Fantasy Gehenna

Otoko gently set the blindfolded girl into the snow. She had one eye uncovered, but there was a more pressing matter to attend to. He turned and faced the yeti, grinning, hoping his enemies were not weak.

Otoko ran at one of the yeti, unconsciously forcing some of the burning energy within him into his palm. He skidded to a stop in front of the yeti dodging a flailing limb and stabbed upward, piercing his tough hide with the newly formed sword. The yeti burst into flames, and then ash, covring the ground around him in thoroughly burnt yeti.

Most of the yetis roared loudly at the death of the first three. They continued to swing and smash and kick at everyone. One of them grabbed Jazmyne and lifted her up.

Kane watched them all, impressed at Otoko's use of his weapon. "I wonder why the others aren't using their weapons..." He just shrugged. Kane stood and walked out of the throne room. "Two can play at this game Gideon." He growled, opening a door that led to the forbidden wing. Kane entered the hall, closing the door behind him.

Hachi sighed as she glimpsed the small child be snatched up by the yeti. It was always her, it seemed, that got into the most trouble. Growling softly Hachi glared at the beast, before a gurgles roar drew her attention back to the task at hand. She was perch with the claws of her feet in a yeti's chest, her fist half way down its throat. Her scarlet eyes danced as a sadistic smile crossed her lips.

"Die..."

The command was a soft rasp uttered from between sharp teeth. Crimson energy burst from her hand down the yetis throat. Hachi withdrew her fist kicking of the yeti and back flipping to land lightly in the snow. The yeti uttered on last strangled before exploding outwards in a spray of blood, fur, and inky crimson spikes.

Whistling she summoned Kairo, jumping on the wolf's back as he ran forward. A tilt of her head indicated that the wolf should head for the yeti holding the small girl. Kairo barked his understanding and darted forward nimbly dodging kicks and swipes from the remaining yeti as he focused on his target.

Otoko grinned while twirling his sword. He could get used to this power. He ran at another yeti, grazing it's arm, and watching as it fell to the ground shaking with electricity. Otoko looked it in it's eyes, pointed his hand at it's face, and forced more power out of his arm. It manifested itself as fire, burning the spot where its head used to be into dry ground.

Rhialla took a defensive stance as Otoko ran off and began to attack the yeti's, she focused her power into her hands, hoping to ignite another flame but was shocked to find a whip materialise instead. How was she supposed to defend herself, or anyone else, with this? Rhialla had no time to contemplate as a yeti charged for her and Kaname, it's heavy steps making the snow tremble. Rhialla pulled her arm back and lashed forwards, striking the yeti on the arm, it did nothing but enrage the yeti and leave a small cut due to the sharp end of the whip. It got even closer.

Rhialla began to panic, she could always set it alight but it wasn't close enough, on the other hand she couldn't let it get any closer to Kaname, she was already injured. She focused again and the whip and almost dropped it, it was on fire and yet it wasn't burning... She didn't even think twice, she whipped the yeti again, wrapping it around the humongous thing's forearm and watching as the fire caught on it's fur and skin. She yanked on the whip hard, pulling the yeti off balance as it began to panic due to the fire, the flames now increasing in heat and size until within moments it completely enveloped the yeti. It thrashed wildly, it's roars and screams echoing around the mountain and it attracted the attention of two more, they both charged Rhialla.

Rhialla was beginning to...remember how to use the whip and she began to move with grace, her twists and turns almost looked like an intricate dance with fire as she kept the two at bay, she used an opening to set a second yeti on fire but the other slammed into her, just missing Kaname. She was surprised to find that the yeti had barely harmed her, she might have a bruise or two but was otherwise unaffected, although she was stuck beneath and short of breath due to it's weight. It raised it's leg and slammed down on her and she heard a snap, her eyes went wide and she screamed. She dug her nails into it's fur and grimaced as it too caught on fire, the leg bursting into flame.

Some of her clothes too caught fire and she quickly put them out as best she could, whilst she was immune, her clothing was not. Her chest area was in agony and she breathed in as deeply as she could, one of her rubies shining brightly before turning into obsidian and the pain subsiding. She trudged over to Kaname and knelt into the snow, she was breathing heavily and clearly exhausted but she still checked the girl for any new wounds and tore part of her own clothes to rebind the old one. "We're okay now. You're okay." She reassured not only Kaname but herself, using a small part of her dwindling energy to send a wave of warmth through her hand and to the girl, it wouldn't do if she froze to death.

Rin had yet to react to the attack. She was entirely too occupied with the snow beneath her feet to even notice her surroundings. It was as if she had blocked the sound from entering her ears, but of course, it was simple her being a child. Slowly, whilst her gaze scanned the ground, Rin caught sight of numerous, small hooved footprints in the snow. It was odd, which of course caught her attention and brought her gaze leveled to that of one of the charging animals. Blinking ever so slightly, Rin took a moment to observe the creature. It took her a bit to analyze and understand her predicament, before she started running about and flailing her arms. "MUMMIES!!!"

Otoko watched Rhialla fight in amazement. Her movements were fluid and graceful like water, and she didn't let any of the larger yeti get close. Then she went for one of the yeti and the other got her, stepping on her like a ant. He heard the crack, and saw Rhialla grab it's leg. The yeti repelled back with a flaming leg, whilst Rhialla made her way to the blinded girl. He felt something snap within him, watching her get injured.

Otoko ran up behind the yeti with the flaming leg and sliced, cutting through the middle of it's body and spilling blood over the snow. He made his way to the females, cutting down yeti that were coming for them. As he neared them he spoke loudly "Are you okay?"

Kaname was scared, uncertain of what was going on. She heard a sound she was extremely familiar with; flames. Those flames that lit the torches where she was forced to partake in "holy" rituals. She was full of fear from those torches, because those torches always meant one thing to her; another ritual involving her was about to happen. The blindfold was still off of her left eye, and she hadn't had the time to really fix it. That golden left eye stared up at the sky, until something warm touched her; that's when she began panicking inside, her body shaking. The last time she was made to feel warmth, that warmth turned to pain.

Haruka managed to cut the yeti's leg clean off, causing it to fall. In one continuous motion, as the yeti was falling, she swung her ax back, releasing it and letting it spin, landing straight in the back of the yeti's skull, in a bit of a bloody mess. At the same time, she did a full spin, rolling throwing herself behind another yeti as it punched the ground where she stood moments before. "Heh... I think I should try a few things out." She said to herself, just naturally feeling and knowing about her abilities because of the way the powers were given with a part of Lily's soul. With a snap of her fingers, lightning surrounded her right hand.

Haruka aimed her electrified palm at the yeti that she just dodged, about to send lightning at it. Her lightning decided to just vanish though, making for the yeti to have time to kick her in the stomach, sending her flying. Yoru was luckily in the general direction she was sent flying in, managing to catch her before she could hit the ground. "You're too reckless, Haruka. I was worried there." Yoru said, not even sure himself where this worry about Haruka came from. She's basically my enemy back in our world, so why am I... Why am I feeling worried about her...? Yoru thought to himself, though decided to skip it for now.

He's worried about me...? He actually cares... He actually cares about me...! Haruka thought, celebrating on the inside, and with a slight smile on her face as she drifted off to the land of happiness within her mind. "I wonder if this'll work." Yoru said to himself with a smirk on his face. He spun his pistol back out, currently on one knee, holding Haruka with his right hand as she was sat on Yoru's left leg. "I'd cover your ears, Haruka. Might be a bit of a loud noise." Haruka did as told, just a few seconds before Yoru aimed the gun and pulled the trigger. Instead of your usual bullet though, a bullet made of pure ice was shot, hitting the yeti that kicked Haruka right in the center of the chest.

Yoru smirked, and just as it hit, the bullet exploded in giant spikes of ice, protruding out from various points of the yeti's body and virtually encasing the creature.
"Liking these powers already." Yoru said, enjoying this little fight. He watched everybody else taking up their targets, so he decided to just stay there with Haruka, surrounding them with a nice icy mist that extended a good ways out. Yoru sat down, with Haruka sitting on his lap and facing him, like the two were a couple. Given the circumstances of their relationship, not to mention the feelings of Sewell and Lily, the two of them were technically some sort of couple, and no matter how much Yoru wanted to, he couldn't stop himself from going with those feelings.

As Kairo approached the yeti holding Jazmyne captive Hachi stood her hand flashing through a unique and complex set of mudra. Kicking of of Kairo's back she placed her palm on the yeti's arm. Red energy flowed in inky patterns along the glowing brightly before the limb burst into a fine shower of blood.

The small child would drop only to be caught on Kairo's back. Growling softly she collected the blood mingling it with her magic. With a wave of her hand she cast a fine net of energy over the creature and crushed it.

Rhialla nodded numbly, using her self healing powers had taken way more out of her than they normally did considering she was surrounded by snow. "Th-Thanks." She nodded towards the yeti that had been sliced in half before turning back to Kaname. "She should be much warmer now but I think she's still scared. I'll look after her, don't worry about us." Rhialla grinned halfheartedly, the whip she had been using had vanished and she didn't have a lot of strength left but she could still fight, she wouldn't be as strong sure but she had enough energy to protect herself and Kaname if they stuck together. The little girl was still shivering despite Rhialla's best efforts and she wondered if it was just the yeti's she was afraid of, she seemed to be scared of pretty much anyone.

A dark figure erupted from the snow after all the yetis had been killed or scared off. Because of everyone's new souls, they were able to figure out who this man was. Nightmare. Or, at least what remains of him inside a new body. Nightmare stood nine feet tall, glaring at the group. He growled low, noticing how they all had found a way to tap into their powers. Nightmare stood there and waited, wanting to time it just right before attacking.

Kane was back in his seat, laughing evilly as he watched. He had created replicas of every member of The Family. He had sent Nightmare to test the newcomers' mettle. The members he had brought back to life in new bodies were undead but held ALL their powers, not just some like the people in the group with Gideon.

"Goddamn it...Nightmare"

The female snarled waves of energy washing along her frame as he glared at the creature before her. It was powerful, that much was certain. She didn't even know what it was capable of, much less it's possible weaknesses. They were at a huge disadvantage. Still she snarled shifting herself into a fighting stance.

Nightmare made a fist and swung it at the host of Ashuraka. He was a good distance away so he didn't make any physical contact, but a powerful wave of force flew at her. The snow and earth were being ripped and torn aside as it made its way towards her with immense power.

Otoko stared at the gigantic man that had just appeared from the snow.He suspected this "person" wouldn't go down as easily as the yeti before. He pushed more power through his sword, setting it aflame with electricity crackling around the pommel. Otoko smiled grimly, thinking about how he used to believe this walk would be peaceful. Then he ran at the "person", yelling at the top of his lungs.

The female growled her hands flashing through a variety of mudra as the wave of force rushed towards her. Taking a deep breath in she focused her energy. Waves of inky red curled and shifted around her body as she slid one leg back crouching slightly, gathering energy from the blood around her. Clenching her fist at her side she howled a grin curving her lips.

With one smooth move she released a powerful punch tossing a bolt of crimson energy directly at the center of the energy wave. The bolt was intended to break the wave of energy sending it around her.

Rin halted. She felt a sense of understanding whilst looking at the stranger. She could share his emotions, as well as his train of thought. This was only because she held half of this stranger in her body. Once again, Rin's irises shifted to a darkened crimson red, but this time, they didn't simply flicker, but remained that shade. Her head tilted slowly to the side, just as her face became emotionless, deeming with complete darkness. Suddenly, a sadistic smile spred and played at her lips, just as numerous shadows erupted from the ground around her feet. She said nothing, but simply walked forward towards the figure. She ignored all else around herself, the only thing on her, well on Nightmare's mind, was to figure out how he was looking at himself.

Successful role! (4 Dice)

The wave was hit by the bolt of crimson energy. It stopped in it's tracks, being negated completely.

Nightmare readied himself as Otoko charged at him. Nightmare swung at Otoko with his right fist, timing it to the best of his ability. He was putting quite an amount of force behind the punch.

Otoko raised his sword, putting the blade between himself and this "person's" fist. As he hit, Otoko felt shock-wave of force go throughout his body, and he was knocked back a few yards. Otoko charged at the "person" thrusting his sword at his face.

Rhialla saw the 'man' as he began to attack, she decided that it was probably best if she stayed back due to her depleted levels of energy which were slowly rising and although the yeti's had been defeated, Kaname still required attention. This way she could rest up if Nightmare were to set his sights on either of the girls and if she couldn't fight she would at least have enough energy to run or defend the two to some degree. Otoko and Hachi bravely faced off against Nightmare and Rhialla felt guilty, she should be fighting too but logic dictated that she remain. For now. "You okay sweetheart?" She asked Kaname softly, hopefully she could interpret an answer this time and maybe even stop the shivering that wracked the previously blind girl's body. Pain shot through Rhia seconds later, her neck throbbing with a stabbing sensation as one of the stones she'd used to heal herself was rejected, the skin beneath the stone had already begun to close and quickly she tore it out, seconds later not a mark remained. She cringed at the sharp black rock and pocketed it, if used correctly she could turn several stones into a sharp knife. The pain subsided and she turned back to Kaname's response, the whole ordeal took only a couple of seconds but the pain made it seem longer sometimes.

Kaname was still too scared to stop shaking, though it wasn't at all from the cold. The loud noises were the cause of her fear right now though, as it was pretty much the only thing she had to worry about at the very moment. Her left eye wandered around slowly, the weird things being enough to distract her from some other things, though kept the fear she felt around. When I close my eyes... everything goes away for a little... Is this... what it's like to see...? Kaname thought, slowly starting to realize what was going on with all this weird stuff. No, it can't be... I'm blind... this is all just weird things in my head... I... I don't know... what these things are...

She kept on thinking about it, unable to come to a clear decision on what all of this stuff was that apparently came from her eyes, but she thought she was still blind, so she couldn't realize it was her being able to see. Eventually, she stopped shaking because she was so deep in thought, she didn't realize what was going on around her. Breaking that line of thought by talking to her from close up, touching her, or some kind of loud noise like Nightmare coming near her, would definitely scare her and cause her to start shaking again.
