I'm good here as well, just been both busy and distracted. Should have more free time this next week.

Yes, Ijara can summon during the journey. As for the remaining length, I don't really have a clear number in my head right now, but I'm thinking a couple of days more. Why?

Just thinking about how much summoning. I'll have to double check, but I'd assume one ritual per day was a reasonable limit. I was trying to sort out whether I could get to a Size 1 battlegroup of Garda Birds 😄.

I fear the necessary amount of dice rolling and calculations is going to wreak havoc on my brain, but I say to hell with it, and go ahead.

For Summoning, again we have:
Force 4 + Sagacity 5 + Excellency 5 + Teamwork 5 + Stunt 2 = 21 dice [2 of which must be successes from Destiny, so really 19 dice] + 2 Teamwork Successes (Fabian researches elementals)
Rolled 4 times

For Recruiting we have:
Force 4 + War 4 + Teamwork 5 + Stunt 2 = 15 dice [1 of which must be a success from Destiny, so 14 dice] + 2 Teamwork Successes (Fabian researches the details on the captains who must be convinced)
Rolled 3 times. On one roll she will, by consulting the future with her Hearthstone, use Sagacity 5 + Sagacity Excellency instead of War 4.

If only you could spoiler tag dice rolls 😅.

Results for Summoning:
14 hits
6 hits
15 hits
17 hits

Results for Recruiting:
15 hits
15 hits
9 hits

So just to clarify, are you looking to summon more Garda Birds?

Also, I can't find anything named Fortuitous Fellowship within the Corebook.

Yes, Fortuitous Fellowship is from Crumplepunch's Sidereal modes list. Crumplepunch was one of the authors on the 3e Sidereals book, but it's homebrew. Let me know if you want to veto it.

I'm undecided on exactly what to summon. I could summon a second Garda Bird, or maybe an Earth elemental to help searching for a buried airship/contacting local earth courts. I'm not sure if we need a water elemental. I'm open to suggestions, and might do a bit of research on particularly fun elementals.

Edit: Sorry, the base charm it's a mode for is WORSHIPFUL LACKEY ACQUISITION.

In terms of future ventures, I won't make any decision on how I want to handle them right now. For the moment, I'll treat them as a bridge to cross when we come to it.

I'll buy Cirrus Skiff and League of Iron Preparation. Auspicious Recruitment Drive, the Sidereal Mode of LoIP, allows a Recruitment venture in even the most improbable of circumstances, so I'm going to recruit some sailor-marines while we sail. Maybe they can be taught to crew an airship. I'll also attempt one Summoning venture. Ijara is using Worshipful Lackey Acquisition and Fortuitous Fellowship to create two Tertiary Followers in Martially Inclined Local Sailors and Scholars of the Arcane. The former will assist her Recruitment venture, the latter her Summoning venture. There will again be buckets of dice, so I should probably roll in OoC if you approve this course of action.
Okay. So I'm hoping to hit the sack real soon, but having actually read through your plan and thought about it a bit this time, I'm going to say the following for now;

In terms of obstacles for the Recruitment Venture, I can't really think of any serious ones at all. Mainly since until it attacks someplace else, Aigaion's only going to be considered a big deal within Kyoma. In fact, League of Iron Preparation is apparently an unrolled Recruitment Venture, so there's no need for you to throw dice at all. You just get a Size 1 battle group - 1 being Ijara's Essence - with regular Drill, and can have them start off with one of the three universal benefits from League of Iron Preparation immediately.

Edit: Also, go ahead and add those two groups of Tertiary Followers to your character sheet, along with any collective destiny you decide to give them. I'll treat the expended motes as having been recovered during downtime.

It can be an unrolled Recruitment Venture if you want it to be instant. In this case Ijara has time, so she can do better than a Size 1 BG with Regular Drill by actually rolling. She can still give them LoIP benefits as normal over time.

Ah, okay. I'll look over it when I've had time to sleep then.

So in regards to the Recruitment Venture, these normally have a time-scale of a scene, which from my understanding of the corebook means you have to make one roll per scene. I'll let this requirement slide on this occasion, seeing as this Venture is meant to be one that happened in the past.

In terms of obstacles, I'll assume that Auspicious Recruitment Drive cancels out the issue of distance when it comes to gathering these recruits (I'm assuming they're spread out over at least a part of the West by this point). In which case, the first obstacle is probably going to be Cid asking questions about why these marines are hanging around.

Yes, Summoning also operates on time scales of a Scene. If you'd like, I can avoid doing Ventures during downtime and only play them out normally, scene by scene. I'm fine with that, that's why I asked if you were okay with me doing Ventures during downtime.

Do you want to set a dramatic scene where Ijara discusses the new ships with Cid?

If you don't mind writing one. Thinking though that we designate it as having taken place in the past while keeping the present day scene going, rather than pulling things back for the rest of the players.

On the subject of these marines, one thought I've had is that if they've had enough success to build up a reputation for themselves, Cid's likely smart enough to have recruited some of them into his crew beforehand.

By some unspoken agreement, the five of you have been granted a small table of your own
“Let the other exalt’s aboard I know want to have a talk with them during dinner. And tell the cook I want this..” Tulak pointed to a large grey centipede like lobster that seemed full of meat. “Sent to our table in the mess.”

Just checking, did Tulak intend to invite Ijara? To the best of everyone's knowledge, she is a mere mortal. It could have been, "Let the other Exalt's and that Sorcerer..."
