Fantasy Gehenna

Nightmare slammed his foot down, making snow burst around him. He had used his shadow travel power to return to Gehenna.

(STATS WILL BE PUT UP IN THE OVERVIEW FOR YOUR CHARS MOMENTARILY)

Run stared blankly at the spot where Nightmare once stood. The Nightmare inside her stirred viciously, having a strong taste for bloodshed, having watched events unfold. Tilting her head to the side, Run blinked her irises, her sadistic nature returning to its state if slumber, whilst her irises shifted to their crystal blue shade. She started to speak, only to release a slight cough from her parted lips. 'What was that?' She couldn't particularly give herself an explanation, and thus turned around to see all the adults taking care of one another, as well as Kaname. Run wanted to go home, and be under the warm embrace of her father again, rather than in a snowy nightmare where she faced the soul forced inside her. Blinking her irises, Run caused tears to began streaming down her face, just as she balled her small hands into fists.

Otoko blinked as the wave of snow, and the force behind it, knocked him to the ground. When he stood and cleared his eyes, the "person" was gone, leaving behind no trace other than a dent in the snow. Otoko sighed, knowing that he would probably be back. He dropped his sword to the ground, letting it dissipate. Rhialla was still bent over the blindfolded girl, and the wolf lady with the small child Gideon was holding earlier. He saw the other child, with tears running down her face. Otoko rolled his eyes thinking she was just frighten by the ongoing fighting, and walked up to her. He bent down and mussed up her hair. "Are you okay?"

Run slowly brought her gaze up, to a point where she could see the male before her. As her hair was messed with, Rin slowly caught her breath and blinked her eyelids. She hadnt been spoken to ever since she first woke up, besides being yelled at by Gideon. Her father had always told her never to speak to strangers, but somehow, she felt as though she already knew him. Slowly, Rin nodded her head and wiped her tear filled irises with the sleeve of her shirt. Although she wasn't absolutely sure, she simply knew she was alive, and wasn't the one who should be getting attentioj like Kaname.

Otoko smiled at the girl. He wondered which soul this girl got. She hadn't shown any powers, and neither had she shown any amounts of aggression. She felt familiar, but not as much as Rhialla. Then he got a slight blush, remembering why Rhialla felt familiar. Otoko just hoped it wasn't the same reason with this kid. He gently pushed his finger into her forehead, forcing her to look at him. "What's your name kid? Why are you crying?"

Rhia made sure that everyone looked vaguely okay before she spoke up. "We need to keep moving, we don't know when that thing will come back or what else is going to come after us." She was relieved to see that Kaname had stop her shivering finally, "Can you walk? If not I'll carry you." she asked, her hand outstretched and ready to help her up. Some of Rhialla's strength had returned and she knew that if it came to it she would be able to at least manifest more fire if not the whip she had previously used. Her rubies wouldn't be able to do a major heal like that for at least another day and she was lucky the yeti hadn't crushed her completely, she only had so many stones and with how dangerous Gideon kept saying this place was, she'd need every single one.

Rin gulped. She was shy and somewhat afraid to speak to him. Even so, she was bound to have to speak to him sooner or later. Taking a moment to catch her composure , Rin finally spoke in a soft whisper. Her voice came out childish, herself being a kid. "Rin...Tohsaka." Rin awaited his reply, until remembering the question he had asked her after pushing his finger into her small forehead. "Cause Nightmare was angry inside me."

Otoko frowned. With the convenient appearance of the "person" and her sudden problem, he guessed that was her soul. He absently rubbed the top of her head, thinking about what was coming. Otoko snapped out of it once Rhialla spoke up, and sheepishly grinned at Rin. He stood, saying "Heh. That's a pretty name! How about we go over to Rhialla before she gets angry, huh?" Otoko started walking over to Rhialla, hoping the small girl would follow.

Kaname was suddenly brought back to the regular world after being in the world of thought, giving her a bit of a scare and making her jump a little. Using her left arm, Kaname slowly stood up, but when she managed to get standing, she fell back and into the snow once more. Probably because she was weak from the amount of bleeding the wood piercing her arm had caused earlier, the fact that she was basically starving, and the fact she never really stood much in her life, just sat in the cell or laid on the ritual table.

Kaname tried sitting up, but having forgotten about her injured right arm, ended up hurting herself really bad when she pushed on the ground. Falling back and curling up, she held her right arm as she was in extreme pain. Either fortunately or unfortunately, Kaname still lacked the ability to even scream in pain, but she did look like she was about to. She really hated the pain, every second of it being an unwanted remembering of how it was just before she woke up in this horrid land.

Rin watched him for a few moments before scurrying off behind him. Slightly trilling over her feet, she clutched the back of his shirt into her now balled up small hand. She said nothing, but now thought of him to act as her protector. Quietly, she tagged along, holding into his shirt like her life depended on it, whilst all in the same peering around his enlarged form to glance about at the women he spoke up. She was incredibly older than both herself and the boy she was holding onto, which only made her think of her mother back at home.

Rhialla tried to catch the girl before she fell but was too late and flinched as Kaname strained her injured arm, silently in pain. She disregarded the girl's dislike towards being touched and cradled her to her chest before turning to meet Otoko, "You okay? If so then good, we need to gather the rest and keep moving with or without Gideon." her blue eyes landed on a smaller figure hiding behind the teenager and she smiled warmly at the little girl. "Who's this?" Rhialla felt something familiar about the kid just as she did with the others but it wasn't nearly as strong as it was with the twin psychos and nowhere near the familiarity she felt with Otoko, now that she knew the reason for the latter she almost refused to meet his eyes. It just felt wrong to her, that siblings would do that but nevertheless that didn't change much, they were different people, whilst they might have part of their souls that did not mean they were those people. But Rhialla shook herself from her thoughts and focused on Rin, she seemed to have taken a liking to Otoko and was gripping his shirt tightly.

Otoko smiled at the two. The blindfolded girl and Rhialla looked cute, like a mother and daughter picture. If you could ignore the various wounds they both had over their bodies that is. Otoko gently pushed Rin forward, so Rhialla could actually look at her. "This is Rin!" He grinned at Rin, and then frowned, thinking. "I guess we could keep going. We need to find somewhere to sleep before sunset anyway."

"This is only the beginning..."

The statement was softly uttered as Hachi stood a bit apart from the group. Folding her arms beneath her bust she let her form return to normal, silver fur melting away and scarlet hues returning to their normal blue. A soft sigh escaped her lips as Kairo trotted over, the small child still on his back. Hachi cast a glance at the child from the corner of her eye. She disliked children and another sense of disdain built in her as well, probably from the soul within her.

Scowling Hachi took the child in her arms, holding her with an unusual amount of gentleness. Kairo barked tail wagging as the magic and chi boost wore of and he returned to his normal form. Carrying Jazmyne in her arms she walked past the boy and girl pair that seemed to be playing parent to all the other "helpless" pups in the group.

"I doubt Gideon has gone to far from us... We stand as to great an asset...in theory... Still we need to get somewhere less open if you dream of stopping for the night and surviving..."

Rhialla stooped lower so she could see Rin eye to eye and she grinned at the little girl. "It's nice to meet you Rin, I'm Rhialla, Rhia's fine if that's easier though." the action proved slightly harder with Kaname still in her arms but she managed well enough. Soon after her introduction Hachi spoke and Rhialla stood up normally once again, she was right, they needed somewhere that could be at least defended temporarily or somewhere they could see if something was coming. Both would be even better. "Well we seemed to be heading towards the left side of the mountain so let's keep going that way and hope we run into Gideon." Rhialla wondered if anyone was growing cold due to the temperature of the mountain and she used a small amount of her energy to cast a blanket of warmth over the group, that way at least nobody was going to freeze to death. She probably should have preserved her energy but Rhia knew that as soon as they settled down for the night and started a fire she would recover the majority of it easily.

Rin, being shoved forward by Otoko, blinked, constantly shifting her gaze between the woman and Kaname. She could hear the adults talking of just how much things needed to be done, as well as discussing their next move. Uppn being spoken to by the woman, Rin nodded, slightly taking a step back. Inside, she felt anger, absolute anger, which truly brought her to a step of confusion. "Rhia." Rin listened to their conversation, before glancing about. Mister Gideon was gone, and she was surprised she didnt notice. Surely, he would come back for the toddler. Rin blew her breath in a pout, shifting her gaze towards the ground.

Otoko felt the warmth spread around the group, and sighed. Whoever did that, he thanked silently, because even with the energy within him he was getting cold. "I guess we should get going then, huh?" Otoko started off on the path, adjusting his pace so that Rin could keep up. He hoped Gideon was somewhere, he knew this mountain better than anyone else in this group.

Otoko released a puff of breath, wishing for the best.

"I know you can do better..." Gideon spoke with a smirk.

Kane panted, angry and tired. The cold from the mountain taking its toll on the king. He had intercepted Gideon and was fighting him now, a good ways ahead of the group. A whole day to be exact.

"You are using up too much energy to keep me in a physical form. Let me go so that I can return to the group." He demanded, pointing the legendary sword at Kane. "At least allow me to lead them to a check point of some kind."

"Go then, before I change my mind." Kane waved his hand, the curse on Gideon breaking. Kane watched Gideon vanish back into snow before returning to the castle.

Gideon would need some time before reforming, which made him uneasy. Hopefully the group would be able to handle themselves a bit longer without him.

"So your plan is to walk blindly forward on a mountain side while it's getting dark with no idea what's further ahead other than the certainty of the person trying to kill us... Brilliant..."

Hachi shook her head a bit as she walked past Otoko and stopped holding her free hand up to motion that everyone else should pause for a moment as well. Her eyes scanned the distance briefly, ears twitching and rotating, her head tilting back a bit as she scented the air. So far so good but she needed to be sure. Holding Jazmyne with one arm she used her free hand to preform a simple set of mudra. Taking a deep breath both Kairo's and her own eyes flashed a bright red. The pup scampered off up the trail, scouting ahead and sharing what he saw with Hachi.

Exhaling the woman blinked, her eyes returning to normal as Kairo ran back down to the others and hopped up onto Hachi's shoulder. The woman gently scratched begin the wolf pups ears as she glanced back at the others. There is a cave not to far up the path. We will have to climb a little to get there but it should be safe. Easy to get down from, protected at the back, and a view of the trail. We can camp there for the night.

Kaname just laid there in Rhialla's arms, unable to truly do anything on her own. She was still quite scared, but she found that whoever it were holding her right now to oddly feel... safe. She could feel a nice warmth that she'd never felt before coming from whoever it was. Her uninjured left arm tried reaching up to fix her blindfold, but she accidentally knocked it off and into the snow. She began reaching around for the blindfold, clearly panicking about it. Her right eye was still covered by bandaging, left still closed.

Yoru and Haruka finally stood up, the mist Yoru had created disappearing. Together, they walked over to the yetis, Haruka taking her ax out of the head of one and then the two of them reluctantly joining the group. Haruka was disappointed in herself for failing with magic, though being so close to Yoru made her feel a little better. "So, where'll we be goin'?" Yoru said in a slightly pissed tone, like he was getting impatient or something. In truth, it was just a matter of not wanting to be around the group. Haru kept silent, still hugging Yoru's arm like she was his girlfriend.

Rhialla felt Kaname scramble a little for her fallen blindfold and looked down as it fell into the snow, she bent down slowly so the girl could reach it herself and tried placing Kaname's hand on top of it. "Your blindfold's there sweetie." She murmured softly, making sure Kaname held it before standing up straight again. She began to head toward where the pup had scouted, assuming that everyone else would do the same.

Kaname silently picked up the blindfold, using her hand to feel over the material so she knew which side was the front, putting it flat over her eyes then trying to tie it, though with only one hand to do so with, she couldn't really succeed in doing so. She at least kept it held on her head though, and with Rhialla having been so kind to help her pick it up, she just couldn't help but hope that Rhialla would help her put it back on as well, though she felt it would be asking to much for a lowly ritual material such as herself to hope for that to happen, deciding to push the thought aside and keep trying on her own.

Rin quietly followed behind Otoko, scurrying to catch up. Moments later, she clutched the back of his shirt and slowed her pace, resting her head against his back as they walked. Of course she was sleepy, which is why she held into a piece of his clothing so she could be sure to keep up with the only one she was comfortable with.

Otoko smiled at the wolf lady, though he felt some anger towards her for some reason. Perhaps he was jealous of her greater skills, but it was most likely a effect of the souls they had within them. Otoko was starting to get annoyed by the emotions he wasn't feeling himself. At-least most of them were nice emotions. Otoko started back down the path keeping his eye out for the cave, feeling Rin's small hands clutch on to the back of his shirt.

As she walked Rhialla noticed that Kaname was struggling with tying the blindfold and she wished she could help but she didn't have three or four hands so instead she settled for stopping and propping the girl up on her knee and making sure she rested against her securely before taking the thin piece of material from her and tying it around her head. She didn't know how tight or loose she liked it so she had to base it off Kaname's reaction before securing the knot. "Better?" She asked before she picked her up again and set off at an easy pace.
