Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

"I still thank you both," Cameron said in his raspy voice. "Callum tells me you motivated him through it all." He laid back against the bed as he felt his strength fail. "I'll have to get caught up on events once I've healed enough."

Em smiled slightly. "Callum wanted to find you so badly, I didn't have to do much. We will surely catch you up on everything when you are ready, I swear."

Cameron chuckled lightly and wheezed. "I'll show my gratitude soon enough." He responded.

Callum understood his cue. "We'll see about that. For now, just rest and we can talk more later." Callum waved as Cameron gave a thumbs up, while he lead Emmalia out of the room.

"No, I haven't let Camilla know yet." Callum said, giving her hand a squeeze. "I wasn't sure if Cameron would start acting insane or not, and I didn't want Camilla to see him with a lost mind."

"That is understandable," Em said with a nod. "But he seems sane, so she should be allowed to see him soon." She didn't want Camilla getting mad when she found out they didnt tell her.

"Good. And she has been getting fed well, yes?" Em asked, careful with her wording in case a nosy servant was around.

"Of course, I try my best to keep her as well-nourished as I can." Callum told her. "I don't want her going on a hunger attack like she did last time."

Em smirked. "Yeah, let's not do that when I'm not around, okay?" As they walked, she held his arm like she did when she was nervous, but instead of it being because she was nervous, it was just because she was feeling cuddly.

Callum smiled softly, walking close by Emmalia. Things were looking up - his brother was found, and was getting better; he didn't need to worry about the Order anymore; and best of all, he had free time to spend with his wife.

It wasn't long before Em and Cal were called to battle some monster. As per usual, Camilla took control of the castle while they were gone. The monster was causing trouble in a village near the border of their lands, and turned out to be a rogue, insane vampire. One of the beasts that Emmalia and Cammila loathed. Em and Cal very easily killed it, and returned home to their castle in a week's time. The entire ride back to the castle, though, Emmalia seemed concerned about something....

Callum usually asked Emmalia what was wrong the second he noticed anything, but not this time. After what Em had told him, he had tried his best to let her handle things until his help was needed. He wouldn't try to constantly take care of her as much like she had requested - but this time, Callum assumed a few hours was enough time. "Love, are you alright? You seem distressed."

Em looked up at him and smiled, then said, "I didn't think it was visible. I just keep thinking.... A vampire comes from another vampire. We defeated that one with relatice ease, but... Who created it? Truely inhuman vampires rarely get very far from where they were created. And so you see my concern. Not that it is much to worry about, I've taken out a number of vampire covens in my time, but the concern remains."

"You're afraid that there's a higher vampire around?" Callum asked. If so, that would certainly complicate things for them.

"Not afraid. I can deal with higher vampires. And it doesn't have to be a higher vampire at all, it could be as rabid as the one we just killed. The concern is that people could be getting killed, and we don't know," Em said softly. She didn't want people being murdered, and others burning their family and friend's corpses.., if it was at all preventable.

Em shook her head. "No, no. For all we know, the one we killed traveled hundreds of miles. Maybe just increase the guard in this area, so we'll know if something happens."

"We don't do it enough," Em said. "Ah well. We have a good life, if a busy one. And we have people to return to at our castle, which is nice. Cameron and Camilla are wonderful company."

Callum nodded with a small smile. "I agree. Our family is growing little by little, it's a shame none if your family could come to stay with us."
