I like Extra

Extra is great. I feel like extella just flanderises the heck out of nero. Past extra, she just seems...weird.

And ccc has YA BOII GIRRUGAMESH.

Extella is okay. The Tamamo and Altera stories are decent, but they market the hell out of Nero.

In any case, here's why I really prefer Caster as a character over Saber and all the other girls.

Her initial appearance in Extella has her try to pull a fast one over you, then after it doesnt work, she just drops all the facade and glomps Hakuno. Far cry from Nero's standard as all heck god complex and kinda weirdly lovey dovey stand.

In Extra, when you first gain your Servant, both Archer and Saber will ask you if you are their master. Answering no will either have you get a nice game over as Archer ditches your ass, or Saber scowling and asking you again. Caster doesnt give a shit. She just drags you back up to your feet and jumps into the ensuing battle.

Nero falls flat in a lot of character defining moments, and she is played out awfully straight, while Tamamo speaks in rapid Japanese, mixes in the occasional English and English-japanese portmanteaus, which immediately endeared me to the character. Reminded me sorta of the best Joestar. Her occasional bursts of eccentrics and unabashed love and closeness to her Master is also more tolerable than Nero's odd brand of tsundere.

Idk, she just seems more memorable than Nero. Her strange playstyle in Extra was also extremely fun, no matter how difficult it was. That and the fact they kept her POLYGAMIST CASTRATION FIST as an attack in both CCC and Extella. And up until now, I haven't really struck a chord with any of the other female characters, besides for Nameless' snarky jabs, and I just like how she's written and played.

And exactly like Joseph Joestar, Caster gets a spotlight exactly once, and then fades out of it forever, with the exception of one appearance here and there.
