Everyone's fighting some battle of their own.
Luness eyed Kallin worriedly, his tone and statement only worrying her further. He clearly needed to rest and catch his breath.
Yet, Ward suddenly shouted over the crowd, surprising Luness and taking her attention away from Kallin in the moment.
Listening to everything Ward said, Luness was even more so surprised that the gem in King Cedric's sword held such power. How could one measly gem determine such a thing? Magic was so unusual sometimes.
Still, what Ward said was true, as not too long after he grabbed the sword, it suddenly blinded everyone in the room with a blinding flash, leaving Luness growling, as it affected her more so than some other people. Enhanced senses could really be detrimental sometimes.
Hearing a commotion nearby and then a female tone, Luness felt her heart skip a beat, as she instantly recognized that someone was up to no good. Problem was, she couldn't see anything yet.
Furiously blinking to try and bring back her vision, Luness finally was able to see blurry picture just as the woman threw Ward out of a window and into the garden just beyond.
Gasping in surprise at such actions, Luness wasted no time in dropping to all fours, again hating her dress for its lack of mobility, as she sprinted after the woman.
Her vision was still blurry and so Luness bumped into a few guests along the way until she was suddenly airborne and sailing straight through the window after the evil queen, fully intent on surprising her and tackling her to the ground. After all, who would expect a werecat in a dress to come flying through a window after them?

Leandra was relieved when she finally heard Leo saying he was all right and swiveled her head to see his paw sticking up just beyond the edge of the stage.
Rushing over to him, Leandra jumped over his body and off of the stage before turning around and looking him over. He had definitely hit his head from the way he was speaking. Probably a concussion, too.
Wasting no time, Leandra put her hand on Leo's forehead and closed her eyes, her palm glowing for a moment, as her healing rushed over him and soothed any and all wounds he'd sustained. Luckily, there hadn't been many and the concussion hadn't taken much energy for Leandra to heal. Perhaps her healing was getting stronger now.
Suddenly hearing Ward shouting over the crowd, Leandra stayed by Leo's side, as she listened to everything Ward said and watched as he took the king;s sword. Knowing he was truly the heir, Leandra covered her eyes in anticipation of whatever the gem may do, so she was shielded from the blinding light when it shone.
The moment the duke began shouting in an odd tone, Leandra was on edge and standing once more, as she nervously watched him.
Yet, there was nothing Leandra could do when the duke was revealed to be the evil queen and she nearly choked Ward to death before Leandra could sprint over in time to stop her, as Ward was soon flying through a window and the queen was going after him.
Watching Luness fly through the window with ease by simply jumping through it, Leandra sighed and turned around to ask Brenna, who was nearby, "Care to give me a lift, Brenna?"
At the very least, Leandra could possibly trip the queen with her staff or maybe land a lucky shot to the head and knock her unconscious. Who knows?
While waiting, Leandra subconsciously itched at her back, scowling at the irritation in such a moment. She really didn't need to deal with such a thing right now. Honestly.
Yet, just after asking Brenna this, Leandra heard Otto barking furiously nearby and glanced over to see him making a ruckus about someone acting all shady and such. They really didn't have time for this though. Ward was in real danger right now and so he was their main focus. Not whoever that person was.
