Fantasy for the king (always open)

Hahna and Vaerla had gotten to the study. Vaerla had thought about what Hahna had said about her situation, and while true she couldn't help but think about it. Hahna had opened the door for the young princess, waiting for Vaerla to enter. Though Vaelra was deep in though. Mostly going back and forth between whether or not it would be rational for her to run away. Biting her lip she decided she needed more time to think, though with Hahna with her every waking second. "Ah...Hahna would you be a dear and fetch me something to drink? The walk has caused me to be rather famished." She smiled at Hahna though she knew her life was terrible and she could most likely see through her. Hahna looked at Vaelra questionable but who was she to question the princess. "Very well...stay right here." With this Vaerla gained a wary look from Hahna before the maid walked away to fetch some water.

As soon as Hahna disappeared from Vaerla's sight she decided to start putting her action into reality. She started to run in the opposite direction, towards the royal stables. Of course, it wasn't well thought out but  she saw it as a chance so she decided to take it. She would slow her pace when she passed any maids or servants, giving them a smile and a nod before going on her way. She grabbed a cloak from one of the hooks as she made her way outside, meeting the stable boy Malar. "Malar! A horse please. I wish to go for a stroll." She said to the stable boy, catching quick glimpses back at the castle doors to make sure no one had followed her.

"Yes miss...Where is Hahna? Is she not supposed to be with you?" Malar asked as he got a horse ready for the princess. Vaelra looked at him and smiled as she tightened a sack around her waist. "Ah...She's fallen ill. I told her to get some rest." This time when she lied she turned away so she wouldn't have to face him, believing it would be her face that gave away her lies. She noted his silence as she turned around grabbing the reigns as Malar helped her up on the horse. "I'll be back in a moments time. Though if you can I wish this to be between us." With this, she rode off into the forest. By no means was she about to run away but she didn't need to think of her options and whenever she became overwhelmed she always rode.

Hahna came back with a pitcher of water though paused for a moment when Vaerla was nowhere in sight. "Princess?" She asked hesitantly before realizing Vaerla was not in the room. She was unsure whether or not she should tell Vaerla's sister. Knowing how Vaerla hated to be treated like a child but she also knew how the other family members of the royal family viewed Vaerla, so she knew this would be on her if the Princess was not found or she did not tell anyone. She thought perhaps Vaerla went in search of her sister. So being the reasonable lady she was, she made her way to where Decthalia was. Arriving at the door  she knocked before poking her head inside. Deciding to make up something if in fact Vaerla was not there.

In all honesty, Silas was a bit disappointed when the princess told him that whisky was off of the menu. He  had developed quite a taste for it in all of his years in Drea. But he wouldn't let this small, negative emotion stile a bell on his face. So it remained in the same place as it had been. Which just so happened to be watching Decthalia. He watched her  precise movements as she got up to get him some rum. It was only then did he realize that he had not answered her about the rum. "Rum will be perfectly fine," he told her. She seemed very nervious. In fact, Silas was hoping that a drink would calm her nerves.  Now that he was closer to her, Silas was able to easily fixate on her dress as she was turned around. It looked as if the stars had fallen from the heavens and landed perfectly on her shoulders and torso. The color complimented her skin, but it also made her thick hair stand out in a fascinating way.

Silas had to pulls his thoughts back into the conversation that he was having with the princess. He listened as she answered his question. She definetly seemed to have a knack for this kind of thing. But he wanted to expand her mind on it. Make her think outside of the box. "But how could my people trade with your people when it is nearly a two day journey from my castle to yours?" he asked her thoughtfully. Silas wanted to see what she could do without her father's words bouncing around in her head.

Decthalia gently took the wineglass that was facing upside down and she turned it to it's proper position as she began to open the bottle of rum and poured it into the glass. She watched as it filled up almost half way and she stopped pouring, since she didn't want her guest getting drunk on her. She set the bottle of rum aside before she made her way towards him with the glass of rum in her hand and she watched as it gently danced from side to side as she walked. Decthalia set the glass in front of him and turned to go back and sit. She took her place at the seat once more with her hands on her lap and her legs were crossed elegantly. "Yes, I am well aware of that now." She said to him and during that moment she tried to think of a solution before she opened her mouth again. "I believe you have knowledge that there is the river of Cesh which merchants back before I was even born used it as a way of transporting goods." Decthalia said as she made direct eye contact with him. "The river splits into three directions, north, south, and the east banks which goes into the kingdom of Drea. How about we use that as a way of transporting goods and it only takes a days travel to get there?" Decthalia added on. Her times with her father had really paid off whenever she would stick around his meetings even if he told her not too. Even though she was a bit rusty in her conversation, she thought it was good enough since she was doing this all by herself. "Also on top of that, it will help decrease the amount of people who are jobless both in my city and yours and boost up the workforce."

Decthalia heard a sudden knock on the door and she stood up from her chair, but did not push it back from her. "Yes, come in." Decthalia's sweet voice said. 'Oh dear lord, what is it now?' She thought to herself as she watched the person poke their head in and she realized that it was Hahna. "Yes Hahna, is there something so important in which you interrupted this meeting for?" She asked her sternly and waited for a reply. Decthalia loved Hahna with all her heart and she appreciated the girl but at times she did a terrible job at keep a watchful eye on Vaelra and seeing her in the room shows that Hahna is not with her.

Hanna looked from the strange man to the Princess, her palms getting sweaty as the Princess spoke to her. Taking a look around she decided Vaerla was in fact not there. "Ah just seeing if you two would care for something to eat." She smiled, she knew she had a bad track record with Vaerla disappearing on her, which is why she always hated to tell Decthalia about her inability to keep watch over her sister.

Vaerla rode off into the woods to her 'place'. It was nothing fancy, just a bunch of logs settled against a beach to almost make a tent of sorts. Her father made it when she was younger, and she found it to be calming in times of stress. Tying her horse to a nearby tree branch she hiked up her skirts as she went underneath the structure.

She hd a lot on her mind. What Hanna said still nagged on her. She really wouldn't have much freedom unless she fled. Even if she was married she would be under the control of her husband which never settled well with Vaerla. She could always flee to Yaya, perhaps get to know her uncle, but that would be far to risky for her. So Vaerla sat under the logs, drawing her knees to her chest as she sighed.

Silas watched the woman as she brought him his drink. She seemed to be staring into the liqueur as if it could answer his question for her. He nodded a thank you to her before she turned to take her own seat across from him. as he awaited her answer, Silas swirled the dark substance in his cup, watching as the waves wove in and out of each other, smashing against the glass. He was extremely impressed when she mentioned the large river. Not many outside of Drea know about it, usually only those who lived on the banks. The king nodded his head, going over his options. He had planned out what he could say, but since he didn't think that the princes would know about the river, he hadn't really considered it an option. If this had been a usual meeting, he would have steered away from the river, as e wanted it to be Drea's little secret. But alas, this was far from a normal meeting with another royal. Citt and Yaya were on the verge of war, and they were demanding Drea to take sides. In a few weeks, Silas would be traveling to Yaya, hoping to be able to decide which side he would support.

The princess did however make a very good point, in that it would create jobs. Drea wasn't too thirsty for jobs, but many hated working up north and would be glad for a change of scenery. Subconsciously, the king narrowed his eyes as he thought, hard at wok in his mind. Siding with Citt could be a very good opportunity for Drea, maybe even make them more powerful than they already were. But the king of Citt wouldn't take too kindly of Silas taking advantage of his country.

Just as he was about to open his mouth and answer the princess, a small framed woman peeped her head in. Silas did his best not to chuckle when the royal snapped at the servant. Obviously rethinking her motives, the frail woman asked if they needed any food. In all honesty, he was starving, but he didnt want to take away from the diplomatic trail that was going on between the two. So he shook his head as an answer, at least for me. "No, I'm fine" he told her and waited to see how the princess would reply.

"That is very sweet of you Hahna, but I believe we are fine at the moment." She says knowing that Hahna looked as if she was worried about something and plus her whole mood and body behavior changed as she was talking. Decthalia didn't want to say anything to her but she knew that Hahna wanted to tell her something, but it seems like she told herself no. "Besides that, I have arranged a feast in your honor Silas." She says and she looked at Hahna and signaled for her to leave the room politely. Decthalia let out a slight sigh as she waited for his answer but it seemed as if he was still thinking of it. She moved away from where she was sitting and walked over to the window and she put her fingertips on the windowsill. "Shocking is it not? How men and women were placed on this dear earth for a purpose, and what we decide to do is battle for a piece of land from the earth." She muttered under her breath as she looked out the window before turning herself to face the direction in which King Silas was in.

"What say you King Silas? Is it not a good proclamation that I am proposing?" Decthalia asked him as she let her hands fall in front of her as she cupped them. Decthalia was nervous and she wasn't hoping for him to make a quick decision since this is a very important deal that could help the future of Citt as well as his but she wasn't sure if he was game for it not.

Silas rakes his mind on any loophole that there could be for either side. A loophole could mean the devaluation of a country's economy. Of course, Citt was the better option of an ally. If Yaya did decide to attack either one of them, the other kingdom could come in behind Yaya and choke it to death. It was a much better  way to maneuver through the whole fiasco. But his strongest ally would be with the country that his wife was from. As of that moment, the only offer he had gotten was from a king much further south than Citt. A southerner would hate the winters in Drea, but he was running out of time, and options. Silas carefully constructed his next sentence, as it could create his strongest ally yet.

"I will have to make arrangements, but yes. I think this alliance will do both countries quite a bit of good." He told the woman as he stood up. He then made his way towards the princess, slow, as if calculating every step. Letting out a confident breath, Silas reached his hand out, for her to shake. He had seen many kings treat their queens with disrespect and contempt. But, the way Silas saw it, a woman gave birth to him. Why should she be treated with less respect than anyone else?

Decthalia's ears perk up when he said that he would agree tot he proclamation but she felt as if that was way too easy. "Are you sure you would like to go through with this before we make any arrangements?" She asked him as she tilted her head slightly tot he side and felt her hair slowly following the movements that she makes. Decthalia didn't mean to question him but she knew there was always a catch with these kinds of agreements so she didn't know what would happen. Decthalia tried to remain as calm and still as possible when he approached her, his presence dominating hers but she help up strongly.

Decthalia reached for his hand as well, but quickly pulled away before shaking on things,"I am truly sorry. But I really do believe that there is some kind of catch that you are waiting to put on me, am I wrong?" Decthalia said when a bit of her accent slipped out as her hand rested on her flat stomach. "I know you have done this more then I have and you seem like an intelligent man who knows a thing or more about alliances," she complimented him as she was standing about a inches away from him.

Silas watched as the woman pulled back from his hand, cautious of his intent. A small smirk appeared on his face. She was a smart woman, who saw the dangers of shaking hands with someone that she knew nothing about. He was pleased to see his future ally handling the situation as well she was. Especially since she seemed fairly new that the whole "diplomatic compromise". By this time, Silas had settled his hand down by his side.

With their bodies only inches away from each othed, Silas could now see her dark, swirling eyes clearly. They

stood out nicely against her tanned complexion. He narrowed his eyes as if focusing on her. "I swear on the gods that I am not taking a loophole. Trust me, there is no loophole worth taking" he promised. Silas blinked slowly, his mind racing over all of the things that this alliance could do for Drea. The king raised his eyebrows at the princess in front of him and held his hand up once more. "So? Do we have an alliance?" he asked her, his smooth voice ending the the statement in a question.

Decthalia listened to his words and began to reach her hand that was once on her stomach back out towards his hand. Decthalia locked her eyes on him and never moved them since she didn't want this business connection that they had going on break. With a simple sigh, her hand was now touching his, skin to skin, sharing the warmth of a new alliance between the Drea kingdom and the Silas kingdom. "I apologize for what I am going to say since most will not consider this to be very lady-like, but so help me if you cheat me in the future, hell will rain on this earth." She said and that was a promise, not a threat in her case. But the way she said it seemed cold and stern but it was only her business 'mode' taking over.

"Very well, shall we eat to celebrate this new alliance?" She tells him as she slowly but gently let go of the hand-shake and gave him a warm smile.

Hanna nodded and scurried of to find Vaerla. She hoped to find the girl before the other Princesses meeting ended. She would not have her head chopped of for this girl. She acquired the help of other servants, and soon the castle swarmed with hushed whispers of the Princesses name.

Vaerla was still a bundle of questions and worries. Tapping her foot of the forest ground has she attempted to decided what she should do about her situation. Now she was fighting between going to Yaya and just simply run away. She knew there would most likely be some complications if she went to Yaya, and there would be less risk...now more...sh really didn't know the risk if she just ran away. With a sigh she crawled out from under the log structure, untying her horse from the branch as she hoisted herself up. She sat there for a few moment before she decided to get back, hoping Hahna had not told her sister she left. Ridding back her mind was still a cloud of uncertainty.

King Silas listened carefully to the princess's promise, a smirk slipping the tips of his mouth upwards. Before the woman let go, however, Silas brought her in a bit closer. His lips were close enough to touch her ear, but the two objects never made contact. "In the future, you might not wish to threaten a king who is just as strong as your kingdom. We both know that hell can come by frost," he whispered gently in her ear. Silas wasn't threatening her, but it may have come across that way. In reality, he was warning her of what threats could do.

The king let the woman's hand go and took a step back. Silas smiled back at her. "To my new ally" he said, and motioned politely with his arm for her to go first, as this was the only room that he had been in in he entire castle.

Decthalia watched as his body movement quickly changed, as well as his mood which showed a bit of fake-ness. Decthalia felt his hand pull her close to him and before she knew it he was inches away from him, Decthalia wanted to flinch since no man has ever gotten this close to her before and it certainly was the first. But lucky for her she didn't, but what did slip out was a slight gasp since he had taken her by surprise. Decthalia listened to what he said but it only made her heart pound faster then it already was beating. Right then and there she wanted to apologize to him because she didn't know what came over her but  she felt way too ashamed and embarrassed to even do so. His voice was so warm in her ear but dangerous at the same time knowing what this man could do to do.

She bit her lower lip gently which was a bad habit she had a tendency of doing whenever she did something wrong or was worried. She quickly regained herself as he stepped back and still had that smug smile on his face, she cleared her throat. "I was not threatening you, it was a slight side note sorta say." She tells him with her face as red as can be and she tries to hide it as she walks past him when he had let her go first. "I suppose I should give you a tour of the palace before we make our way to the feast since we have sometime left," she tells him as she turns the door knob and opens the door, waiting for him to follow.

Silas watched as Decthalia's face burned red. She almost looked as if she were about to apologize. She then went on the express how she hadn't threatened him, only made a statement. May the gods have mercy on her husband. He thought jokingly. She seemed to have a will as strong as steal. It was actually kind of amusing. Silas nodded his head to the girl, as if accepting her "apology". That's what Silas had taken it as, though he knew that it wasn't really an apology.

The king followed after the woman, closing the large wooden doer behind him. "A tour would be lovely" he told her as he walked behind her. However, Silas' stride was much long then Decthalia's. This meant that he was able to close the distance between the two royals and walk right beside her. As the two walked, Silas figured that a bit of small talk wouldn't hurt anyone. "Am I correct in thinking that you have a sister?" He asked her. Silas had been wondering where the other princess was. Or was it a prince?

As soon as the door shut she began to walk down the hallway to start to tour of the castle with Silas. Decthalia began to play with her fingers slowly since she was a bit nervous, she hadn't shown anyone around the castle in a while and had thought it was a good idea. "You are correct, she should be around here somewhere." Decthalia said as she felt his presence being very close behind her so she slide to the side of him so that now they were going at the same speed and besides that it was pretty intimidating to know that he was behind her. The first room she showed him was the garden courtyard which was beautifully decorated with exotic flowers, vines, and plants of all sorts. This was her most favorite part in the castle where it was nice and peaceful," This is the whispering gardens. It has that name because whenever we would come into the garden we would find ourselves whispering because I believe it's a very calm and serene place that should not have loud noises." She tells him as she walks around and breaths in the fresh yet sweet air that surrounded them. "Is it not amazing?" She asked him as she looked down at a red rose and smiled.

"As for my sister, she will join us for dinner. Also I have had them prepare a room for you since you have traveled so far," Decthalia tells him she took a couple of steps towards him.

The King watched as the princess moved to his side. He noticed how she twiddled her finger every so slightly, almost as his she were anxious. How long had it been since she had shown someone around her castle? The first room they came to was a gorgeous room. The garden inside of it looked as if it went on for acres this was one of the few things, that Drea didn't have, that he loved. He loved the idea of watching something grow. Of course, it's the same with children, but he had none. He had often wondered how his life would be different with little ones running around everywhere. Silas soon shook the thought from his head. How did he get from garden to children?!?

Silas smiled down at her as Decthalia mentioned that they would have dinner with her sister. "Good, I'm sure she is just as charming as you" he said in a smooth voice. But she then told him about his room, to which he nodded a thanks in her direction. Silas looked the princess in the eyes as she took several steps towards him. He was exactly sure what she was going, but he figured that she was going to point something out behind him.

(OCC: nothing much. Decthalia and Silas have just made an alliance between their kingdoms)

Vaelra rode back to the castle, she made notice of her dress and sighed. She would definitely have to change before her sister saw her. Dirt smeared at the hem of her dress, and she could only imagine what her hair looked like after riding. After a few minutes she had returned to the royal stables, returning her horse before running back inside. Without looking she turned the corner and accidentally ran into Hanna who seemed almost relieved that it was her.

"Hahna a surprise!" She tried to play it of knowing she had run away and ultimately put Hahna is a place where no one wished to be. "Oh no princess. Do not start with me. Your sister could have had my head if she found out." Hahna spoke with seriousness before sighing and wrapping her arms around the princess. "I am glad you are back though. Come let's get you changed before your sister finds you." With this Hahna lead Vaerla back to her room to help her clean up.

After a few tears were shed when Hanna brushed Vaerla's hair she was presentable to go out of her room.  Now in a dressed that looked as if it was made out of snow, causing her dark features to stand out against her pale skin. Vaelra smiled at herself in the mirror before hearing her stomach growl as she turned to Hahna. "I'm hungry. When shall we eat?" She asked as she went to sit down . "Ah we can go to the dining are and I can sneak you something before dinner princess." Vaelra smiled at Hahna's offer. Hooking her arm around Hahnaas she dragged her into the halls and made their was to the dining area.

"I find her to be more charming then I was when I was her age," she said with a slight chuckle as she began to lead him away from the garden and into the next room which was the library which had more then 2,000 different books from around the world and each month they would get a new edition because Decthalia loved to read books and she was fascinated by them. Decthalia then took him to see the study, living room where everyone usually gathered around, the grand throne room which normally was used during celebrations/announcements/events. "If you do not mind me asking, do you have any children of your own?" She asked him, knowing that she did hear a rumor going around that the king did find someone special to him so she thought that they would have kids. Decthalia was a curious girl but sometime her curiosity would get the best of her.

Decthalia waited for a response from him and before she he said anything she saw a servant walking around in the hallway and she stopped her. The women looked to be in her mid 20s, she bowed her head before the two royals. "Natlie please find my sister and ask her to join King Silas and I in the dinning room for diner," she tells Natlie and she watched as Natlie bowed to her once more and left their presence to go and find Vaelra. Decthalia knew the names of every single soldier, servant and worker here in the castle because she knew that as her duty as Princess, she should at least remember the names of the people who have been taking care of her for the past 17 years now.

As she brought him to the dinning hall, the grand dark brown doors were opened by two guards. They raised their heads up high in the presence of the two and allowed for them to walk in. Decthalia smiled and walked in, seeing that the long table was decorated with all sorts of food and that it could feed a village. Decthalia was hit with the sweet smell of food that danced in her nostrils, making her mouth water with delight.

Vaerla and Hahna had stopped to look out one of the windows overlooking the garden. Her eye had been caught by a rabbit who had stopped to make lunch out of one of the nearby shrubs. Hahna and her shared jokes and giggled before Vaerla felt a hand wrap around her arm. Turning around she saw it was Natalie and smiled. "What a lovely surprise. I feel I haven't seen you in forever." Vaerla stated as she looked a Natalie. "Princess your sister request you join her and King Silas in the dining hall." The maid spoke before bowing to walk away. Vaerla and Hahna looked at each other before they chuckled and made their way towards the dining hall.

When Vaerla got to the doors of the dining hall she stopped and pulled Hahna aside. "Do...Do I look okay? I should have picked a different dress. Oh, Gods Hahna I can't do this. I'll mess something up. I can't ruin this for Decthalia. She worked hard for this and I..." Before she could say more Hahna shushed her. "Vaerla you must calm down. You can't get mixed up just because of some king. You always said you wished to prove to your father that you can do things such as this. You'll be fine. Now come on, it's rude to keep them waiting." With this Hahna opened the doors and pushed Vaerla through before closing them, leaving Vaerla to her own devices.

At first, Vaerla quickly turned back to the doors which were closed inches from her face, slightly disoriented she took a deep breath and brushed off her dress before turning around to smile. Looking from her sister to King Silas and then back to her sister. Finally, her schooling kicked in as she remembered to curtsy and bow her head, her voice barely above a whisper as she introduced herself. "Hello. I'm Princess Vaerla. It's a pleasure." Raising up from her bow she looked to her sister to make sure that she wasn't messing up just yet.

@sprouhtt @Rainy83

Silas walked with ease at the girl's side with his hands comfortably rested behind his back. He had been extreamly interested in the library, since he knew that his most powerful weapon was his brain. The man wasn't too burly, but heaven as a kid, a thirst for knowledge had consumed him. He mentally bookmarked the place, hoping to come back tonight after everyone had gone to sleep.

The king chuckled at Decthalia's question. He smirked and shook his head. "Unfortunately for me, all of the rumors going around are false. I have no prospects of a queen. So no, sadly I do not have any children yet" he informed her. It was a very fair question. He assumed that soon she would be shipped off to be wed to someone who could be her grandfather. Silas couldn't express how happy he was to be a man. At least he got to pick his bride.

Silas nodded in thanks as the guards opened the door to the dinning hall. He was immediately slapped in the face with increasingly smells. A true smile crossed his lips for a few moment before he let it slide down to a neutrally happy face. The entire hall was filled with aromas that could make you cry with joy.

Suddenly the large hall hall doors opened again and a beautiful girl stumbled in(almost like she had been pushed in). Silas noticed her beautiful hair was much like that of her older sister's. Or at least he assumed that this was the youngest princess. It took her a minute to recalibrate herself to the situation, but she soon came over to introduce herself. Once she had introduced herself, Silas bowed and said in his own soothing voice,"Hello, I am King Silas. And I assure you, the pleasure is all mine."

"Oh, do you ever wish to marry?" She asked him as they sat down at the table and waited for her sister to show up. The thought of marriage has been on Decthalia's mind for about two years now, since she was sixteen years old her father told her once she turns seventeen she will have to marry whoever her father presents in front of her. Decthalia didn't like the idea of having to marry a man she hardly knew, let alone a man who shows no interest in her except for her beauty and body. Decthalia was against the whole idea of having an arranged marriage be forced upon her and her sister. Being said that, her mother persuaded her father to give her another year to think it over and if she falls in love then thats the man she will marry but if she doesn't then she will marry with the man that he picks out for her. "I am sorry to ask," she tells him quickly seeing that for her it's a sensitive topic so she could only image what it would be like for him.

"Ah, well look what the cat dragged in. Vaelra, so nice of you to join us." Decthalia said as she stood up from where she was. "I thought it would be nice to have him stay with us for the night and join us for dinner." Decthalia informs her sister as she looks at her sister from head to toe, to see if she was doing anything in secret. She signaled for her sister to sit down. "Please have a seat." Decthalia kindly said with a warm smile on her face.
