"No means no."


"I agree with the Lieutenant colonel. I'm not about to give protection to her. And if anyone here decides to go against it, I will personally deal with you." Volski said.

She didn't expect this kind of response but didn't talk back...She was about to say that she was Special Ops. herself and that those high ranked officers would show the self-restraint that the position demands, but kept quiet. She arrived in this world with classified orders to only listen to general Moores's orders (damn repetition)...but this this guys were still her superiors so she had to suck it up. Then said with little sarcasm in her tone: "I only wanted to help, thought you sirs didn't have time for babysitting, as we are in times of war. But guess I was wrong. My apologies."

"This is a war that we would have won months ago. But the UN does not want to. We are still going to end up striking key buildings within the Kingdom but this war is already won." The Lieutenant general said.


"The Kingdom is fighting a losing war and yet their own senators are too blind to see that we can cause extensive damage to them."

Ace's face darkened. "So I finally see how you Earth people are. Even though the Emperor is responsible for all of this the princess still has to carry his burden.. and we're not losing this war. The Kingdom will never stop fighting." He scooted closer to the princess, gripping the handle of his sword.

After a while, a few helicopters began to appear scouting and patrolling.


"Outer patrol units." The Lieutenant colonel said.


"This is patrol bird 1-4. All roads are clear." The voice of the pilot said transmitting through to the radio.


"Copy." Volski said through the strange device.


"We've arrived already?" The princess asked.


The vehicles were slowing down as to Ace's side, there were a group of soldiers training.


"Turtle formation. Butthey don't have shields, they'll be vulnerable." The princess said.


"Look they are all carrying the same wands." The princess pointed.


"They're not wands. They're guns. Weapons. Not magic." Volski said.


"Guns." The princess was looking outside. "We should have these guns. So that the battle would not be one sided."


Outside, there were different shaped things much like the ones Ace, the princess and the officer were riding.


"How many of these armoured chariots do they have?" The officer asked as he saw a group of humvees.

There was a truck with an M2 mine bomb.

It was making it's way to a massive stealth bomber as the truck stopped, people began the process of attaching the bomb to the stealth.

On Ace's side, there were 10 South Korean K10 black panther tanks all lined up and several more doing drills across the field.

"Big guns. That are capable of punching a hole through walls. Even if you have guns, we have these. And they are impossible to take out unless you have atgms." Volski said.

A few drones few overhead patrolling the skies.


There was a clear view of the ocean as massive ships were docked in the ports.


The Princess and the officer stared at the vehicles, aircraft and ships in shock.


"What do you want." Volski said to Ace.


The three vehicles soon stopped as the platoon members began come out of the vehicles.

Volski pulled Ace behind the vehicles.


"What do you want?" Volski asked while holding an assault rifle.


The other platoon members were making their way inside the building with the princess and the officer.

Ace smiled with amusement. "Well, you've amazed me.. you really have. By the way, you know the only real way you can win this war is by killing the Emperor.. and guess who can do that for you?"

"I have no authority over that stuff. Not evsn fhe general of this base. Only the UN assembly woupd autiorise it. But I will tell you right now, we have no plans of killing the emperor as of right now." Volski said.


"If that is what you wanted to say then get to the building."

Ace chuckled and put his hands in his pockets. "Funny, I thought you wanted to know who activated the gate." He began walking towards the building.

There were a few vehucles parked and a couple tanks rolling down the road.


Volski entered the building as he began walking up the stairs to the office.


Inside, the princess and general Moores were talking.


"Ah. Ace. I'd like for you to meet the man in charge of this base. The officer said.


The general nodded at ace.


"Well there are many customs that yiu must learn when entering our world. The commander can help with that." Moores said.

Ace merely blinked at him and took his place beside the princess. "You are the man who is in charge of burning our toens and killing our people, huh? What a pleasure. If you could hurry this meeting up that would be great." He didn't show one flick of a smile. He casually rested his hand on the metal handle of his sword.

"I simply carry out orders given from the UN." Moores said.


"Because of difficulties, we have to delay your princess's trip to earth by a few hours. We have tight security. If you try anything. We will send you to prisons."


"This man says that he knows who authorized the attacks on earth." Volski said pointing at Ace.


The general looked at Ace. "Well, I have no authority since all of our orders comes from the UN assembly."


"But your people are the ones who started this war. You were the ones that provoked us, by killing thousands of our people. We simply responded back because our people wanted us to. Your mistake was provoking war with a civilization thousands of years more advanced than your world."

 

[Skelo10]

Ace chuckled to himself. "I like you people. Very interesting at the least. About the prisons, what kind of people do you have in there?"

"Criminals, sex offenders, abusers, racists, anyone who has harmed another human being or animal." Moores said.


"We protect the innocent. Everyone is equal regardless of their status. And the people have the power. Not the government. The government is there to serve and represent the people."


It was clear that the princess was not understanding what the general was talking about.

Kayla apparently doozed off in the vehicle, being half aware of her surroundings and half asleep. But the voice of the major waked her up..better said what he said woke her completely. She hurriedly left the vehicle and rushed towards the building. She had to ask general Moores about her next assignment.


"Aila where is the princess now?"she asked.


"I thought you've forgotten about me Ari-chan..I was starting to get lonely"


"Why didn't you woke me up??? Geez what am I gonna do with you...maybe a should ask VIKI, maybe she would be more reliable" said Kayla in a teasing voice.


"Okay, okay sorry...you sounded so peaceful I didn't want to disturb you. Anyway that VIKI chick won't do you any good, she's kind of in silent mode..I've sent her some messages introducing myself, but got no response."


"Fine just tell me where is the general Moores current location and set a waypoint there."


"He is in his office with the commander and the princess..and her guard, that guy gives me the creeps."


"Yeah I don't trust him either. Well maybe this time the princess will talk with us a little as well"

After a while she found herself in front of the same doors she was left waiting the last time. She took a breath and then stepped in and making a crisp salute while saying:


"Captain Kayla Ariel D'Sole reporting for duty, sir" if she would be invited to join them, she would choose to stand at general Moores right facing Ace and keeping an eye on him.

Meanwhile Aila was getting bored and tried contacting Eva.


"Eva-chan are you still there?"

"Yes. Some died on their way up the hill and the rest were captured. They tried to escape so we had to kill all of them except for two. Tbey are held in the Washington DC PRISON"

The veins on Ace's neck popped. "You KILLED them?!" Without thinking, Ace pulled out his sword not particularly pointing it at anyone.


"I've tried.. I've tried princess. I can't take it anymore. I was about to give up.." His eyes flashed with anger. "Until I found out Squadron X was in custody. I had a reason to keep fighting." He gripped the handle of his sword tighter, the blade still pointing towards the ground.
