Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

At this point, Emmalia's concussion was mostly healed. She was sitting on a chair and listening to Magdalene explain the culture of the "dark family" which had other names too. They were all loyal to their leader, and Lanthaire, whom Callum and Emmalia had had a hearing with, was the courier, messenger, and all around their Lord's right-hand man. Emmalia thought it funny how he seemed more like a King than a Lord. Finally, she asked, "So what do you think of the other humans, then? Those who don't serve the dark family?"

"They are unenlightened. They will learn in time, though, I am sure of it! My Lord wants then to learn soon." She beamed and continued tidying Emmalia's already immaculate room.

Callum spent the etire day searching through the forest, and eventually figured that the vampires had left various dead end trails to trick him. He hoped he was following the right one though, since he had already went through various dead ends. He got more anxious as time passed, feeling himself tire as he searched.

After a while, Callum would come across a platter if fresh, still-warm bread, a glass of wine, and some apples. The note next to the platter read "In honor of your futile efforts."

Emmalia looked around the room for anything she could potentially use as a weapon. And shard of wood could be carved into a blessed stake, and any bit if silver could be forced into someone's neck in theory.

Callum saw the note, and with a chuckle, stuffed it into his pouch. He didn't drink the wine, but he happily took the food for himself. he went off on his journey again, a bit more in edge since he knew someone must be watching him.

A guard entered the room Emmalia was in respectively, and spoke, "Excuse me Magdalene, but our Lord wants to speak with Lady Cross."

As Callum continued, he would come across a river that would be difficult to cross. A boat sat against the shore, with a note that said, "For the husband of the Lady."

Emmalia stood and nodded to Magdalene, then followed the guard without a word. She would have attacked him and tried to escape, but she had no clue where she was, and needed to figure out the layout of this place first.

Callum took the note and stuffed it into his pouch again, and took the boat. "Thank you very much for this, now could you drop me off some directions? Maybe a map?" He called out, sailing across the river.

The guard transported them to a small side room where the Lord was waiting patiently. A spread of food was set out, and when Emmalia entered, he stood and bowed respectfully. "Ah, there she is. Hello Lady Emmalia, it's nice to finally meet you."

On the other side of the river, nothing was to be found.

Emmalia nodded her head, which was as close as she had to get to bowing or curtsying. "Yes, it is nice to finally make your acquaintance. If I may be so forward, why am I here?"

Halciet seemed surprised slightly, but gave a chuckle. "They told me you were a bit brusque. Please, have a seat and enjoy some food. We know you can eat human food, so we prepared this special." Halciet spoke, deflecting her question.

Emmalia looked at the food, then back up to Halciet. "I thank you for the offer, but would rather not. As I don't know where I am, and was honestly kidnapped, I would rather not eat anything offered. However, I would like to know why I am here."

"I promise nothing here is poisoned or intended to harm you. We wouldn't bring you here just to kill you." Halciet spoke with a chuckle, before calming a bit and sighing. "You should reconsider joining our family, Lady Emmalia. We can bring your husband too... I promise it won't be anything terrible or torturous."

Em watched Halciet carefully, and spoke slowly. "My decision stands. As for my husband, he could not join if he wanted to." She still didn't touch the food.

Halciet didn't flinch in his emotions, but asked, "Why couldn't he? He seems adept at learning. He could make a great healer."

Emmalia smiled and said, "If you truly must know, my Callum is a reaper for the God of Death. He could not have a very stationary lifestyle." It wasn't like they had to keep it a secret, and who would believe Halciet anyway?

Of all things Halciet expected, what Emmalia said wasn't it. He looked at Emmalia for a moment, trying to see if she was lying or not. "He's a... what?"

Emmalia calmly explained, "He gathers souls that have lost their way and sends them to Death. It sounds ridiculous, but you can call a mage in for a truth spell. I am not lying."

"Not necessary." Halciet said, chuckling. "Amazing. And all this time I thought I was the only one." He said, motioning in a guard. "I want Lord Cross to visit us, now. We have matters to discuss."

Emmalia frowned. "Pardon?" They knew of Daniel, but she had thought there wasn't another reaper. Unless Halciet took souls for more... nefarious purposes. "Wait. Why did you kidnap me? You never answered."

Halciet leaned back a bit in his chair, fumbling with the tablecloth, debating giving her an honest answer. "I wanted you to join our family Emmalia. Having a powerful family join ours would only help our loving clan. Now, though... Lord Cross makes for an important investment."

"We'll just have to ask him when he arrives." Halciet said, standing. "You can return to your quarters miss Emmalia. Callum will be with you shortly."

Eventually, with help from Halciet and his vampires, Callum found their castle and was brought inside. He was led to Emmalia's room, and once he saw her, quickly pulled her into an embrace. "Oh god, I thought they'd have harmed you."

"No, they brought me in without a problem. I almost took on the entire castle to get to you though, but they offered to bring me to you." Callum said, kissing her head. "Are you alright? They didn't burr you did they?"

"No, they've treated me very well. But I still dont know why I'm here. Their Lord said he wanted me to join them, but I think there's something more. They wanted you to join too, as a healer or something, so I would be more willing," Em said.
