"When have I ever been good at stealth?" Callum grinned. "If they spot us leaving, let me stay behind and try and stop them. Run back to the castle and get our soldiers to help. Okay?"

Emmalia shook her head. "Callum, no. I think that is one of the worst ideas you've ever had. Maybe... If you talk with the Lord, it'll be okay."

"What would that do? You know I don't play nice when people put you in danger, or take you away from me. I should level this place and salt the ground that it rests on."

Callum grinned and kissed her deeply. When he pulled away, he said, "Lead the way. You're the stealthier of us, and you're probably less likely to get caught anyway."

Emmalia quietly slipped put of the room, and followed the path the guards had taken her to Halciet. Oddly enough, she didn't see any guards. She took a turn down a corridor she hadn't lat time, to avoid Halciet, and hoped she made the right choice.

Two guards, with their backs facing Cal and Em sat stationed at either side of the hallway, still and sentinel-like. Callum drew his silver dagger and whispered, "Got the other?"

Emmalia nodded, though she had no weapons. She gave Cal a signal, then jumped. One hand covered the guard's mouth, and the other grabbed his silver sword and used it to slit his throat.

Callum jabbed his dagger into the guards neck, the guard choking on his own blood as Callum slowly brought him to the floor. He slowly stood back up and asked, "Are we getting your gear or going home first?"

Em shook her head. "No point in me trying to get my gear and risking this. Did you see the way you were brought in? I have no clue where the doors are."

Callum nodded and motioned for her to follow, hoping he wouldn't stumble upon a patrol. They made their way through the winding halls of the castle, narrowly avoiding guards and others alike. Soon, Callum got them to the front gate, where plenty of guards resided. He peeked behind a statue to count them, and then motioned to Emmalia with his fingers that there were nine of them in total, that he could see.

Stealth was not an option, then. They would have to rush out, the only problem being that Emmalia had only a sword and shield, and Callum only had his blade. He may have been the best swordsman in the land, but 9 vampires that were faster than him could easily be far too much

Callum tried to use his strategist background to help them somehow. He wasn't sure if he could find an opening for them to follow, and using one of them as a distraction would end poorly. Eventually though, his eyes pointed up, and grinned. "Do you think you can find a way to drop the chandelier?" He pointed up to the large set above at least half of them.

Emmalia thought for a few moments, then nodded. The chandelier was held up by a rope attached to the wall. When Callum gave ther the signal, she rushed in and sliced the rope, dropping the chandelier on half of their enemies.

Callum charged in and took out one of them with his dagger as the chandelier crashed down, stunning four of them. He began fighting furiously with two of the others, mostly in the defensive against them.

Emmalia faced off against the rest that weren't stuck under the chandelier, doing her best to keep up with fighting multiple vampires at once.

Callum tried his best to keep up with pace of the vampires, better than most humans could, but eventually a clean cut along his calf and he was out of the fight, he'd have no way to keep up with them any longer. They quickly seized him, carting him away from Emmalia's view as a swarm of them gathered around Emmalia.

"Cal!" Smelling his blood, she started feeling her vampiric side coming out. She needed any extra bit she could for the fight, so she just let it happen, but with her concussion, she still didn't last long before she was captured, and the episode quickly faded into her just feeling weak and battered.

The vampires had made quick work of taking Emmalia to a dreary place deep in the castle, taking so many turns that it'd be impossible to find the way back. They went deep into the ground, where the dungeon was, and brought her to a torture room with many tools and devices set up around the shop that she'd easily be able to tell what was to happen next.

When Em looked around, she slowly grinned, then laughed outright. "You bastards! Third time's the charm you know." She looked at one of the guards and hissed, "There is nothing you can do to me that hasn't already been done." She didnt know why she was there, but she wanted to act strong while she could.

The room was empty, with two guards standing on the other side of the door facing away, not responding. Eventually, a man entered, looking over the array of tools set out on the table. "How are we doing today Mrs. Cross?"
