Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Em woke only a moment after Callum left her side. She opened her eyes and looked around in confusion, then panicked, fearing he had been taken again and that this was a trick like the Order man getting into the carriage with her. "Callum? CAL?!" She was on her feet in an instant, already starting to pull on her armor.

Callum hadn't gone far, and could hear Emmalia calling for him. He quickly reentered the room, saying, "It's fine, everything's okay!" He slowly limped over to her side and rested back on the bed with a grunt. "I just thought I'd get a healer for you."

Em stared at him for a few moments, then took off what armor she had pulled on, and looked him over, then sat next to him, still looking to see if he was injured. Finally she very carefully hugged him, avoiding any of his injuries. "I thought they took you again...."

Callum held her gently, trying not to use any of his sore muscles. He would've if he could, but the pain was too much. It didn't take long for the healer to arrive, coming in to tend to Emmalia's wounds.

Em looked up at the healer, and before Callum could say anything, Emmalia said, "Can you heal any of Callum's wounds? They're hurting him constantly."

The healer paused for a moment to look over at Callum, who glared at Emmalia and said, "Don't mind her. Just tend to my wife, she needs it more than I do." The healer nodded, and began to work with Emmalia.

Em glared at Callum, then said, "But I wasn't poisoned, be it mild or not." She gasped loudly as the healer started healing the wound in her back and Em went rigid, then took a deep breath and shivered. The healer said, "M'Lady, you tore some muscles here, it seems like acter it was first healed. It's going to hurt." The healer hadnt even needed to take off her shirt to sense that wound. She paused, then said, "The one on your chest hasnt been treated at all." Em seemed confused, then remembered that that final man she had killed had managed to cut lightly into the center of her chest.

Callum looked over Emmalia, worried out of his kind for his wife. He wanted to take the pain away from her, but he knew he'd probably end up passing out if he took any of it. He offered his hand to Emmalia in case she needed something to help with the pain at all, saying, "Will she be alright?" Sure, Emmalia was a vampire, but they used silver on her.

Em stared ahead and squeezed Callum's hand lightly, her back still rigid. "Well, she will need rest, no heavy lifting for a little. I can heal the wound, but its up to her to restrengthn the muscles." The healer finished and took Em's chin in her hand so she could see the burn better. Em flinched initially, then held still. The healer said, "I can only do my best on this."

"Please, do whatever you can." Callum told the healer, desperate to see Emmalia in better condition than she was then. "Anything and everything." He gave her hand a gentle squeeze, hoping for the best.

Em turned her head slightly to look over at Callum and gave him a small smile. She oculd appreciate what he was trying to do, but she wanted to see him healed first. The healer examined the burn, then said, "I can at least lessen the sensitivity and jump start the healing. Maybe heal your eye a bit." Once she started working, Em squeezed Callum's hand more, because the process was honestly painful. The edges of the burn healed, and slowly the healing progressed further into the large area that had been scalded by silver. When the healer pulled away, Em blinked a few times, then said, "My eye is noticeably better. Thank you."

The healer nodded and then turned her attention to Callum. She made further progress on his finger, and examined a few of the other scars as well on his back and chest. Once finished, Callum had the healer check over Emmalia again before she left just to be sure.

Em turned to look fully at Callum and reached out to trace with a feather light touch the new scar that ran from his face to his chest. She smiled just slightly. "Y'know, you're lucky. I find your scars rather attractive, you know. Not that you weren't attractive, but it adds a little bit of... intrigue."

Callum chuckled. "Intrigue, huh? I suppose yours do too - there's no way I'd be able to mistake anyone else for you now." He smiled softly.

Em blushed a bit. "If it had just been that one burn on my cheek from the mage it would look better, I think. You can still tell where that is under the other burns, where it's deepest. I'm going to look so out of place at Lord's galas and parties."

Callum kissed her cheek gently. "All the ladies will be jealous of the woman who can keep her husband entertained even when he's away from his castle." He joked, smiling over at her. "Plus, what man doesn't want a girl who can survive such a thing?"

Em chuckled and said, "A vain man. A man who wants to look like his wife is on a pedestal, not an equal. Thankfully, not you." She looked over at the bed, then quietly said, "Cal...? I didn't sleep long, can I rest more? You can sleep too, I'm just tired."

"Of course Emmalia." Callum told her, resting back on the bed. He wasn't going to try and sleep at all, but he wasn't going to tell Emmalia that. He didn't need her worrying about his own sleep habits, she needed to be focused on her own.

The next day was spent with both of them taking turns napping and eating minimally, as neither of them could stomach much. In the late evening, Em laid awake while Callum dozed lightly beside her.

When Callum eventually woke up, he looked around, skeptically, before seeing Emmalia and jumping back as much as he could. "Vampire!" He cried out, falling off the side of the bed.

Em looked at Cal in shock and confusion. She stood and mobed to his side of the bed to make sure he gadnt hurt himself. "Cal, are you okay?"

Callum began crawling away from Emmalia, grabbing a glass from the bedside table and breaking it to hold out the sharp edge towards her. "Stay back!" He said, waving it around. "Guards! Guards, vampire!"

Emmalia stared at her husband in confusion and concern.

The guards ran in and looked around, focusing on Callum. "M'Lord, do you need the healer for your vision? Its just your wife."

Em said, "Thank you for your vigilance and swift response, but I believe Callum has fever. I will handle it from here, thank you boys."

The guards nodded and left, and Em said softly, "Cal, its me...."
