The darkness seemed to take hold of Midori, dragging her away with it as it was pushed back. It was clearly intent on taking Midori away from herself, as though trying to take over, even after it's lost. Midori struggles against the darkness, but only slowed it down a little.

She lifted her eyelids, catching a glimpse of him disappearing down the hall , before turning her attention to the floor, causing her hues to widen and began to glisten and water.

Midori could hear Elizabeth, but she couldn't go to the voice, the darkness overwhelming. She pulls one of her arms free, using it to get the rest of her body free. She landed on the fround, a small area around her clearing out, her just barely safe at the moment.

"I-I'm fine... Just... another experience... like usual..." She was crying as we'll, but not from the nightmare. She was crying because she was happy, having her mother there for the first time in her life, pushing thoughts of how she herself was the reason she lost that love and not her mother's fault. She didn't care about anything but the warm hug of her mother.

Moving slowly, Shade tilted her head to look at the building she'd come upon in her wandering. It was odd stuck out here in the middle of nowhere. Sniffing the air, she tapped into the wilder part of her trying to detect potential problems. Her head turned back to its regular position as she listened to the whisper of the breeze move around the building. She detected no sign of a large being and so assumed she was alone. The students that she would probably meet out here were going to be nothing compared to her friends back home and so she worried not about one of them being a danger to her well-being. Those friends of her's happened to be, well wolves.

Stepping to the door, Shade pushed lightly and feeling a slight resistance to her push, stepped back. Grinning, she rushed the door and kicked it. The door flew open and she waltzed through, her long black hair swaying behind her. Her darker, more true demeanor was coming out. Alone, she could be the pampered warrior princess she was meant to be. Around others for the time being, she had to restrain herself. She would try not to be friendly with anyone. That would be easy. Keeping her head down and her name unknown would probably cause some...curiosity from others. Silently, she walked through the building, her eyes tracking every ceiling and every window. Shade soon found herself standing in front of a window, musing about the events that had brought her to this out of the way place.

Only two days before she'd been dropped off at this school by her best friend, Frost. Shade suddenly wondered if he missed her as much as she missed him or if he was too busy to even think about her. He couldn't be there with her, as he was a completely different species and could only speak to her. Sadly, she understood and yet hated this circumstance. She'd have been a lot better off not having to try to fit into yet another school on her own. Shade really wasn't good with people in general, but that was okay with her. Turning from the window, she wandered down the stairs to the main floor, her feet silent on the floor. (Sorry, I have no idea what this building looks like >.<)

Elizabeth smiles weakly. "Everything is going to be alright from now on, I will make sure of it." She says, still crying.

Luna remained standing in the hall, restraining herself from any further emotional standings. After a while, two white objects perched atop her head began to swivel, reacting to the sound of approaching footsteps. Realizing this, Luna sniffed the air, momentarily catching a sense as to who the person was. A newcomer? Or ones she's already met.

Shade strode through the hallway, footsteps silently and black hair flowing behind her like water. It moved freely today, not in it's usual complicated braid. The shifter's thick hair covered her pointed ears from view. She paused, raising her head and glancing around with silver eyes. New scents were being directed towards her and she was curious to find out who made them. The tiniest of smirks played with the tips of her lips.

Tao got up from the bench and walked to Elizabeth's house. She still hadn't discussed the full details of what happened to her and she needed Elizabeth's advice. She walked to the front door and knocked.

Luna remained calm, not budging from her current position. Having not caught the slightest interest in the newly arranged sent, she allowed her ears to bury themselves back within her strands of silver hair, blending in quite well due to the color. Her arms remained crossed firmly across her chest, simply awaiting his return to the classroom before the bell rung.

"shhhh." Zero reaches from behind luna, putting a hand on her mouth and blends into the nearest shadow, completely disappearing. "what's happening?"

Jax shrugs. "She might be asleep for a while." He says as he walks outside, leaving the door open just a crack. "She's had a rough day, although, you were there, weren't you?"

There was just something about these strange halls that the young elf enjoyed. She walked into said classroom with a faint skip to her step, her black heeled boots clicking lightly on the floor as she smiled to herself, a small pencil bag and semi-large sketchpad beneath one arm. Her gaze danced around the room as she tried to decide where to perch and sketch before her eyes danced up to the ceiling where the rafters were exposed and beckoning to her. What better place to sketch where no one could disturb her? With a flick of her wrist, two bat-like wings appeared on her back. The faint flutter of her wings intensified, working over time, before with three powerful down strokes she leaped lightly into the air, and hovered before angling up and to the ceiling, her wings moving quickly to produce an updraft, as she glided over to the rafter. Landing lightly (on the tip of her toes to be exact) she touched down on the wood, before letting her heels down and the wings disappeared. She walked to a corner, before sitting down, her legs dangling over the side. Her back was against a corner beam and her hair was dangling against her face.

Finally situated the elf opened her sketch book, propping it up on her lap, and unzipped her pencil case bag. Selecting a medium sketching pencil, she began to sketch, mostly from memory. An image began to take shape there on the paper, first wide, expressive eyes, then dainty canines, ears erect and hairy. The snout sloping and long, fur coating the canine's face. She continued to sketch her faithful companion, her beloved wolf friend that was back in the wood. The female continued to work, keeping herself entertained and away from the other inhabitants of the school, working hard on the image until she'd gotten every detail right. Signing it, as she did all her work, with her name 'Rikuma' and a small set of dragonic-like wings to the lower right hand corner of the m, she flipped the page, and with a heavy sigh began to work on the project Frost had given to her 'create an image of the most precious thing you've ever lost' before she left to keep herself busy.

She'd been working on it for nearly two weeks straight now, having to take it in small sections to keep from being overloaded. But this wasn't just an assignment to Shade, no . . . this was a memorial. She looked down at the half completed face on the image, the familiar twinkling eyes, the half grin that spoke of a shared secret. She grabbed a darker sketching pencil, working in the black hair of the man in the image, her free hand reaching up to twirl a blue jewel she wore on a necklace around her neck. A heavy sigh flitted from her lips, as she kept working, drawing in the half tussled, messy black hair of the face that had been more familiar to her then her own. She drew it long, as that had been how he'd preferred it, hanging in his eyes, but never long enough to brush down past his ears. Next she went in, added the final touches to the sparkle in his eyes, shaping the cheekbones on his finely chiseled face, the faint hint of a stubble on his chin, her fingers remembering the exact texture as if he was sitting next to her. She could almost hear his playful, teasing complaints. You're making me to boyish, Rik! Make me look more manly!

She brushed back a strand of her dark hair, hefting out another deep sigh, drawing the lines of strong shoulders, working in the detail of the leather collar-styled necklace he'd worn. The one she had made for him back when they were younger, only best friends. She choked back a tear, finally having to shut the page and lean back, eyes closed. She counted slowly to ten. One. Two. He was gone, but she needed to do this, needed to capture him one more time Five. Six It was just an image no need to get worked up for Eight. God . . . . though . . . oh, how she missed him Ten. She took a heavy breath before opening her eyes and just staring into space. She wouldn't be able to work on the image again for another few hours, not unless she wanted to burst into tears. But . . . while it was slow going, she needed to do it. She needed to. She touched the jewel one last time before lowering her hand. She hoped no one would see her like this.

Jax shudders a bit. "Dark energy, corruption, evil, it has many names. At least it didn't finish the process or..." He trails off, afraid to even think about it.

Jax gave a surprised look, just now noticing that the dark energy had spread. "Tao, what happened? Did Elizabeth cause that?" He asks nervously.

Jax looks a bit scared and hopes that that doesn't happen. "Anyway, what did you want to ask Elizabeth about?" He asks, trying to change the subject.
