"roger that sir" she responded then headed towards the vehicles, taking a look behind she couldn't shake the feeling that they we're going into a trap... but she couldn't disobey orders.
Sgt. Becket who was looking through the scope of the sniper rifle said to the major.
"I can't get a clear shot anyway, we need to get on top of the city walls" he started packing and in minutes he and Akari were down by the transports behind the major.

Ace climbed up the walk and loaded the catapults with the other knights. "Right after this battle, I'm leaving to the other world."
"Sir! But, why?" Ace didn't reply. He loaded his belt with throwing knives leeched with poison. He loaded the last catapult and waited for the invaders.

The soldiers were all ready as they stood awaiting for the attack. The sun began to set as torches began to be lit.
Some of the special forces soldiers were taking flour and salt bags and stacking them.
Ace would have seen two of the soldiers come up with two big guns and two soldiers carrying boxes of ammunition.
Behind him, ace would hear the soldiers conversation.
"Ammo check."
"390 rounds."
"Check."
"Check."
"Check."
"Alright ladies. You know the drill. Conserve ammunition. The two SAS with the saw mk10 machineguns are going to mow down a lot of enemies. Their armour is weak so anywhere is a good target. Remember our training." The soldiers were going to their respective positions.
Ace would have seen one American navy seal load up a magazine as he pulled the charging hammer back making a noise.

Ace carefully watched them load up their wands- or as they called it, a 'gun.' He stood up and looked at the soldiers in amusement. "So that's what we're losing to, huh? Tell me.. why are you helping your enemy defend a town when you could be burning it?"

"We come from different times. Burning houses is a crime. But there are innocent people here." The spetznaz said as he checked his ak-80 as he walked over to one of the sas soldiers manning the machinegun.
Below, two navy seals were talking. "Get the atgms."
"Dude, we use those against tanks."
"It doesn't matter."
"Oh and get the korean made k-5 mk9 light machine gun. Also the Canadian c-83 assault rifles."

The sun began to set as all the soldiers of the city were awaiting the attack. Soon a barrage of arrows came raining down hitting some of the knights.
"Enemy attack!" One of the officers called out. There were siege towers moving towards the castle walls. The remnants of the united Kingdom's army began their attack. Ladders were brought as the enemy soldiers began to climb up and over.
The two SAS soldiers began to shoot their machine guns.

Sgt. Beckett started shooting his rifle as well, after killing a guy who pushed one siege tower he shouted.
"Rookie start marking targets for us, begin with the guys pushing those towers."
"Aye sir!" responded Akari while pulling out his binoculars and starts marking men one by one. After each marking, he would immediately hear the loud sound of the sniper rifles discharging in his right. The major and sgt. fired at an amazing rate so he had to keep up.
Kayla was at the gate shooting incoming hostiles through a small window, if any of them got too close she would draw her swords and engage them. She then saw the battering ram approaching then said via COM:
"Somebody take out that ram before it reaches the gate, use the damn rocket launchers on it."

A part of the wall was overwhelmed as enemies killed the last defenders of that section as a number of them began to charge at Ace and the officer's position.
"Keep fighting." The officer said as he and a few men charged and engaged the enemy.
One of the spetznaz behind Ace blocked a swing from an emeny as he slashed the enemy's throat with a knife. He then pointed the gun and shot all 5 of the enemies that were in his way

Ace grinned. "I got this." He charged at four enemies and sliced through them as they collapsed over the wall. More enemies rushed him but he slit all their throats in one move.

The two SAS soldiers, despite their attempts at trying to kill those manning the battering rams, still managed to ram the doors open. Soon, enemies were coming in from the main gate as they were met with a barricade led by the princess.
"Volley." One of the officers yelled as archers fired their arrows at the enemies as they collapsed. Soon, more were entering as some made it over the barricade.
Ace would have seen one of the UDTs point a big looking thing as the thing that he shot out destroyed the battering ram and killed a number of enemies.
"We're getting overwhelmed. Re-group behind the barricade." The officer yelled as the survivors began to jump down and fight their way to the safety of the barricades.
The two SAS special forces soldiers ran past Ace as one stopped and pulled off his belt with three metal canisters attached to them as he threw them over the wall causing an explosion.

The major had just finished shooting his fifth ladder as he saw that the wall was being overwhelmed.
"Lets try this." He took a bullet with a glowing red tip as he aimed it and shot it causing an explosion killing and injuring a group of enemies.
"When's the air force coming?" Volski asked again.

Kayla was still shooting everything hostile that was closing in the gate, then she saw a large explosion on the field, most likely a explosive round from the sniper team. So she said via COM:
"Akari mark the ones coming towards the gate first,let one with the explosive rounds deal with the large groups, u and beckett focus on the incoming contacts. If things get messy I will have to engage them in close combat like that guy did before." she then turns towards the 6 special forces soldiers behind the barricades.
"I hope you gentlemen will have my back then."

As they fighting was turning in the favor of the enemy, the defenders of the city were stretched out in a thin defense line.
Ace would have seen in the horizon, a number of floating shadows in the distance.
"What is that?" The officer fighting beside Ace had also seen the shadows.

"Cavalry's here." Herman said through the coms to every platoon member.
"How much longer?" Volski replied.
"In a few minutes. Get all friendly forces out of here."

A total of 24 helicopters were seen making their way towards the city.

"Get your men out of here if you want them to live." The SAS Major said to Ace.
The UN platoon soldiers were all running towards buildings as they motioned for the defenders to take shelter.

Ace muttered. "I hate my job." He dashed as quickly as he could behind the barricade. "Men, fall back! Our main priority right now is to defend ourselves and protect the princess! Lock down all homesteads!" Ace grabbed the princess and fled until he was out of sight from the helicopters. He led the princess into an abandoned storage building. "You must stay safe, for the future of our world."

The storage building had a large window allowing for both Ace and the Princess to have a clear view of the attack from a safe distance.
The attack helicopters released their hell fire missiles including multiple rockets causing a massive series of explosions engulfing many enemies. As the flames disappeared, some of the enemies were screaming as their bodies were severely burned.
Then the awful sound of the chaingun and miniguns mowing down fleeing enemies.
There were 10 enemies a few feet from where they were hiding that were fleeing the scene.
"What are those things?"
"There's people riding them."
Soon, the 10 were cut down as a few had their arms, legs and heads taken off by the force of the helicopter's guns.
In the distance, there were a number of helicopters chasing surviving enemies on horses as they used their missiles again and took out the rest with their guns.
"They're able to tear through their armour, burn them."
"What kind of power do these armoured men have?" The princess asked Ace.

Ace clenched his fists. "I know now that is not magic. In our world, magic can aid people as well as harm them.. but what they're using is just for destruction. I believe they're called 'helicopters.' They shoot out a fire-like magic out of their sockets." Ace pulled the princess down as a helicopter over them. "Please princess, put your cloak on."

People came down from ropes from the helicopters as their guns had flashlights on scaring some of the enemies.
"Glowing magic?" The Princess said to herself.
"Get down!" One of the UN soldiers said as they began to shoot at a group of survivors. As the last of the enemies were shot down, the soldiers began scouting out the area. Some enemies that survived were groaning as some UN soldiers shot the enemy survivors.
More and more UN soldiers were beginning to drop down as they were searching for any survivors.
"Get the survivors and gather them up in the field." One of the soldiers ordered.
"This is for your people invading my country and killing hundreds of my countrymen." One of the soldiers said as he shot and killed several prisoners.
"Where's the 1st recon platoon?"
"Look for them. They should be here somewhere."

Ace broke into a sweat and back further into the storage house. There was a small cabinet in the back and he rushed the princess into it. Ace hid in a barrel of fruits.

The princess, recognizing the officer's voice came out of the cabinet. "I'm un-harmed. You have done your duty."
The officer felt relieved as several armoured men were helping the princess come out of the storage building.

Ace lifted himself out of the barrel, spitting a tangerine out of his mouth. He glared at Volski. "They're here because of you. I don't feel comfortable with the princess being protected by people who are #1 targets.."
