Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Emmalia chuckled at the thought. "Sure, that sounds like a plan." Moments later, she went pale with fear. "Callum - what if I can get pregnant? Oh Gods, I could be pregnant right now!" The one point they had that almost completely negated the idea was that, simply, Emmalia was still dead, more human or not.

Callum's eyes widened and said, "Oh my gods." He said. "But last night - but we - what are we going to-" Callum wasn't sure how to process the information, and wasn't sure if he was ready to raise a child.

"Is there nothing in the books about it?! There has to be! Go look, quick!" Emmalia was beginning to utterly panic, but she had no clue where he had kept the journals.

Callum quickly got up from the bed and went over to the table, flipping through the pages over and over again, skimming through the paragraphs until finally coming across the paragraph that explained it. He sighed heavily. "You're still technically dead, you can't have a child."

Emmalia let out a heavy sigh of relief and collapsed back onto the bed. "Thank the Gods for that...." The thought of a child terrified her. She was immortal and unaging, what would a child be? And she wasn't very qualified to raise a child, her own parents had been terrible and she didn't have too much to go off of.

Callum sighed and laid out on the bed beside her. "That's a relief." He said smiling a bit, but soon it faded. "Part of me was kind of excited though..." He admitted, looking over at her.

Emmalia turned her head to look at him and reached out her hand to hold his. They had had this conversation before, and every time it made her feel guilty. "Callum... I'm sorry I can't give you an heir. But even if I could - you're technically undead too. You don't age anymore. Imagine if we had a child? We would have to watch them die of old age - or, if they inherit immortality and only aged through puberty, they would have to watch their loved ones die of old age, but through no fault or choice of theirs." Her thumb gently rubbed the back of his hand as he spoke, and her voice grew softer. "I'm sorry, love. Maybe... in the distant future... we could adopt? I mean you have your job, and I'm what I am, but... we'll see."

Callum frowned a bit and nodded, knowing they had this conversation many times before. It was always disappointing to hear though - he always wanted a legitimate heir to the throne. "Adoption would be nice." He said softly, running his hand along her side. "I suppose you're right."

Emmalia turned on her side and moved close to him, then hugged him tightly while she quickly kissed all over his face, trying to smother him in love so he might stop being upset. She wished she could give him a child, but it was impossible. So why let him ponder it and get upset?

Callum had been thinking about it a lot recently, and was in rather a bad mood because of it. He tried to stay in his stubborn ways, but eventually her assault of kisses brought a smile to his face, and soon he was returning the kisses.

After a few moments, Emmalia pulled away and smiled at him. "Alright. Now what do you want to do?" If he wanted to lay on bed all day, she would be happy. If he wanted to get intimate again, she'd be happy. If he wanted to go to the markets, she'd be happy then too.

Callum thought for a moment as he contemplated his options. "How about we... Have some more fun and then go see what the town has to offer?" He suggested.

Callum blushed only slightly, but smiled all the same. "Well, I'll just have to show you." He said, pulling her down slowly into a passionate kiss.

Some time later, Em and Callum were in the markets of the town, which boasted a seamstress and leather worker of some renown. Emmalia acquired the gloves she would now have to wear often to be on the safe side. They were black, with a silver and gold vine design on the backs, and the palms were soft leather.

Callum had enjoyed shopping with Emmalia, which it seemed he hated doing without her. He found himself liking just about anything as long as Emmalia was by his side. "Did you get everything you needed?" Callum asked.

"Yup." She slipped her gloved hand into his. "You might have to get used to me wearing these pretty often." It would be an adjustment for both of then, to say the least.

"Yeah, I suppose so. I don't mind it too much - at least I know how to win in case you try to kill me." He joked and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.

"I'd never try to kill you," she chuckled, even though they both knew there was a small chance that someday she might snap. "Uh, let's go, see if we can't get a job...." That was a good distraction. It made her ashamed to think about how she could snap.

Callum nodded his head and walked with her to the towns posting board, but was interrupted when a courier approached them. "Excuse me, I have a letter for Mr. and Mrs. Cross."

Emmalia blushed slightly - they technically weren't married yet, but it sounded so nice. She looked up at Callum, hoping he'd take the letter, which she guessed was from Camilla.

Callum thanked the courier and he went on his way. He opened up the note and read it. After a bit he smiled and tucked it away. "The castle is finished rebuilding, and we can head back whenever we please. Camilla is there too."

"Oh, great!" Emmalia was happy that they could go home. She quickly gave him a hug, then started walking with him toward the carriage.

Callum turned and smiled, walking with her to the carriage. Once inside, they endured the long trip back to the Cross Castle. It was a long trip, especially after Callum had enjoyed the wide open forests of where they were staying, but was overall happy when he saw the progress of their castle. He exited their transportation and greeted Camilla in the courtyard.

Emmalia followed behind Callum, and had to remind herself that Callum didn't know that Camilla was a vampire. She greeted Camilla happily, and waited for a chance to tell her about the potion.
