man was chasing her and then she pointed to a half eaten Apple laying in the road as she went to his side as buddies her face in his side while hugging her bunny tightly. She shivered some but was fine besides the bandages that covered a lot of her body and the eye bandage covering her left eye. She wasn't very tall and was clarly

week, her dirties purple dress showing that she had been in it for more than just a few days, and her beautiful white hair covered in dirt

and black grime from years in the streets as she looked up at the boy then back to the half eaten Apple her stomach growling loudly as food came back to her mind

He looks somberly at the girl, and then at himself. He was in the same boat, but she definitely needed some food immediately.

"okay, would you be okay with me hanging around with you for a bit? I'll take care of you, and I know someone who can help us..."

Noticing the child again he yelled. "Get outta here!!" He bellowed at them[/COLOR]

The kid wastes no time in picking up his newfound friend and hauling down the road and down a few side streets, ending up at a small park after a few moments. Panting and heaving for air, he gently let the girl down and collapsed backward into the grass with a brief

"woo..."

Before the child knew it they were in a park. Looking around curiously before looking back to the boy that had sat on the grass slowly she walked over and sat on his lap curling up to him silently and cuddling her bunny trying to take some of his body heat to keep warm

Leonard entered the urgent care department and went to the desk. "I won't take much of your time, I just wanted to ask how much it'd cost to treat a stab wound with the blade still in the flesh." The woman raised an eyebrow. "Probably around a couple thousand dollars but… let me call a specialist." Leonard clung to hope nonetheless. She ended up ringing someone and handing the phone to Leonard to explain the details.

"I see… thank you," he said when the conversation was over, giving the phone back. The woman on the phone, presumably a doctor, had estimated $2000-$5000, possibly more, but said she'd need to see the boy to be sure. Leonard's heart sank. The homeless shelter downtown offered medical care, but it was very basic; they wouldn't perform a procedure like this - the doctor had confirmed that.

Leonard trudged out of the hospital and walked aimlessly down the street, waiting for something to come to him. As he passed a gym, a huge crowd came into view. He couldn't think why. The street opposite was so quiet he could hear his footfalls. He saw a festival poster again and decided to check out the event later.

A putrid smell hit Leonard's nose and he coughed hard. When he looked over his shoulder, he saw grey smoke pouring out of a side street. Open mouthed, he looked into the narrow street and saw angry flames twisting out of a dumpster. He plunged a frantic hand into his bag and pulled it out again, finding no water. Backing away, he bellowed, "HEY! FIRE!" but no one came. Moving back and looking to the crowd outside the gym he yelled again: "THERE'S A FIRE! FIRE! SOMEONE!"

It wasn't an especially cold day, so she found him to be rather warm. He knew for a fact that they would freeze tonight if he didn't find somewhere to hide though.

As he yelled out frantically some of the people from inside the gym came out the back door with fire extinguishers quickly followed by samantha as she leaned out the door in confusion as the men went to work putting the fire out. "How the hell did this happen?!" She said as she walked to the seen quickly looking at the fire then to the man that was yelling out. "Did you start it?" She asked him with a cold glare as she stood there waiting to be answered

"Psst. Hey, can you speak? You haven't said much this whole time..."

The child looked up at him before shaking her head to his question. It was obvious she could understand, but she has learned very few words before being abandoned so she knew almost nothing

"N'awwwe, that's okay. I'll teach you... Somehow."

he looks down at her with pity in his eyes and a bit of a cringe as she brushes up against the massive crater in his chest with the blade still inside

Leonard sighed in relief as his call was answered. "Thank you." He lingered back, not really able to do anything to help. All that remained now was a steaming pile of rubbish, quite literally.

He returned her glare with a weary look of surprise. "No. I was just passing by." he said, shoving his hands into his pockets. The day just kept getting weirder. I'll go to the festival after this to ease the tension, he thought, it's not far from here. She looked somewhat familiar, but he had no idea who she was. Judging by the tape on her hands, she was a martial artist or boxer. "So you're the one who drew the crowd?" he remarked. With her attitude though, he didn't want to stick around for long.
