Fandom Fate/Chaos: Stained Grail War

ValkyrieRose

Endless Witch

This is to remain blank until it's time for the RP to begin.

1. Maintain civility please, offensive language is fine when in character but anything beyond is a no-no.

2. All RPN rules apply, as they are comprehensive and necessary anyway.

3. Please post OOC in the OOC and not in the IC tab.

4. Killing other players can happen and might happen, so negotiate with other players first before agreeing to kill someone off.

5. Literacy. I do not expect some grand and awing prose, but endeavor to provide at least one or tow detailed paragraphs.

6. If you are to have an absence, please notify me beforehand so that we don't have to wonder where you went. i want at lease one post every 5 days. If no warning is given... well, this IS an RP where people can easily die....

7. Understand that your character is not the supreme master of all creation that utterly destroys everyone. In the case of servants this can happen as some servants are simply inherently stronger than others, but please do not abuse this. Additionally I will be banning servants I deem too powerful in the first place or at least placing restrictions on them.

8. Adhere to the above rules please. One infraction equates to a warning, another equates to a second warning, a third equates to being booted.

The night had grown full, not a cloud in the sky. As the silver haired beauty walked the night, a silent bloodlust filled the area. This serene, quiet night was almost too empty for those still walking. Women held tightly to their lovers, as if instinctively knowing what this night would bring. If that was the cse, Rosette commended humanity, they seemed to be becoming more aware of the potential terrors those her kind could wield. They were right to fear her- ants should always fear the gods capable of squashing them.

She neared the hill leading up to the Fuyuki Church, with three pwople in tow. Two of the people behind her were of little importance- mere humans she had seduced with her Mystic Eyes- little more than zombies at this point in time. They walked forward, keeping their gaze transfixed on their eternal Mistress as they did so. The third was a vampire servant, one of Rosette's favorite These three would provide the fodder she so needed.

They neared the entrance to the church, where the priest lie within. No doubt her prescense was undetected- her magic kept her body healthy enough to pass for human. Her servant would draw attention and a figt, however, but this didn't matter. With a silent command, the vampire rushed forward and into the church. Seconds after, the sounds of fighting could dbe heard from within.

Rosette then holds her hand out to one side, palm up, and one of the humans comes over to her. With a few pricks from Rosette's finger, blood begins to flow from the human. With a few words the blood began to rise upward, glowing with charged mana, It became almost crystal like as Rosette then grabbed them between her fingers. She then flicked them into the church and spoke another few words. There came a bright light and the sound of an explosion.

With a sadistic smile, she walked into the church. There, almost dead but not quite, was the priest. Her vampire lay behind him, unmoving, but Rosette could feel her energy slowly reforming... she would be fine soon. The priest, however, was on his last legs- her servant had held him and made him take the full front of the blast, and now he was completely bloody all over. “My... My...My....” She says, slowly walking forward. The two humans went further in the church, as per their mistress's order.

“I should have killed you when I had the chance.” The priest spat out. Rosette taps a finger to his legs, and they break, causing him even more pain.

“Yes, yes you should have...although that would have been quite the feat.” Rosette says with a smile. She places one finger on his torso, slowing tracing it upwards, and onto his arm.. As she did, her nail cut into the cloth, ripping it over to reveal several red marks- command spells from previous wars. “Ah, these beauties would have gone to waste with a pathetic human like you... don't worry, they'll be heading to a better home now. Try to savor this pain, if you can.” She advises. “From what my slaves tell me, there's no feeling quite similar to getting magic circuits ripped out... I assume the same would hold true for command spells.” She says, licking her lips.

She begins a simple spell, nullifying the prana around his arm to prevent spells from kicking in, then begins a spell. The priest begins howling in anguish, it increases in volume as one command spell disappears, reappearing on Rosette's hand. “Oh my, so much screams from just one? See, I KNEW you would provide me a source of amusement!” She says with a laugh.

Of the course of the next hour, the mix of screams and laughter continues. Every time the priest coes close to death, Rosette heals him enough that he'll survive long enough for her to pull out the rest. Just as a fun little bonus, she also ripped out all but a few of his magic circuis...these things were going to be useless shortly anyhow. “Thanks for the treat~.” She says, giving a thank you clap.

The priest lie there, spent but not dead- a few fragments of life within him still. With a huff, Rosette grabs him and drags him by the collar into the depths of the church. There, her servants were waiting, kneeling on the floor. This previous hour had been spent drawing a series of circles. The inner most one was easily recognizable as the servant summoning circle the grail used. The other two around it were of Rosette's own design. “Like it? It's rather beautiful, this Holy Grail set up.” She says.. “The hardest part was trying to figure out how I could get it to work. The summoning circles just a focus mechanism- the Grail handles the summoning itself, so I can't tamper with that in any way... however, the act of summoning a servant means that, for a short while, the spells is being conencted to by the Grail, and there's my short opening. If I can send enough mana back through that connection, i'll have direct access to the Greater Grail. Of course, that was just a theory... how does one even get enough mana to tackle something like that? Oh, but then I figured it out! The grail itself is going to help me! You're going to love this! Well... actually you won't. You're going to help power the spell so you're going to die but...ah, details!”

She throws the priest in the circle, then closes her eyes, tapping into her vast reserves, made even greater by the number of command spells she now held.

Silver and Iron is the origin. Chaos and blood is my cornerstone.

Let the black winds blow into a wall. Let the cardinal gates close, and let the three forked road of the kingdom rotate.

Let it be filled. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Shatter it once it's filled.

My command- You will give yourself to me. You will obey me, you will serve me.

My promise- From the evil's of hell and the source of all that exists in this world, our fate's become intertwined.

Now this was the moment when the summoning was almost complete. The servant hadn't yet taken form, but Rosette could already feel a link between herself and a coming spirit. T was at this moment that Rosette held her arm out, a command spell glowing.

Those who bring good are dead to me. Begone, ideal of good and guardian of balance.

The force of absolute control shift you back. Return to whence you came. Shove the gates open, let they master come forth. Crush all barriers, crush all forms of reason- your mistress has ordered you. You will obey Let the cardinal points inscrube the runs of chaos. You, who I have bidden, bound to my will, come. From balance comes power, and from that power comes servitude.

There was flash of light before the circle began to cackle with a darker light... Rosette knew that she had done it immediately. There comes an explosion of power anad light, and when it fades, a woman, clad in black and red armor, is kneeling on the ground. She is silent, taying there with her head bowed. Finally, she speaks. “You have called me, and I have come. I am she of the Ruler class, embodiment of the will of the grail. I will serve you, Master.”

Rosette took a breath- that had spent a lot of her mana. She motions for a human servant to come, and she bites down on her neck, draining her of blood and energy, until she is nothing but a lifeless corpse. “Good... come on then, pet. We have some chaos to cause.”.

"Let silver and steel be the essence...

Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation."

A male voice could be heard echoing through the forest.

In the outskirts of Fukyuki city, a blonde haired male stood by his lonesome. He was in a safe place, as he constantly checked to see if anyone else was here beforehand and even then, he was still in his element. The shadows from the numerous trees should be able to keep him safe should someone come. His emerald green eyes observed the magic circle he drew. The catalyst he used was placed inside of a black box in the center of the circle. He was able to get him self registered earlier in the day, and got himself registered. The boy was excited to join the war. He had heard stories of it from his father and couldn't wait to see what having a servant was like.

"Let green be the color I pay tribute to.

Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall.

Let the four cardinal gates close.

Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate.

Let it be filled! Again. Again. Again. Again.

Let it be filled fivefold for every turn, simply breaking asunder with every filling!!!"

A pillar of light appeared from the circle, and the male grinned, excited for the events that were to come.

Assassin stood in the middle of the circle, kneeling on the ground with a playful smile on her face and her hood covering most of her head except her mouth. "As per your summons, I am Servant Assassin. I ask you this, are you my Master?" She said. "Nice place you summoned me in though, I like forests." She added with a small chuckle as she looked around.

The male observed his new servant that appeared from the circle. She seemed like someone he could get along with."Yep, I'm your master. My name is Yukiteru Akiyama." He gave a friendly smile at Assassin. "I hope we can get along nicely."

Many years ago, when the Cold War was in it's last throes, a young homunculus stood in England. Her white hair fluttered in the wind as she approached a summoning circle and placed a blue and yellow sword's sheath on it, right in the center. She was alone, a child alone in the forests. A lake was nearby, said to be the home of the lady of the lake, Nimue. The girl kneeled and began the chant to summon the Servant Caster.

"Let Silver and Steel be of essence, let Stone..." she began. A flash of light. It was now the modern day, and Isaviel von Einzbern, that homunculus child, had grown close to Nimue over those twenty years waiting for the Grail War in Fuyuki to begin. Her crimson eyes fluttered open as she remembered meeting Nimue with a smile. Registration was already done, so first things first.

"Caster?" she called out with a cheery smile. "I'd like to discuss our plans for today." she added, demonstrating her plans for the day. She was dressed in white garments, designed to be warm as well as protective. A familiar of an owl was created previously, sitting on one of the mansion's spires to keep watch for anyone approaching the mansion.

She returned to this world twenty years ago. She had felt the summons, she understood why it was she was summoned. The moment she entered this world, the knowledge of modern day technology were given to her, as well as any vital information for the grail. When she first appeared, she opened her eyes to find a child staring back at her. This child, Isaveil... they spent the last two decades together. Nimue had watched her grow, she herself teaching her magic, raising her into a proper young woman. She had smiled back then- she reminded him of how Lancleot had been in his youth: Bright, Cheery, Youthful, Gallant. A model person for her time. It made her proud, being in Isaveils life for so long. She had come to think of her as her own daughter.

“Of course.” Nimue said, snapping back from her memories to watch her now. They look over a map of fuyuki- one that Nimue had spent the last decade memorizing. “We are here, in the forest. Luckily, it's close to a lake, so as i've said, run there if you get into trouble and go underwater.. Most servants won't be a ble to touch you. I will, of course, begin setting up my territory, now that it's finally time.” She says.

She looked out to the castle to look at it's newest addition- a moat she had created. She had spent the last month or so creating an aqueduct with her magic to form a large moat arounf the castle...deep as a Lake. It was at the edge of this moat where her barriers would begin. Anti-flight barriers, anti spirit barriers, anti familiar barriers, bounded fields to increase her power... all of this within her territory. They would be all but untouchable here. “What is it you want to do, dear?” She says, sitting down and sipping some wine she had purchased.

“Hey, Lancer... what exactly do we even know about all of this?” Aura asks, looking out from her apartment, situatied smack dap in the middle of the city. It was an apartment pretty high up, so she had a decent view of things. She was watching the crowds with her sniper-like vision, though for what, she wasn't sure.

It was only yesterday that she summoned Tomoe. There had been a little bit of an awkward moment, but she had quickly grown to her. She was very wise, especially for a solider, and Aura had spent the night bringing her up to speed on the state of the world. “I'm most likely the weakest master of the group... should we play defensily or try for a surprise attack? I have my sniiper rifle so I could provide a semi decent amount of support but... honestly, I'm not the best tactician.” she says

"I was thinking that maybe we can put up a few more barriers, and then we can play Sorry again!" Isaviel suggested as she ran over to the closet to go get the board game out so they could play it again. The owl observed their surroundings, giving a hoot to act like an actual owl. Nothing approached them. She climbed up onto a chair, laughing as she grabbed the game out of the closet and ran back over to Nimue with a smile, setting it down on a table to be played after they added more barriers.

"What kind do you think we should add next?" Isaviel asked. "We already got anti-flight, familiar, spirit..."

The rumble of stone and shriek of metal reverberated throughout the room as a pair of industrious golems laid out thin, intricate lines of a silvery liquid on the ground below. The constructs were massive, nearly twice the size of a human being, with large humanoid torsos, yet no head. They seemed to be made out of several panels and sections of stone, with various chinks and joints revealing a metallic structure deep within. After a few moments, a well-dressed man entered the room, wearing a form-fitting collared shirt and recently ironed slacks. As he did so, the room lit up, several ceiling-hung lights activating as if on cue.

The new line shone upon the area, revealing a host of similar creations, some of different sizes and designs, made to replicate different types of animals. A few chests lined the rocky wall, partially hidden by a tower of large crates. On the opposite wall, a large wooden table extended for almost a dozen feet, littered with papers, mechanics and miscellany. And in the middle of it all, a large runic-like circle, measuring a few feet in diameter. The two golems straightened up, stepping aside as their creator approached.

"Perfect, perfect! Now, let's see if this little scrap of wood was worth it." The man proclaimed, pulling a package from his pocket. He handed it to one of the large golems, who dutifully placed it midst the center of their labor.

He took a step forward, clearing his throat, and began his chant.

"Let silver and steel be the essence.

Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.

Let my master, Canas Cohen, be the ancestor.

Let a wall guard against the wind that shall fall.

Let the four cardinal gates close.

Let the the kingdom's thrice-forked road rotate.

Let it be filled. Again. Again. Again. Again.

Let it be filled fivefold for every turn, simply breaking asunder with every filling."

A slight moment of hesitation enveloped the man, for the circle had begun to glow, and a powerful force had since toppled a few of his lighter creations, rushing throughout the underground room.

"I declare to thee, thou shalt serve under me, and my fate shall lie with your sword!

Submit to the Grail's call, for I possess a divine goal!

If you will submit to my will, my reason, then come forth and answer!"

----

The samurai did not immediately reply. She was sitting nearby, a cup of tea in hand, and a dissatisfied expression upon her face as she tugged at the restrictive collar of her shirt. Modern clothes didn't agree with her.

"I do not know much about this world, save for what you and the Grail have told me." Tomoe said, looking towards her master. "Yet, war remains the same throughout time."

She stood up, approaching the window and giving the milling crowds below a glance. "I believe we should strike as soon as possible. It will show aggression, confidence. That you're not afraid to get dirty so soon, and that you have the resources to do so. Whether or not you actually are, or actually do, it will make you seem more formidable."

"Yet-" Tomoe holds a finger up, "A surprise attack will not work twice. We must be careful about attacking before we're ready."

"..." Assassin remained silent for a few moments. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again in order to think about her next words a bit more. This went on, she repeated her actions in her own pace, seemingly doubting the validity of her words and the possible consequences of her action. Finally she gathered enough courage and said what she had been planning to say.

"What now?"

Those two words said it all. She wanted to know their next course of actiher on. Attack or play defensively, ally with another master or solo the entire war. Preemptive strike, which she was preferring, or honorable combat. She looked to her Master for the answers that were buzzing around in her head. She fingered her bow in anticipation for anything that her Master could say. She was just hoping that her Master's reply isn't awkward silence.

Nimue smiles- isaviel is still a little kid on the inside, but that was alriht. These days of playing games, both board and video, were precious to her. She closes her eyes, thinking about what else they could possibly add. “ We can't close off the area too much- I need to use my magic still. I'll work on a bounded field to slowly sap the mana of unpermitted visitors. I could then store it for our use.. yes, I think I'll do that.”

“Ah, you always beat me at this game.” She says with a laugh, helping Isaveil set it up. Truthfully, things like this were amazing to her... new games, new things to do, Nimue enjoye everything this new world had to offer. If she could stay and play with Isaveil forever, she'd be happy. “I shall endeavor to do what I can to best you, however.” She laughs.

“A show of force then...Yes, I Can see the point in that.” Aura said, lowering her head to think about it. You saw stuff like that in Anime all the time... even something like that made enemies back off. “The first step then should be to locate someone, preferably those in combat, so we could follow them from a distance. I'd like to enter a fight in prograss... It would be best for us both, I would think.” she says, looking at a map of the city.

“Come to think of it, your Noble Phantasm... You don't have much prana, right? You're free to take as much as you want from me.” She says with a nod. “We don't have to charge in right away after all. Just leave me enough to function properly.” he says

"Um..." Yuki's mind was blank. He didn't really think of a strategy beforehand, as he was too excited to think straight because of being selected for the Holy Grail War. He wasn't a great planner anyway, as he was really just the type of person who come up with things on the fly instead of thinking ahead. He stood there for a good ten seconds before saying something.

"I'm hungry... Wait, what were we talking about?"

Despite coming from a clan of powerful magus, Yukiteru was not the sharpest tool in the shed. He never really payed attention to anything and his head was usually in the clouds. He scratched his head lightly before speaking again.

"Oh, you want our plan for the war? Well, I guess we could team up with another pair and just ambush a bunch of people. That's usually where how my abilities shine brightest, and since you're an assassin, that should be your shtick too, right?" He suggested, smiling sheepishly.

"You would be right in your assessment if I was just any regular Assassin." She asked him with a slightly nervous look on her hood covered face. 'Did I get stuck with a Master who doesn't know what he's doing?' She asked herself as she started to stand and patted the dirt off her knee. "I agree on teaming up with someone because I am more of a ranged fighter. But surely you would know where some of the Masters are right?" She added.

She sighed and pulled her hood off. "You can eat later. Right now you need a base. Now, the way I see it you can go make your own or ally ourselves with a Master so we have a safe place to stay." She gave him a look. "Provided that you can find a Master and figure out a way to approach him or her without him or her attacking you on the spot." She added before taking a deep breath.

"Sorry about what I'm saying but this is war now, we, especially you, have to get serious. Meaning you have to pay attention, focus, and not let your mind wander, are you getting me?" She said before crossing her arms and huffing.

The sun shone brightly that day, a tell of the Knight of the Sun's emergence into the material world. King Arthur's nephew, a formidable man whom grew stronger as the light inside the bar ignited. Flames traced the outline of the summoning circle, tracing it until the circle was formed of flames, then suddenly blew out. A male dressed in European-styled armor stood before him. A gentle pulse of light came from the knight's sword, the only illumination in the now dark room. Platinum-blond hair settled against his forehead, and green eyes gazed at the magus and the golems before him. The male leaned over and picked up the fragment of wood, glaring down at it before sighing in reminiscence.

"Arturia..." the male mumbled before looking back to the magus before him. "I ask of you, magus. Are you my master, the man who summoned me into this world?" he asked. "If you are, then I shall be your sword, so we may together achieve the goal of getting the Holy Grail.

"Don't worry Caster! I'm sure you'll win this time!" Isaviel squeaked with a smile. Oh, how she hated addressing Caster by her class name. She had an actual name, she'd much rather use that. She gave a quick, permissive nod in response to Nimue's idea, her attention more absorbed with setting up the board game. The mansion, foreboding and dark, contrasting the two women inside, a kind, motherly figure and a cheerful, bubbly child. If they could stay together forever, it would truly be wonderful. A wonderful, wonderful life.

@Metaphysics

"Yeah. Sorry about that, I tend to drift off from time to time. I'll try and keep focused from now on." Yuki nodded, not losing his cheery demeanor. "So since you're on board with teaming up with another group, we need to find a way to locate another Master and Servant." He placed his hand in the pockets of his jacket and continued talking. "I've been trained by my father to be able to take a small glimpse into the future. Though i can only use this ability so many times. It wont tell me much, like the exact current location of the enemy's hideout, but it should be able give me a hint as to where i should be able to cross paths with another Master in the near future." He explained in an upbeat tone of voice. "Will that be fine?"

"Very good then, let the war begin...Master." Assassin then fades away.

"This'll be fun." Yuki mused as he walked off to find a quieter place.

"Finding a 'fight in progress' might be difficult, Master. Many of our enemies would likely do the same, preferring to hide and wait." Tomoe glanced down towards her master, a hard look entering her gaze.

"Find me an enemy. We will be the first fight of the War, we will have the attention of all other Masters, and they will fear us, no matter the outcome."

Though, at Aura's second comment, the samurai sighed, leaning on the wall. "True, I hardly have any... though I don't think I will be needing to drain you, Master. I can function quite fine without a Phantasm. I did so when I was alive, after all." She paused, letting her naginata materialize within her hands. "Regardless, for every strike I land, I only grow stronger. I can fight endlessly so long as I maintain the upper hand."

The flames washed past Abdiel, singing the edge of his clothes, forcing him to take a small step back. When the force subsided, Abdiel looked towards the new arrival, giving him an analytical once-over. Strong, beautiful armor, dignified stature, fair hair and skin. Then, he glanced down towards the knight's sword, illuminating the dark basement.

Abdiel fixed his tie, standing straight, giving a small smile. "Does it look like any of my constructs here could have done so? If so, I appreciate the compliment. I work rather hard on them." He raised his arm, displaying the command seal engraved upon the back of his hand. "But no, I am responsible for your summoning."

Letting his hand fall, slipping into a pocket, Abdiel paused. He didn't know much about Arthurian legend, but it could very well be possible... the knight in front of him had the gallant looks, the exquisite sword and armor. It even seemed like the man stood with a regal bearing. "Now, I ask of you, hero... are you King Arthur?"

His heart thudded in his chest. He could clearly see how powerful the being in front of him was. And if that weapon he carried was the holy sword Excalibur, then the war was already won.

"I see, you want to be the first in the fight." Aura says, looking out with a solemn expression. "Then I guess the only thing to it is to go out there and make our precense known." She says, puling out her sniper rifle and strapping it onto her back. She knew enough magic to conceal it, so it wouldn't be too much of an issue, hopefully. "I can go hide from pretty far away and snipe but... if we do this, you'll need all the ana you can get for your noble phantasm... are you sure you don't want any of ine? It's really no issue." She says.

She takes a breath, preparing bullets with magical energy, readying herself mentally. She was preparing to be the only real human in a battle to the death between monsters. What she lackedin magical knowledge, she had to make up for in will to live and survive, and the ability to outsmart the opponet. Perhaps she could do it, but she didn't hold any high uops. Once again, she cursed her fate of not learning anything from her family... but she had a plan to rememdy that, if they could survive for a little bit. "If not, then let's get moving. Go ahead of me and choose a location, I'll pick an approiate spot."

--

Nimue smiled, enjoying the game. She lost of course, but she was fine with that. It was fun just playing with her beloved child. After a few more rounds, Nimue got up and stretched, going to look over the castle walls. and out into the forest, then to the sky, the darkness of night slowly creeping out. "There was always the greatest view from Camelot. When I looked out, I saw a city with untold potential. People were actually helping each other out in the name of chivalry, Jousting from down below and beond the walls, a rich landscape. It feels strange being so far away from all of that, but I've expanded my world, just a little bit." She says, then looks up. "At the very least, the moon is the same. I always worked under the moonlight, it gave me a source of inspiration. That's why Arturia was said to have aspects of the moon- Excalibur and Avalon were forged under it." Se explains.

She looks over, doing a small twirl and chanting a few words, repeating them over and over. This was Nimue's master plan to win the war without ever having to step foot out of the castle. E very day, when ever she had a few minutes, she would do this,, causing water far away in the ocean to begin to slowly condense and rise, traveling towards her... a deluge unlike any seen in the last millenia. With free control of the water, she could act everywhere at once. A true checkmate in every sense of the word.

Of course, such a storm was hard to time, so even Nimue had to precisely time everything from the storms arrival to the amount of mana placed in the storm... too much and it would be easily sensed by others, too little and she wouldnt ave as much control. The storm was due to arrive in a few days, if she timed it right... she just had to wait until then. She looked to Isaveil, smiling and patting her head. "What next, dear?"

@ValkyrieRose

"How about some breakfast?" Isaviel questioned. Although, it would probably be better called a lunch at this late hour. It was almost noon. She blinked, watching Nimue do her little dance twirl, which Isaviel tried to imitate...with horrible success, almost immediately falling onto her bum. Graceful as a bird. *WHUMP* With catlike tread... *THUMP* Isaviel seemed sad at her inability to do the dance, then looked up at Nimue for her opinion on some grub.

"I would be honored to be Arturia, but alas, I am not. He has no connection to the flames and the sun. I am Sir Gawain, Knight of the Round Table." Gawain introduced himself, kneeling on one knee to his current master. "Together, as comrades, we will achieve the Grail." he spoke with a smile. Yes, the Grail can save Arturia. All because of that damn Lancelot's betrayal! Had he not betrayed Arturia and ran off with Guinevere, Mordred wouldn't had taken over in the resulting chaos! He would stand back up after his Master gave his greetings, where a scrap of green would be momentarily seen under the armor.

"You know, I'd do the whole 'tap the shoulder, I dub thee Sir something or other' thing, but I don't exactly have a sword. Nor am I royalty." Abdiel said with a small grin, motioning for Gawain to rise. With a snap, multiple candles mounted on walls and tables lit up, boasting bright, almost perfectly-white flames to dispatch the darkness.

"So, I don't know how much you know, but we're in Fuyuki city, Japan. Year's 2005, if you'd rather remain in a physical form, I'd ditch the armor and sword. It's a bit far off to be Halloween." He recited, bringing his hands together as he gave the impromptu briefing. "We are in the basement of one of those single-floored, old-style houses. Can't remember the word for it in Japanese."

Abdiel strode away from the circle, heading for a small, rickety set of stairs nearby. "Ah, come on, I'm feeling a walk and we can talk as we go. Besides, I was already stuck in this damn coffin for a few hours already making sure the summoning went right, and I'd imagine being dead for a while would give you a desire to see some fresh air, yeah?"

Definitely a tad eccentric.

Tomoe gave a nod, fading from view. "Call for me if you encounter trouble." She said, her voice directly whispering into Aura's mind. Free from physical constraints, the servant shot from Aura's apartment, coursing through the city. She passed busy suits, children playing in parks, men and women haggling in stores over prices. It was all so different. So eerie. What, with these gigantic buildings made of metal and stone, these vehicles that roared like fearsome creatures as they passed.

It was almost humbling. Nothing made your life's efforts seem so trivial as catching a glimpse hundreds of years into the future.

The warrior made a beeline for the big bridge. It had no other name as far as she knew, and was a multi-lane bridge that connected two highways from opposite ends of the city. It was situated right in the middle of Fuyuki, and it would be the perfect place to start. Of course, it wasn't extremely tall, so Tomoe climbed one of the nearby skyscrapers. It would give her the range to protect Aura from a distance if she needed.

"Master? Hurry to the bridge. I will wait for you here, see if I can't find a servant before we truly announce ourselves."
Tomoe manifested, her tall form visible atop the roof, bow in hand. Archery wasn't her forte as a Lancer, but she'd wager she could outshoot any proper Archer the war summoned. She scanned the city below with keen eyes, turning back every once in a while to monitor her own Master's progress.

Nimue smiles at Isaveil's attempt to mimic her. "YOu aren't feeling the motion right. You have to flow with the movements. You ARE the water, forcing it upwards in a flowing cycle." She says, helping her up. "Only those that have a true understanding of what the water is, and what magic is, can pull something like this off. That is why I won't lose easily." She says. She twirls her hand, water appearing fro nowhere and creates a rose, freezing it and places it in her hair.

"A meal sounds divine." She says, going into the chicken. "I'll take whatever you want as a special treat." She laughs.mm alreay making a pot of water boil. "Water is the ultimate elemnt as it can be paired with anything... it could be said that if you can control water, you control the other four elements to an extent. You can ignite it to create a scalding steam. You can have water evaporate into the wind, you can shape the earth with it, changing the landscape how you please." She says. "A source of life and a bringer of death ... "

She pulls out some meat and begins cutting you. "Isaveil...I've come to think of you as a daughter, as a best friend, and even like a sister." She laughs. "I'm proud of you, no matter what." She says

Aura waited for Tomoe to decide on her location, blending into the crowd. Aura was good at concelaing her prescense... it's the only reason she hasn't gotten ambushed by her sister, or other mages seeking a power but untrained magus. She was fairly certain she wouldn't be found out just from walking the streets. She kept her head down, making sure to watch through windows for signs of people trailing her.

After a while, Tomoe selected the bridge as their point of fiht, and she shifts to adjsut her route without making it obvious, arriving an hour later. "I can set up sop here i suppose..." She says.

Gawain nodded in complete understanding. He knew he had been summoned into the Holy Grail War, so hiding his identity was of essence. If he appeared normal, perhaps everyone else would see him as normal. Then it would be easier to sneak around. The male's body glowed for a moment from the chin down, and his armor and sword was replaced by a brown vest over a tan shirt, accompanied by brown pants. Instead of the usual brown belt though, he wore a belt of green.

"Is this adequate, Master?" Gawain asked, not making any further comment on the male's attempt at humor. It was incredibly likely Gawain simply didn't recognize it as such.

Isaviel nodded, wishing that she had such a great understanding of the watery sea like Nimue did. Perhaps...maybe Nimue could teach her? She nodded excitedly at Nimue's great lecture at the powers of water, and was actually very invested in it. Thank goodness that both Master and Servant get a wish (to my memory), as one of them can wish for the two to be together forever. It'd probably be Isaviel, much to the frustration of the Einzbern family.

"How about...takoyaki?" Isaviel suggested with a smile. Of course. The same thing they've had the past WEEK. As they were cooking and Nimue gave Isaviel her compliment, the homunculus' face felt very warm, joyous that whom was essentially her mother was so proud of her. It was to the point where Isaviel set down the utensils, waited until Nimue wasn't carrying anything threatening and then gave her Servant a thankful hug. "You took care of me all this time, Caster." she replied cheerfully. "Even if we don't win, I'll still be proud of you for making it past the first night of the war with me." she added.

Tomoe shifted towards Aura, materializing next to her master, same bow in hand. The sun had began to drop, washing the world in a brilliant shade of orange. It would soon be night, and the vultures that call themselves magi would emerge from their holes, ready for the Grail War to truly, finally begin.

The samurai had a good feeling. No, a great one, a great feeling for what was to come. She knew such optimism could be dangerous, she wasn't foolish. Yet, she felt as if she were about to ride into battle again next to Yoshinaka and Kanehira once more, though she knew they were no longer with her.

She wasn't going to fail again.

"Is everything alright?" Tomoe asked, "You don't sound exactly overjoyed with this, Master."

"Takoyaki again, is it?" She laughs. "You need to balance out your diet with some vegtables." She said, but begins to make it anyway. "It's best to have mash of proteins in your system in order to become stronger, so you're having spinach too" She says. "With the war starting, I wonder if people will think to come here. A castle in the forest is a very good sport after all." She says, half wondering if she needed to expect visitors.

---

"...Sorry." Aura said, looking out. "What person would want to fwillingly fight others to the death... knowing that you're at a horrible disadvantage." She said. "I a the weakest aster here, of that I have no doubt. If i could find some more books on magic i could learn more..." She says.

"But still, knowing this, how can I take down seven others that are stronger than me ina lmost everyway?"

"The same kind of person who wins wars, unites their country, or performs a miraculous deed. The same kind of person who lives on in name and legend for hundreds of years to come." Tomoe said, looking down towards Aura.

"The same kind of person, who, instead of lamenting whatever weakness ails them, seek instead to fix or compensate for it. If you are not great with magic, find a way to make up for that disadvantage. Climb to your opponent's level, and while you do so, strip them of their strength, and send them tumbling down to where you once stood."

Tomoe paused after her brief lecture, giving a small, irritated sigh. It was likely Aura would have no idea what the samurai was talking about. Most children didn't have a warrior's wisdom, and wouldn't understand the subtlety used with formerly-common proverbs. "Simply put... find these tomes to learn from and grow stronger. Then find a way to cripple or disable your opponent's magic, for they likely rely upon it more than you, and would be more vulnerable as a result."

@ValkyrieRose

"Hnn, I don't think that people'll come here first. Everyone's rushing to go hunt each other down, aren't they? They'll run into eachother first before they ever find us, with any luck." She commented, leaning over the stove to look at Nimue to make sure she was listening, even though she knew she was. "So, we can just sit here and have fun while they kill each other!" she finished with a grin, her serenity and joy awfully dissonant with what she just said.
