Fantasy Franzia Highschool:School for the supernatural.

Clarissa barked and jumped up when she saw Zizi. She wagged her tail and tried to jump on her like a dog would their owner. She realized that she was acting more like a dog than a wolf but she liked it right now.

Zizi grinned, and reverted back to her human state, with her scaly arms and glowing orange eyes. "I promise. But did you see me? I didn't have to be taught to fly! It just came so naturally! I can change as well as Clarissa," she smiled, as if sharing a secret with Clarissa. "And I don't have to be afraid. Oh, thank you, Alice!" She hugged Alice, laughing with sheer joy. Clarissa jumped up and down, clearly happy for her. She nodded to Clarissa, mouthing the word, Forgiven.

Alice jumped up and down and smiled. "That's awesome! I knew I still had it in me! You look great!" Alice took in Zizi's smiling face, and felt warm inside.

Casper smiled at them all, glad that everything was alright. He took it as the cue to pick up his book and allow them to catch up while he left.

Clarissa watched Casper leave and whimpered softly. Even if they were supposed to hate each other she kinda liked him. He was really nice.

"But what I don't understand is the scales," Zizi asked, letting go of Alice. "I think they go all the way up..."

She untied her cloak, letting it fall to the ground. Underneath she was wearing a black dress, long sleeve and very clearly homemade. It was almost as if she had ripped apart curtains and haphazardly sewn them back together, but Zizi didn't seem to notice how different her own clothing was from everyone else's. She pulled back her huge sleeve, easily gathering it near her shoulder. The scales, golden as her eyes, indeed covered her arm, like her skin had disappeared. Only the skin on her fingers and palm was left.

"Pazen didn't have this," she explained, dropping the humongous sleeve, and picking up her cloak. "And neither did I, when I was younger, without the bracelet. Did... did the spell do something? Besides free me?"

Clarissa changed back to normal. She smiled and looked at her scales and feeling them. "They are so pretty."She said smiling

Zizi smiled shyly. "Thanks." Her hand instinctively reached for her wrist, as if going to rub the bracelet that once had trapped her. A nervous habit.

{Wow, guys, gone for half a day. Half. Oh, well.

. . .

And eight more pages? I got flooded. =D}

W.I.P

I'll finish this later, okay? I'm heading out the door in a few short minutes, and everything's a bit hectic at the moment. I'm surprised that I even squeezed this small amount of time to say it. Responding in, like, four hours? Five? Don't flood me again!

Clarissa smiled when she heard a howl coming from the woods. She looked up and saw I was already night time."Well guys I'm sorry but i gotta run. The best hunt is at night."She said grinning menacingly. She changed back and took off it to the woods. When she got far enough she howled as if saying good night. She found a beautiful cave and went in there falling asleep.

Hannah smiled. "What a name. I'm Hannah means nothing bad its just a pathetic human name that I was told to call my self."She said twirling her hair. "So what are you doing here? The first day has already past. We will be the new kids"She said her face scrunching up."There's a way to get in just hang on and let me think."She looked at the note in the envelope she was sent that came along with her letter. "Ah ha. Its a spell."She said quoting the words from the note she looked over at the abandoned warehouse. Something appeared that looked like a black iron gate with green leaves covering it. "Should we go in now or wait to see if more come?"She said not really caring just not wanting to go into the school.

Zizi waved good bye, and turned back to the vampire and night fairy. "I'm sorry. But I think I should turn in." She gave them a small smile, and began to walk back to her dorm, deep in the forest. Luckily as the light was quickly fading, she was able to blink, turning on her orange vision. She saw clearly in the darkness, and could easily find her way back to the dorm.

But that was before she heard something--like a growling, and then two people talking. Suddenly a black iron gate appeared, covered in ivy. Two people stood on the opposite side; a girl and a boy. She didn't have senses like her Nightwalker friends, but even she could tell, from the distance she was at, that these guys were trouble. But she was in the forest, and near her dorm. She knew she should just go back to her dorm, not get curious and go to sleep. She didn't even know what sleeping as a dragon, a full blooded dragon, would be like.

After a moment's debate, she decided she wouldn't get too close. After all, this was Franzia High. Obviously they weren't human. But the strict no-killing-other-students was enforced, wasn't it?

What could possibly happen?

She wrapped her dark cloak around her, climbing a tree and then using it to jump from tree to tree. To anyone not watching above them, they wouldn't notice her. Pazen had taught her how to walk in the trees, and that ability had saved their lives many times. Was she reached the iron gate, a familiar sight, she settled in the tree closest to it. She hid in the branches, hoping her dark cloak and small frame wouldn't be noticed by the two creatures below.

She saw a white haired boy, and a girl with blue and black hair. Interesting. Did blue hair mean she was a mermaid? Zizi had often heard that the mermaids had strangely colored hair.

"--not a pup either," the boy spoke softly.

Zizi cocked her head, wondering what he was.

"Greetings Hannah," Jun said politely, bowing his head. "I am simply here for the same reason that everyone one else is. To attend Franzia." Jun watched as Hannah recited a spell, causing a gate to appear. Before he could answer her next question, he paused, softly sniffing the air. "It appears that someone has arrived to greet us," he said simply, looking to the branches of the tree closest to the gate.

Hannah heard something on the other side of the fence and turned her head. Her red eyes glowing as she bared her in human teeth. She looked over in there and walked towards the gate. She looked back at the hellhound and smiled she could use him as an advantage. "Hey pup come over here and tell me what you smell."She said. She would call him by his name but that wasn't her style she always came up with names for everyone even if they hated them. She smiled again hearing him say that there was someone on the other side. "Well hello there my pretty. I can see you glowing eyes from here might as well jump down and let us in."She said grinning menacingly again.

Skies above, Zizi thought. Do they really glow?

The mermaid smiled, but it had no warmth in it. Should she let them in, if they couldn't get in themselves? They stood on the other side of the gate, the girl grinning evilly. The boy stood, his look calculating and cold.

Zizi jumped down from the tree. There was no more hiding for her, not now, not ever. She refused to be afraid, having spent too much of her childhood being scared and frightened of everything and everyone.

She landed in a crouch, standing to face them from the other side of the fence. "You're not human, are you?"

She knew the magic wards prevented humans from coming into the school, and any supernatural could come in. So she came to the conclusion that they were human, and that meant that they didn't deserve her trust. "Because humans aren't allowed here, if you're going to come to Franzia."

Her calmness and the strength of her voice surprised her. She never would have been able to confront anyone like this a day ago. Maybe the spell had done more than give her back her dragon identity.

"No we are not. The mutt is a hellhound. I dont know what this guy is"She pointed to the guy who hasn't talked yet."And me well you see in a demon."She said darkly. Her red eyes flashing again."Now if you would please open the gate demons or hellhounds and things of that sort cannot come in unless invited and they must come in like a human."

Zizi frowned. She hadn't noticed the other boy, who was shorter and less noticeable than the first two. But a hellhound? Wasn't that... dangerous, somehow?

Internally she laughed, outwardly showing no change in her face. Dangerous. She was a dragon for skies' sake. If she wanted to, she could burn down the entire forest and the school would be hard-pressed to stop her. Not to mention she was friends with a vampire, werewolf and a night fairy. All of them dangerous in one way or the other.

"It's not my place to let you in," Zizi answered decidedly. She probably could let them in, and it would be fine, but the wards were there for a reason. The demon's eyes flashed red, and Zizi's gut knotted at the sight.

The hellhound though said nothing. It seemed the female demon was in charge of this posse.

Hannah smiled and knew that this girl wouldn't let them in. She lifted her envelope that told her to come to this stupid highschool. "We are supposed to be in there but no one has opened that gates."She said irritatedly

"We would greatly appreciate if you would let us in," Jun said softly, looking the girl in the eyes.

Hannah looked over at the pup. "Youre so nice."She she said distastefully. She sat down on her feet her black skinny jeans hugging her legs with her lose shirt.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_05/wp_ss_20150528_0008.png.9508b8dd319bbef5603b54957c6a03a9.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="54330" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_05/wp_ss_20150528_0008.png.9508b8dd319bbef5603b54957c6a03a9.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p> she looked at the ground and grabbed a leaf. She was able to use her magic and catch it on fire.

Zizi saw the envelope, but still wasn't sure what to do. If she let them in, what was the worst they could do? Zizi knew well what prejudice and legends surrounded all of them, so she couldn't rely on that to tell her what to say.

"We would greatly appreciate it if you would let us in," the hellhound spoke. His voice was quiet, and held no emotion that Zizi could detect. She studied him, but his face remained neutral, and she couldn't tell a thing about him.

But they were supernaturals. She was one of them, and they had probably been treated about as great as she had in the human world. Couldn't she do them the decency of letting them into a safe haven?

Her hands moved to the latch, and she lifted it, groaning with the effort. Magically the door opened, the huge iron gate creaking with the effort. Zizi moved out of its way, and nodded in apology.

"I'm sorry. I don't trust easily, I guess."

Hannah stood up and walked forward. "Oh its fine. Trust isnt a good thing to have when it comes to demons."She said walking past her and jumping into a tree. She looked down and let her feet dangle. The only thing able to be seen is her red glowing eyes."So. Name?"She said twirling her hair with her finger

Jun, no longer seeing a reason to stay in his human form, took a step forward and disappeared in a flash of fire. Almost instantly, he reappeared in his hellhound form, right next to Hannah. He did nothing, just watched the girl with his flaming eyes.

Zizi looked at her in the tree, not the least bit surprised. "Zizi. What's yours?"

The hellhound changed, fire flashing and stepped to become a huge, flaming dog. Immediately Zizi jumped back, the fear getting to her. The demon wasn't all that frightening, her red eyes were no worse than Clarissa's black ones. But the hellhound was most definitely a scary thing.

He sat, apparently meaning no offense, and watched her with eyes ablaze. She breathed in, tempted to show him her dragon form. But she decided to calm herself. If he wasn't going to attack, neither was she.

Hannah smiled and petted the hellhound. He was hot to the touch but it didn't really bother her. "I was told to use the name Hannah. But it isnt my name."She said irritably. "What are you?"She asked curious. "And can you show us the way to where we are supposed to sleep?"
