Callum smiled brightly, "Okay, no planning. Let's just see what happens." He said, his hands around her waist and his head in the clouds, holding her close to him and never wanting her to leave.

"I love you," Emmalia said with a soft smile, meaning it with every fiber of her being.

The next morning, Emmalia was already on her wa uh with Camilla in a carriage. "So... where are we headed?"

"Well, I had a beautiful hot springs in mind. Warm year round, with almost boiling hot water in basins and slow moving rivers - think of it as a non stop bath that always stays hot no matter how long you sit in it." Camilla smiled. "I figured it'd be nice to go to so we can let off some steam."

Emmalia smiled and nodded. "Yeah, that'd be really nice, actually." Especially since she could really feel warmth again, the thought had her excited.

Camilla nodded with a smile. "So catch me up on the life of my soon to be sister in law. I want to know everything - were going to be family soon."

"When you were born." He joked. "Just give me some interesting facts. Maybe some important decisions you made. Where you're from." Camilla inadvertently began to rant on and on about herself trying to give Emmalia examples, and never stopped talking until they arrived at the springs, albeit with a rather apologetic look for hijacking her own questions.

Emmalia grinned wryly when they got to the hot springs, and to answer the questions, said, "I'm from the West. I'm a LaFaren, as much as I hate to admit it. I used to be part of an acting troupe. I got bit in a kind of mutual destruction with an insane vampire. And here I am." If she wanted to know more, Camilla would have to ask. Emmalia walked to the due of one of the springs, then said, "Do we get in fully clothed...?"

"Of course not." Camilla let out a giggle as she got out of her dress, and set it neatly folded on a nearby rock. She slipped into the springs and let out a sigh. "I can already feel the stress going away." Camilla exclaimed.

Emmalia hesitated, then went to the carriage and got some loose clothing from her bag, which she changed into, then joined Camilla. Immediately, she sighed and relaxed back against the rock wall.

Camilla smiled and rested back against the rocks along the rim of the sauna. "Way better than any bath ever could be..." She said, her words drawn out. "If you want to get anything off your chest that you can't tell Callum, you can always tell me. Now is the best time for it."

Emmalia shook her head. "No, I tell Cal everything. No secrets between us." Well, for a little there had been the secret of where he had gotten the potion from, but she couldn't hold that against him - it made sense.

Camilla nodded her head as she rested her head back. "That's wonderful to hear. Callum seems to have picked well with you. Part of me is wondering what he's doing right now, the first time he's ever had a castle completely to himself. Probably boring politics. Bored out of his mind I'd guess."

"This is the best time of my life!" Callum exclaimed, leaning back in his chair at the head of an empty table. Callum had been rather controlled with Emmalia around, even when he decided to let loose a little. Now, he was spending every second doing what he could only dream as a child - his first governing order was to bake all the pastries in the castle, and have each and every maid and chef serve them to him one by one on silver plates. He never realized just how much of his impulse control was from Emmalia helping to keep him from mischief.

"Yeah, he's probably telling advisers to back off," Emmalia chuckled quietly. "I traveled alone for six years, give or take, and yet travelling without Cal... I don't know how I'll manage a whole month."

"It'll be fine, you've got me instead. And I promise you, I'm ten times as fun as Callum could ever be." Camilla spoke with a smile. "You'll find that out yourself. I've got the whole month planned out."

"Well, if I'm kept busy, I guess I can't ponder missing him too much," she said with a wry grin. "What about you, though? Don't you have any young sirs after you?"

"Of course, but I don't pursue them any longer than a night." She gave back the same smile. "I'm not lucky, I don't find men who live as long as vampires. I'm not one for heartbreak - so I simply don't have a heart to break."

That thought saddened Emmalia. At least Cal would live as long as her, if not longer. At one point she had followed the same ideas as Camilla, so she couldn't really blame her. Then again, Camilla didn't know that Callum was undead, so she probably assumed that Emmalia was just okay with knowing that Callum would eventually grow old and die. "Yeah... I can understand that."

Camilla nodded. "I once met this wonderful man, handsome, smart, cunning... The most brilliant man I've ever seen. I was obsessed with him for my younger years - but he was constantly after another woman. Eventually I lost contact with him, and I use that as the painful reminder that even if I fall in love, I'll simply tumble into a deeper pit sooner or later."

Emmalia couldn't help but look on Camilla with pity. "That doesn't mean it's not a nice feeling, even if it's temporary. I mean, I understand. My first love was murdered, and I didn't feel like I could of would ever love again. Then, well, I kinda unwillingly fell for Cal. Before you made it sound like you knew other vampires - surely a few handsome men in there?"

"But most are too obsessed with human blood. I'm not spending my eternity with a savage beast." She spoke. "Plus, two vampires hunting together would surely attract attention from human deaths and lack of wildlife animals."

Emmalia had to admit that she was right. "Well, I hope you eventually find someone and it works out." There was nothing else Emmalia felt she could say.

"I hope not. It's too much fun not being in love." She chuckled. "But as you said, love happens on accident most of the time. I just hope I get a few hundred more years on my own."

"Yeah, that'd be nice," Emmalia chuckled. "My technique for on-my-own wasn't the best, though. It was basically be a bitch so people would stay away."

"Mine was the opposite." Camilla chuckled. "Lure men in, stay a night, then leave them to dry. It sounds evil almost, but... I suppose I felt like a god for a while and did what I pleased. Now though, I've settled down a bit and tend to dresses.'
