Surprise! Were you expecting me?
So before I begin with the character sheets, I think I should first create the species sheets, since I plan to use new species. Here are the species sheets:
- Name: Rometaceans
- Affiliation: Galactic Alliance
- Appearance: The Rometaceans have red exoskeletons similar to those of crustaceans. They have six limbs total. Two of them end in large, claw-like hands. The other four are smaller and shorter and are used for walking. They also have sharp tails.
- Abilities: The Rometaceans are a warrior civilization. They are experienced in hand-to-hand combat, and due to their thick exoskeletons, they can resist normal attacks quite easily.
- Government: The Rometaceans have a monarchic rule over their home planet and colonies, where their leader is an Emperor or an Empress.
- Backstory: Before joining the Galactic Alliance, the Rometaceans were a powerful warrior species that used their military force to conquer several planets. They had won a reputation across the galaxy and were feared by other species. However, this all changed when they first encountered the Martians. The Martians were capable of not only defending their territory from the Rometaceans but also applied diplomacy. They became allies with the Rometaceans, having them join the Galactic Alliance. the Rometaceans don't conquer planets anymore, but instead, now use their military force to help the Galactic Alliance battle against the Planet Confederacy. They've changed from a conquest-minded civilization to a peacekeeping civilization. Their military power is still a force to be reckoned with, though.
- Other Info: The Rometaceans still have all the colonies they took over during their conquest days.
- Name: Zilonians
- Affiliation: Neither
- Appearance: The Zilonians have a long, snake-shaped body. They have four limbs, each limb with three fingers, one of them being an opposable thumb. They can walk on two or four legs. They usually walk on four legs to run or to sneak around, and walk on two legs for anything else. They can be up to 9-10 feet long. They have orange, slimy skin.
- Abilities: The Zilonians are very sneaky beings. Although their normal skin color is orange, they can also change their skin's color to camouflage into their surroundings. They're also very flexible, to the point where they can even twist their bodies like a constrictor snake. This proves to be helpful against smaller enemies.
- Government: The Zilonians barely have any form of government. Their planet is a chaotic place to live since the only form of order they actually have is a group of old Zilonians that act as a justice system. You could technically consider that small group of elder Zilonians as their government, but it's barely implemented as one. The chaos and disorder on their planet are caused by this almost complete anarchy.
- Backstory: Due to being in almost complete anarchy, the Zilonians have never made official alliances when any other species. Truth be told, most of them just love the chaos they experience daily. It's something natural to them. This isn't to say they've never encountered other species before. They certainly have, but this usually ends up in either trying to steal resources from them, or in just messing with them because they can. The other species tend to consider the Zilonians as a primitive and chaotic civilization, and usually just try to ignore them. Some civilizations have actually engaged in war against them, but these Zilonians are just too unpredictable, and war against them usually ends up costing others much more than they gain. The planet is a complete mess anyway, so for the most part, the other species just prefer to leave them alone, and avoid encountering them, since Zilonians are known to make a mess wherever they are.
- Other Info: Some Zilonians have left their home planet, sometimes finding a way to infiltrate spaceships from other species. This never ends well for either of them.
So with that out of the way, let's make some characters!
- Name: Rockwell
- Gender: Male
- Species: Human
- Age: 27
- Appearance: Rockwell wears a red shirt, with dark blue pants and black shoes. He has black hair, blue eyes, and is a bit taller than average.
- Personality: He's an adventurous and enthusiastic guy who joined the fleet very recently. He's very optimistic and a bit confident, and even though he sometimes fools around a bit, he knows when to take things seriously. He used to make robots, but he's now devastated by what has happened to them.
- Weapons & Skills: He's a technology expert. He's been fascinated by science since he was a child, and he's now one of the members of the fleet that specialized in technology, both the technology the fleet uses for their own benefits and the technology other civilizations use. He now creates small robots to help around with tasks as well. He keeps them to helpful assistants and doesn't make anything big or dangerous, knowing that they could get infected by the same virus as the Roborgs.
- Other Facts: He loves videogames.
- Name: Tarkos
- Gender: Male
- Species: Rometacean
- Age: 35
- Appearance: Tarkos is a large Rometacean. He has all the main features of a Rometacean. His exoskeleton is dark red, and he generally wears a black uniform with a golden symbol on the right side of the chest, meaning that he's the captain of his fleet.
- Personality: Tarkos is serious, level-headed and mature. He is very practical and is very efficient at his job. Loyal to his superiors, and caring to his subordinates, as well as a great strategist and a powerful warrior, Tarkos has gotten the reputation as one of the best captains in the entire Rometacean military force.
- Weapons & Skills: Besides the strength and endurance most Rometaceans have, Tarkos is very skilled with different kinds of weapons, both melee and ranged. He knows not only the Rometacean's weapons but also those of almost every other species they've encountered, so he's very versatile when it comes to weaponry. He's also very strategic. His exoskeleton has been specially enhanced to be very resistant to damage.
- Other Facts: He's had years of experience in war.
- Name: Zee
- Gender: Male
- Species: Zilonian
- Age: 363 (Zilonians live an average of 600 years)
- Appearance: Zork is a large Zilonian, even for their standards, being a whopping 10'7'' long. He has dark orange skin. His eyes are dark green, and he has a long tail.
- Personality: Zee is a space traveler, who doesn't have a clear goal or destiny. He just goes wherever the moment takes him. He's just as chaotic as the average Zilonian, causing trouble wherever he goes. He's a mischievous trickster and is generally playful towards whoever he messes with. He is also known to tell bad or unfunny jokes. However, despite all this, he can actually be quite a good friend if he's given the chance. Using his skills to help his allies, he might be worth the trouble he causes.
- Weapons & Skills: Besides the usual abilities his species has, such as camouflage, sneaking around and being very flexible, Zee also is pretty strong and smart. He can hold his own in combat, but he generally prefers using mischievous schemes to face his opponents. He can come up with all kinds of creative ideas to outsmart his foes.
- Other Facts: For some reason, he turns blue anytime he gets a cold. It's something that only happens to him. No other Zilonian does this.
Yup! AceaFire, meet my longtime friend, Red Fork! It's a surprise!!! I didn't expect you!
Yeah, let's go with that.Yup! AceaFire, meet my longtime friend, Red Fork!
Also, since Rockwell is gonna be part of Susan's fleet, he's gotta have a rank; maybe like some sort of Roboticist Lieutenant. Otherwise, the rest is approved!
The Novamarines
Name:
Novamarines
Affiliation:
Neither
Appearance:
The Novamarines are extremely human in appearance facial and body shapes wise originally thought to be the first set of human in space but in fact, they are completely different. As a species, they are made up of 90% augments and 10% organic material and are created not born. Their bodies come in various shapes and forms depending on what the Mother Ship requires at the time ranging from heavy troops consisting of extremely heavy and bulky armor to the shock troops consisting of a lightweight armor made for boarding ships from the exterior. As a species, all of them have a familiar logo a skull and wings.
Abilities:
As a species, their abilities heavily depend on what they have been created for but all of them have a few things in common.
The ability to survive in space without assistance.
The ability to scan and analyze objects.
The ability to survive orbital drops.
The big differences come from the Seven various "classes" that the mothership creates they are;
The Heavies:
The heavy infantry of the Novamarines made to take a beating these are the front liners for the Novamarines extremely heavily armored and made to take a beating these heavy units are often found as the first line of both offense and defense. Usually carrying heavy ordnance these warriors of death are a huge part of the Novamarines tactics
The Scouts:
The fast-moving lightly armored infantry of the Novamarines these troops usually don't see many battles but instead act as the eyes of the Novamarine fleet. With telescopic like eyes and the ability to relay information in an instant, the scouts are constantly looking for ways to avoid casualties while maximizing damage.
The Engineers:
A misleading name the Engineers have one job keeping the fleet running. The Engineers are the pilots and the heart of the Novamarine fleet ability wise they know the inside and outside of the Novamarine fleet being able to determine the cause and fix whatever problems occur within both the fleet and the Novamarine soldiers themselves.
The Commanders:
The ear's of the mothership these creations decide everything that happens on the Novamarine fleet and are military experts they are the tacticians of the fleet being able to plan and counter-plan much faster than any other of the classes their brains calculate plans and tactics as fast as information can get to them.
The "Cannon fodder" Core:
Brainless grunts, the core are nothing special and follow the will of the fleet to the word armed with whatever they are given the core and are the biggest group of Novamarine's and are simply used as the main force. Ability wise they have nothing special and are simply put made to fight and die. These, when compared to the rest of the Novamarine's, are 100% robotic.
The "Angels of Death" Shock Troopers:
The Novamarine's elite troops made for combat they are unique as they are detached from the Mothership and have 'free will' which often means they are the most unstable.. These troops are made to board ships from the exterior armed with light arms a Wing-pack and mag boots these troops are the Novamarine's cream of the crop. These troops specialize in shock and awe made to instill fear in any that come against them, combat specialist made to fight no matter the odds. Their main ability is to scan a situation, tag enemies and run scenarios through their head in rapid motion before picking one and performing it, they call this "Protocol execution".
The Civilians:
The lifeblood of the Novamarines these non-combatants do all the jobs the soldiers don't. They don't have anything special about them, however, should the need arrive the Mothership can send a software update to the civilians to turn them into makeshift Core troops. The civilians have mostly free will but that can be stripped from them in an instant.
Government:
Dictatorship owned by The "Mothership"
Other Info:
A Novamarine cannot die from old age as they can have a new body created for them however should they die in combat or by any other means they are completely destroyed.
In combat situations, the Novamarine's eyes glow red.
The Novamarines fleet consists of 25 ships with the mothership at the center. 14 of the ships are combat ships and 10 are civilian carriers.
The Combat ships hold up to 3000 troops, the Mothership holds up to 9000 and the civilian carriers hold up to 5000 each meaning in total the Novamarines have roughly a population of one million and are a very small species.
The Novamarines weaponry is very outdated, preferring to upgrade its units software rather than their weapons.
The Novamarines military breakdown is as such;
The Heavies: 30% (15100)
The Scouts: 15% (3650)
The Commanders: 5% (2550)
The Core: 49% (24990)
The Shock Troopers: 1% (510)
The Novamarines work as traveling mercenaries but only take payment in materials.

(So just one little thing I want to point out is that the whole idea of this species came from the picture I found for my character below.)
Name:
NM-148937/Veteran
Gender:
Male
Species:
Novamarines - Shock Trooper
Age:
419
Appearance:
View attachment 556189
Personality:
Veteran is usually expressionless and very rarely does he get surprised or enthusiastic; but whenever he does, it's often at the minimum level. Veteran is intelligent and analytical. His emotions are merely skewed in a certain direction, with one particular aspect becoming especially sensitive. Thanks to this, he can easily and quickly categorize people into two distinct groups, hostile and non-hostile. (Normal people see 3 types, hostile, neutral and friendly, but they have a hard time quickly determining who is a friend and who is an enemy since they aren't sensitive in this way). This certainly comes in handy for his mercenary life and anything related to conflicts (which is almost everything in his life). He doesn't possess the ability to hate nor can he feel any strong emotions like fury, fear, despair, envy, hatred, disgust, gluttony, lust, sloth, and love. Contrary to the perceptions of many, Veteran has emotions and can be kind and caring towards his friends; though he is often irritated by some of them as well. While he cannot feel lust, he can still feel aroused by the actions of people. He can also acknowledge the charms of males and females. He also worries about his reputation and has some sense of pride though he doesn't seek to attract attention.
He underestimates the merits of his own abilities and constantly looks down on himself, having difficulty accepting praise and grasping the meaning beneath indirect words of flirting. He has a bit of an inferiority complex, especially about ordinary things that others recognize or can handle well. He also has what her colleges call an 'unexpected flaw' in being quite slow in fathoming others' goodwill or attraction towards him, as he can only interpret them by logical explanation and often questions why people would think positively of himself.
In a nutshell, his lack of understanding and experience with emotions. Because Veteran has no memories of other feelings since childhood, he does not know how to respond to people when they are conveying their emotions to him, e.g. praising him for his personality or so forth. This leads to him feeling awkward, astonished, or clueless on how to properly reply. Usually, he can deal with the praise expressed due to tangible achievements; but when it comes to anything regarding himself personally, he suffers from inner turmoil of how to respond and may ignore the matter if he has the chance.
Weapons & Skills:
Dual superheated assault pistols:
A set of rapid-fire pistols that fire superheated round able to burn through metal specialized at being able to piece through materials.
A single hunting dagger.
Wing-pack:
A propulsion pack made for short distance space travel with each of the six wings containing a propulsion system allowing for a rapid highly mobile system.
"Protocol execution":
The special ability of the Novamarine Shock troops. The ability is to scan a situation, tag enemies and run scenarios through his head in rapid motion before picking one and performing it that's said it's not a perfect and can only run scenarios depending on what information he has.
Rank:
Private First class.
Other Facts:
He went rogue and broke away from the Mothership and got a position as a grunt onboard Susan's fleet.
He's been fighting for 400 years and is very well versed in combat.
He picked the name Veteran due to his combat experience and since NM-148937 is annoying to say in any species tongue.
Sheesh, is every race gonna challenge the Roborg??
So, in a nutshell, the Novamarines are a race of barely-cyborg warriors that, by my assumption, are just as interested in galactic conquest as the Roborg?
... Yeah, I'm not saying that I disapprove your race and character (In fact, they both sound awesome!), but I still want to make it clear that the Roborg are still the most technologically advanced machines in the galaxy. So, while I can allow the Novamarines being one of the few races being able to give the Roborg an actual challenge, the Roborg will come up with plans on how to deal with them, should they encounter a Novamarine fleet.
Kk. Both approved.Oh no no no The Novamarines aren't interested in galactic conquest they have no need for it, in fact, they are just a group of roaming mercenaries who are only interested in surviving and gather materials.
Oh and yeah the Novamarines are technologically advanced but the key point of them is that it's only focused on their unit's systems nothing else and by no means do I expect them to be on par with the Roborg.
she sounds great....and probably going to be the most annoying being for kalisI got a new idea, fresh of the think tank! This ought to be fun...! ^.^
I hope this gets across. This one is at least simple.
- Name: Bowe Magnolia
- Gender: Female
- Species: Human
- Age: 14 (mental age of 8)
- Appearance: Bowe is a girl with one hell of a small stature - below the average height and no signs of growing, at all. From top to bottom, she's rocking long, golden twin locks (all the way down to her knees) for her hair style, light purple eyes and a darker skin tone for key body features. Because of her age, puberty or anything like that is far out of her reach, but with that out of the way, her outfit consists of a light red hoodie with an orange shirt below it, with shorts of the same orange colour. Below that, striped socks in white and purple, and what appear be white-cyan space boots or something like that.
- Personality: Hide your fridges and hide your meats, this girl is a mad eater. Most of her personality is indeed controlled by a childlike nature with a ridiculous energy supply, obedience to those she trusts, and gullible at best responses to most situations, but this girl just LOVES to eat. However, despite all of this, Bowe is easily scared of practically anything that dares come close, and will result in a frantic counter-attack could she be pressured too much.
- Weapons & Skills: Bowe's weapon of choice is a high-tech chainsaw blade, which is exactly as it says on the tin. Picture a sword, except swap the blade on it for a chainsaw's blade instead (to scale with the hilt). This weapon of destruction can be revved up by a gear in the middle of the hilt, and when it is, it's powerful enough to practically rip anything open while in business. Though, while revved up, this comes at a loss of control, as Bowe has absolutely no idea how recoil works.
- Rank: Nope, but I intend for her to be found and join the group later on.
- Other Facts: Before Bowe would meet the team, she has a reputation of a 'monster that eats all who goes into their lair', and was used essentially as a garbage disposal for people. Don't want people around? Feed 'em to Bowe - she'll eat practically anything - people or otherwise! ...As long as it's edible, of course.
