Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

"We'd simply like you to join our family is all. You'll be better off in our clan than any of the other lords combined." Halciet offered. "I'm glad you made the right choice."

"That vampire, he said I can't see Callum unless he joined - why? I want to see my husband," she said quietly. Things still werent adding up.

"If Callum doesn't join, then he's not a member of our family. If he's not in our family, then there's no use for him." Halciet said simply.

"He can join us as a healer, as I've said before." Halciet said. "Get him to join us and we'll be an even stronger family."

Em looked up at Halciet and glared. "He'd rather end your family than join it, I'm sure." But what would he be willing to do for her? Not that she was going to join anyway.

"What a shame. I'm afraid we can't let your past family weight you down. You must be with us entirely, Emmalia. You can't think on your last life."

Emmalia shook her head. "He's my husband. I can't just give him up, I love him. Hell, I don't even know why you want me in your family so bad! Or what it quite is that you do!"

Emmalia pleaded, "I need to know things before I can make such a decision. Nobody will explain anything to me, I don't understand what is happening." The pleading was a bit of extra acting she hoped would help, but it looked convincing.

"Everything will be explained when you accept. It's not an option Emmalia - it's whenever you decide you've had enough pain." He said, making his way towards the exit. "I'll send Callum your regards."

"No! Stay away from him!" Emmalia yelled. She decided to use her time as an actor to her advantage. "Fine! I'll join you! Just let Callum go!"

"Unconditionally?" Halciet asked. "You will ask no further questions about why we want you in our clan. We wish to have you, but you must leave Callum behind, if we let him live for you."

Emmalia hesitated, then nodded. If Callum escaped, then at least one if them was on the outside. He could probably come back for her.

Halciet paused momentarily and sent word to release Callum. "I expect full devotion from you Emmalia. We don't normally let previous families live." He said. "Get her cleaned up, we'll indoctrinate her soon."

Emmalia hesitated, then said, "I can't even stand.... Healer's magic barely works on me since I'm not exactly the usual vampire." She was relieved that Callum was being released.

"Once in a while." He responded, taking good care of her wounds and treating them expertly. He soon finished, with a few attempts at healing her, before lifting her up and carrying her out of the room. "What makes you different from the rest of us, might I ask?"

"I drank a potion. It helped with a lot of things, but had some disadvantages," she said. Internally, she was very worried for Callum. But she knew better than to tell too much about her abilities and weaknesses.

"You'll have to show me this potion some time. Wed be very interested to see it." He said. "My name is Almerith, by the way. Welcome to the family."

"Thank you," Emmalia said. She couldn't guess what was to come next, but hoped Almerith could be an ally. He seemed to have retained some humanity, which was a good sign.

Eventually, Almerith took Emmalia to a large hall with plenty of other vampires lining the walls, watching her. He set her down in a chair as they began to chant quietly in another language. Soon, Halciet revealed a brand from in front of her, red hot, and said, "Are you ready to join us, Emmalia?"
