Emmalia nodded, even though she wished she could still go days without sleep. It would be useful just then.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum climbed into bed with Emmalia and kept his arms right around her, hoping to comfort Em as best as he could until she fell asleep. "I love you."

 

[Dragongal]

Em cuddled up to Callum and relaxed as best as she could. "I love you too."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum smiled softly and kissed the top of her head. "Rest now love. We'll have a busy day tomorrow."

 

[Dragongal]

Emmalia mumbled a response and rested her head under his chin before falling asleep.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum didn't fall asleep that night, and a fear was brought over him that his insomnia might come back. Throughout the night he valiantly held onto Emmalia and kept her close, hoping her warmth would let him sleep. Soon, the sun rose though, and Callum found himself tiredly dressing for the day.

 

[Dragongal]

Emmalia woke up when Callum moved away from her. She could tell something was wrong, so she sat up and said, "Love? Is everything okay?"

 

[Solar Daddy]

"Yes, everything's fine love." Callum said, kissing the top of her head. "Get dressed quickly, I want to go back to the village and make sure nothing else happened during the night."

 

[Dragongal]

"Oh? Not send a messenger?" Emmalia asked curiously.

 

[Solar Daddy]

"It would be faster to go ourselves." Callum said. "Not to mention if we get there and something is happening, we can help out right away."

 

[Dragongal]

Emmalia nodded. "Alright... we must be careful in our travels."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum nodded in agreement. "Agreed. Oh, and Emmalia," He turned suddenly and gave her a deep kiss. "Good morning."

 

[Dragongal]

Em raised her eyebrows in surprise, then returned the kiss. She pulled away and grinned. "Good morning."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum smiled softly at Emmalia. "If you're hungry I suggest eating something before we leave."

 

[Dragongal]

"I'm fine, I fed yesterday morning. Youre the one who needs solid food daily," Em said as she oulled on her armor.

 

[Solar Daddy]

"Just making sure." Callum said, getting his gear together. "I might find something to eat when we get to the town. Assuming nothing went wrong."

 

[Dragongal]

"Okay, as long as you eat at some point," she said.

 

[Solar Daddy]

"I will love." He promised and kissed her head gently. "Let's get going, then."

 

[Dragongal]

The journey was boring, with nothing worth note happening.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum, when they arrived, checked Emmalia and himself into an inn, and prepared to stay there for at least the day as he set up his things in their room.

 

[Dragongal]

Em got settled in and said, "The bar keep said those who lost people to the vampires recently found large sums of gold on their door steps in the morning. So they kept their promise."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum nodded. "That's good, although I can't shake the feeling that they're going to still try something. Do you know at all why they want you?"

 

[Dragongal]

Emmalia shook her head. "No clue. Might be because I'm animal blood only for the most part. I don't think it's revenge for the other many vampires I have killed."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum sighed softly. "I don't not like knowing their reasoning. Especially when it involves vampires that can move faster than I can."

 

[Dragongal]

"Thankfully, from what we've seen, I'm faster. But they're utterly unpredictable," he said.
