Fantasy Generic Fantasy RP (CLOSED)

Callum looked over the arrow carefully, bringing a hand up to gently glide his hands over her lower back. "Are you going to be okay? You're not bleeding internally are you? They made sure to fix that?"

Emmalia nodded. "Yeah, the healer girl was very careful about everything. It still hurts, but its healed." She had planned on dropping her shirt right away, but his gentle touch was too nice. She closed her eyes and savored the sensation.

Callum could tell she was enjoying it, and it didn't hurt him too much to perform the action, so he continued to gently run his hand along her back. "We promised to tell each other these things. No matter what." Callum told her quietly.

"As long as you're willing to tell. I just don't want you to hide things from me, Emmalia. You didn't tell me about Daniel. You didn't tell me about the arrow, and you tried hiding your face behind that mask."

Em nodded slowly. "I know. I was so scared you would push yourswkf to make sure I was okay. But it isn't an excuse." She leaned back to lay beside him and actually met his eyes. "After you were taken, a man got in the carriahe with me under a spell - he smelled and sounded just like you. Then a bunch of men swarmed in and tied my arms. Next I was in a cell with the interrogator. He burned and broke my finger and took my ring." She showed Callum the burn on her ring finger, as well as how crooked it was from not getting a chance to heal. "Then they asked what you were and I told them and they said you said otherwose and put me in this tiny box made of silver. I managed to use my clothes to protect most of my skin, but when they let me out, the interrogator grabbed my neck and pressed me face into the wall of the box. I screamed for the first time and almost passed out. Then I heard you scream and I offered the interrogator Ander's books in exchange for you being left alone while I got them. That would have been a week that they wouldnt have tortured you. Of course I didn't trust them, but at the very least they wouldnt kill you or me. Fast forward, I showed them Ander's lab, then escaped, got shot, and was found by Daniel's healer friend. I ran away, though... I dont think I was in the best of mental states then. Oh, and I carved a swath of blood through the ranks of the Order to get back here to you." She looked at him with a crooked smile and brought a hand to the burned side of her face. "It's pretty bad, isn't it?"

Callum put a hand to her cheek, looking her in the eyes. "It'll heal hopefully in time. It won't be long before we can finally get our revenge." Callum pulled her into a gentle kiss before adding, "And I still think you're the most beautiful woman in Trulane."

Em smiled softly and quietly said, "Thank you love." Em kissed him again and very carefully pulled him close, kissing his cheek a few times. "You need rest, dearest."

Callum smiled softly at the kisses Emmalia was giving him. "I'm not tired. I'll just have nightmares anyway if I try." Callum told her, holding her as tight as he could.

"We had this conversation a week ago but reversed, remember?" She kissed is cheek again, then said, "I'll stay up and wake you if the nightmares get bad."

"Well..." He tried to find a way around it, but ultimately sighed heavily. "Fine, fine. But make sure you go to sleep at some point okay? You've been through just as much as I have."

"Love, you've been through worse, and I want to hear about it tomorrow. But for now, sleep." She pulled the blankets up again and cuddled close to him, trying to make him as comfortable as possible.

Callum tried to stay up, not wanting to leave Emmalia to herself. But, eventually he ended up dosing off, his arm around Emmalia and his head in the crook of her neck.

Em held Cal close and slowly ran her fingers along his shoulder, the only place she could be sure he wasn't injured. It was kind of adorable, having their places switched like this, with his head in the crook of her neck instead of vice versa. But really, there was a lot wrong with this image - what they had been through, their injuries, the fact that they both still needed a healer.

Eventually Callum had been shifting in Emmalia's arms, although it wasn't anything more. Soon dawn came and Callum woke up. With a yawn, he asked, "Are you awake Emmalia?"

"Yes love," Em said quietly. She kissed his forehead and hugged him a bit tighter. The whole night she had thought about what had happened and what they could do.

Callum smiled softly and kissed her gently. "You went to sleep at some point, right? You didn't stay up just for me?" He kissed her wrapped his arm tight around her.

"I didn't sleep, but I'm okay. I was just thinking about things and watching you to make sure everything was okay." What she was thinking about wasn't the best topic, but she had also been unable to sleep because her eye and face had been hurting, though mostly she just wanted to be sure Callum slept.

Callum sighed softly. "Emmalia, I told you to get some sleep. I can't have you dying of exhaustion or something because you want to make sure I'm not having nightmares.'

"We can take turns sleeping, then," she said, not relenting on the point of staying up when he slept. She cuddled up against him, with the unburned side of her face on his chest, and said, "Is it okay if I sleep now?"

"Of course." Callum told her, and kissed the top of her head. "You should get as much rest as you can." He ran his hand along her back again, the way she seemed to like it.

Callum remained awake, repeating the motions on her back on and on throughout the time Emmalia was asleep. He made sure to keep a close eye on her, just to be sure she wouldn't have another nightmare. Of course, he was still in some pain, so it was a little difficult to focus entirely, but he tried his best for Emmalia's sake.

As she slept, Em stirred a bit, and moved closer to Callum. She mumbled quietly in her sleep, then settled down again once her head was properly nestled under his.

Callum remained by her side through most of her sleep, watching carefully. But, eventually he trusted she would be alright to be alone for a few moments. He got up from bed (slowly, as he was still recovering as well,) and got a maid to fetch a healer, who would hopefully arrive by the time Emmalia awoke.
